LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort

Our wedding day at La Playa was perfect! We had an intimate beach ceremony, cocktail hour on the lawn, and dinner under the terrace due to potential storms. Jane made planning a destination wedding so easy and made sure our wedding day was exactly what we hoped for. With Jane we had nothing to worry about on our wedding day. The service, staff, and food were amazing! Everything turned out so perfectly and we are very happy we chose La Playa for our wedding!

While we didn't end up choosing to get married in Florida, we had a wonderful experience looking into La Playa. The facilities are beautiful and the wedding packages cover everything. Jane was wonderful to work with, always able to answer any questions that came up.

La Playa was the perfect venue for our wedding! Our ceremony was on the lawn looking out at the beach giving guests the beach experience without the sandy mess. We received so many compliments on the food, it was delicious! Our wedding coordinator Betsy was extremely helpful in making sure the day was perfect.

Best decision we ever made was to book our wedding at La Playa. From day 1 they were on top of their game, every detail, every paperwork, scheduling, timing, communicating, etc. The day of the wedding was absolutely flawless. They have so many people working for you and with you to make sure it all goes to plan. The passed apps and dinner were phenomenal, so many compliments by my guests on the amazing food! The service was wonderful. The staff, truly amazing. Everyone at La Playa was wonderful to work with, but I personally worked with Betsy. She was so amazing, I can’t say enough good things . I have gotten SO many compliments on how amazing our wedding was . I barely had any vendors, I did things very simple and minimalistic, and it was still the most beautiful venue ever!! If you get the chance to book your wedding here, do it. They will take care of you and you absolutely won’t regret it!

LaPlaya received some damage after hurricane Irma so therefore we were really worried if the beach and hotel would be prepared in time. Of course they were and Karen was in contact with us almost every week after Irma until the wedding day, she was absolutely awesome. They worked with us very nicely so we could still hold our big day at the place of our dreams. Even though it rained the day of our wedding and we weren't able to have the ceremony on the beach, everyone at LaPlaya worked really hard to make everything beautiful and perfect! They even let us bring sand from the beach to the veranda so we could get married with our "toes in the sand." It was absolutely amazing and gorgeous.

There is so much good to say about LaPlaya and our catering manager Betsy Moffitt that I don't even know where to begin. My now-hubby and I searched up and down the east and west coasts of Florida for a venue for our October 14th wedding. LaPlaya checked off every box and Betsy absolutely sealed the deal with her calm demeanor, knowledge, and responsiveness. Fast forward to a month before our wedding when Hurricane Irma came right through Naples! My husband and I had just moved to Alabama from South Florida and were suddenly finalizing a "destination" wedding and didn't know what would become of our wedding day. Despite LaPlaya being closed to guests (even through today!), Betsy never abandoned us. We had our hearts set on LaPlaya and we were unable to find a new venue. Betsy worked with us and her manager and since it was only the beach side of the resort that was affected, LaPlaya agreed to still host our reception in their bayside ballroom. We also opted for a beach ceremony instead of the Gulf Lawn. Betsy then helped us to move all of our guest rooms to another resort down the street - she literally took care of the entire swap, I just had to notify my guests of the change. My husband and I showed up at LaPlaya 2 days before our wedding when we got into town and did a walk-through of the LaPlaya property with Betsy. There were gardeners out replanting and cleaning up Lantern Lane. There were workers cleaning up the pool deck. Betsy brought in plants to camouflage the construction. The day of the wedding, you'd barely know LaPlaya was closed, let alone recovering from a major hurricane. The beach ceremony was beautiful (and we had it to ourselves!), Lantern Lane was perfect, and the Ballroom was pristine. The service was superb! We truly could not have asked for a better weekend, hurricane and all!

I contacted 3 potential resorts for my FL destination wedding plans. The moment I spoke with Melanie Dorcy from La Playa I knew my choice was made. It's as if Melanie knew exactly what I envisioned and brought it to life! There was never any unease with being so far away... Melanie not only kept me abreast of every detail, but made suggestions that I could not have imagined. Melanie, you made my perfect day a reality!

Fantastic location - we had our wedding ceremony on the Gulf Lawn and reception in the Vanderbilt Ballroom. Great food, and the catering staff were amazing and so easy to work with. Overall, our guests all had a really great experience. It was also very easy to plan a destination wedding here from out of town. Would definitely recommend!

My parents live in Naples and so LaPlaya was a natural choice for our small wedding of 40 people. We have always loved Baleen, the restaurant in the hotel, and had seen many weddings take place on the lawn. I worked with Julie on the wedding, and couldn't have been happier with how it all turned out. The wedding was perfect and I will be honest with you that I did not do a lot of planning. LaPlaya knows weddings, so if you are looking to work with professionals, have your wedding here. Their preferred vendors were wonderful and knew the property well (Luminaire Photography) so we got the best lighting for our pictures. LaPlaya was also very accomodating with our requests, so their wedding packages were flexible and could be catered to your needs. The best part was staying at the hotel, which was beautiful with great service. Our guests had a great time and really loved the vacation. I would recommend LaPlaya to anyone wanting a destination wedding in a beautiful location.

I had my wedding at La Playa Beach and Golf Resort on September 24, 2012. When I arrived to the hotel the day before my wedding, I was greeted by the very friendly hotel staff at the front desk. We got an ocean view suite and I will say that the hotel needs a little updating but they do try to keep as clean as they can and it is charming. Once you look at the view, you couldn't care less about anything but what is out your window. I could sit and watch the view and listen to the ocean every day. My wedding coordinater and officiant was Gail Alvarado and I couldn't ask for anyone better. Planning my wedding from NJ was a little scary but she made everything better and simple for me. I kept in touch with her by phone/email and she was always fast in getting back to me. She made sure things went as planned and worked around any changes I made for my wedding. She was there with me throughout my entire wedding and she is the reason why everything was so perfect. Thank you so much Gail for everything! The venue itself was so beautiful and you have more than one location to choose from. I decided to have my ceremony on the beach, but you can have it on the lawn area that overlooks the beach. They also have the bay area and other scenery that are great for pictures. My wedding was so beautiful and peaceful at LaPlaya that I wish I could have my wedding all over again. After taking pictures with my amazing photographer Joe Capasso, we ate our dinner at Baleens and I am speechless with all the delicous food they had, that I wish I could just fly back to Naples, FL from NJ to just eat there and come back. I had the lobster risotto and for appetizer we had Lobster Mac & Cheese and it was to die for! The waiters and waitresses were the nicest that I have ever met in my life along with all hotel staff. I felt like a queen in that resort! They seriously have the best customer service. The pool areas, and tiki bar are the best but my favorite is of course the beach. I loved how they put an umbrella over you, a table next to you, and flag pole behind you so that if you want drinks or food, you can just pull the flag up. I had an amazing time at this resort and will always recommend it. It was so relaxing I cannot wait for my next trip back there. I am so glad that we chose to have our wedding at the LaPlaya! Everything turned out so amazing! The staff was so easy to work with and made sure that we got everything we wanted and then some out of our experience. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a fabulous beach wedding!

Most beautiful resort, best people to work with. Has a very boutique feel and the front lawn is gorgeous. Karen and Gail are amazing to work with!!

The food was wonderful and the place was beautiful. Everyone loved La Playa! I definitely know that I picked the right place! I would have my wedding there again if I had to do it over!

In two words...casual elegance. We decided to have a beach wedding. Neither my husband nor I are overly formal people yet we still wanted the elegance of a formal wedding. La Playa was the only location we looked at in Naples that delivered both an inviting, casual atmosphere yet the surroundings are all top notch and done to perfection. It was exactly what we had hoped for!;The only thing I can think of is that this resort is not very large. If you're one of those brides (as I was) that did not want your future husband to see you on the wedding day - you'd better find something for him to do to get him off premise. Most brides that get married on the beach on the West coast plan for sunset weddings so that means you have the full day before the ceremony. I arranged a morning/afternoon of golf for the guys so he was occupied and by the time he returned I was back in my room after hair/makeup in the spa.
