Laura was absolutely outstanding! After a less than good experience with another make-up and hair artist, Laura absolutely hit a homerun with my wife's hair and make-up! It was perfection. Her hair was gorgeous without looking over the top and make-up was Stellar and didn't look like she was wearing a thick layer of products. It highlighted all the best features (cheekbones, eyes, lashes, etc). The best part was how much Laura truly cared. From the first phone call to the wedding and even following up after, Laura was a true professional and so fun!

Where do I begin? Laura is one of the sweetest humans I have met and I was not only grateful to meet her, but also get to work with her on my big day. She nailed it out of the park at the trial run and she made me feel like the most beautiful bride on my big day! Laura was truly amazing to work with! I wanted my hair to last through both the Korean ceremony and the American wedding, which the hair was still holding up perfectly by the end of the night. She also helped my makeup be natural yet appropriate for the photos. A couple of my bridesmaids wanted their hair added the day of and Laura was so efficient and made individual bridesmaids hair perfect for that person. She was so great to work with, I highly recommend her if you're looking for a great makeup and hair artist!

Loved working with Nicole from Laura’s team. She and I had a lot in common and she helped me feel very comfortable with the hair and makeup (I usually don’t do much). It turned out beautiful for me and my 6 bridesmaids. Nicole also gave us much needed advice during the trial and day of for my veil and how to cry properly with makeup/false lashes lol. The only con was that communication via e-mail was not very smooth. There were some IT issues with the program they were using that it would send the same message repeatedly and not show new messages unless you logged in to gmail through a web browser (I normally use an app). Other than that I would highly recommend them! Payment was easy through use of Venmo and I liked that gratuity was included so I didn’t have to bring cash or a check on my wedding day.

Laura’s team created beautiful looks for myself and bridal party. The reason I’m giving 4/5 is because communication was really lacking whenever I’d reach out to Laura which created extra stress for me. 2/3 stylists also showed up late day of the wedding which lead them to seem rushed to complete hair and makeup for my bridesmaids. Asides from those things, the stylists were nice and made the morning enjoyable.

Laura Westrem is the best of the best. Words cannot describe the talent & professionalism she showed throughout the entire process. I was a 2020 “covid” bride who had to postpone our wedding two times. Laura was so kind and gave me so much love and support through the tough process of having to reschedule. When I had my trial with her, it was like I found a heaven sent soul-sister. She is so amazing and has the biggest heart- she is so invested in you and your big day. Our long awaited wedding was a dream and she made my bridal party and I look outstanding. She can literally do any hairstyle- one of my bridesmaids said she loved her hair more that day than what she did on her own wedding day! My bridal party was a mix of ethnicities and styles, and Laura and her team made us all look like goddesses. Laura, thank you again so much for everything. You have a lifetime customer, and friend. I adore you and am eternally grateful for you.

When I first met Laura I knew I made the right choice. She made me feel welcome right away. I went to her home that has a lovely make up studio. After playing around with a few different looks, Laura helped me find the perfect look for my wedding day. She made me feel like a natural beauty and I can't wait to have Laura recreate it for me on my wedding day. She is was making me laugh the entire time and super awesome to work with. The lashes even lasted me MULTIPLE days! I got them done on a Thursday night and then wore them out for dinner at my bachelorette party on Friday then took them off on Saturday to go tubing :) I would HIGHLY recommend Laura, she was fun to work with and did an amazing / quality job. :)

Laura did it all. She went above and beyond to bring my bridal vision to life. She was flexible with scheduling dates, did several trials - because I'm high maintenance, even though I swore I wouldn't be a bridezilla 😝. She delivered amazing service for our big day. She had more tools and products than I could have imagined. She even provided touch ups as needed throughout the day (after happy tears). My makeup was on point and my hair was spectacular. My husband talks about how beautiful I looked when I walked out ALL the time, (we did not do a first look). I would highly recommend Laura Westrem Artistry and will definitely book her again for any event.

Laura and her team were wonderful to work with! My bridal party of 5 got ready at the Hewing hotel and Laura and her team were exceptionally organized, punctual and professional. Laura and her team were engaging, conversational and made the morning feel extra special. Laura was amazing to work with! She made me feel more beautiful than I ever have, and my hair and makeup lasted all day and night. She and her assistant were a lot of fun to get ready with. Planning a wedding when you live 978 miles away from the location is beyond stressful. Not knowing any vendors for any part of your special day is a shot in the dark, similar to trying to hit a moving target while blindfolded. They were spot on with both makeup and hair....they made the process fun and relaxing...and were beyond professional. We had a run through several month prior to the wedding for myself and all the wedding party ladies. Laura and Nicole arrived on time, listened to what we wanted done, and made it happen! They are truly outstanding experts in their field! I cannot imagine my wedding day having happened without them.

Laura is INCREDIBLE! Laura was absolutely the best hair and makeup stylist to work with in the Minneapolis area. We first planned our wedding in Minneapolis, and then COVID hit so we pushed the venue to Bemidji, MN. Without hesitation Laura was willing to come north for the wedding. Through adding on services and taking them off, Laura was completely flexible and helpful. Planning a wedding during such an impossible time was made easier because Laura was extremely friendly, professional, and helpful. At the end of the day, she just wanted to make me happy and feel at ease for my wedding day. Having a vendor who really cares is extremely important! And even better, I could not be happier with how my hair and makeup turned out! And my bridesmaids loved it too! Everything was stunningly elegant and soft for our winter wedding. Laura and her team listened to everyone's wants and needs and executed them perfectly. They were extremely safe and clean during the entire wedding. Laura is seriously amazing. I was really nervous for my hair and makeup after moving my wedding from New Mexico to MN last minute, and Laura made all of that nervousness go away. She was able to capture exactly what I wanted and then some. She also did my mother and mother in law’s hair and makeup—she delivered 100% with three different looks and comfort levels. Laura did the hair and makeup for my wedding in September and she did an amazing job! I had her and her team do all 7 of my bridesmaids hair and some of there makeup! Not only did everyone look amazing but I felt like she pulled out all the stops to make sure my hair and makeup were perfect. My hair looked better then I ever could have imagined and my makeup was flawless. I would high recommend Laura and her team. Not only is she extremely personable and professional but she was very flexible with me and my crazy schedule. I would not have changed a thing!

This sounds silly but I didn't realize until my wedding day how much of an impact your hair and makeup vendor has on your wedding day beyond your hair and makeup. Laura Westrem nailed my hair (my aunt did my makeup) and did an amazing job for my bridesmaids. During the trial run, she got exactly the look I'd wanted on the first try and replicated it perfectly the day of. She even helped me find some beautiful (and inexpensive) accessories for my hair. Laura is beyond talented. But possibly more important is the fact that she is EXACTLY the person you want to spend the hours leading up to your wedding with. She is so positive and kind-hearted. She never loses sight of how big of a day it is for you and every interaction with her shows it. I am really grateful to have had Laura be a part of my big day.

Hiring Laura to style my daughter's and her wedding party's hair was a great decision! She did and beautiful job and was extremely patient and professional! We never felt as if she was in a hurry to finish and she even helped clean up our luncheon mess after we left for the church! Money well spent!

Laura. Is. Phenomenal. Getting your makeup and hair done by Laura is like having a spa day with your best friend who just happens to be a top tier professional. She is kind, courteous, hilarious -- and so skillful at her trade. In addition, she made planning from out-of-state a breeze. Laura checks in at every step of the way to make sure you feel nothing short of gorgeous and comfortable. I tend to not wear a lot of makeup (mascara and blush only usually) and wear my hair straight down, so I was worried about not looking like myself for photos -- but also wanting to look beautiful and put together. Laura Westrem did a phenomenal job on the hair and make-up for the whole bridal party - she was quick and efficient, but also more than willing to listen to our needs, what we wanted our hair and make-up to look like, and change the plan day of/be flexible even after doing the hair/make-up a certain way! I also appreciate her ability to get back to me quickly when I originally contacted her with pricing, day of timeline and other details. Throughout the course of planning the wedding, there were times when it was harder to get in contact with her (sometimes needed to send a few emails back to back), but they were never urgent questions and I was always able to get an answer. When I did have important or urgent questions, Laura always responded right away.

Laura is simply the best. She and her team are top notch and incredibly talented. They did make-up and hair for all my bridesmaids, mom and mother-in-law and they are still talking about how beautiful they felt that day. Laura and her team (mom - Mary) were fabulous on my wedding day! They arrived with a ton of energy and enthusiasm and it was infectious throughout the day! I couldn’t have imagined a better team for hair and make-up. Me, my bridemaids and moms are typically more natural and wear little makeup, but I wanted it to be a special day. Laura and Mary have a way of making everyone feel comfortable and at ease. We all loved our hair and make up. I read in one review before I booked Laura that she was like a “fairy godmother” and it is so true. They had finished hair and make up on everyone, and still wanted to help, so they brought some decorations to the venue… Meanwhile, when taking wedding photos by Lake Superior, I was inadvertently hit by a wave. It made for a great photo, but left me, my dress and shoes soaking wet. Laura and Mary both came to my rescue when I arrived at the venue, with a hairdryer in hand, make up and hair touch ups, not to mention eye contact assistance. They definitely went above and beyond their call of duty to make my wedding day special and it will definitely be memorable!

Laura and her team are amazing!! Laura came to my house for the trial and traveled to our hotel the morning of the wedding. She made sure I was comfortable with the amount of makeup and the hairstyle- making the smallest adjustments that I requested. My wedding party LOVED her and everyone looked STUNNING! If I could give Laura and her crew 10 stars, I would. When you hire Laura, you are not just hiring another vendor. You are receiving a friend who genuinely cares about how gorgeous you look on your special day. I had the privilege of having Laura and her Mom at my wedding. They were like fairy godmothers - running around making sure you have everything you need. They know weddings and provide this calm you wouldnt otherwise experience. I mentioned I was hungry at one point and Laura's mom busts out some ham and swiss sandwiches from her bag. Need a toothbrush? They had a disposable one. Need a laugh? That just happens the whole time. I cannot review Laura highly enough. Just do yourself a favor and hire her!

Start as a client, leave as a friend. Laura first helped me with my hair and make-up for my senior pictures. My mom and I had such a fun time with Laura that we hired her again at my mom's wedding. Since Laura did such an amazing job the first two times, I was POSITIVE I wanted her to help me at my wedding. My hair and make up was more perfect than I even imagined it to be. Besides the fact that Laura is an amazing artist, her and her mom are a great team to work with! She is so personal and can brighten up any room with her radiant personality. On a scale of 1 to 5 Laura Westrem is a 6. She is truly a master at what she does. You don't realize how much time your hair/makeup stylist spends with you on the morning of your wedding. They are there for all the drama, the laughs and the nerves. I can honestly say there is no one else I would have chosen to have there with me and bridesmaids on my wedding day. I sat back, relaxed and let her make us into the prettiest versions of ourselves. You can tell her and her team love what they do and they didn't leave us until everyone was completely satisfied with their look down to the last strand of hair and lip color. I have never felt prettier in my life than on my wedding day and I can't thank Laura enough for making that happen.

When I was looking for hair and makeup for the wedding day I really spent a lot of time researching different salons, plus people who would come to you. I wanted it to be easy, but also affordable for my bridesmaids. It ended up that Laura Westrem was priced similarly to salons and they would come right to your house (or wherever else you were getting ready). Laura was so great to work with from Day 1. She was super helpful in looking at our day of schedule and we added a few more artists due to the amount of people we had to get ready. Laura came to my parent's house for the hair and makeup trial and she is so outgoing and friendly! She immediately felt like your friend. And when it came to the hair and makeup, I was so impressed!! She was absolutely perfect! On the wedding day her and the other 3 came to my parent's house and the extras that we added were all wonderful as well! It was so much fun to get ready at my parent's house and I felt like it was so relaxed. We started getting a little off schedule but the artists were so great at just going with the flow and everything was completely done on time! My whole wedding party and my mom (and of course me!) loved all of the hair and makeup! Everyone did such a great job. They were so much fun to work with as well! Definitely recommend for anyone!

I have had my make-up done for several occasions and this was BY FAR the best make-up I have ever had done. I am also very picky about my make-up and colors and they worked with me to get everything perfect. Laura was great to work with. She got back to me right away with all my questions and she paid attention to every detail for my day. I would highly recommend Laura Westrem Artistry for your wedding! :)

Laura was so wonderful to work with!! My hair and make up turned out exactly how I envisioned it would! I requested airbrushed make up and fake lashes, and it turned out to be perfect. If you are debating over whether or not to do this, go for it!! Everyone commented on what a beautiful job she did. There were 7 of us who requested services, so she brought an assistant with her. She was so friendly, and also did a great job. At the last minute, my flower girl decided she wanted her hair done too, and Laura gladly fit her in to the tight schedule! Laura Westrem is a true artist. Your face is her canvas and she never disappoints! There was no question that she would be doing my wedding makeup after having her do it 3 prior times when I was bridesmaid. She takes what you like and dislike seriously, but I also trust her as the artist to make some suggestions of her own. I never felt like I had too much makeup on, or had that caked on foundation look that didn't match the rest of my body. It was fresh and fun! Laura and her team did a great job with the entire wedding party, we couldn't have been more pleased!

Laura was great for our wedding. She did a great job on me, bridesmaids, flower girls, and MOB. Laura brought her mother, Mary to help with curling. They were both a joy to spend the morning with!

I am at the lucky recipient of the 2015 Fairy Godmother Project MN wedding, a project that donates a wedding to one military couple a year. Laura signed up as the donating vendor for my hair/makeup, also providing for my bridal party and mothers. I met Laura for a trial before my shower, and I immediately connected with her. She is fun, easy going, and has energy that people want to be around. Laura not only fit me into a busy Sat., but she took extra time to spruce up my sis. I met Laura again for a boudoir shoot. Laura spent hours with me. Once again, I felt beautiful. Laura knows how to work her magic. Laura and I conversed many times before my wedding about a rash on my face. She advised me on things to try and eliminate. I was allergic to my makeup brushes and only realized after Laura’s council. Wedding Day was amazing! We had a destination wedding. Laura and her two assistants Mary and Cory were amazing. They beautified 11 women. They worked around the chaos of all of us plus my dogs, visitors and a few meltdowns. They were very kind and patient and helped keep the good energy flowing. After I had left to begin pictures, they went with my mother-in-law to her hotel room to assist her in dressing my father-in-law, who has recently been confined to a wheelchair. I had 6 people tell me how impressed and touched they were by Laura and her crew for helping my in-laws. The stress of caring for someone disabled is intense, especially when you are out of your element in a strange place. I cannot imagine what they would have done without their help. My mother-in-law shed many tears of gratitude. What I take from this experience with Laura is way more than just beautiful hair and makeup. My heart is touched by her giving nature and her selflessness in going way above and beyond to help aid us in so many ways, ensuring our wedding was a success. What I take most is Laura’s friendship. I cannot thank her enough for all she has given to me. She is the best of the best.

Laura is by far the best in the business. She is patient, kind, fun, and so professional. I looked gorgeous thanks to her. She goes above and beyond- always offering more! MADE A SPECIAL DAY EXTRA SPECIAL WITH HER MAGICAL TOUCHES! She did an AWESOME job with makeup and hair for myself and bridesmaids. HIRE HER FOR THE WHOLE DAY throughout picture taking and until the reception. It is WORTH THE COST!!! I DIDN'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT LOOKING IN A MIRROR for touchups. I had fun and laughed instead. My vail came off in the wind and she was right there to put it back on securely. She can be VERY TRANSPARENT and people don't even know she is helping make you look beautiful OR she can join in on the FUN AND GIVE YOU GREAT TIPS. I highly recommend her!!! It took MUCH STRESS OUT of our special day and her bubbly personality helped make our whole day wonderful!

Laura did the hair and make-up for my wedding and I couldn't have been happier. I came to the trial with what I thought I wanted, but what she gave me was even more beautiful. She was flexible and only gave me what I wanted, not pushing anything extra. She and her assistant also did my bridesmaids, flower girl and my mom, all of whom were really impressed with their work. Laura did my make-up (along with that of my bridesmaids) for my wedding and she is absolutely amazing. She is easy to work with and fun to have around while getting ready. Normally, I wear minimal makeup but Lori, our wedding planner, encouraged me to hire Laura Westrem to ensure I looked good in photos. As a test run, I hired Laura to do makeup for the engagement pictures. Laura has a fantastic personality and I loved her the minute we met. She listened carefully to what I wanted and gave me a mirror so I could watch each step. Her talent was evident in the engagement photos. Between engagement photos and wedding, there was about a 4 month span. Laura kept in touch via email to find out how the planning was going and to ask if I had any questions or other thoughts for makeup. On the day of the wedding, Laura did my makeup and also the makeup for my two sisters. Anyone with sisters can imagine how much fun it was to have a big girl makeup party before the big event! Laura fit right in and became our new sister. I would highly recommend Laura. She is talented and her warmth and humor helped manage the pre-wedding jitters. Laura did far more than just my makeup. She was part of creating a very special memory with my sisters, on my wedding day; one that we will never forget!

Laura did an amazing job on my wedding makeup. She perfectly captured the look I was hoping for, and gave me worry-free makeup that lasted all day and all night, even after lots of energetic dancing! Laura did my wedding day make-up (airbrush and lashes) and I couldn't have been happier with how it turned out. I originally contacted her because of a good friend's enthusiastic recommendation based on her own flawless wedding day experience with Laura. From that point forward, Laura was extremely professional, responsive and organized to work with and it is clear she is very knowledgeable about the wedding planning/scheduling process which was very helpful! The end result was exactly what I wanted and she even sent me with extra lip color to stay fresh throughout the day. I received many compliments on my make-up from guests! I was a bridesmaid for this wedding and the bride brought in Laura for her makeup services. The bride had raved about her before the event but, to be honest, I had my reservations. When it comes to my makeup, I know what I like and what I don't like. I've gotten my makeup done a handful of times and, unfortunately, did not like any of them. The minute I met Laura, I knew that this was going to be a different experience. She had the makeup tool bag wrapped around her waist, brushes in hand, and a smile waiting for me. She meant business, and friendly business at that. I showed her a picture of my heroine, Rachel McAdams, and she went to town figuring out the perfect colors and perfect application. While she worked, she asked about my skin, my likes and dislikes with makeup, and even about myself. It was like catching up with an old friend who was also a genius in the makeup area. Her makeup application was flawless and spot on with the look I had requested. I would recommend her not only for her makeup skills but also for the friendly and engaged presence she brings to the event. We even hit a bit of a time crunch and Laura remained calm, joyful, and completely present to the person she was serving. Laura is a delight to work with, and I can't wait to find an excuse to have her do my makeup again. Date night, here we come!

I can not put into words how amazing Laura is! At our pre-wedding trial she took her time to figure out exactly what I was wanting to look like on the big day. On the day of the wedding she got to the venue before we did so she could set everything up and have it ready for when we got there. She took her time with all the girls, the mothers and myself. Everyone was thrilled with how their make-up turned out and couldn't say enough positive things. Laura is also the nicest most personable person I have met. She makes everyone feel comfortable and beautiful. I couldn't have asked for a better person to do our make-up.

I hired Laura to do my hair and makeup for my wedding and could not have been more pleased. Not only is she super friendly and great at calming you down the day of, but she is SUPER talented and able to do a range of styles.
