Lauren stepped in early on and provided some vendor referrals, answered questions, asked questions we hadn’t thought of and kept us on track with Planning. As the bride, leading up to our date, friends and family tend to ask “well are you stressed??... the big day is almost here!??” And my response was always, “not at all, I have an amazing coordinator who has taken the responsibility of all that stress and allowed me to enjoy the process!!!” I was calm, happy and most importantly EXCITED! Her calm and professional demeanor projected grace and deep breaths to me and the rest of our family on our big day. She was able to efficiently organize with last minute changes, prepare for unforeseen variables, adjust to quick requests that could otherwise be “problems” and ultimately work with a sense of urgency all while setting the tone of perfection.
We are forever grateful and blessed to have had Lauren coordinate our day and have enjoyed every moment of our time with her!

nator. Long story short, we hired her and she was absolutely amazing! Read below for the deets!
Initially we thought we could handle everything as we were planning a small nontraditional low budget ceremony in Dana Point followed by a backyard reception in San Juan Capistrano for 55 guests. As the wedding date neared, we quickly realized we were in over our heads. We didn't want to manage all the setup, and DIY projects on the day of the wedding or to be the ones having to give direction. That's when Lauren stepped in.
We chose the "day of" wedding coordinator package since we had booked almost all of our vendors and needed some assistance executing our overall vision. Early on we met with Lauren to discuss wedding details and scheduled a walk through at the ceremony and reception locations. Lauren took detailed notes and even suggested several great ideas such as utilizing a small gardening table as a water station which added such charm to the wedding! She also recorded a video walking through the backyard to remember where each table would be placed (i.e. food table, bar area, sweetheart table, etc.).
Communication with Lauren was so easy! She is so personable and easy to work with. She was extremely responsive via email, phone and text and was also very punctual. I remember going back and forth on a few details such as the wedding flowers and Lauren helped inspire me by sending over a document with photos of in-season flowers that would fit with our small backyard "garden" themed wedding. She is filled with so many great ideas and had a positive can-do attitude so we knew we were in great hands.
Lauren managed our wedding details through Planning Pod, a website where you can upload important documents such as permits and vendor contracts/invoices and see upcoming events on a calendar such as walk-throughs and payment due dates. It was free, user friendly and documents uploaded quickly. She even created a floor plan for our reception and an entire wedding timeline for all of our vendors. When it came to working with our vendors, Lauren reached out to them to finalize the day-of wedding timeline so we didn't have to.
On the day of the wedding, Lauren and I had a quick meeting/walk through at the reception location (where I was getting ready) to discuss what needed to be done. She was organized and had all the important contracts/invoices to ensure we received everything we ordered from each vendor. She immediately stepped in and began to work cutting fruit for the water station and directed people on what to do. She was professional and calm, cool and collected throughout the entire night. She even managed to run and grab more ice when we were running low! She had two assistants, Susan and Kali who were instrumental in helping setup the reception bar area, water station, dessert table and ensured the water and food was replenished all night.
After the reception ended, Lauren and her assistants cleaned up drink glasses, food, linens, etc., and placed them neatly and organized inside the house which hosted the reception. She walked me through where everything was and sent a follow up email confirming what we had discussed the next morning. We cannot stress enough how seamless everything went on our wedding day and we have Laurel & Fey to thank for that!

ended up with extra time to share champagne with my family while she took charge. Even though she was technically only our day of coordinator, Lauren was there from day one to answer my stressed out emails, always ready with a solution or a referral. She had plenty of helpful ideas but also made sure to listen to our vision for the wedding. There was an initial slight hiccup with our assigned coordinator, but Lauren personally took charge of the wedding. She is calm under pressure and made sure that everyone knew exactly where to be when. She even made sure my new hubby and I made it to our hotel at the end of the night. I honestly can't say enough good things about her! I'd definitely hire her and her team again!
