, the vendor responded and clearly stated he would "honor" our deposit. After not hearing back from Jeremy I contacted him again to question my deposit. Evidently he had a change of heart probably due to all the cancellations. So, we are out of our deposit money.
This has been a challenging time for all of us! This has been an uphill battle and for a vendor to say they'd HONOR our refund and then not do so is obscene. We had a similar issue with another vendor, but it was resolved and she has a heart and finally decided it was in her best interest to refund the deposit. Aside from this vendor and the one mentioned, ALL of our vendors gladly refunded us with an understanding that we cannot commit to a date.
Due to the given circumstances with the COVID-19 pandemic, it would be foolish to set another date at this time as there is no end in sight in the foreseeable future. I am disgusted that a reputable business owner would be so greedy as to essentially STEAL our money.
It does state in the contract the the deposit is non-refundable. However, given the circumstances and unpredictability of the unprecedented times we live in, it would behoove this derelict business owner to refund the deposit. The lack of professionalism, morals and business ethics are disturbing. If the times were "normal" I would not even go about asking for a refund. I am sickened and heartbroken enough that a wedding we have been planning for over a year has had to be cancelled. DO NOT HIRE! THIEVES!

s, etc. I was also impressed with the detail of their pre-wedding forms needed to complete. We were asked to put together a timeline and corresponding music for the entire event, ceremony through last dance, a list of the entire wedding party and were also asked to rank our favorite genres of music. All of which are great and would have proven useful if they had paid attention to them. Example, I chose processional music for the entrance of the wedding party and as the mothers were being escorted to their seats, someone asked "Oh did you want that music played for them too?" I had no idea who this person was (I assumed it was someone who worked for the venue but later found out she was with the DJ) so I said "Well it's a little late now." The music was then abruptly stopped and the processional music began. Guests had no idea the wedding was even starting prior to that point.
Then, as the wedding party was being intoduced, he asked each member of the party their name and still sent them out in the wrong order despite the fact that we had detailed all of that info prior.
Later, they did not follow the timeline and when we (or members of the wedding party) tried to adjust accordingly, Mr. Dj was rude and told my made of honor "I do not need you to tell me how to do my job." We were also very specific about NO ONE other than the MOH and BM were to be allowerd to speak. Low and behold, mic was given to a drunk friend (that we love dearly BUT....) who proceeded to ramble.
Also, being that we ranked alternative music as our favorite and sited Foo Fighters and Weezer as two of favorites, not a song from either or any alternative music was played... unless you count Rock Lobster?? There were at least 2 instances that there was "dead air" during the evening. At one point a friend even asked "Is it over?"
Another draw back is that you should be prepared for THREE people to show up, for what I'm not sure being that two of them didn't seem to assist with anything and certainly never introduced themselves. Being that the dinner I served was $100 a plate, I thought it was presumptuos of them all to plan on eating without at least notifying me that there would be three of them.
There were a few other instances that were not ideal but in the end everyone danced and had fun, I'm sure the open bar helped. Overall, I think it was just the Groom, Wedding Party and I that were bothered by the above. I honestly felt like my brother-in-law could have done the same job with his lap top.

Dislikes - Their introductions weren't very good(they didn't have the wedding parties names written down, even though I had asked them ahead of time about it and they assured me that their way worked great). So there were big pauses as they asked each person their name etc..And the music at the ceremony was waaay too quiet. I basically walked down the aisle in silence because I couldn't hear the music. My guests on one side said they could kind of hear it, and the guests on the other side couldn't hear it at all.
If I had paid $1,500+ for them (the average rate for most of the djs in tahoe), I would have been dissappointed. But for $900 - they did a great job!

n responding to emails, and their website is super user-friendly. There were two of them at the wedding, so they were in constant communication with each other, me and my matron of honor. I had one guest complaint that the music during cocktail hour was to soft to be heard well, but I was taking photos at the time so have no experience of that myself. Thanks for a job well done!

They did NOT disappoint. They kept in contact with us, gave advice, listened to me vent, and then when the day was finally here - they remembered what I vented about and went the extra mile.
They kept the party going, and when we had the snafu with the cake leaning (ie melting) they were able to change course and help us start the cake cutting early and make a joke about it so it was no big deal.
I would totally book them again for any wedding or party.
