stay in our budget, compared to other area venues, but many of the items' quality did not match the price, and everything has to be purchased a la carte - there are no predetermined wedding packages. We also ran into problems with not getting exactly what we thought we were. We had been told that all our guest rooms would be booked in a block but our party was scattered all over the hotel. The ballroom was supposed to be ours beginning at 8am for preparations but we were not able to get in until almost noon, which definitely affected our schedule for the rest of the day. We also experienced several other issues throughout the process of planning and execution, but it would be arduous to list every little thing. We were also rushed through many elements of our cocktail hour and reception, only to then have to stand around and wait for the staff to be ready. Overall, our guests had a great time and Vegas is obviously a great place to be for any event. But we definitely came away from our wedding feeling like it was a success because of all the work we did, not because of the Marriott or their staff.
