The whole process was exceptional. LaProng went the extra-mile in making sure I was fully happy in my custom design during the design phase and the actual creation experience was equally as enjoyable. Great motivation and guidance throughout the whole day and I felt really empowered to create a great final product. An overall unique experience that is hard to find anywhere else.

Joseph and Jamie are exceptional! They walked us through the entire process from start to finish. Jamie is a fantastic teacher and jeweler, we loved working with him. My fiancé and I left not only with one of a kind rings for each other, but an experience to remember. We’re so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such talented and kind individuals.

One of the most exciting and fun ways to get our wedding bands. Joseph is so personable and easy to get along with, he's very complimentary, and helped us as much or as little as needed. He could tell when we could do it, and when we really needed and wanted the help. Don't worry at all if you're scared that you'll make an ugly ring because Joseph will make sure its exactly how you want it. He led us through the process very well, and gave us time to have fun with it. We did not feel rushed at all. He answered all my questions about the tools and process and he had everything prepared and ready for us. Overall, just do this instead of buying rings. 100% worth the experience and price.

When I found the woman that I wanted to marry I wanted the ring I gave her to be special. I found Laprong Jewelers Engagement Ring workshop and knew it was the perfect option. I travelled to Texas and was expertly guided in a unique and fun workshop to build the engagement ring I would ultimately give my Fiancée. Fast forward and my Fiancée and I wanted wedding bands that were equally as meaningful. I travelled to Texas again, but this time for a couples ring building course. The experience could not have been better. We received fantastic guidance and were walked through each step carefully. Joseph even gave some great suggestions to compliment the engagement ring I had built on my last visit. If you're looking for a special, romantic, and engaging experience I absolutely recommend one of the ring building workshops!

Could not be happier with Joseph and his work! He is very easy to talk to, and took the time to carefully address all of my concerns about the engagement ring, and he created exactly what we wanted. The ring was flawless! We also did his DIY experience to make our wedding bands and it was well worth the money. This class was better than we expected! We truly did every step of the ring making. And Joseph made that easy, fun, and interesting! It is a very well thought out class. Everytime I look at the ring I made I think of how I started with a strip of metal and slowly turned it into his ring that symbolizes our love. My husband always knew he wanted to be a part of the process of making my engagement ring. So after he proposed and told me that he actually made my ring, I was shocked because of how gorgeous it was. After losing a side-stone the day I got it, Joseph quickly replaced the missing stone and triple-checked all of the others. My husband and I decided the day after we got engaged that we wanted to make each other's wedding bands as well. I was a little nervous as anything I try to make ends up looking like a 2-year-olds macaroni art piece, but Joseph walked us through step by step, and both rings turned out amazing! It was such a memorable and fun experience that I have recommended him to anyone that will listen to me. So if you want a unique ring, Joseph is the man to go to!

The was a wonderful experience. I love the idea of giving a ring with so much sentimentality and personal touch to it for my husband. And the finished product looks like a profession store bought ring so there’s no sacrifice in quality or look of the ring at all. This is really such an amazing experience. I can recommend it more. we drove all the way from Houston just to do this. We struggled to find bands that were matching and wouldn't be too manly for me and wasn't just a plain gold band. This experience topped that we were able to make our bands to the specifications we wanted and have the unique attachment that we made them. They will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We are so thankful to Joseph for having something like this and taking the time to go over all of the steps with such patience and detail. He is a true master of his craft! Don't go to major jewlers. Do it yourself!

If you're like me and always wanted to make the engagement ring for your significant other but tools were too expensive, look no further because this is the workshop for you. I did alot of research on multiple different locations before deciding on LaProng and I'm glad I did. Their workshop is faster, cheaper, and a higher quality then the competition. Unlike other workshops this on is a one day workshop from 9am - 5pm. Price wise LaProng was over $1000 cheaper then others even after flight costs and hotel since I'm not local. The quality of the rings that come out of this workshop was my main driving factor for choosing LaProng. The pictures lived up to their words and my ring came out beautifully. Joseph was also super cool and willing to work with me on customizing it the way I wanted it. He is a great teacher and mentor and made the experience really enjoyable. I would 1000% recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

I got an ad for LaProng on instagram. I brought it up to my fiance that it could be fun. And damn was I right! Joseph got everything in order for us on short notice. He guided us the whole way thru the process. He showed us what to do and then let us do it. And he made it so easy for us to craft these beautiful rings that we'll be wearing for the rest of our lives. It was a great bonding experience for me and my fiance, it was also super fun to get to work along side my partner and make an amazing memory together. I don't have enough great things to say about our time with Joseph at LaProng! If you're even thinking about doing this, just do it. You won't regret it!

We spent the better part of a wonderful Saturday with Joseph in his workshop to create our beautiful DIY wedding bands. The workshop is incredible - like a creative wonderland for adults :) Joseph was fun and friendly, and is a master at his craft. He was a great teacher and was able to instruct us (complete novices) on how to use the equipment every step of the way, without needing to jump in himself. We had the workshop to ourselves that day so were the only couple he was assisting. This was truly a DIY experience, and we left feeling accomplished and proud of the rings that we made for each other. You can't buy this from a store... We have gotten many complements on our work, and every time we tell people that we made them ourselves, we get to proudly hand over our rings for inspection. I will admit... I personally love seeing the awe in peoples faces every time. The cost of the workshop is very reasonable, and the total cost was just the workshop fee+cost of the metal. He customizes the cost for each couple so you aren't paying for more gold than what is used (for us it was about $1800 in total for our 2 gold bands). My husband and I both highly recommend LaProng to all of our friends - it is a once in a lifetime experience that is so much more fun than just picking out a pre-made band from a jewelry store (for about the same price).

I highly recommend the engagement ring workshop to anyone. I felt as if extra meaning is added to the engagement ring by being instrumental in creating it. Joseph is a great teacher and steps you through the process in a manner that is easy to follow. He let's you complete each task on your own as much as you want but is ready to step in if you ever need his help and expertise. You gain a greater appreciation for the difficult work that goes into creating an engagement ring. I am so impressed with how fantastic the ring came out. It looks exactly like the image we had planned beforehand. As an added bonus, you can grab some delicious Texas BBQ at lunch during the workshop.

I am a recent college grad with a low budget and Joseph took the time to help me find the right material combination to stay within budget. The whole process was great! He was willing to work with us on a design that was a bit more complicated than normal. The design came out beautiful and we were involved in the process the whole time. Now we can't wait for our wedding so that we can start wearing these rings already!

As a routine, I make a ring myself for my wife each year for our anniversary. In the past few years I’ve worked with woodcarvers, ceramists, glass blowing artists and embroideriers; among them, my experience with Joe is one of the best. Not only because of the convenient location of his workshop and reasonable charge, but also the arrangement of the session. The most challenging part of hosting such workshops is to meet the somewhat self-contradictory requests from the attendants. On the one hand, people want to roll their sleeves, get their hands dirty and find the craftsman side of themselves ; on the other hand, however, they also expect an undemanding, laidback and pleasant process ending with an easy success. It is usually difficult to achieve both, but Joe finds the perfect balance point. As I told him during my session, making a ring with his mentoring is like watching a baseball game – you get excited but not frantic, engaged but not engrossed, sweaty but not out of breath. I strongly recommend Joe’s workshop to everyone who either wants to spend a fulfilling day with his/her loved one together to make something memorable or plans to make a surprise for a special occasion.

In early April I did the engagement ring workshop. The level of detail in instruction was amazing. Not only did Joseph walk me through how to do each step until i was comfortable performing it myself, he also explained why we were doing it and how it will affect the final product. Building your own engagement ring is a pretty nerve racking experience, but Joseph's direction and supervision definitely put me at ease. His extense knowledge and experience on the subject became apparent very early on. Joseph was also very helpful and communicative when I was still deciding to build the ring. He helped me choose between various materials and made several great diamond recommendations based on my desires and price range. From the first inquiry email I sent to closing the box on the finished ring Joseph was an excellent guide and I cant recommend LaProng Jewelry enough.

My fiance and I made wedding bands with his help, and it was a wonderful experience. Joseph is extremely patient and funny, and he took the time to get to know us during process. Creating the jewelry was very hands on, and each time we look at our rings, it's a beautiful reminder of the life we've crafted with each other. Laboring over each other's rings was a beautiful expression of the work, care, and commitment it takes to have a successful relationships. I truly don't know why anyone would purchase a ring from a store, when this is available in DFW!

This was an awesome experience! We had a great time working together to make each other's rings and learning about something that we didn't have any previous knowledge of! The process was interesting and although it took about 7 hours it was smooth and time flew by. I recommend this to every couple!
