she was perfect. Her style is so unique, raw, and beautiful. No cookie cutter wedding/prom photos; she will capture you and your partner in such a real way. We set up an engagement shoot (highly recommend doing this) and were so happy we did. She makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera (initially awkward staring into your boo's eyes for a few hours), and by the end of the shoot, we were seasoned pros. When we saw Laura on our wedding day, it felt like we were reconnecting with a dear friend. She is just the loveliest! And her photos?!?!? They blew our minds and exceeded any expectations we had. I'm very much not interested in taking tons of photos of me and my guy kissing - that's strange - and she took ones that reflected our humor (and did get enough of us being mushy). She was even able to get an incredible shot of my mom, who always looks really stern in photos. We recently got our photo package and we got exactly what we wanted to invest in - photos of us looking fancy and in love, surrounded by our home town. Wedding photos are an investment - having Laura take them is a no-brainer.

sing the photographers to shoot my own wedding was not a decision I took lightly! I knew I needed a photo team that I trusted wholeheartedly and who would be ready to take on our crazy wedding plans....we had a three-day music festival style, glamping wedding out in the middle of the desert in Moab, Utah with food trucks, silent discos, yoga, national park explorations and so much more for 3 straight days of non-stop partying. Laura and Kayla captured it all SO PERFECTLY ranging from the sweet moments little moments and details all the way through the late night crazyness!! They had smiles on their faces the entire time and really blended in so well with our friends that everyone felt so comfortable around them meaning we got some of the best candid shots! The portrait session that we did right after our ceremony with just the two of us as newlyweds was honestly one of our favorite parts of the whole weekend - the girls scouted a beautiful location off-site for us to sneak off to with perfect lighting and incredible backdrops, we cranked music out of my husband's jeep and just kissed, danced and basked in the newlywed glow. The photos from that session are definitely our most treasured shots of the whole event. We couldn't imagine our wedding weekend without them there to celebrate with us and we are SO SO grateful to have all of these epic photos to remember the most amazing weekend of our lives!!

decided to contact her about our upcoming nuptials. She was quick to respond and we made a mad dash and booked her. We had some logistical issues so we had to turn our Joshua Tree escape into something local and she was so accommodating. She initially asked if we wanted an engagement shoot and we declined, but after reading what a good idea an engagement shoot actually was (a month prior to our wedding, yikes!) I contacted Laura and asked her if it was still possible, even with the short time left before our big day. She was all for it! Since we weren't able to get our Joshua Tree wedding, she wound up finding a fantastic little spot out in Palmdale that had some very Joshua Tree-like areas. We shot for a couple of hours with her and her (just as wonderful) cousin. I have to say that they both made us feel SO comfortable. We were able to be ourselves (and we're pretty damn goofy/awkward) and really relax. I'm so glad that we were able to do the engagement shoot because that was great prep for the big day. By the time October 10th rolled around we were ready to have our mugs photographed. We felt natural and just did our thing while Laura captured all the genuine moments. Instead of typical portraits, she captures the moments. When I look at our wedding photos, I know exactly what was going through my mind at that moment and it totally takes me back to that day. I'm a designer by trade, so I'm quite picky with style. The last thing I want are cheesy wedding photos. Having worked with Laura before on another friend's wedding, I was impressed by how she made everyone being photographed feel at ease, thus capturing the most natural looking expressions. I didn't think twice about hiring Laura for my wedding photographer when the time came. Best decision ever! Only an experienced photographer can be as organized as she is. From all the tips she gives us to the gorgeous shoot locations she's suggested, I couldn't be happier with everything. She is very honest and warm, exactly what you want from a photographer, especially for such an important day in your life. She truly captures the love and happiness of anyone she photographs. There are a lot of fluffy websites out there with Flash & music & celebrities (it's LA), all I think trying to distract you from the exorbitant/cocky amount they charge for subpar photographs. We stumbled upon Laura's website I-don't-even-know-how (link from a blog from another wedding dress vendor from another blog, etc.) and knew she was the one. She is an artist. There is something to be said of someone who can capture the authenticity of your relationship while adding their artistic flavor but not overpowering the point. Laura is a kind, genuine, talented wizard, dare I say. She always had us at ease and treated our engagement session and wedding day with care and generosity, like it was the most important thing to her as well. And if my husband would let me, I would wall paper our home with the photographs she took from our engagement session and wedding day. I can't get enough of them! . I wanted a photographer who could capture the whimsical and romantic spirit of the venue, while encompassing the beautiful surroundings. Laura did exactly this! Not only did my photos come out so amazingly, Laura was such a pleasure to work with. I loved her professionalism and enthusiasm for our vision. uestion and concern that before we even met for our engagement shoot, we both felt like we had known each other for years! Our wedding package came with an engagement shoot session, and my husband and I weren't sure where/what we wanted, so Laura went out of her way to go scout locations on her own time and help us pick out the most AMAZING location. Not many people go out of their way (with no charge) to make sure you get a PERFECT shoot. During the shoot she made us feel so relaxed and comfortable. We got our photos I think within a couple days. And the quality of the work matched her amazing professionalism! The EXACT same goes with the wedding pictures. Every shot she took felt so natural we were both so thrilled to have her at the wedding. She honestly felt like a family friend taking photos. The wedding photos took a month, which is MUCH quicker than what my other friends had to wait for their wedding photos. But she did send us previews along the way and honestly it was REALLY worth the wait!! Every picture made us feel as though we were there in the moment again. The lighting, the colors, I mean my husband and our families were blown away. You honestly can't beat her quality and not to mention Laura was half of what the other photographers were charging! I can't wait to have another event so I can work with Laura!

The first time we met was the day of the actual session, but she is laid-back, sweet, and made us feel comfortable, which is key when searching for a photographer for important life events as most people don't feel super comfortable in front of the camera. Doing the session was truly one of the best things we could do, and having Laura to consult for ideas and discuss details with was very appreciated. I am a little crazy about all the details (brought tons of props and things from our actual wedding) and wanted to make sure she captured certain shots (a few I felt were missed on our wedding) and Laura was more than accommodating. I was going for a particular style and feel for these photos, and she totally achieved that and we are so happy with our photos. After working with so many different vendors when we planned our wedding last year, I can definitely say that Laura is one of the best -- professional, creative, attentive to our requests, easy to work with and she's awesome to be around! I was pretty nervous and anxious about finding another photographer, so I put the hubby on the case, and then miraculously Laura Goldenberger came into our lives!! ;) She is so talented (and easy to get along with). In my opinion, a good photographer should always make you feel comfortable, listen to your vision, but also come with her own ideas, and be able to make you laugh every once in awhile! We just got our photos back from the Wedding (very quickly), and we could not be more happy. Also, with Laura located in LA and the wedding in Santa Barbara, she was more than accommodating to make everything work. Last, everything was done so for an incredibly reasonable price. Absolutely the best process one could ask for. More specifically: What was really special about our photos is that they were authentic and in real time. My wife actually wanted no photographer at all, at first. Being from New York, she had seen photographers direct weddings and disallow the bride and groom from enjoying themselves. She had seen fake "moments" posed for, time and time again. In New York, its like you are posing for a photo shoot, rather than enjoying your wedding. Laura corrects this issue by using TWO photographers. Laura and her sister let your wedding take place, while they roam around like little ninjas capturing every moment from multiple angles. During the ceremony and reception, we never posed once. Every photo took place in real time, and REAL moments were capture. It made the day much more special, and the photos significantly more authentic. Also, for every big moment (i.e. first kiss, first dance, speeches, cake cutting) we have multiple views, perspectives, focuses and colors to work with - much better than a single photographer, where you might get unlucky with a shot, and there is nothing you can do about it. To sum it up: Laura was our favorite vendor to work with throughout the entire wedding process. Hands down. Thank you, Laura.

or a photographer, everyone seemed kinda the same & then I stumbled upon her site, which is so simple & fun & so well put together from her cute, swirly, fun little logo to the layout of the site. Very personal & artsy. She was so easy to work with as far as putting together ideas of what to wear, props, cool things to do, when to meet, etc. She was very quick to respond & I never hesistated to ask her questions. The weather was bad the day we were supposed to meet & she was extrememly flexible with her schedule to accomodate a better day, which turned out to be a beautiful day. Picture day: she was right on time, happy & eager to get some great shots. We had never done a shot before, so we were rather "stiff" coming into the shoot, but we immediately felt so relaxed by her calming presence, she was very easy to work with. She also was so great with the dogs & worked around us, instead of telling us mechanically where to move & what to do. She was wonderful, such a trooper as I'm sure we weren't the easy bunch to shoot :) Then, at the end of the day as the sun went down & it got chilly, we wanted some shoots in the water, & she did not hesitate to jump right in & get sandy for some really amazing photos. Her editing & delivery of the photos was very timely & they were stunning. Nothing I could've ever imagined. The lighting & coloring in all the photos was epic & she captured our love very well. So so so happy, love them, so glad we choose her & we wouldn't have had it any other way.

Laura also takes a second photographer, her lovely sister, so that way one photographer is with the bride and the other is with the groom, before the ceremony. I haven't received my wedding pictures yet but I am sure they will be as perfect as the engagement session pictures were.

y so glad that everything turned out wonderful, but also glad that I know someone like Laura. She was really helpful with creating something to reflect our relationship. We had a great shoot in Topanga State Park and it was so fun to spend time with her. Now we have GREAT photos to share with our family and friends.
