t was entirely unhelpful like “I don’t know, there’s just something weird about it.” She managed to find something that has every element and tiny detail I liked from the thousands of dresses I’ve looked at and 30+ dresses I’ve tried on, so my dress is this composite of all of my favorite things from all those dresses. I truly had that moment when I felt like a bride and a princess, and the whole store made me feel special and beautiful. Another thing I loved about this store was that all the sample dresses actually fit me. There’s nothing worse than wanting to try on a dress but not even being able to get it on since the sample is a bridal size 6. The girls made me comfortable and actually promoted healthy body images by having a variety of sizes. I’ve been losing weight to get healthy, so alterations were a concern, but since they can alter down two full sizes, I feel better. The woman who measured me even told me that I don’t even have two sizes to lose, which felt incredible to hear and helps me feel validated for all my hard work. I can’t wait to shop here with Holly for a veil and other accessories!

I also bought a stunning headpiece there and used their recommended seamstress, Pina at Flavia's tailoring. AND I used their drycleaning services with great success. I tried on a few more to be sure, and I was temporarily torn between 2 similar dresses, but the price and fit of the first one won me over. I went with a strapless fit-and-flare with a corset back, which worked out well for my constant fluctuations in size. The entire process was stress-free and easy. I did all of my fitting appointments at their tailor’s shop instead of in the salon due to my schedule, which was wonderful.

ew stores in CT and found that Lastrina Girls had the best variety (and the most beautiful salon!) by far. The whole experience was wonderful and went so smoothly for me. I found the dress that I loved in white, but I had envisioned myself in a more ivory dress to fit with my fall wedding theme. Krista ordered it specially for me in ivory/gold and made sure everything was perfect. When I found "the dress," my mom and sister weren't completely sold on it (they loved the dress, but had a totally different vision for me). Krista pulled me aside and told me that her family initially had a similar reaction to her own wedding dress, but they ended up loving it on her wedding day. Her kindness that day stuck with me throughout the entire process, and sure enough, everyone absolutely loved the dress on my wedding day! I would highly recommend this beautiful and professional salon to any bride-to-be; I cannot thank Krista enough!

So many guests at our wedding complimented how beautiful the dresses were and what a perfect color they were. When I visited Krista I knew I wanted a "natural" color, but wasn't sure what color to choose - it can be a pick choice and it determines a lot of the details at the wedding. Krista was so knowledgable about what color looked good in pictures and with different tones and her recommendations were on point! I cannot thank Krista and her team enough! She is such a doll to work with and super professional - always answering all my emails and phone calls timely and patiently! Thank you again :)

:1 attention from all the wonderful ladies that work there and they make you feel so special. I went in thinking I knew what I wanted which was and A line. They put me in every style of gown to try and see what I liked and ended up picking a fit and flare. They really knew what they were doing and made me feel so special during the process. When I kept going back to the third dress they dressed me up with a veil and flowers and I ended up purchasing the dress. Going back for alterations and fittings was painless, they were flexible with when I could come and always welcomed me by name and really made you feel special in your pick. I would suggest this place to anyone looking for a more quiet place and has really nice gowns of all styles. Mine was a Stella York. I wish I could do it all again!

Both Krista and her staff pulled 5 or 6 dresses, the first being what I thought was the ONE. It wasn’t until Krista herself pulled something that on the hanger did not look like something I would have chosen. Well, it ended up being the dress! From that day forward I was updated frequently on the status of my dress, and booked easily for my fittings. I did use the in house tailor without any issues – although I did not require many alterations because I was fitted so well! She also offers many sales throughout the year including one for veils in which I was able to try on the sample dress and veil together. Krista’s salon is a hidden gem – both herself and staff are extremely professional and easy to work with. I will miss my visits there as they made me feel like the one and only bride to be!

different experience. First the lady helping me did not seem to listen to my wants or needs. I explained I was being open minded but did not want a poofy dress. I felt like as soon as I mentioned my budget, I was made fun of for it. I went there to begin looking at styles I liked on me but I felt like i was more of an inconvenience. When I tried on dresses, every dress was what I specifically said I didn't want. The last dress I put on was out of budget I was told. I didn't think it suited me but the lady was pushing me to say I liked it. She was trying to bribe me into buying it because she loved the train. Long story short - I said I liked it just to get out of it and walk out. That was the first and only time I will enter that salon. I do not recommend going there unless you want to feel unappreciated, ignored, and embarrassed for your budget.

My wife and I had some unique requests (a major one being that we needed two dresses that looked great together without one another being able to see them!!) and Krista and her staff rose to meet those requests with ease. We both purchased our dresses through Krista as well as our 10 bridesmaids dresses, our shoes, jewelry and accessories. Krista and her staff's professionalism and expertise turned us into the most perfect brides we could have ever expected. Our guests could not stop raving about how perfectly our dresses fit our personalities and how great they looked together! We're sad our wedding is over because it means we don't have reason to go spend time with Krista at Lastrina Girls anymore!!

we talked over what type of dresses I was thinking about and what the wedding day was going to be like. She brought out dresses like the ones that I had found on websites and in magazines. After I had finished trying them all on she recommended that I try on one last dress that I wasn't anything like I had envisioned. I tried it on and feel in love. It complimented my body type and I felt completely comfortable in it. Krista also helped me find bridal party dresses that would work together and compliment an 11 year old and two 30 year olds. I got so many compliments on the dresses at the wedding. My only complaint was the tailor that she works with, Tina. Make sure that your dress fits how you want it to fit and that you confirm with her prior to picking up the dress. I had an issue with the alterations on all three bridesmaid dresses. That is the reason why I cannot give Lastrina Girls five stars.

She pulled a mix of all different ones that were so beautiful! I never ever thought I would feel so beautiful in a dress. The first one I tried on that Krista picked was mine. I knew it, and didn’t want to take it off! I tried on all the other pulled dresses and even tried on a couple my Mom and Sister pulled. I put the dress of my dreams back on and begin posing for pictures with my family. It was such a fun and relaxing time. Krista really makes you and your family feel so important. We had the entire salon to ourselves. She told us where to take good pictures, and jacked me up with a veil to really get the “OMG its real” feeling! Since my sister was there, we even had time to try on bridesmaid dress and see how a couple looked up against my dress to get the full effect. Krista really has an eye for this stuff; my mom was so impressed with everything she started to tear up a bit. It was such an amazing experience I look forward to every appointment I have with them! Truly a magical day for me and my family, it’s everything you want when dress shopping for your wedding dress!

his dress shop online, and it looked so nice. We called and made an appointment to try on dresses. We were greeted very nicely when we walked in, we were very excited and hopeful to find the perfect bridesmaids dresses, and a dress for me, the Mother of the Bride. The sales associate was very attentive to the bridesmaids, but not so much to me. I figured, oh, she must be focusing on the girls first, then she'll get to me. However, that did not happen. I was left to fend for myself. I remember being in the fitting room, struggling to zip up a dress, finally getting it done, then coming out of the fitting room to show everyone, and where was the sales associate?? No where to be found. I needed dress suggestions, I needed help. I went back into the fitting room and started to cry. This was supposed to be a special moment for my daughter and I, and I was being made feel like I was unimportant. I just put back on my clothes, waited for the bridesmaids to finish up with their measurements and deposits and we left. I struggled to hold back the tears all the way home. If that wasn't bad enough....second major issue. My daughter had two Jr. Bridesmaids that needed dresses. We were told by the sales associate that trey only had two dresses that came in Jr. Bridesmaid sizes. We weren't thrilled with that, but wanted the Jr. Bridesmaids to be in the same color as the bridesmaids so our options were limited. We chose the recommended dress and was assured that it came in Jr. Bridesmaids sizes. Our Jr. Bridesmaids are both age 12, which as far as I know this is completely within the normal Jr. Bridesmaid age...heck, 12 is too old to be a flower girl. The girls took called in their measurements and the dresses were ordered. Fast forward 10 weeks, the dresses finally come in and low and behold, the supposed Jr. Bridesmaids dresses are adult sizes 2 and 4. With boobs. These dresses are supposed to fit 12 year old, skinny, not developed girls. (Healthy girls that are exactly the size and weight they should be for their age!). Instead of looking at their size chart and realizing that the measurements given by the girls were way too small for the smallest dress size that the dress came in, they just went ahead and placed the order without letting us know the major measurement discrepancy. One of the Jr. Bridesmaids moms even called before the order was placed and asked repeatedly that this dress was in fact going to fit a non developed, thin, 12 year old girl. They assured her that it would. Both the dresses are huge!!! 4 sizes too big!!! I can fit in the size 4 dress that was ordered for one of the Jr. Bridesmaids and I'm 43 years old!!!! Lastrina Girls has refused to alter the dresses for free. They want to charge us $110 to do the alterations on top of the $222.00 we already paid for the dresses. They have been completely unapologetic and have not compensated us in any way. They have refused to acknowledge that this was their mistake. I highly recommend Mariella's Creations in Rocky Hill. That's where I got my dress. Paid over $800.00 for it. They were fabulous and their dress selection far superior. Don't waste your time at Lastrina Girls. Save yourself the nightmare and the headache.

e my mother absolutely no time! Wouldn't even pull dresses for her, I had to do the work and help her into the dresses myself!! Then I found a bridesmaid dress I liked but needed a dress for my junior bridesmaids as well. They informed me that the dress I picked could not come in junior sizes so they showed me the only 2 dresses in the store that could come in a junior dress. I hated both picks but reluctantly settled on one that matched with my brother girls.... Fast forward 10 weeks, my junior bridesmaid dresses came in, and they were each 4-6 sizes too big!!!! My mother, a 43 year old woman who has had 3 children could fit in one of the dresses! And they said that was the smallest junior size they had!!! The dress even had boobs!!!! Even the bridesmaid dresses which they measured in their own store weren't even close to fitting the girls. I called the store to see if they could help this monstrosity of a mess, and they just keep saying it's my fault that my girls were too thin for their companies sizing!!! They said my junior bridesmaids were actually flower girl sizes...and refused to accept that they don't have junior dresses. Instead of apologizing for misleading me and helping to compensate my girls for this disaster they kept insisting that the dresses they ordered for my junior bridesmaid were in fact junior sizes and fit most girls so they didn't understand why the dress didn't fit... They are the most insufferable and ignorant people I have ever had to work with. Please save yourself the headache and the embarrassment on your wedding day and go somewhere else!!! Marcella creations in rocky hill and the bridal shoppe in Warwick would be much better option for you. I wish I had found them before my girls bought their dresses. Lastrina Girls has ruined my wedding

e drove over 4 hours for our appointment here and Krista definitely made it worth our while. The experience I had here was so much better than any of the other salons I went to. Krista took the time to get to know me and get a feel for what style of wedding I wanted and then picked out the perfect dresses to match. Never once did I feel rushed or pressured-she is so patient and incredibly helpful! The staff here are so warm-hearted and they will make you feel like family. Although it took me a little while to wrap my head around how much I loved the dress, since it was quite different than what I had expected I'd choose, I had a feeling from the moment I put it on that it was going to be My Dress! I tried on a few others, but it was evident that the first dress was a clear winner. She also suggested a different length veil than I had thought, and again, she was right on. Krista's expertise and professionalism were beyond my expectations. There was no pressure whatsoever, even though I'm a little behind schedule in ordering! I was sure I'd have to go to Boston or New York to find a dress, and even had tentative plans to do so- but Lastrina Girls provided everything I needed and wanted, and so close to home! She really has an eye for wedding gowns, and she looks at your body type and asks questions to find the perfect dress for you! I tried on three dresses, and the third one really was the charm! They carry La Sposa and Allure gowns. The gown I wound up with was an Allure Romance gown, and it was so unique and pretty. I didn't think I would like it on me, but as soon as I put it on, I knew it was the one! Krista works with you on payment plans for the dresses, and she is so flexible with times to come back and try on or do a fitting with your dress. She accommodated my after hours time due to my long work commute with ease. If you want a gorgeous dress that is affordable as well as fashionable, go to Lastrina Girls!! Krista's shop is awesome, and she is too!
