She got all the pictures I wanted and was polite to the older adults who were a little mean to get their perfect picture. The pictures take a little to get back to you, but it is completely worth it. There were some pictures that she missed, so I would have a paper copy of what you want. I recommend getting her and another photographer so you can have all the shots you want. Gosha is like a second mother so ask for her! I would also do an engagement photo shoot with her so you meet each other before the wedding day.

We booked Laura Schmitt Photography for our engagement and wedding photos in Green Bay and they were absolutely stunning! One of the things that drew me to Laura was her photojournalism style of photography and the quality of her images. I love that she is able to not only capture beautiful portraits, but also the candid images that capture the raw emotion of the day. She also did a fantastic job at capturing the small details of our wedding in beautiful images. During the planning process she was always quick to respond to emails, calls, texts, etc. and always had great suggestions on poses and locations. Laura was the best to work with. With COVID-19 going on, our wedding date was changed three times. Laura was more than accommodating with every plan that we had for each of the days. When the big day came, she was all over the place taking incredible pictures. Looking back at all of the pictures, she captured everything. Laura was wonderful to work with! Her communication was consistent and reliable, and she was extremely flexible as we changed our wedding plans for COVID. We were married in July of 2019 shortly after a storm wreaked havoc on the Central Wisconsin area. We were without power for a few hours prior to our scheduled ceremony. Due to the weather, our options were limited for an outdoor shoot. Without power we had little lighting but she was able to arrange for a generator to power the lights and made the lobby of our hotel a great backdrop for photos. She was such a pro and managed to direct our family through an impromptu setup and location in short order. It never occurred to us that we might not have power prior to the wedding ceremony, and we never had to worry about it. Our first look shoot, captured by window light, turned out absolutely stunning. We've known Laura for a long time and she's a great friend. She was about four months pregnant and was able to capture each shot without hesitation. We are so thrilled with our photos and can't thank her enough for everything she did on our special day. We received so many compliments on both her manner throughout the day and the finished photos. She was very resourceful and went above and beyond. We were honored to have her photograph our wedding and we can't recommend her enough.

Laura photographed our wedding in May of 2019. If you’re looking for someone who makes wedding planning easier rather than more stressful she’s your lady! Laura is well worth the price. Our photos are all beautiful and she captured very natural, affectionate moments just like I imagined. I love the way she uses sunlight and color in the photos. She was great to work in person and via phone/email to respond to questions. For our engagement photos, Laura was willing to drive to Winona so that we could have our session in the city where Ryan and I met. Then on the day of our wedding she was such a pro. It rained during our ceremony, but she had no hesitation about getting into the mud for a good shot when taking group photos afterwards. She also managed to wrangle my husband's extremely large and absent-minded family together for a photo, and made an extra stop to get photos with Ryan's grandfather who was too frail to attend the wedding. I highly recommend Laura for a wedding!!! She made sure to gather people for all the group photos I asked for and kept us on schedule. I asked her to capture the day in a natural way, and she really did. I never saw her during the ceremony. She must have been sneaky because she never missed a thing. Since a Monday wedding date opened up the option for the choice of many wedding photographers, I reviewed many websites, reviews, pricing, and emailed several. Once narrowing it down to Laura and two others, I noticed a difference in her email professionalism to her timely responsiveness compared to the other two photographers. She also sold me on her style - both a blend of photojournalism and traditional wedding photography. I value responsiveness and attention to detail, and appreciated Laura's quick follow-up and engaged nature. Her pricing is very fair to market, and is a good price for the service you get. We are very happy with our photos from Laura. I would choose Laura again for other photography services needed.

Laura Schmitt was great to work with. She was very professional, and came to our venue quite early to take photos of decorations, my dress, flowers, and our wedding rings. My husband and I weren't very comfortable having our pictures taken and she worked with us to make sure we had some beautiful photos. We actually enjoyed having our picture taken! All of our photos turned out beautifully, and Laura was willing to do any edits to photos as requested, but we already loved the pictures as they were. Highly recommend!

Words can’t describe how thankful and appreciative we are of everything Laura did to help us prepare for the wedding as well as making everything stay so calm and go so smoothly on our wedding day. Communication/Professionalism: We were planning our wedding remotely, and Laura was great about working with us via Skype/email. Laura has a lot of experience photographing weddings, so I would recommend booking her early on in your wedding planning process to get feedback about the logistics of your wedding day. She gave us a great advice about how much time to budget for posed photos (we took couple photos in the UW Madison Arboretum and family photos in front of the Capital), and then she kept us on schedule the day of the wedding -- taking all of the posed photos that we wanted within the designated timeframe. She also made great suggestions on the day of the wedding. For example, we hadn't given any thought to the first look (we try to be go-with-flow people). And Laura came up with a plan for our first look on the day of our wedding, and these photos are some of our favorites. Skill: Laura's background in photojournalism was evident in the candid photos from our wedding day. She hustled ALL day long -- taking a ton of photos often from a variety of different angles -- so that when you look at a series of photos, you actually get a sense of what it felt like to be at our wedding! My husband and I have already gone through the wedding photos several times -- re-living our wedding day. Personality: Laura is a kind and down-to-earth person -- which are qualities that we valued -- especially since we were with Laura from the time that I was getting ready through the ceremony and reception. At the last minute, we asked Laura to stay an extra hour later (you can pay per additional hour) to take photos of us at one of our favorite bars in Madison. Laura was able to stay late, and the photos that she took of us walking down State Street and being at The Plaza are some of our favorites. Laura, if you are reading this, thank you!!!

Laura did an AMAZING job for our engagement pictures, and our wedding day! She was able to meet us in Stoughton, WI for the engagement shoot, and Neenah, WI for our wedding. Laura was a delight to work with. My husband and I planned our very small, simple wedding from our home in Germany, and Laura was ever-understanding and patient with our haphazard communication from overseas. She made sure to keep in contact as the date neared without making us feel any pressure. The week before the wedding, she set up a coffee date with us to go through the specifics and get a feel for the location. She came well prepared with a thorough list of questions that were well thought out and tailored to our informal backyard celebration. The day of, Laura arrived promptly and jumped right into her work, going about taking pictures of all the most important moments without being intrusive. My favorite pictures of the day were those Laura took of just my husband and Ime at the “golden hour” just before sunset. Laura was a great coach and the pictures turned out almost ludicrously gorgeous. Overall working with Laura was fun, stress-free, and resulted in amazing pictures. Her pictures were very professionally done and exactly as we wished, and we had the feeling that she truly cared about helping us have the best wedding experience possible - and the best memories to keep of it. I'd recommend her as a photographer without reservation!

Choosing Laura for our wedding photographer was the best decision!! She was so amazing and adapted to all of our needs on the day of our wedding. We had planned on having pictures taken outdoors, but on the day of the wedding it was raining so hard that we were thinking we'd have to cancel the outdoor pictures (which I was not happy about because I loved the outdoor location). Laura convinced us that it was still ok to take the pictures outside and I am so happy that we did because they turned out amazing!! I am very happy that we booked Laura to do our photography. She is extremely organized and helped answer my questions about how a wedding day schedule usually looks. Then, on the day of she calmly helped keep us on track when we weren't noticing how fast the time was flying by. Fantastic! Also, the pictures looked amazing and she gave us a cool gift. The only reason I gave her a 4 star is because I always believe there is a little room for constructive criticism which is this: a little bit more help with posing people that don't know their body angles.

Laura is AMAZING! My now husband and I used her for our wedding and engagement photos. She was so easy to get ahold of when we needed her, and it was very easy to plan appointments with her when we needed them. If you want the very best, go with Laura! Not only does she truly have an artistic gift when it comes to photography, she has the professional skills to back up her art. (I think that makes her especially unique in this day and age, when pretty much anyone can pick up a camera and call themselves a wedding photographer.) Laura was amazing to work with and our wedding photos (all 500+ of them) are absolutely perfect. We couldn't be happier with her work. Also, she's just a pretty cool person! We took a chance on Laura after she showed up in a Google search for Central Wisconsin photographers - we didn’t know anyone who had worked with her but we liked her other work and her prices seemed reasonable. We booked an engagement session knowing that, in the back of our minds, if we ended up hating the photos, we could always try to get someone else for our wedding day. We met Laura at our engagement photo location (she travelled a couple of hours to get there) and right away we felt comfortable working with her - she acknowledged the initial awkwardness but easily made us feel comfortable. She directed without being overbearing and was also open to our ideas. A few weeks later, we received our engagement photos… and we loved them. We felt they captured us as a couple and we felt encouraged about having her as our wedding day photographer. Fast forward a few months and Laura notified us that she was pregnant with her due date about a month after our wedding date. Upon informing us of her exciting news, she had already lined up an alternative photographer to come photograph our wedding in the event she could not be there. She also indicated that, if she was able to be there, the second photographer would come anyway! She went above and beyond in making these arrangements, and we were grateful. Wedding day came and Laura was on point. She was so friendly with our family and friends and was almost like an assistant! Her friend and alternative photographer, Andi, was just as kind, fun, and helpful. During the ceremony, I hardly noticed either photographer. Prior to leaving for the night, Laura came up to me and my family on a couple of occasions to confirm that we had all the pictures we wanted captured. My husband and I awaited anxiously for our photos, because we knew they’d be good. But when we got our photos we were shocked - they were even better than we could have imagined. Laura captured all your traditional shots but she also caught some candid moments that we only fondly recalled after looking at the pictures - and isn’t that the point of photographs? To bring back memories? We were so pleased with our pictures and are getting so many compliments on them. We couldn’t recommend Laura more highly! The pictures turned out amazing and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to take the pictures, she does awesome works, I would recommend her if you need a photographer for anything!!
