When she threw out the idea of a green cake with gold details, I was curious at first then get REALLY excited as she sketched it out and described it in more detail. It was seriously something we were looking forward to the entire time leading up to the wedding. The cake turned out absolutely stunning and it brought a tear to our eyes the first time we saw it! In addition to the cake, we ordered a dessert bar with a variety of sweet treats our guests could enjoy. She even created a lovely gluten-free/vegan tart for those with allergies. Laura is so fabulous and her work is divine! We can’t express just how happy we were with how the cake and dessert table turned out. Thank you, Laura!!!!

My husband and I like many others had to jump so many hurdles. We had to make the choice of getting married intimately do we wouldn't lose our wedding license and not able to receive another due to the shut downs. When the shutdown occurred I contacted all my vendors, Laura being one, and they were all so companionate and understanding the mandate was out of anyone's control and would work with my husband and I to provide a service. My husband and I hoped for a refund. My husband and I got married intimate on May, 2020, but due to the restrictions on gatherings none of our vendors provided their services. I became pregnant soon after so I pushed away the distress of reaching out to my vendors. Did any try reaching out? No. As a new wife and first time mom all my focus was on my family. I was patient and understanding with all my vendors, knowing this is their source of income. But I expected the same in return. How can a person/business feel right pocketing money they didn't earn, provided nothing for. Well here I am 2 years later, after countless emails trying to reach out for credit or refund. I've received nothing in return. They took my money and ran. If you can learn anything from me on planning for your special day, save your money, don't spend it on people who will screw you over just for your money. Marry intimate, invest your money elsewhere, or take a lux honeymoon. You'll thank me later.

We got so many compliments about the flavors, as well - apparently one of my friends had FIVE slices! Let's be frank, her cakes are not cheap, but they are WORTH EVERY PENNY. You get what you pay for! *Word to the wise - if doing multiple flavors, ask for your favorite one to be on top, so you can save it for the 1-year anniversary!*

eat the top tier currently sitting in our freezer. Not only are the cakes delicious, but they are GORGEOUS (check out Laura’s Instagram!). We were beyond happy with how our cake turned out and all of our guests were commenting about how they had never seen or eaten a cake like it. Besides the cake itself, Laura is so welcoming and accommodating. Since we don’t live in the area, Laura arranged a special tasting for us on the dates we were in town which was so unexpected and sweet of her. If you are looking for an incredible, unique cake that tastes like heaven, hire Laura!

We wanted a fairly simple design, but a tasteful cake and we got exactly what we wanted! A few weeks before the wedding, Laura Marie welcomed us to her facility for a tasting. We got to taste 5-6 flavors which were all delicious and finally chose the lemon and raspberry one. We also discussed design and presentation etc. Our cake was delightful, tasted so fresh and all our guests loved it! Some of them even asked for a second piece haha ;) I would highly recommend Laura Marie if you want a high quality, delicious cake for your wedding...not to mention that the lady is so SWEET (no pun intended haha! Did she not see that my appt was for over a month even though two days before she cancelled my appointment she had emailed asking about cake designs I had in mind?

ok the time to walk me through all of the details that one needs to think about when getting a wedding cake. After talking to her and seeing pictures of other cakes that she had created, I knew that I wanted her to make my wedding cake. I also decided to have her create a groom’s cake for the wedding as well. I am so happy with how both the wedding and groom’s cakes turned out. With all of the wedding chaos, I did not even see the cake until half-way through the first dance when it caught my eye. It was so beautiful and captured our style perfectly. I had sent Laura some pictures of other cakes that I thought were nice, and she recreated the feel of those cakes and our preferences in our cake. The groom’s cake was fun, and the groom was ecstatic. In addition to looking amazing, the cake tasted delicious. We are very happy that we chose Laura to make our cake and felt like she really took the time to get to know us and what we wanted for our wedding.

h whipped cream and lemon/blueberry filling for the top tier, and everyone loved it so much! We wanted a very simple semi-naked design to go with our travel theme, and Laura gave us exactly what we wanted. But I've gotta try her geode cake sometime, it looks so amazing. Maybe for our anniversary!

2 different cakes, which were very good. We decided to hire her services right then when she told us she could make the cake we wanted at a very reasonable price; what it seems very complicated to most bakeries, she can do, no problem! A couple of months after we signed our contract and paid a deposit, we found out we could no longer have the delicious natural fruit filling we tasted at our consultation, apparently due to some change to her license. Her cakes were still very good without the natural fruit fillings. She is very detail oriented; rest assured, you will get a beautiful and good tasting cake from her. Even though our cake was breathtaking, we feel like the requested ruffles were not as detailed (thin and wavy ruffles) as her other creations. We were later explained that the ruffles were intended to be the way they were (thicker and non-wavy layers), even though that is not what we requested. Also, there's a lot of room for improvement regarding communication: when you are hiring a professional vendor for your wedding, you want to have peace of mind knowing everything is going according to your plan (and contract), so open communication is a key for success. We would recommend or hire her services again. We had a beautiful, good tasting cake -- good value for the cost.
