Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, and the last thing you want to stress about is feeling awkward in your photos. We’ve all seen wedding photos on Instagram where a couple is staring longingly into each other’s eyes while standing forehead to forehead on a mountain top … but if you’d rather focus on having a great time than following some photographer’s posing manual, we should talk.
Having a stress-free experience and getting epic photos begins with finding a photographer you love, and that comes down to more than just seeing a few photos. When you find someone who gets you as a couple, you’ll have so much more fun together – and love the photos all the more for it.

We ended up doing a micro wedding at a nearby campground followed by a hike. Nina photographed all of this and getting ready and a first look. She made a detailed itinerary and sent us google map locations. She recommended fantastic vendors and restaurants nearby. She made everything so easy for us particularly as we were planning from hundreds of miles away in Phoenix and aren’t very familiar with the area. from planning a huge “traditional” wedding to scaling back and changing the entire trajectory by opting for a microwedding with our closest friends and family, just by seeing and reading her website. From the moment we landed on the site, it felt as though she was speaking to us; we were immediately inspired and knew we wanted Nina to be the one to capture our most special day.
We quickly got in touch with Nina, and shortly after had a Zoom call scheduled to meet her and share our vision. We were blown away with her wealth of knowledge, ideas, expertise, attention to detail, and desire to genuinely get to know us, all just from that first call, and we couldn’t put down our deposit fast enough!
Living in Kansas, we had to plan everything for our Colorado elopement off-site and there couldn’t have been a more perfect person to help us do and handle just that, than Nina. In the beginning, we were kind of all over the place and didn’t have a clear idea on what exactly we wanted, but Nina effortlessly took the reigns and we trusted and followed her lead without question - which was the best decision we could have made! She continued to amaze us month by month; pulling permits, organizing and creating detailed timelines for the big day’s events, keeping us updated throughout, and continuing to be our sense of reassurance and relief which is priceless when planning a wedding out of state.
We were able to put all of our trust in Nina and can genuinely say that in doing so, we had the most beautiful, special, and beyond perfect wedding. She made the entire process unbelievably stress free from start to finish, and we couldn’t thank her enough. Nina single-handedly curated the most important day of our lives, and we’ve been flooded with constant compliments of how perfect everything was.
We weren’t sure how well we’d do when being photographed because my wife and I had always previously experienced having our photos taken as “awkward”, but with Nina it couldn’t have been any further from the case. She did such an incredible job in making us comfortable and encouraging us to soak in the feeling that we were finally here, on our wedding day, that we got lost in the entrancement of one another and the genuine authenticity of it all shines through and shows so deeply in the photos.
We could just go on and on about how insanely lucky we are to have found Nina. There is no one on this earth we would have rather had capture our special day, and we are so deeply fortunate to have both memories and photographs to remind us of how truly amazing everything was for the rest of our lives. Nina has a true passion for her work, and it shows in absolutely everything she does. We’re forever grateful and incredibly fortunate to have been given the opportunity to work with Nina, and we couldn’t recommend her more. We love you Nina!!!

It was important to me to have both an elopement and micro wedding feel. Nina helped make this happen and picked the most beautiful location to have our mountain photos taken. ith us multiple times along the way, provided us with helpful guides, recommended vendors, came up with a timeline, and made payments easy. She delivered sneak peeks in record time, created little videos out of our gallery images, and used a gallery interface that is simple and easy to use.
Not only did Nina capture breathtaking engagement photos, but we are in love with our wedding photos! She found the perfect first look location and kept her spirits up when it was raining (the sun came out just for us!). Throughout the day, she made sure that we had time to ourselves to soak it all in, capturing stunning images along the way. Looking through our wedding album is truly like reliving the day.

er she could, including at 9pm the night before our wedding because our ceremony venue got destroyed! It looked like a tractor had driven right through the field we were originally going to use and we had to come up with a solution FAST. Nina was so supportive and suggested we use our portrait venue for our wedding and everything worked out so well.
Nina was very professional and timely with our pictures. She made sure to ask us what we wanted and we loved getting to know her and her style prior to booking.

We had some challenging circumstances to overcome with the weather (it was a crazy late snow year and the mountains were super soggy) - Nina went up to the mountains a day early to scout new sites for us that matched the feel we were looking for! wanted to make sure we found someone we knew would not only take gorgeous pictures but create a work of art for us to cherish forever. We are from Kansas City and Nina is super knowledgeable of so many breathtaking locations throughout the state, both well know and hidden gems. She helped select the perfect spot for our wedding day and even with the heavy snowfall this year becoming an obstacle, days before the wedding Nina helped us find a new location that would ensure we did not feel as if we were settling. She even talked with our officiant Phil Gallagher for us to coordinate with him since we were traveling! We ended up holding our ceremony at Sapphire Point and at no point did we ever feel stressed about the relocation and we owe this all to Nina! Our photo shoot before our wedding was so much fun too!! Even though it was our first time meeting in person, being with Nina immediately felt like spending time with a true friend. She ensured we were relaxed and that all the emotion in our photos was organic and natural. During our wedding Nina captured the unique beauty of our ceremony and made it feel sincerely unique to us and our story, and not just another wedding. We had all sort of chipmunks around us for our ceremony and she even took the opportunity to incorporate them into some of our photos which turned out adorably! During the ceremony Nina worked with our officiant so well and you could tell that the two worked together like a true team to make sure our day went smoothly and was so much more than we could have ever imagined! The next day we had our sneak peek photos to share with our family and in only a few weeks we had our full wedding album! The slideshow she made us was so touching and we still can't get through it without getting emotional. It was sooo beautiful and reflected my husband and me so well!!! We absolutely LOVED working with Nina and she will forever be an important person in our lives. We cannot thank you her enough for all that she did for us! I genuinely think that it is because of her and Phil that we had such a beautiful ceremony and Nina's artistic talent and passion for photography ensured we have beautiful photos to cherish for the rest of our lives.

I just stared at the pictures all day at work instead of getting anything done. Nina answered my questions (of which there were about 10,000) and was so patient and helpful during the entire process. back in time, to that moment where you kissed your partner for the first time after you said your vows. Over and over again my husband and I look at our photos and are transported back to our wedding day, one of the happiest days of our lives, and I am so thrilled that Nina was there to capture all the little (and big!) moments.
We found Nina on facebook just by happenstance. We weren't looking for photographers at the time, but she had posted a call for adventurous couples. Lucky for us, we were one of those couples!
We set up our engagement session in Leadville so that we could do some night time starry shots. As photographers ourselves, we had a lot of patience for setting up nighttime shots, so it was a perfect match up! We got along with Nina right away and felt like we were just hanging out with an old friend who also happened to be a pretty amazing photographer.
While we were getting ready to leave, Keith turned to me and said "we should just hire her right?" and we mentioned that to Nina, to which she said, "you should wait to see the photos, before commiting.". That really resonated with me, because Nina is the kind of person that wants to make sure that you are comfortable with the commitment, throughout the entire process. Obviously, we hired her immediately after seeing our engagement photos because they were astounding. We STILL get compliments on how "us" they were.
In the days (months really), leading up to the wedding she and I communicated over Instagram a lot and I loved how engaged she was with my behind-the-scenes wedding planning. I'm one of those crafty brides that can basically plan and do decor for an entire wedding myself. I was so happy that she was able to capture all those little details for me so that I can always look back at them and think to myself "yeah, it was worth it."
The day of the wedding, Nina was a dream. She made sure we didn't see each other before the ceremony (we didn't do a first-look) and made sure to capture all the getting ready moments that are so important. I cried the first time I saw myself in my wedding dress all done up, and she was able to capture that moment perfectly. I still look at that photo and remember that feeling.
One of the best parts about hiring Nina was that we were both able to re-live the wedding through the perspective of each other, and our guests. I never did see what they were doing while they were getting ready, and I'm pretty sure I blacked out while walking down the aisle because it was such a blur.
I'm so happy we went with Nina for our engagement and wedding photos. Our photos are the one thing we will have to forever remind us of the day we became husband and wife, and Nina's pure talent captured every moment.

I was nervous about how photographers choose their second shooter, but once we got our pictures back, you couldn't tell which one was from Nina's camera and which one was from her second shooter (i.e. good direction from Nina made it all work out!) The only thing I would do different is have more time for portraits with just the bride and groom (=more pictures and different poses of just the two of us) so I would keep that in mind when making time for the photographer on your wedding day. :)

e day had come, we were met with 25 degree weather and 30mph winds. Nevertheless, Nina braved the elements with us, stood in feet of snow, just to get the perfect pictures for us. Due to the weather, I was a bit concerned that the pictures may not have turned out all that good. When we got our pictures back from Nina, we were in complete awe at how PERFECT they had turned out, despite the conditions. I would strongly recommend Nina. She is quick to respond, willing to help with anything, provides helpful tips, and makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera. I can't wait to work with her again in August for my wedding!

fiancé and I have a very playful relationship, we are truly each other’s best friends, but we are not at all people who exhibit PDA, we do not longingly stare into each other’s eyes, none of the stuff engagement photos are made of. Because of this, the thought of taking engagement photos was almost out of the question. We had zero desire to take all those sappy romantic photos that were just so not us. After some pushing from friends and family and talking with Nina we decided to give it a try, but only if hiking was involved. We both love to hike and Nina was more than willing to do a freezing winter hike with us!
Nina found the perfect hike for us and we had a blast spending the day together doing what we love, hiking! Once I got our engagement photos back, I was absolutely blown away. She managed to perfectly capture our personalities and playful nature while also giving us breathtaking photos. I have had so many people reach out to me and say that they want to frame our photos for themselves, or that they look so epic they think we were in front of a green screen. I could not recommend Nina enough. She made us feel so comfortable, she tailored out entire engagement shoot just to us and she perfectly captured who we are as a couple.
