I don’t have enough words to describe how amazing this place is and how grateful we are for the people who work here! Our wedding guests cannot stop talking about how exquisite and...
unique our venue was. We knew as soon as we walked in that it was where we wanted to tie the knot! They are a bit tough to get a hold of however, so just keep trying... it’s completely worth it! I LOVE this place and will forever cherish our magical night here!
As others have noted, it was initially challenging to get in touch with the Friends of the Loew’s. However, when it came down to important logistics everything went off without a h...
itch and everyone involved was very reliable and professional. The building itself is breathtaking and it’s nice to know that the revenue from events helps maintain and restore the historic theater. The ceremony in the theater with live organ music was incredibly fun and dramatic, could not have imagined a better setting!
This is a fabulous venue. Easy to get to for tri-state folks (it's just across the street from a PATH stop, which was super convenient for us since most of our guests were coming i...
n from NYC). It's gorgeous. Having your name on the marquee is very cool. A lot of places for cool pictures. The organ is a neat touch. The price is super reasonable. It really made for a unique wedding experience, and I am grateful to the Loews for having hosted us.
THAT ALL BEING SAID. If you choose to make this your venue, you need to be prepared to do a lot of work. And you need to be prepared to be super pushy and persistent. It is not an easy organization to get in contact with. I would go weeks without hearing back from the event organizer, despite my making a number of calls and e-mails during any given time frame. This is INCREDIBLY frustrating in the planning of a wedding where you really need to be able to get every vendor on the same page for planning purposes. Beyond the simple necessity of being in touch with our wedding venue to have questions answered, etc., I was particularly put off by the fact that as we had gone through the planning process, I had been told all along that we would have the space available to us on the Friday prior to our Saturday wedding for a rehearsal unless they wound up booking the space. As it turned out, they HAD booked the space for that Friday night and we needed to shift our plans to have the rehearsal on the Thursday before. This in and of itself would NOT have been a big deal at all had it been communicated in a timely manner. However, the organizer did not share this information with us until we spoke in person two weeks before the event during the course of a meeting meant to solidify details. And she only told us when we specifically brought up the rehearsal timing. I have no understanding as to why she would not have thought to share this information at the point where she booked the space for another party on that Friday. That was super confusing to me. Again, I understand the necessity of their making as many bookings as possible, but it seems like an important thing to communicate about.
Moral of the story- it's worth the hassle, but be prepared for a HASSLE. My advice to management would be to hire an assistant or an intern to be in charge of any bookings, because working with Patty (although she is a lovely person) is absolutely infuriating.
