We met them at their house and I was a little hesitant at first. Nothing they did, I was just a bit worried about hiring individuals and not some photography studio. They assured me they had plenty of experience. I am so glad we went with them. Joelyn was quick to respond to any and all of my emails. When my daughter scheduled her engagement photos, Joelyn and Doug arrived early at the location. They took fantastic engagement pictures of my daughter and fiance. From that point on, we knew we found the right photographer.
On the day of the wedding, we told them what time to be at the church and they arrived a few minutes early (coming from Cypress to Sugar Land). They took great care in getting the correct lighting and poses as my daughter was getting dressed. They never pressure my daughter to pose for anything she didn't want. They took time with the first look pictures and made sure all the family shots were good. If they noticed something wrong, they'd take another photo. At the reception, they took several pictures and honor any guest requests. It was so easy working with them. We actually felt so comfortable with them, we had them eat inside the reception room with all the guests instead of a room reserved for the vendors.

I felt that they are very organized and knew exactly what to do. They got the guys pictures ahead of time so that after we were able to save some time. They were so delightful to work with, and everyone in the family liked them. If there was a certain picture or pose I wanted they made sure to get it. I have so many amazing pictures to choose from it has been difficult to narrow it down! I will definitely be recommending them to friends. flexible. Doug and Joelyn took the time to drive to Huntsville, Texas TWICE to get the perfect engagement photographs that hold many memories to Rudy and I. These shots are ones we will be able to look back on fondly for the rest of our lives: pictures of memories on the college campus that brought us together. They were able to listen to our experiences together and bring those memories to life. It was all so marvelous! During my bridal portraits I was able to get every shot I could have wanted, along with ones I didn’t even think of thanks to Doug’s and Joelyn’s artist views. Doug even offered Rudy every possible angle, and picture, that he could think of when working with the boys. Rudy and I have so many fantastic photographs and memories to look back at from our entire wedding experience. No matter what our question or concern was Doug and Joelyn were there to answer anything we threw their way. They treated us like family, and now we consider them part of ours.

They were open, organized, accommodating, and not only eager to work with us, but also to meet us! My husband and I are extremely satisfied with the overall experience and feel as though we have made a new friendship. The quality and number of captured shots far surpassed our expectations. Seriously, my bridal session was phenomenal, looks like I walked out of a magazine!!!
All in all, they went over and beyond to make our special day last forever. We highly recommend the Laughlin's to capture any photographic memories you desire and hope to use them in the future for other significant memories to come.
