Brides, look no further. Lance needs to be your photographer. His skill is evident in every image he captured. He came early, stayed late, traveled far, and did it all with a smile...
on his face. Lance shot my December wedding and rehearsal dinner in Oxford, Mississippi and the photos are breathtaking. He is professional, low key, no drama and delivers on his promises- a true rarity in the midst of wedding planning. His online galleries are incredible but, trust me, the physical photographs he delivers are somehow even more stunning in person. They truly look like works of art, I don't know how he does it. 10/10 would recommend, Lance is one of a kind.
Lance was great! He was nice and calming and a pleasure to work with. He arrived early and stayed late. And the pictures are amazing! Good color and lighting, no matter the set...
ting. He captured so many special memories beautifully. I would highly recommend using him.
Lance is the absolute best photographer. Besides creating the most breathtaking pictures, he truly makes your day special. He worked so well with my family and we are so grateful h...
e was a part of our wedding. He made me feel calm and not stressed the entire day. He was so accommodating and listened to exactly what we were looking for in wedding pictures. Needless to say, I still look at my pictures everyday and am still in awe. The most important aspect of my wedding was the photographer and I am so lucky that we were able to get Lance Nicoll to capture those special moments. Thank you so much Lance!!
Lance was highly recommended by our wedding planner. We live in NJ and our communication from the start was smooth and he didn't have us worrying at all. We first met when we did o...
ur engagement pictures in City Park in January 2018 and when those pictures came in, we were so happy with our choice as we also booked a wedding package with him. On our wedding day, he and his assistant were super professional but also kept us at-ease -- everything felt so natural. He was super accommodating as well since I handed over a list of family pictures I wanted taken before our ceremony. I didn't think the pictures could be better than the engagement ones but they came out soooo beautiful. My husband and I (along with our family and friends) were amazed by them as he took a lot of them in natural light. He also sent us print outs and the photos on a USB drive but the packaging was beautiful as well. We're so happy that we went with him and would recommend him to those getting married in town or elsewhere!
I have changed my review for Lance Nicoll Wedding Photography. I want to begin with saying he is an excellent photographer but there a few things I would have done differently. The...
appeal of his work is seen through his social media platforms and that is why I chose to hire him as my wedding photographer, however, I did not see the same consistency translated in my wedding photos and if I could go back I would change several photos. The importantnce of one's wedding day is to capture the most intimate moments with your spouse and reflect on them later in life , but some of my photos felt rushed and out of place.
In traditional wedding photography , you often find the photographer will go through a list of photo's the bride has asked for to make sure each designated photo was taken. Although this was done prior to my wedding day, it was not excecuted in it's entirety. For example , I do not have photos with my parents or one with my brother . As the bride you hire people like a coordinator to control things that go on through out the day, but I also feel like it is the job of the photographer to also take charge make sure a bride is seen in her best light. I am an artist myself, and I have actually re edited several of my wedding day photos because they were out of focus, or I simply felt the angle was wrong. In other photos I am blinking etc. My reccomendation is to be sure of your wedding photographer and their vision before hiring them. I also paid for a second photographer, which was nice, but I wouldn't say it was necessary considering the photos I got back which felt a bit rushed. Due to the pricing of Lance's services one may expect more. I think an artist takes more time in something that is more appealing to them rather than what the client wants ,and for me this could not be more true. I also asked for a few photos to be looked at again that may have been under or over exposed, but I never received those. With work being as amazing as some of Lance's photos, his business is in high demand, and that is understanable, however I wish more time had been spend in the shooting my wedding day as well as the editing process. I would still recomment Lance to a bride looking for a fine arts wedding photographer because nothing in life is perfect and there will always be imperfections , but I would recommend a potential bride to make sure she is very calculated in her expectations and desires for the day.
Lance photographed my bridal luncheon and he was absolutely fantastic. All of the pictures came out beautifully. We had a large group of around 30 and I was able to get shots with ...
everyone. He did a great job of making sure I got a photo with each guest, while also taking great candid shots of the group. Thank you so much for capturing a great memory!
We love Lance and his beautiful work!!

ave blown away not only me and my husband but all of our friends and family. Lance was a pleasure to work with beforehand and made us feel at ease in front of the camera on our big day! I highly recommended working with Lance Nicoll Photography!
Lance was amazing! I could not recommend him more. Photography was a part of the wedding that really mattered to me but I also didn’t want to break the budget on photos. I found la...
nces prices super reasonable and after seeing his work, it was an easy choice. We talked about what I wanted leading up to the wedding (minimal posed photos, as many candids as possible, photos that captured the New Orleans feel) and he BEYOND delivered. I’ve had the photos a month now and I still look at them every day. He perfectly captured our most intimate and special moments and I honestly didn’t even remember seeing him in the room for them. He is truly wonderful and I could not recommend him more (and I’m a very tough critic)!
Lance was our photographer and I cannot say enough to recommend him. He was very accommodating with our last minute changes in plan due to weather, and his pictures were DREAMY! H...
e gave thoughtful recommendations, and was very natural in giving us direction for different shots. Definitely book him!
Lance was our photographer for both of our rehearsal dinner party and the wedding day, and hiring him was one of the best decisions we made for the wedding!
We knew he was the perf...
ect photographer for us once we met with him and checked out his pictures from other weddings he had done. He was patient, punctual, professional, and easy to work with. He also made us feel at ease and gave us good tips on posing. He took his time to take pictures of everything (setting, venue, decorations, flowers, etc) before the events, and he also took wonderful candid shots of all the guests enjoying the wedding.
He knows what are the important pictures that need to be done and he also knows how to use his time wisely to provide the best photos according to the weather. It was rainy on my wedding day and he was totally unfazed. He ran around in the rain poncho and continued to shoot our ceremony and second line in the rain! And boy, those pictures are BREATHTAKING!!! For our reception, he took the most amazing pictures that made it look like posters of a concert!!
He is so talented and genuine. He is also very quick to respond your emails if you have any concerns or questions.
If you want wonderful pictures on your wedding day, you MUST hire Lance!! You will not regret it. Trust me.
So glad we went with Lance as our wedding photographer! Seriously don't know what we would've done without him. He's professional, calm, and so good at what he does. We planned our...
wedding ourselves and Lance was kind enough to recommend vendors and help us with the day-of schedule. We also wisely decided to have him shoot our rehearsal dinner. All of our photos are truly breathtaking. If you want beautiful, stylish, classic yet modern photos, you will love Lance. He's worth every penny.
I honestly don't know if I could put into words how extraordinary Lance was during this time of our lives. From the detailed planning to the day we received our photos, he has been...
nothing but a dream to work with. Not only was the process of organization seamless (with a chaotic out-of-town bridal party, might I add) but the photos are nothing short of magical. I was so emotional looking at everything from that day when we received the full gallery as Lance truly captured the atmosphere and happiness from behind the camera. My family and I are over-the-top with these wedding pictures and our experience and I would recommend Lance Nicoll Wedding Photography to anyone looking for a relaxing yet incredibly professional artist.
Lance is amazing! We hired him for our wedding on 2.17.18 in New Orleans. I am an out of town bride, residing in Dallas, and researched a million different photographers for our ...
wedding day. Lance's style and the way he captured weddings appealed to me. I scheduled a call with him to review what I was looking for. The thing that sold me on Lance was his personality and how I could tell he would remain cool, calm and collected on the day of the wedding. I could tell he was a professional and had a very calming sense about him, which I knew would be imperative on the day of. I also loved how Lance captured the natural light in all his photos. We met with Lance about two months before our wedding in person. He was the nicest and I was very excited to work with them. On the day, he was INCREDIBLE! So professional, efficient and again, the calming presence needed. Our wedding party kept commenting how great and accommodating he was. He also wasn't afraid to shove a bystander out of capturing the perfect shot if necessary! We have since received our wedding photos and I could not be more pleased. I have received a million compliments on them and he honestly made my husband and I look like models :) We could not have asked for a better photographer. He is excellent and I would HIGHLY recommend hiring him!
We could not have asked for more from Lance and his team. The professionalism, the clear communications, the receptivity to the shots we wanted -- all we could have asked for. Lanc...
e and his team even managed to make me look somewhat presentable in the photos, which was no small feat! If we renew our vows in the future, we know who to ask :)
Words cannot describe how THRILLED my husband and I were when we booked Lance to shoot our rehearsal dinner and wedding. We immediately fell in love with his work due to the sheer ...
beauty and genuine emotion he is able to capture. We recently received our photos back from our October wedding and are in awe by how truly stunning they are!
From Day 1 Lance was incredible to work with and a true professional. We now live in Dallas but I am originally from NOLA, so he was able to meet with us when we were in town or over the phone as needed. He made us feel extremely secure in the planning and we never once worried about the photography schedule.
On the day of the wedding Lance took the lead and calmly organized and photographed our very large wedding party and families! He made the entire experience relaxing and fun, which clearly shines through in all of our images.
We HIGHLY recommend hiring Lance and wish there was an option for a 10 star rating!!!
Simply amazing! Lance and his team are wonderful to work with and produce amazing work - emotional and unique. HIGHLY recommend!
Our wedding planner recommended Lance and even though we ended up changing destinations for our wedding, we loved our engagement session photos and highly recommend Lance Nicoll!
Where do I even start? Lance was amazing from the very beginning. I was planning my New Orleans wedding from Memphis and it was pretty difficult. Not being able to meet ANY of my v...
endors face-t0-face was something I had a hard time with, being a total control freak, I just wanted to make sure that I was getting the best of the best. Well, Lance put ALL of my worries to ease from the very first phone call we had. I spoke with about 5-10 vendors all from New Orleans for photography, because it was one of the things I cared the most about. Lance went into detail about his career, how he teaches photography classes, has shot all over the world, his family, I mean he really opened up and made me feel like he was not only an amazing artist, but a class-act. From then, the rest is history. We exchanged e-mails over the months following and even had multiple phone conversations to ensure that I was at ease and felt good about the day-0f schedule. We even went over details such as the time of the sunset, so that we could optimize on the best lighting at the venue. I mean, c'mon!
I didn't have a wedding planner so I really relied on my vendors to use their expertise to tell me when something was off or wrong. Lance helped me SO MUCH throughout the planning process and on the day of the wedding. He listened to my concerns and gave me advice on how to progress throughout the day. All of this to say, I do feel like I was a unicorn bride and really didn't get too worked up over the days events. So Lance was great at just rolling with the punches, and my rather large family, to ensure that everything ran smoothly. Not only that, but his work and professionalism are INCREDIBLE. You can tell that he takes pride in everything that he does, even how he presents himself, which gives you the utmost confidence in working with him. I cannot wait to get our photos back, as I know they are going to be breathtaking. If you take anything from this review, let it be this: Lance is an amazing artist that will ensure you feel spectacular as the Bride and that your wishes and concerns are taken care of as top priority.
Lance is amazing! He was so great to work with and made the big day so easy for us. We received the pictures quickly and they are beautiful. He captured every moment perfectly....

m we decided to book him. Lance and his assistant (his lovely wife) were absolutely fantastic during the wedding. We are an out of town couple and did not know where to take our photos. He suggested City Park and we loved the big oak trees and Spanish moss - it fit perfectly with our colors. Our invite suit and rings, jewelry etc. were pretty basic but he was able to create neat shots of our details using different fabric and floral. Our group was incredibly comfortable with him the entire day. My husband and I are not great at posing or "modeling" but Lance managed to make everything feel very natural. We received the photos a few weeks after the wedding. I would highly recommend Lance for weddings in New Orleans!
