It's hard to find the right words to express the talent, professionalism, creativity and FUN that is Laura Wills Photography. This incredible combination of talent makes her the very best and I wouldn't have trusted anyone else with the (almost) 20 hours of photography of our multicultural, two day ceremony. Not only is Laura so obviously talented behind the camera, she is organized, quick with communication, accommodating and respectful in creating a vision that embodies the couple. Looking back on our photos is like reliving our celebrations and even seeing moments we missed the first time. Not only was she busy capturing every detail, she also documented with film & on social media, which was SO FUN to see happing in real time & being able to quickly share (and build the anticipation for the wedding album!). Everything about Laura is amazing - she even brought a drone for our baraat, which was something the groom expressed wanting early on! She is thoughtful, creative, kind and simply brilliant. I cannot wait to book Laura again for all big (and little) milestones in our lives.

We had a 100/10 experience with Laura and her team! I had the pleasure of working with both Laura and Sophie - and they both knocked it out of the park on all cylinders. Laura has extremely prompt communication, AMAZING PHOTO SKILLS, they both have great personalities and were easy to work with. We received all of our photos earlier than expected and were absolutely speechless when we looked through them all. I thoroughly enjoyed having them both part of my rehearsal and wedding nights. I am not kidding when I say I am obsessed with my wedding photos and Laura totally captured the vibe and vision. Easy YES!!!

Laura and her team are absolutely phenomenal! We hired them for our 2023 wedding, and it was one of our best investments!! They have a way of being there to capture the authentic moments while also getting all the “must-haves.” They are organized, kind, and a great time to be around. There aren't enough words to describe our perfect Laura was for us and we are thrilled to share our incredible experience with the best wedding photographer we could have asked for. From the moment we first spoke to Laura, her vision and passion for capturing special moments was evident. Throughout the entire process, her communication was impeccable, ensuring that every detail was discussed and understood. On our wedding day, Laura went above and beyond to perfectly capture all the best moments, both big and small (AKA everything from the kiss to the bride changing into slippers before heading to the dance floor). Laura got down on the floor to capture the BEST action shots on the dance floor. Every dance off, every break down, was all in our wedding album. We get to relive moments that happened in a blink of an eye. Her creative eye and attention to detail resulted in photos that exceeded our expectations. Another thing (among the many) that sets her apart was her efficiency in delivering the photos. We had a December wedding (I'm sure a very busy time of year for her with holidays and capturing countless family photos for Christmas cards). We received our perfectly edited pictures in record time, allowing us to relive the magic of our wedding day so soon after. It is very obvious to us how dedicated Laura is to her work. Choosing Laura was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We are forever grateful for her talent, vision, creativity, and the seamless experience she provided. Laura did an absolute wonderful job photographing our wedding! I have worked with Laura for our family photos for years and she was the first vendor I reached out to after getting engaged as I knew we had to have her photograph our wedding! Our pictures came out exactly how we wanted them. She is very organized, easy to work with, responsive, and flexible. She did a great job creating a photo timeline that helped us stay on track the day of our wedding. We would 100% recommend Laura. She will make you big day everything that you imagined!

Laura was amazing to work with. She helped me with all questions about photography but also any other questions I had. There were so many questions I had about the timeline of the day, the order of the ceremony, other vendors and any design questions I had. Laura helped reduce all my stress knowing she would respond to any message within the day. I can’t express enough how amazing Laura made our day. She made sure everything was on time. She was so much fun to work with. We loved her after our engagement photo session and after our wedding with her, we were so thankful to have her as our photographer. She is an amazing person to work with and her photos are even more amazing. We were on our honeymoon when we received our wedding album and there were so many happy emotions reliving our day. I first met Laura while interviewing her for a story in a local magazine. I wasn't engaged at the time, but I knew the second I was I'd be reaching out to Laura! She has a contagious warmth and energy and we were so grateful to have her photograph our wedding. Laura is a natural talent and her work is brilliant.

Laura and her team are fabulous and they are such troopers for hanging out in the 100+ degree heat all day! They truly made us feel so comfortable for both engagement photos and our wedding day, were so professional, and I can't thank Jenna and Austin enough! We received a preview of our photos while we were still on our honeymoon and the full gallery shortly after. They made sure to get all of the shots we requested and they turned out better than we had imagined. I could not have imagined a better photography team to work with!

Our wedding pictures were wonderful and we loved them so much, Laura got them back to us so quickly! Jenna and Laura were so great to work with throughout our wedding planning process and made things run very smooth. We had a hiccup during our day and she literally stopped everything to help us figure it out. 10/10 would recommend them to anyone looking for wedding photography!

Sophie literally made a playlist for our engagement shoot session with all of our favorite songs / artists (*tears*)! If I had any wedding questions throughout the entire process, I texted Laura! Questions about vendors to timelines all the way down to what my mother in law should wear 😂 Laura was always there to help! As for our pictures, they turned out better than we could have EVER expected - I can literally hear the laughter coming out of these photos. We will truly cherish them forever! My sister used Laura for her wedding and after seeing those photos there was no question who I was going to use for my big day! Laura and Meghan were the absolute BEST to work with! Laura was in constant communication with me every single step of the way. You can tell how much she values her brides and as someone who is a bit of a worrier I was relieved when Laura had every detail figured out for me. The engagement photos were fantastic and we loved working with Meghan. Day of the wedding I felt so at ease with Meghan and Austin, they took amazing photographs and really captured the day! My husband and I have said it over and over again since our wedding day.. Choosing Laura as our photographer was the BEST DECISION we made for our wedding!!! Before we had even seen a single photo, we were already so grateful to Laura, and her willingness to bear whatever weather came for the classic Iowa spring weather that day! It rained, snowed, sleeted, was windy and unpredictably cold for our late April wedding. Laura made sure we got every shot we wanted and much more in the little amount of time that our family and friends wanted to be out in the cold. Laura and her team were one of the top highlights of our wedding experience. From taking engagement photos, to discussing details and timelines, to the day of the wedding, Laura made the process enjoyable every step of the way. On the day of the wedding, Laura worked with weather complications and timeline adjustments, all while making us feel at ease. Our photos came back quickly and were better than I ever expected. We laughed and cried and relived the whole day. They will be forever cherished. There aren’t many things about planning a wedding that I’ll miss, but working with Laura is on the short list. When you think about your wedding day (or any special moment), it’s really important to consider who you want to be surrounded by, and your photographer is by your side the whole day. I honestly don’t know where to begin!! Laura and her team were absolutely everything my husband and I could’ve hoped for.. and more! Laura was incredibly helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process and helped us in many more ways than just photography. She helped us come up with the perfect timeline, connect with vendors, etc. She communicated frequently with us leading up to the wedding day & was so so easy to get ahold of when I had questions. My husband and I are both not very comfortable behind the camera, but I cannot even begin to describe how truly wonderful of an experience we had taking photos on our wedding day. Laura made us both feel extremely comfortable and relaxed. We were able to be very in the moment and often forgot that we were being photographed!! The photos we got back captured our day beautifully and included such a variety of photos. They were all amazing and we are so so so happy! We get to relive our wedding day for the rest of our lives! Laura is by far one of the most genuine, kind, and truly talented people we have ever met. My husband & I could tell that she cared so much about us and our day!! I cannot recommend Laura and her team enough. We will be using her for all of our professional photos going forward & we will be forever grateful to have had her a part of our day!!!

Where to start …. My fiancé and I booked our venue as the first thing when we started planning our wedding. It had a list of preferred vendors, including photographers, and this is where we found Laura. We spent the evening looking at the websites, social medias, and reviews of the ~10 photographers on the vendor list and after each one we kept coming back to Laura. Her pictures were beautiful, not overly posed, and not over edited or washed out. We could genuinely feel the emotions of the people in the photographs just by looking at them. We didn’t even bother with picking a second choice because we knew we had to have her photograph our wedding. Lucky for us, we reached out to her and she had availability for our date. This is also when we realized that not only are her photos beautiful, but Laura herself is a beautiful person inside and out. She exudes joy and excitement and it’s completely obvious how much she loves her job and cares for her clients. After booking she sent us a package in the mail that had some vow books, candy, and a ring cleaning pen that I still use all the time. It was incredibly thoughtful- which is another word to describe Laura as a person. We had conflicting schedules for trying to pick a day for engagement photos (I’m a full time student and we don’t live in DSM currently) and she made it work nonetheless so we could have them back in time to send out save the dates. She also helped us to create a schedule and timeline for our wedding day which helped so much with planning the rest. Since she has worked with a lot of other vendors in the DSM area, she gave us her honest opinions on other vendors, specifically catering and makeup artists. I really feel like she did so much to make sure it was a special day apart from just taking the pictures. She was also so responsive and communicative- in addition to email, in the months leading up to the wedding and wedding week we were on a texting basis. The day of she was SUCH a hype queen and navigated 4 little cranky girls and a complicated family situation for family portraits with ease and humor. Our wedding party and family loved her equally. Although reading her other reviews I am sure that she treats all her couples this way - she made us feel like her #1 priority and her #1 favorite couple and it just added so much to our day. I have friends who have felt very luke warm about their photographers and I’ve heard horror stories of people not getting their photos for months and months but I had not even slightly one concern with Laura. She feels like a friend now and someone I want to keep in my life forever for all of my big events to come. Lastly, her pictures not only met but blew every expectation we had out of the water. I was speechless looking at them and felt immediately back in that moment. I also typically don’t like pictures of myself and so I was nervous to see them but I felt so beautiful in these. I can’t thank her enough for what she has done for us. I would be remiss to not mention her speed too - we had 75 previews back 6 days after our wedding and the full gallery of over 1000 pictures exactly one month after. You can’t ask for more than that. If you have made it this far in this review I think it’s obvious that you have to book her, trust me she is worth every penny and more.

Laura and her crew are hands down the best photographers I have ever worked with! LWP does a magical job of capturing your most prized moments. Moments that are once in a lifetime are forever encapsulated in BEAUTIFUL photos. Laura + crew are caring, warm, loving, hysterical, and the right amount of seriousness. Their level of communication is hands-down the best in the wedding business. Weddings are their jam and you can tell! I forever will be obsessed and in love with our wedding photos. I'll never forget how I felt in those moments because LWP locked them into forever!

Honestly, I do not know how to put into writing how amazing Laura and her team are. The photos and the communication were unmatched. Not to mention, everyone that heard I had Laura as a photographer, said nothing but great and comforting things (as if we did not already know). Laura is PHENOMENAL. From the beginning of the planning process, Laura helped us establish a timeline that guided much of our planning. She was extremely organized in shot list preparation and understanding what we were looking for. When the weather didn't support our initial plans for outdoor photos, Laura was a calm and reassuring and had alternative recommendations and a plan that immediately reduced the stress. She scouted the venue and had excellent ideas and plans for our portraits, wedding party, and family photos that captured our beautiful venue. Laura brought the best energy to our day that made everyone feel at ease and allowed us to have fun - this helped us feel comfortable and her photos captured pure joy. Knowing that Laura was keeping us on schedule allowed us to enjoy ourselves and not worry about where we needed to be - we were relaxed and enjoyed spending the day with our friends and family. We could not recommend her more highly - hands down, she was the MVP of the weekend.

We got to see some sneak peeks a few days after our wedding, which made us so excited to see our final gallery. If you are looking for a wedding photographer, no need to look any further. When my husband and I began our search for wedding photographers, Laura immediately stood out from the rest. During our first phone call, we discussed not only prices, packages, etc but things we haven't even thought about before. She helped us make a timeline that made our day perfect (tweaked it a few times ;), suggested what to wear for our engagement photos, and even provided information on other great vendors to work with! Laura was always very responsive via email and Instagram and always answered any questions we had. Laura really is the best ever. Starting back to our first phone call, she helped guide us in every single way with not only photography, but wedding planning and details in general. Laura is willing to go above and beyond, and even flew out to our most favorite place ever, for our engagement pictures. Not only is Laura herself amazing, but her team, specifically Sophie, is just as amazing. Sophie made our entire wedding party feel comfortable on our wedding day, and it felt like a party the whole time working with her! We received our photos sooner than Laura quoted we would, and each of them are truly incredible. The main reason I chose Laura in the first place was the impression I got after just emailing with her. Her personality really shines through in just her writing and I knew from the start she would be awesome to work with. Being a younger bride I worried about being taken advantage of or looked at as foolish but Laura never made me feel that way and she was always so so good at responding quickly and professionally. My wedding was in Mexico which obviously required a little extra planning with her but she did everything she could to be there and she even stayed 5 days and was truly so fun to hangout with. My entire family loved her and she fit in so well. The day of went as flawlessly as you could imagine and I never worried once about the pictures because she was so prepared with what she wanted to do with us . My husband doesn't love taking pictures but he even said how comfortable he felt throughout. I think what makes Laura stand out however is how she went so above and beyond the entire wedding weekend and pulled out her camera and drone multiple times to capture our pool party, the wedding, and a sunrise photoshoot after the wedding. I have never heard of a photographer giving that much of their time other than the wedding day to make a gallery so unbelievably beautiful. When I got my pictures, earlier than she quoted I might add, we of course were completely in love with them. There were SO MANY PICTURES and I couldn't find a single one I didn't love. (and I am very picky about photography)!! Finding a favorite was impossible! Another cool thing about Laura was how into Instagram, TikTok, and Reels she was. I could see a lot of our pictures being created and made into all sorts of fun videos, which just continued to add to our special day!! 10/10 recommend and I wouldn't have changed a single thing about her!

From the first day that I talked to Laura, I knew that I made the best choice with having her be part of our wedding. When we received the full gallery I honestly screamed because they were so good. I cannot pick my favorite because I love them all so much. We are so lucky to have had Laura photograph our wedding day. She was so much fun to be around, everyone felt super comfortable around her which helped her capture the true emotions. We had rain the day of the wedding which caused us to arrive the morning of a little late, Laura acted quickly and updated the wedding photography timeline so we were still able to get all the photos we wanted. We got our previews and gallery back very quickly. We are so thankful to have these photos to look back on our day for years to come!

I met Laura shortly before she started her photography business. As she began, I saw her talent right away. As she continued in her work, I remember being wowed at the quality and creativity of her shots. I had always admired her work. I remember thinking, “If I ever get married, I’d love to have her be my photographer…” Fast forward quite a few years later to the night I got engaged. We were so excited! We decided to do a short engagement and that same night I thought, “I wonder if there is any chance Laura is available. Laura goes above and beyond what you would expect from a wedding photographer! She is incredibly joyful, and we had so much FUN with her - both for our engagement shoot (in which it was freezing and snowing), and on our wedding day (which was nothing like what we originally planned... thanks covid). She is such a good listener and made sure to capture specific shots/moments that were important to us. We had to change our plans last minute and ended up moving our wedding to an entirely different state -- but Laura was right on board and was willing to travel for our new plans, which means more than we could ever express to her. There’s no way to express how amazing Laura and her work is. We had worked with Laura before at other weddings and her work is beautiful, fun, romantic, adventurous, all the things!
