About this vendor
I offer adventurous photography for outdoorsy couples, so that you can have genuine photos as epic as your love.
Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, and the last thing you want to stress about is feeling awkward in your photos. We’ve all seen wedding photos on Instagram where a couple is staring longingly into each other’s eyes while standing forehead to forehead on a mountain top … but if you’d rather focus on having a great time than following some photographer’s posing manual, we should talk.
Having a stress-free experience and getting epic photos begins with finding a photographer you love, and that comes down to more than just seeing a few photos. When you find someone who gets you as a couple, you’ll have so much more fun together – and love the photos all the more for it.

She made us feel as if our budget and needs from a vendor were too much. Canceled on us a year out from our wedding due to a lack of childcare
We were so happy with Nina’s services. We reached out to her with the idea of getting eloped on a hike we did once several years ago. It was a challenging 5.5 mile hike with 1800 f...
eet of elevation gain. She scoped out the hike a year in advance and sent us photos and thoughts to help us plan. She made sure we were prepared with everything we needed. We ended up doing a micro wedding at a nearby campground followed by a hike. Nina photographed all of this and getting ready and a first look. She made a detailed itinerary and sent us google map locations. She recommended fantastic vendors and restaurants nearby. She made everything so easy for us particularly as we were planning from hundreds of miles away in Phoenix and aren’t very familiar with the area. The photos and the experience curated by Nina couldn’t be better! Hire her!
Simply put, Nina is hands-down the best of the best. Back at the beginning of the year, my fiancé (now wife!) and I came across Nina’s website and immediately fell in love. We went...
from planning a huge “traditional” wedding to scaling back and changing the entire trajectory by opting for a microwedding with our closest friends and family, just by seeing and reading her website. From the moment we landed on the site, it felt as though she was speaking to us; we were immediately inspired and knew we wanted Nina to be the one to capture our most special day.
We quickly got in touch with Nina, and shortly after had a Zoom call scheduled to meet her and share our vision. We were blown away with her wealth of knowledge, ideas, expertise, attention to detail, and desire to genuinely get to know us, all just from that first call, and we couldn’t put down our deposit fast enough!
Living in Kansas, we had to plan everything for our Colorado elopement off-site and there couldn’t have been a more perfect person to help us do and handle just that, than Nina. In the beginning, we were kind of all over the place and didn’t have a clear idea on what exactly we wanted, but Nina effortlessly took the reigns and we trusted and followed her lead without question - which was the best decision we could have made! She continued to amaze us month by month; pulling permits, organizing and creating detailed timelines for the big day’s events, keeping us updated throughout, and continuing to be our sense of reassurance and relief which is priceless when planning a wedding out of state.
We were able to put all of our trust in Nina and can genuinely say that in doing so, we had the most beautiful, special, and beyond perfect wedding. She made the entire process unbelievably stress free from start to finish, and we couldn’t thank her enough. Nina single-handedly curated the most important day of our lives, and we’ve been flooded with constant compliments of how perfect everything was.
We weren’t sure how well we’d do when being photographed because my wife and I had always previously experienced having our photos taken as “awkward”, but with Nina it couldn’t have been any further from the case. She did such an incredible job in making us comfortable and encouraging us to soak in the feeling that we were finally here, on our wedding day, that we got lost in the entrancement of one another and the genuine authenticity of it all shines through and shows so deeply in the photos.
We could just go on and on about how insanely lucky we are to have found Nina. There is no one on this earth we would have rather had capture our special day, and we are so deeply fortunate to have both memories and photographs to remind us of how truly amazing everything was for the rest of our lives. Nina has a true passion for her work, and it shows in absolutely everything she does. We’re forever grateful and incredibly fortunate to have been given the opportunity to work with Nina, and we couldn’t recommend her more. We love you Nina!!!
Nina has perfected her craft! We chose our wedding day based on Nina’s availability knowing we wanted her to capture our special day. She exceeded our expectations in every way pos...
sible. She made getting our pictures taken feel effortless and natural, and I knew I did not have to worry if she was capturing the moments/pictures we wanted. It was important to me to have both an elopement and micro wedding feel. Nina helped make this happen and picked the most beautiful location to have our mountain photos taken. The time we had together before the ceremony was incredibly beautiful and special and is something we will cherish forever. We also have her to thank for finding our wedding venue and recommending some incredible hikes for the rest of our trip! If you have stumbled upon this review look no further, because Nina is the best of the best and you will be over the moon that you picked her
Hiring Nina was by the far the best choice we made for our wedding. Not only is her work absolutely GORGEOUS - but she has a calming attitude that made my new husband and I so comf...
ortable. We felt safe that no matter what happened (from the centerpieces not matching the way we imaged to COVID and wildfires completely changing plans) Nina would make our day look as special as we imagined. I would recommend Nina in a heartbeat.
Nina did an incredible job capturing our wedding/elopement, but also made the whole planning process so easy. She was so kind, patient and knowledgeable about everything! Not only ...
are her photos breathtaking, but she organized our day seamlessly and made it so relaxing and fun. Thank you so much for making our day absolutely perfect!
Nina is a dream to work with. We originally had a bigger wedding planned for Estes Park, but because of COVID we decided to cancel and elope instead. Nina helped us seamlessly tran...
sition from wedding to elopement and create a new plan. She has put together amazing resources to help you plan your day (especially helpful since we were traveling from Oklahoma). She created a timeline for us and made sure to communicate with our other vendors, so everyone was on the same page. She arrived early and even helped make sure we had everything we needed loaded up in the car, so we could head to our ceremony location. Our photos turned out amazing..Nina is truly so talented at what she does! We felt so comfortable. I love that she captures natural moments. I feel like I am reliving our day when I look at the photos. Nina is very organized, professional, so helpful, but most importantly she is an awesome human being! We can't recommend Nina enough.
We've done a few photoshoots with Nina but in June we did our engagement shoot in Rocky Mountain National Park. She is so professional and makes the process extremely easy and tail...
ored to you. We gave her an idea of what 'vibe' we were going for with our pics and she gave us some incredible suggestions. She also prepared us for the shoot and was communicative throughout, met us right on time, and led us straight to some of the best lookouts in the park.
She got our photos back to us so quickly and they look INCREDIBLE.
She is extremely dedicated to her couples, and takes strides to make sure that you feel as comfortable as possible. She is also very openly LGBTQ+ inclusive, which was very important for my fiancee and I in a photographer. I would wholeheartedly recommend Nina to anyone at all looking for an adventure shoot just for fun, an engagement shoot, an elopement, or a huge wedding. She will not disappoint!
Nina is absolutely AMAZING! We got to work with Nina on both our engagement and wedding day photos and we could not be more thankful that we did! Nina is not only a fantastic photo...
grapher but also an amazing person. She makes everyone feel so relaxed and comfortable and I could not be more thankful for the beautiful photos she took of our friends and family that we will treasure forever. Both of our families and many guests commented on how wonderful Nina is and how she was like magic that she was able to be everywhere and capture everything! Whether you are planning an elopement or a large wedding, you cannot go wrong working with Nina. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and am sad that this review likely could not do her the justice she deserves. THANK YOU, NINA!
Where do I even begin with Nina?! Thoughtful, professional, a breeze to work with. From the start, Nina’s process was clearly communicated and very well organized. She checked in w...
ith us multiple times along the way, provided us with helpful guides, recommended vendors, came up with a timeline, and made payments easy. She delivered sneak peeks in record time, created little videos out of our gallery images, and used a gallery interface that is simple and easy to use.
Not only did Nina capture breathtaking engagement photos, but we are in love with our wedding photos! She found the perfect first look location and kept her spirits up when it was raining (the sun came out just for us!). Throughout the day, she made sure that we had time to ourselves to soak it all in, capturing stunning images along the way. Looking through our wedding album is truly like reliving the day.
Nina, you think through every detail and we could not be more grateful. THANK YOU!
I wish I had written this review sooner, because Nina did an AMAZING job photographing our Garden of the Gods elopement in May. She always made herself available to help out whenev...
er she could, including at 9pm the night before our wedding because our ceremony venue got destroyed! It looked like a tractor had driven right through the field we were originally going to use and we had to come up with a solution FAST. Nina was so supportive and suggested we use our portrait venue for our wedding and everything worked out so well.
Nina was very professional and timely with our pictures. She made sure to ask us what we wanted and we loved getting to know her and her style prior to booking.
She made us feel so comfortable on the day of our wedding and captured some amazing shots. I would 100% recommend her to anyone for beautiful pictures and a great time! We could not imagine our day without Nina having been apart of it and we are so thankful for her capturing the best moments and our personalities in every picture.
Nina was incredible! I found Nina after searching for a photographer who did a wonderful job at our venue. Her pictures were gorgeous and I loved how they didn't look posed. The ph...
otos for our wedding did not disappoint as they looked natural, beautiful, and captured and feel of the day/night! We had some challenging circumstances to overcome with the weather (it was a crazy late snow year and the mountains were super soggy) - Nina went up to the mountains a day early to scout new sites for us that matched the feel we were looking for! She was so prepared and had umbrellas for the little showers that popped up, made it so fun, and low stress! She was the BEST to work with! Could not recommend her more highly!!
Nina captured our wedding day so beautifully and we cannot say enough amazing things about her!!! My husband and I kept things very simple for our big day out in the mountains but ...
wanted to make sure we found someone we knew would not only take gorgeous pictures but create a work of art for us to cherish forever. We are from Kansas City and Nina is super knowledgeable of so many breathtaking locations throughout the state, both well know and hidden gems. She helped select the perfect spot for our wedding day and even with the heavy snowfall this year becoming an obstacle, days before the wedding Nina helped us find a new location that would ensure we did not feel as if we were settling. She even talked with our officiant Phil Gallagher for us to coordinate with him since we were traveling! We ended up holding our ceremony at Sapphire Point and at no point did we ever feel stressed about the relocation and we owe this all to Nina! Our photo shoot before our wedding was so much fun too!! Even though it was our first time meeting in person, being with Nina immediately felt like spending time with a true friend. She ensured we were relaxed and that all the emotion in our photos was organic and natural. During our wedding Nina captured the unique beauty of our ceremony and made it feel sincerely unique to us and our story, and not just another wedding. We had all sort of chipmunks around us for our ceremony and she even took the opportunity to incorporate them into some of our photos which turned out adorably! During the ceremony Nina worked with our officiant so well and you could tell that the two worked together like a true team to make sure our day went smoothly and was so much more than we could have ever imagined! The next day we had our sneak peek photos to share with our family and in only a few weeks we had our full wedding album! The slideshow she made us was so touching and we still can't get through it without getting emotional. It was sooo beautiful and reflected my husband and me so well!!! We absolutely LOVED working with Nina and she will forever be an important person in our lives. We cannot thank you her enough for all that she did for us! I genuinely think that it is because of her and Phil that we had such a beautiful ceremony and Nina's artistic talent and passion for photography ensured we have beautiful photos to cherish for the rest of our lives.
How can we begin to describe how fantastic Nina was at shooting our elopement? This past month all we've talked about is our perfect wedding and how happy we were that day. Nina's...
photos captured that feeling so wonderfully. All of these photos are really beautiful and we will cherish them for a lifetime. Nina was SO easy to work with, and we felt so at ease with her. I just stared at the pictures all day at work instead of getting anything done. Nina answered my questions (of which there were about 10,000) and was so patient and helpful during the entire process. She'll be shooting our big wedding for friends and family in October and we can't wait to work with her again!!

gestions for locations and most importantly, got some wonderful shots of us and the gorgeous location we were in. Thank you so much Nina for your hard work.
Nina has this amazing ability to capture moments of love, laughter, and everywhere in between, perfectly. When you look back at the photos she took, you feel like you have stepped ...
back in time, to that moment where you kissed your partner for the first time after you said your vows. Over and over again my husband and I look at our photos and are transported back to our wedding day, one of the happiest days of our lives, and I am so thrilled that Nina was there to capture all the little (and big!) moments.
We found Nina on facebook just by happenstance. We weren't looking for photographers at the time, but she had posted a call for adventurous couples. Lucky for us, we were one of those couples!
We set up our engagement session in Leadville so that we could do some night time starry shots. As photographers ourselves, we had a lot of patience for setting up nighttime shots, so it was a perfect match up! We got along with Nina right away and felt like we were just hanging out with an old friend who also happened to be a pretty amazing photographer.
While we were getting ready to leave, Keith turned to me and said "we should just hire her right?" and we mentioned that to Nina, to which she said, "you should wait to see the photos, before commiting.". That really resonated with me, because Nina is the kind of person that wants to make sure that you are comfortable with the commitment, throughout the entire process. Obviously, we hired her immediately after seeing our engagement photos because they were astounding. We STILL get compliments on how "us" they were.
In the days (months really), leading up to the wedding she and I communicated over Instagram a lot and I loved how engaged she was with my behind-the-scenes wedding planning. I'm one of those crafty brides that can basically plan and do decor for an entire wedding myself. I was so happy that she was able to capture all those little details for me so that I can always look back at them and think to myself "yeah, it was worth it."
The day of the wedding, Nina was a dream. She made sure we didn't see each other before the ceremony (we didn't do a first-look) and made sure to capture all the getting ready moments that are so important. I cried the first time I saw myself in my wedding dress all done up, and she was able to capture that moment perfectly. I still look at that photo and remember that feeling.
One of the best parts about hiring Nina was that we were both able to re-live the wedding through the perspective of each other, and our guests. I never did see what they were doing while they were getting ready, and I'm pretty sure I blacked out while walking down the aisle because it was such a blur.
I'm so happy we went with Nina for our engagement and wedding photos. Our photos are the one thing we will have to forever remind us of the day we became husband and wife, and Nina's pure talent captured every moment.
Nina is not only an incredible photographer, but is an absolute joy to work with. My girlfriend and I did a couple's shoot with her, and she made an effort to be sure that we were ...
comfortable and went the extra mile to make sure we had stunning and candid moments captured. After the shoot, she also had our photos edited promptly and back to us, couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience! She would be an excellent choice for any wedding or engagement photos.
Nina was great and our pictures turned out amazing! She was very organized and prepared and we got our pictures back quickly. We found her based on a recommendation from our engage...
ment picture photographers and we were able to book and discuss our wants and needs a state away. I was nervous about how photographers choose their second shooter, but once we got our pictures back, you couldn't tell which one was from Nina's camera and which one was from her second shooter (i.e. good direction from Nina made it all work out!) The only thing I would do different is have more time for portraits with just the bride and groom (=more pictures and different poses of just the two of us) so I would keep that in mind when making time for the photographer on your wedding day. :)
Nina is amazing. She helped us plan and execute the perfect engagement shoot. (Were the crazy ones backcountry skiing and rock climbing in fancy clothes). I cannot say enough good ...
things about her. She was just as excited as we were for the adventure and we incorporated a brunch break in our day to make it fun to be out shooting all day. Worth every penny. I am so excited and cannot wait for her to shoot our wedding day as well. The photos turned out beautifully and captured us well, and were very prompt. I love that we get a sneak peek photo very quickly because we all know the hardest part is waiting! We’ve had a lot of good conversations about how we want the day of to go and she had great suggestions. Loooooove Nina and Larsen Photo Co. we picked the top package and at first we weren’t sure we wanted to do an engagement shoot but it was very worth it both because the photos were amazing and because we got to know Nina very well.

e day had come, we were met with 25 degree weather and 30mph winds. Nevertheless, Nina braved the elements with us, stood in feet of snow, just to get the perfect pictures for us. Due to the weather, I was a bit concerned that the pictures may not have turned out all that good. When we got our pictures back from Nina, we were in complete awe at how PERFECT they had turned out, despite the conditions. I would strongly recommend Nina. She is quick to respond, willing to help with anything, provides helpful tips, and makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera. I can't wait to work with her again in August for my wedding!
I met Nina through an all-women’s hiking group about a year ago. When my boyfriend and I got engaged I had no doubt that Nina would be the perfect person to capture our big day. My...
fiancé and I have a very playful relationship, we are truly each other’s best friends, but we are not at all people who exhibit PDA, we do not longingly stare into each other’s eyes, none of the stuff engagement photos are made of. Because of this, the thought of taking engagement photos was almost out of the question. We had zero desire to take all those sappy romantic photos that were just so not us. After some pushing from friends and family and talking with Nina we decided to give it a try, but only if hiking was involved. We both love to hike and Nina was more than willing to do a freezing winter hike with us!
Nina found the perfect hike for us and we had a blast spending the day together doing what we love, hiking! Once I got our engagement photos back, I was absolutely blown away. She managed to perfectly capture our personalities and playful nature while also giving us breathtaking photos. I have had so many people reach out to me and say that they want to frame our photos for themselves, or that they look so epic they think we were in front of a green screen. I could not recommend Nina enough. She made us feel so comfortable, she tailored out entire engagement shoot just to us and she perfectly captured who we are as a couple. I am so thankful she will be photographing our wedding in September and cannot wait to see our wedding thorough her lens!
