Holds ceremonies and receptions
We had a ~50 person wedding. The food was the best, bar was amazing and everything was so easy to plan. Kat is a saint and was so helpful. If you are looking for a beautiful spot for a micro wedding this is it. We also hosted the rehearsal dinner and brunch the following day there. Everyone loved it and it exceeded our already high expectations. If you are on the fence I can tell you it is way worth it.

Our coordinator (Kat) was absolutely fantastic the day of our wedding! We came from a distance so 95% of our planning and communication was through email and we had a lot of small details incorporated into our wedding that Kat and the Larsmont staff graciously accommodated. The packages were very reasonably priced for today’s wedding world venues and the food was PHENOMENAL! Our guests are still raving and comparing our meal selections to other wedding meals. Another perk was that decorations and little details (e.g. chair covers, plate chargers, table centerpieces) were included in the venue price rather than charged separately like other venues we considered. The outside ceremony site was right on the shoreline and the reception room was beautifully decorated.
The only (minor) issue was lodging. The unit set-ups can be a little confusing to guests who haven’t stayed there before and there was some confusion when guests would call and attempt making reservations without mentioning specifically our block name. Definitely not a deal breaker as all the staff we communicated with was friendly and understanding when rectifying any lodging/reservation problems.

he private time in their beautiful lake room. Many things were very overpriced, like the cheeseboard ($11 per person for one small cutting board with crackers, cheese and a few other snack items) and ceiling decorations (not included even though they had specified that they were). Food was okay. Served a little on the cold side— it was better when we warmed it up later in the microwave for leftovers. It really was a beautiful spot and a lovely time, just overpriced for what we needed.

shore; it was the perfect location.
Our ceremony would be held outside. In January! They were so accomodating, thoughtful and flexible with what we pictured. Since day 1, we felt comfortable with them hosting our day.
Highly recommend to host any occasion.

inator) was very help and answered all our questions leading up to our wedding. She helped keep us on track in the planning process and for our ordering. She was even there the day of our wedding and was a great 'go-to' person for questions.
We didn't really interact with any of the staff until the weekend of our wedding, but they were super friendly and helpful the whole time. If there was anything we needed it was addressed immediately.
We got married towards the beginning of September outside by the lakeshore, and everything was set up for us. We had perfect weather, but even if we didn't there was a backup plan to use the reception room. Dinner was fantastic! We were told the food was amazing by so many of our guests, so compliments to the chef and staff!!! Also, the staff helped to clean up the reception room while we were out socializing with our guests - something they didn't have to do but they wanted to let us enjoy our night. I feel like I can't say enough good things about our experience and time at the Cottages. We will be back for our anniversaries in the future for sure.

DO NOT GET MARRIED HERE. I’ll try to keep this short and sweet. This is a horrendous place to host your wedding. The communication and organization is frustratingly pathetic. The s...
taff, including Krista, are rude and would rather hinder your experience than accommodate. There was no dance floor… no where to have the first dance or father/daughter dance. We improvised a dance party at our cottage. The staff eavesdropped and interrupted our planning to tell us that would not work because quiet time starts at 10pm (giving us three hours to dance the night away). There was no assistance with anything. WE had to carry the speaker from the ceremony to the reception. There was zero help setting up or cleaning up. They messed up the plates for the dinner, gave away rooms in our block, and were overall so rude!! I wish I could give them 0 stars, but the one star would be for the beautiful scenery. This would be fine for a family vacation, but NOT a wedding.
If you’re wanting to get married up north I beg you to consider the Glensheen Mansion, where their event coordinator, Reggie, actually does her job and creates an unforgettable experience for the bride and the groom and their family!!

Hillary, we were continually impressed by their desire for us to have the wedding we wanted. They don't try to drain you of every penny and really focus on you as a couple during the planning.
My husband and I were planning our wedding during COVID-19 and for all of the Larsmont staff to not only be understanding with needed changes/adjustments but to be forward thinking and creative was such a breath of fresh air during a stressful time. Due to the pandemic and restrictions put into place two weeks before our wedding, we were unable to host our event with Larsmont. Even though we were unable to have our ceremony and reception at their location, we were impressed by Hannah, Hillary, Dawn, and Nick's care for us as a couple. We decided to have a small ceremony in my sisters backyard but to still celebrate our honeymoon with Larsmont. They are incredible.
Though we did not have the wedding we planned, we are beyond thankful we chose to work with Larsmont and would recommend them to any couple!

following weekend. Larsmont was the perfect place to host our small wedding at the lake! We fell in love upon touring (even in January), and from there everything just continued to get better. Hannah, Dawn, and Hillary were all amazing at communicating with me throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and were extremely flexible with our options. Throughout the wedding weekend, the staff were all very helpful and accommodating to our guests and wedding party. Dawn and the maintenance staff were on top of everything and took care of whatever we needed. I never had to feel too stressed because I could trust that they would handle whatever might come up. We had the perfect wedding weekend at Larsmont, and I'd do it all over again if I could!

fect size that we wouldn't feel dwarfed and still have really nice settings. We went ahead with our wedding amidst covid and throughout the entirety of the constantly changing reopening phases Hannah (parent company event coordinator) was in regular communication. We appreciated her flexibility so much working with us to make sure we would have the best wedding possible on our original day provided the circumstances! The day of our wedding was so amazing. Dawn (Larsmont event coordinator) was incredibly accommodating to make sure everything was prepared perfectly and a constant presence throughout our weekend to make sure my now-wife and I were stress-free and happy with all the arrangements. Thank you so much to everyone at Larsmont that made our day so special!

before our wedding- we got almost 2 feet of snow, making it impossible to put out chairs by Lake Superior as we had envisioned but Hillary and Dawn and the maintenance team at Larsmont worked with us to come up with an alternative plan that we loved even more! We especially loved keeping our guest list small and the cozy nature of the venue. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the wedding, reception, and the lodging were. Highly recommend!

The preparation, details and service were on par with any sized wedding; they don't skimp on their attention to their client and their flexibility to make things perfect. The menu items are the same as the menu in the restaurant so if you've eaten there before, you know that you will have a quality meal. They offer many add-ons to complete your reception setting and give you the space to decorate in your own special way. I would use this team and reserve this space for any special banquet occasion. They are such a pleasure to work with! We want to do it all over again!! Thank you all!

Troy the general manager did introduce himself the day of but things we had discussed on the phone the night before had not been communicated efficiently with the day of staff. The ceremony was amazing and beautiful and everything we could have wanted. Sophie the head server kept in great contact with us through out the time and Andrew the bartender mixed us some amazing drinks! When April arrived it was a good 45 minutes before she acknowledged myself or the groom. We also wish we had been warned that there might be a chance of live folk music during our fire pit time. It wasn't our style of music at all and we ended up just leaving larsmont much earlier than planned. Hopefully when a new event coordinator comes on board things will go back to being perfect.

e with amazing food and fun activities like games, books, the pool, etc. The staff were so helpful and accommodating throughout the weekend. April, our wedding event coordinator was AMAZING! She went above and beyond on the wedding day to help our guests feel comfortable by handing out hand-held fans, cold water, and being ready to help our grandparents get to where they needed to go with the golf cart. My husband and I didn't have to worry about a thing - which helped us enjoy the day and our guests! THANK YOU Larsmont. We're excited to celebrate many anniversaries at your resort!

ent of planning the entire day with grace and ease, she went above and beyond on the day of the wedding. When unexpected crises occurred (several!) she kept me calm and resolved every issue (driving into town to replace flowers that the florist forgot to order) without skipping a beat.

ven the fact that I am from out of State, she really bent over backwards to answer all of my questions and accommodate me when I came for a site visit.
The community itself is clean and well groomed, cottages are comfortable, view... well... you can't beat the backdrop of Lake Superior.
The staff, was welcoming and friendly which is very important, and the food was awesome.
This place is perfect for an intimate wedding and it was our very first choice. Ultimately my fiancee and I chose to elope in Italy (we followed our true heart), but before we made that choice, Larsmont was the only choice for us in the North Shore area.
Thank you Hannah and all of the staff. We are sorry we won't be able to enjoy a wedding there, but will definitely be back for a vacation.

She didn't mind that I changed my mind and tore down and reset up the private room for us to have the ceremony and lunch in there due to the weather!!
