When we needed a change in venue to fit more guests, she was able to find us a place last minute that exceeded our expectations. Everywhere we went, everyone knew Laura Burchfield and everyone would always say "You got the best person on your team." She would get us the best deals and learned our preferences to save us time. She even helped us find a dog handler last minute so that our sweet puppy could be in our wedding! It's not easy to throw an Indian fusion wedding. It's very stressful trying to combine both cultures and keep all parties happy. We wanted to have a modern wedding with aspects of Indian cultures that were important to us. When we would come to Laura with a vision, she would help us execute it and give advice based on her years of experience in the industry to make it as magical as possible.

I am a master procrastinator with a little one who constantly distracts me, but Sydney politely stayed on top of me to make decisions and get my part done. t it would be to plan my Atlanta wedding from Birmingham, where I live. But Laura didn't even make me feel like I was an long-distance client. She ALWAYS made herself available to me. Whether it was late night calls, or texts, or really early morning emails. ough job. From the first day I met with Laura, I could tell she she understood her client’s wedding day vision, and maintained that focus for the duration of planning until their special day. There is an instant connection with Laura and her clients that starts in their initial meeting and lasts through out the event. She has the experience, the savvy, humility, compassion and emotional intelligence to handle one of the most important events in most couples lives.

need to see things from a mother-of-the-bride's perspective. For the most part, my daughter and I did all of the organizing, coordinating, calling, etc. to schedule and book all vendors. Laura showed up at the cake tasting and the menu tasting, but her attendance was completely unnecessary or helpful. I kept saying... well, it's really the "day of" that we're going to get our $6,000+ worth from her. That turned out not to be true. Laura did direct us where to go and stand at the rehearsal. She even made copies of the "day of" timeline and left them on the rehearsal dinner tables. "Oh, what a great idea," I thought. However, I wish I had known that those pieces of paper were actually meant to be our lifeline on the day of, b/c apparently Laura had more important things to do. While the wedding went off beautifully, it genuinely was no thanks to Laura. The entire wedding party stayed on site at the venue. Seems like that would have made things easier. However, we were spread out all over the 3000 acre resort property in 5 or 6 different cabins. You literally had to call for a golf cart if you needed to go anywhere beyond a block or so. This meant the wedding planner's role was even MORE critical that day, b/c it wasn't like most weddings where there's one or two rooms where the wedding party meets prior to the event, leaving little room for error. It was actually the most chaotic pre-wedding I've ever experienced. The female members of the wedding party were pretty set, b/c we were all getting hair and makeup done in the same cabin as the bride. However, I can't tell you how many phone calls were made between the groom, groomsmen, bridesmaids and parents to try to get everyone where they needed to be at the right time. My husband and son (the bride's step-father and brother) called me 4 or 5 times that day to ask me where they were supposed to be and when. I kept saying, "I'm guessing Laura will come get you when it's time." Instead, the bride's family had to coordinate with the photographer and father and stepfather of the bride to get their "first look" pictures (apparently Laura was busy "putting flowers on the cake" - which I think was the baker's or florist's job). When Laura arrived at the bride's cabin after being summoned, the bride heard her father and I getting onto Laura for not doing her job, causing the bride's first and only stress on that day... and THAT was Laura's contribution.

Laura always responded fast to texts and emails, and did tons of little things that made planning a lot less stressful for us. She also has great taste! I didn’t know where to begin with things like picking linen colors, and so I gave her full reign and she did not disappoint! She also made some design decisions that I would not have originally thought of that worked out amazing! Hiring Laura and adding on partial planning was a great decision for us!

From timelines to coordination to therapist there wasn't anything Laura didnt do. She helped me track down my dress when my bridal store shut down, referred awesome vendors, set up appointments, helped me deal with family drama, found us a dance instructor two months before wedding when our original instructors fell through.
