Lark Cake Shop - Sliver Lake

john was fantastic about letting me try as many flavors as i wanted (i love desserts!). we ended up having a 5-tier, 4-flavor cake: black-and-white, vanilla, wild berry, and carrot. there was so much food at the wedding that we had an entire leftover cake tier to take to a family party the next day. i was so happy to be able to enjoy my favorite, the wild berry, the next day. the italian buttercream was to die for and i'm glad that all the ingredients are fresh and made from scratch! delicious and beautiful!

This place has the best cakes!!! We actually used to live right by the Silver Lake location! From the very beginning they were very attentive and asked all the right questions to get the cake we wanted. They let us try any of the cake flavors we wanted! We were torn on whether to get one cake or a smaller cake with cupcakes because we loved so many flavors. They gave us great advice with what combination would work for us and it worked out perfect! They also have different frostings, but their buttercream is the best I have ever had and honestly I do not even care for buttercream, but this place made it a game changer for me. Thank you Lark for making our special day amazing!

We got the cakes for our wedding from Lark, and they were excellent! Our main cake was a two-tier red velvet cake; we also served a carrot cake and a chocolate icebox cake. All three were a hit with our guests! Their cakes are just sweet enough to be delicious without being cloying or overdone. From the moment we tasted at Lark, we knew we wanted them to bake for our wedding, and they did an amazing job. As an added bonus, they're very reasonably priced; they were by far the best bakery we tasted at, but not even close to the most expensive one!

Cake was delicious and beautiful. We ended up saving money by having a fake cake with three tiers of frosted styrofoam, which we thought was brilliant. Everything from the tasting to the delivery went smoothly. I would highly recommend Lark for your wedding cake.

We got our wedding cake from Lark Cake Shop! They did such a fantastic job and it tasted AMAZING. John was very accommodating and helpful. He was always quick to get back to me answered all of my questions. The other great thing was the price. They didn’t overcharge at all which was so refreshing after planning a wedding and working with people who were not nearly as accommodating on your budget. They also delivered the cakes when we needed them. Such a great bakery, would recommend to anyone. They also helped us with a surprise for both my parents and the groom’s parents. It was their 30th anniversaries the same month so they made a cake that was very cohesive with our design and with our wedding cake. Fantastic service!

After a delicious complementary tasting, we confirmed that we wanted a berry cake. We ordered a naked 3-tiered cake and showed a picture to the staff of our inspiration - they literally recreated the picture to a T with berries and powdered sugar on the edges of the tiers. We were so impressed! People complemented the cake all night! And the best part is we can buy the cupcake version for our anniversaries :)

We were so happy with our cakes from Lark Cake Shop. We ended up getting 3 smaller cakes instead of one big one because we couldn't decide on which flavor we liked best. We got a ton of compliments on them - they were delicious and looked beautiful.

Hands down the BEST bakery and wedding cake vendor in Los Angeles! My wife and I purchased our wonderful wedding cake here. We were not planning to make a decision and wanted to explore more options but the moment we tried their flavors on our cake tasting appointment, we immediately fell in love and just had to have the ice box and the mocha as our wedding cakes! The price, service, and especially the flavor and quality of their wedding cakes are UNBEATABLE, and John was an absolute pleasure to deal with. The cakes, especially the icebox, were honestly one of the main things that I was excited for for our wedding and I even went on record to say that (Ask our videographers!)! I highly HIGHLY recommend this place for any and all occasions!

John met with us twice because we were not sure at first what we wanted to do for our wedding cake. We had a cake supplied to us in our wedding package, but we didn't like the vendors that were in our package. John was so great. He held two tastings for us, and his prices were unbeatable. Lark's gingersnap icebox cake is our favorite cake in the entire world, so with John's help, we made that cake our wedding cake (sheet cake in the back). Then John helped us to decide on a smaller 2-tier cake for our display cake. Everything was delivered on time and tasted amazing. THANK YOU JOHN!!!!

beautiful and simple design with delicious flavors. we had a three tier cake and a grooms cake on the side. for the three tier we had carrot cake, salted caramel & chocolate mousse. The outside was a light and delicious butter cream. The grooms cake was their famous "ice box" cake which is basically a giant oreo cookie with fresh whipped cream. VERY unique and delicious!!!! John, the owner, is very nice and let us taste EVERYTHING when we came in. hes very nice and easy to deal with! they also delivered for a good price. on time and the cake in perfect condition.

The cake was exactly what I wanted. They made it happen. Every flavor is delicious - we found it difficult to choose. All our guests loved the cake. We were thrilled with The Lark Cake Shop!
