We loved having our wedding here this past June. We vacation in FMB often and thought the Lani Kai had the perfect vibe for a laid back, beautiful, fun beach wedding and we were ri...
ght! They took great care of us and our guests.
We did our rehearsal dinner last minute in the restaurant and the food was delicious.
The rooms are good, but depending on the location in the hotel it might be good to bring ear plugs because some nights with the bands and bars below it’s a little noisy.
Ultimately wouldn’t change a thing though!
Wedding was amazing, the event coordinators Ally and Miranda did an amazing job and really went the extra mile handling all of our out of state questions in a quick and timely matt...
er. The food was amazing, house DJ Garret performed our ceremony and reception and did an amazing job keeping the party going and playing the genres we asked for. Everything was great and we can't wait to come back and celebrate our honeymoon, thanks again!
For our honeymoon we traveled to the Lani Kai in Fort Myers Beach Florida. We were just looking for a cheap get away that was right on the beach. When arriving we were greeted by ...
a younger girl who must have been new there because a tall man came over to help her. The girl was very polite but the man was so rude. The room was just ok. We got a king size ocean view room. It was just a typical Holiday Inn type of room. I believe it may have had a pull out couch but I'm not sure. The room was very outdated but it did have an up to date flat screen tv. The bed was ok comfortable. We had to ask for a couple more pillows, you could tell they had been used for a long time they were about flat as a blanket. There was a mini fridge and microwave. Both of those were clean and worked well. We never tried any of the restaurants at the hotel, but there were many options available. Prices seemed a little high but not too bad. The beach was nice, the had chairs and tables and umbrellas available for rent but you are better off bringing your own. We spent 18 dollars two of our days there to rent two chairs and an umbrella. Now going down there I kind of expected it to be like Panama City Beach's beach. It was nothing like that. There was still white sand but there isn't clear water. People were finding a lot of sand dollars and star fish. The balcony was nice. They had 2 chairs and a table, nice to sit out there in the mornings, we seen dolphins really close to shore just about every morning. There was a pool but we only had the chance to use it once it was closed while they paid some new tiles down. Over all the room was ok, they just need some major updating. I don't really think I would go back again. It is more of a place for like 21 year olds to go to that just want to drink and party all week. They play live music from noon till about 2 am but it's nothing too loud. At least not for us on the 3rd floor. They are waitresses that will serve you drinks on the beach if you would like but they are pretty expensive for my taste. It was 6.25 for a small solo cup, not sure what they beer prices were my guess was just high. There wasn't a day there though I didn't see hotel staff or police taking someone off the property. Now if you don't spend your afternoon at the beach it may be hard for you to park your car, they rent out the parking lot during the day for people going to the beach. They do have additionally parking across the street but that's used by people going to the beach as well. It was nice that a lot of stuff was within walking distance. We ate at YoTaco across the street, which I would recommend. The Beached Whale, it was a good seafood place just down the street, go there before 6 for happy hour appetizers and cheap drinks. There was a pizza place a ways down the road you would have to drive to that was excellent. I was maybe 10 mins away but we had pizza twice from there it was so good. Best pizza I've ever had.
