We could not have been happier with this venue!! Everything about it was perfect! The women’s lounge was the perfect place to get ready and they accommodated us with an early start time. The mens lounge wasn’t ready for our wedding so the guys didn’t have the best accommodations but it wasn’t horrible. Carly our planner was absolutely the best !! We could not have had the perfect day without her! She made the venue (which is already gorgeous) look amazing the day of and we completely trusted her make our vision come alive! I’m normally a control freak but had no issues passing over all control to Carly! She is so friendly, patient, and will answer all your questions timely (trust me haha)! We are so happy with our day and so happy we went with Laurel Oak! The food was good and staff was nice. We had an issue with one of the bartenders but we addressed this the night of with Carly. We also loved that everything was included with this venue so it limited the vendors we had to speak to which is HUGE plus when you’re wedding planning! I highly recommend this venue and Carly!

The food was phenomenal. The venue is absolutely beautiful! The staff is very engaged and very accommodating. They made the wedding fun and relaxing at the same time. The communication was exceptional.

Located in Sarasota, FL, Laurel Oak Country Club is an idyllic hidden gem. Host your wedding amongst the pristine lawns and lakes, indulging in the scorching Florida sun. The newly remodeled clubhouse offers a contemporary venue with stunning views of the property. With a choice of event spaces and accommodating, friendly staff, it is a hidden treasure in West Florida. Laurel Oak Country Club boasts two beautifully decorated event spaces to celebrate both your ceremony and reception. The Laurel Room has the capacity to host up to 250 guests. With a private bar and patio space under the porte cochere, you and your guests can enjoy the privacy of having the entire space to yourself. The Garden room is also available for hire. With the capacity to accommodate up to 200 guests, the space can also be divided for a more intimate, low-key affair. If you are planning a lavish event, you can combine both rooms for a capacity of 400 guests. The property offers a plethora of iconic photo opportunities, so take your photographer through the grounds to find some memorable locations. Along with weddings, Laurel Park Country Club also hosts a number of wedding-related events, including rehearsal dinners, pre-wedding parties, and engagement parties. The wonderful staff will also be on hand to assist you in any way you need to ensure a seamless event. They can take care of set-up, coordination, valet parking, and cleanup once the celebration is over. The wedding contact, Brittney Szelag, is happy to answer any questions that couples may have. Catering is also available on-site, and the culinary team provides a plated dinner package, which you and your partner are free to choose from.

Don't say waste your time with a staff that doesn't care about you or your time. You will be nothing but a burden for them and their venue. Please avoid for your own sanity.

There was MULTIPLE issues we had during our reception, and in the contract it states that we would’ve had a golf cart to use for pictures etc. My husband & I had to walk up the hills to take pictures (IN MY HEELS) , mind you, that set us back about 45 mins into the reception where people were starting to get hungry. Every vendor was getting so upset with the coordinator. During the reception, she (coordinator) was no where to be found. The morning after, I went to pick up all of my stuff, and there were so many of my items gone, ALONG WITH ALL OF MY FLOWERS!!! I had a beautiful cascade, a beautiful floral piece that was on the arch, that was suppose to be transferred to the sweet heart table, GONE. The staff sucked at timing—no one knew the cake was cut, the cake wasn’t served at all to anyone. They had to get up theirselves to grab a piece. I can’t even look at my pictures without getting upset because I had plans to preserve them, and I will never have that happen. $3000 worth of flowers, GONE. Right before the send off, we had a few family members try and help grab all the stuff that was ours but the coordinator kept rushing everyone out the door. I mean, how disrespectful is that!? I understand people want to go home, but have a little bit of sympathy. There was NONE. It’s such a beautiful place to get married at, very high end… and we were treated so bad. So all in all, I would not recommend getting married here, just because how we were treated.

I feel as if we were promised a lot from this venue and it all fell to shambles the day before and day of my wedding. Poor communication from staff and having my planner changed in...

the middle of the planning process. Staff giving us attitude and having to tip them $20's to get them to help us. The list truly goes on and on. I would definitely stay clear if you want to avoid last minute issues here.

to our day. She knew exactly what to ask to get all of our details recorded. She was diligent, organized, and communicated everything to us in a way that limited all stress and was very transparent. Especially having a wedding in the midst of covid, and having to push it, Chelsea could not have been better with the management of it all. On the day of, Priscilla was invaluable. She always seemed to be there to step in the second I needed her. Her eye for decor and little touches really made our wedding as beautiful as it was. Do not have your day without her. Overall, I have no regrets choosing Laurel Oak for our wedding and can think of nothing negative to say about our experience.
