Lattitude ‘81 Weddings First and foremost, I am a Christian who believes wholeheartedly in the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman. I have been happily married to my bride for 40 years. We have 2 sons, Mike and Tim, our wonderful daughter-in-laws, and two beautiful grandchildren. We all live in Charleston, SC. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior and I live and practice my faith everyday. I will work closely with each couple to make their ceremony a day to remember. I like to meet with the couple for about an hour usually a few of days before the wedding so we can get to know each other and do a little wedding counseling. I will work closely with the couple to discuss their personal preferences for the ceremony. I am also a winner of the Wedding Wire 2017,2020 and 2021 Couples Choice Award Recipient.

Michael was so awesome! He responded super quick every time we contacted him. He allowed us to personalize our ceremony as much as we wanted. He was punctual at the ceremony, and so kind. We came from out of town, and were unable to meet him in person before the ceremony, but we were able to FaceTime him to meet the day before! It was an absolute joy to meet him and work with him!

From the first moment we spoke with Michael Peter, we knew he was the right man to be our wedding officiant. His personal care and concern for us and our ceremony was A+ wonderful. I won’t elaborate on our 30-hour planes, trains, and automobiles experience getting to Charleston (from CA), except to say that we felt loved because Michael was checking on our progress all the way…making sure we were safe. He honestly cared and was willing to change his schedule if necessary. Being a wedding officiant is not just a job for Michael, it’s a love that he puts his heart and soul into. We were absolutely amazed that EVEN AFTER the wedding he cared about us and helped us work through a couple of glitches. To sum it up, Michael did a beautiful wedding ceremony for us even in the pouring rain (under the White Point Gardens gazebo). What a blessed event! We highly recommend Michael to anyone.

Where do we even begin with Michael? From the moment we met him, we knew he was the perfect fit for our ceremony. Our planning team recommended him when we expressed our desire for a Christian aspect to our wedding, and he delivered beyond measure with an incredibly heartfelt ceremony. To put it simply, he exceeded every expectation we had for an officiant and became so much more than just a part of our wedding day – he became a cherished member of our journey as a couple. What sets Michael apart is his genuine interest in getting to know each couple on a personal level. He took the time to meet with us, eager to hear our love story and understand what makes our bond unique. Michael is FAMILY!!! My husband and I enjoyed working with Michael SO much! He was so generous with his ideas and his beautiful dedication to us at our wedding. He helped us put together a ceremony that was meaningful to us and our family and we are so grateful to have had him as our officiant. If you are looking for a wedding officiant - look no further. Michael is your guy! Since we aren't Charleston locals, I was worried that we wouldn't be able to find an officiant that we'd both be comfortable with. However, from our very first phone call with Michael, we felt like we were talking to an old friend. It was apparent that he cared about us and he really took the time to get to know us before our big day. He even did his own premarital counseling session with us while we were on a trip to Charleston earlier this year. We both felt so incredibly at ease with him the day of our wedding, and he was such a comforting, calming presence to be around during such a meaningful moment in our lives. We received many compliments from our guests on Michael, and felt so blessed that he was recommended to us by our wedding planner! Thank you for making our ceremony so beauitful, Michael!! Michael was absolutely wonderful as our officiant! He was able to help us out in a pinch, as the person I had lined up cancelled on us a few weeks before the wedding. His communication was prompt, every time. He kept all scheduled appointments, and arrived early for everything. From our first conversation he was warm, welcoming, and encouraging. He came to the rehearsal for no extra charge, and even loaned out a mic and amp for my son who was singing for the processional. I HIGHLY recommend Michael as an officiant!

Michael was the best officiant we could have asked for! He made us and our families feel so comfortable right off the bat. His pre-marital counseling session was fun and insightful, and he carried that same energy during our ceremony. Michael met with us 2 days before our wedding for premarital counseling. This is a 2nd wedding for my husband and I. Michael was so kind and genuine in his advice. He loves his wife and that is so apparent in his conversation with us about marriage. His love for Christ is also so apparent when he’s counseling you. He stayed in constant contact with me on our day reminding me to relax and enjoy the day. He arrived early and met our family so everything was so personable during our ceremony. His words were so kind. Michael is the most professional and genuine officiant and man you could select to perform you wedding!

5 stars doesn’t begin to show how great Micheal is! He was so personable and really got to know us and made our wedding so special. The premarital counseling was wisdom filled and very helpful to make our marriage successful. Wedding planning and getting married is nerve wracking. But he made the whole process easy and fun. We were honored to have our new friend marry us!

Michael was the absolute most wonderful officiant we could have ever imagined for our wedding day. Michael came highly recommended from our wedding planner and from my first conversation with him I knew he was genuine, thoughtful and would be just the right fit for our ceremony. From our initial couples meeting with him we felt at ease. Michael is so insightful and kind we knew we had really met a new friend. On our wedding day we were dodging rain showers and Michael even casually sped up our ceremony so we didn't all get soaked. All of our family and friends have told us how special the ceremony was and how much they loved Michael as much as we did. We were truly honored to have Michael as our officiant.

Michael is amazing! When we first met Michael, my husband and I felt like we were talking to a friend. At our rehearsal, my family felt the same way. On the day of our wedding, Michael gave us a very heartfelt and personal ceremony. It was so beautiful and special! I highly recommend anyone to use Michael for their wedding!

It was an absolute joy and honor having Michael officiate our wedding ceremony. I had put in several inquiries to officiants in the Charleston area, and it was apparent from the very first email exchange that Michael is exceptionally passionate about being a part of couples' marriage journeys. Mr. P is amazing! We were blessed to have him marry us. We wanted a wedding ceremony focused on our blending of families and the importance of God’s love in our marriage. Michael is a wonderful person! He is so personable, peofessional, keeps things fun and light, his faith is strong, but he also keeps it real to what life and relationship are today. We are so honored he stood by our side and that he is the one, that could signify our relationship in front of so many we love. I thought it’d be tough finding someone my now husband liked, but Michael was our first and last introduction as when he left, I looked at Brandon and said yup he’s great and he agreed. I believe a person who represents themselves in a beautiful manner is true to who they are and the people they meet and that’s Michael. Our ceremony was one of our favorite parts to our wedding and our families agree. We truly adore Michael and what he brings to each and every person he meets.

Michael was such an integral part of the best day of our lives. We met Michael about a month before our nuptials and he instantly put us both at ease with his generosity, graciousness, humor, and relatabilty. He is a lovely man that has the utmost respect for the sanctity of marriage. His love and respect of his own wife (of over 35 years) makes him an incredible advisor and advocate. My husband and I absolutely loved working with Michael! We had a very small destination wedding on Folly Beach. Michael was super responsive the entire time planning and was so accommodating with our schedule and our budget. We had such a peace about him the first time we met (the day before the wedding!). He understood the "vision" we had for our ceremony and everything went so smoothly. Our day was so fun and stress-free. He felt like family to us. Michael Peter is such a great soul and positive man to have around! We loved having him be the minister of our wedding. He was so kind and spent time with us, actually getting to know who we are as people. We were able to make our ceremony unique and special by having our own music and saying our own vows. Michael had a beautiful, relevant speech as well. I am so glad that we chose him. Having someone who loves love and really cherishes his own marriage is really important. You really need someone who believes in weddings and marriage to be your minister! My new husband and I truly love him! He's great! Choose him, if he's available :) Also on a side note, I got married after a huge rain storm and really wanted to keep it outside. He helped my family dry off the chairs! It just shows the person that he is. Caring, loving, and helpful!

I remember sitting down with (my soon to be husband) and meeting Michael for the first time. I knew even before meeting him in person that he was supposed to be there with us on our wedding day. I felt so comfortable with him and relieved to find someone that not only genuinely cared about us as a couple but made us each feel so special. His character, personality, humor, and loyalty stood out above all. His spiritually and overall kindness was pretty amazing. He was there on our special day from beginning to end and supported us along the way. He is wonderful at what he does because it's natural for him! Best officiant we could have ever asked for! He made us feel comfortable and made sure to connect with us personally before the wedding. He gave us the most heartfelt ceremony and his words had us both on the verge of tears. He made our special day even more special! Meeting Michael was a true blessing and we could not imagine our big day without him! We were referred to him through a family friend, and could not be more pleased with our experience. We were getting married out of town and wanted someone who would fit well with our vision of our ceremony yet someone who we felt very comfortable with. After leaving our first meeting with Michael, we both agreed he was someone we could sit and talk to for hours. He instantly made us feel at ease. On our wedding day, the ceremony was absolutely beautiful and I had numerous guests personally tell me what a fabulous job he did. He was absolutely perfect for us!

Michael Peters is an excellent choice! We met with him while in town looking at venues, and he quickly put my mother and I at ease, and again when my now husband and I met with him prior to the wedding. He is very professional, easy going, and helped us when we flew in and found out that the courthouse was going to be closed on the day we needed to pick up our marriage license. The ceremony was perfect, and he read a passage in Spanish, which my parents did not know we had planned for them, laughed with us when I accidentally cut in and began to recite my husband’s part, and overall was a pleasure to have as a part of our wedding. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have an officiant, especially if you are from out of town and not affiliated with a local church and need someone to make you feel welcomed to the area. Living in New York, Charleston was a destination wedding for us. That said, we knew we had to find someone local to officiate our wedding. One of the things that first drew us to Michael was that he, himself has been married for over 30 years to his "smokin' hot wife" and that he's a Christian. We knew we had to meet him. After talking on the phone, Enrique and I finally met Michael in person during the summer before our wedding. We instantly were excited that he would be our officiant. He has been so encouraging every step of the way. On the day we met, we sat and talked with him for over an hour as he counseled us on numerous wedding topics. On the weekend of the wedding, Michael came to our rehearsal, even though he had a wedding later that day. Enrique and I, and all of our guests, appreciated his beautiful words during the ceremony. We can't wait to get back to Charleston and pay him a visit!

Great experience!! Michael really helped us navigate through the entire wedding day and process but also flexed to incorporate items we wished to have in our ceremony. He was a very warm and inviting personality, we felt like we'd known him for a long time. It was apparent he loves to officiate weddings. Can't say enough great things!!

Words cannot express the incredible job that Michael Peter did for our wedding. After our ceremony was over, my husband Michael and I turned and looked at each other speechless at what we witnessed up on the alter. He not only delivered the ceremony exactly how we pictured it, he exceeded our expectations by how personal and genuine it was. Out of all of the things we asked for him to highlight during his speech, one thing we both really wanted was the message of the gospel proclaimed and demonstrated through marriage. Although it rained during our ceremony, God's grace, light, and love was shown and felt through him. Weeks before the wedding we met with Michael Peter to discuss preparation for our marriage and hear his wisdom and advice upon what to expect. He uses both personal examples from his marriage and scripture to illustrate the beautiful path of marriage. Not only was this session extremely helpful, but we came to understand that he truly cares for us in all aspects. If any of you have the privilege of using Michael Peter for your wedding, you will not only gain an amazing officiant, but a genuine friend for life.

It felt like family was performing the ceremony. Michael made our sunrise wedding on the beach special. I couldn't have dreamed a better person to perform the ceremony. He was totally connected to our thoughts and wishes as well as being completely professional but very personable. He not only cared about the wedding but us as individuals and more importantly as a couple. He spent an hour with us the evening before getting to know us and offering advice to insure that our marraige would stand the test of time.

We couldn't have asked for a better ceremony and officiant for our wedding. Michael was a blessing to have wed us. It is always difficult doing a destination wedding and not being able to meet the vendors before choosing them. Our meeting before the rehearsal was one of the best parts of our wedding experience. Michael really took the time to get to know both of us and took a vested interest not only in the wedding but our future. We were so lucky to have Michael who is now a friend to us. Michael Peter's wedding officiant service was great! I am old school when it comes to value of products and services! Especially when we live in a world today of so many uncertainties, positioning us to be cautious about entering into things like contracts and the validity of things we purchase. Michael gets Five Stars from my wife and I...We were very satisfied with the whole package and we got to meet a great guy! My wife wanted a special service done a certain way, and Michael fullfiled that process. I believe if you choose his service for your wedding event you will be very satisfied!
