My passion for photography and weddings began when I was very young. I staged Barbie weddings, making their dresses from Kleenex, then snuck Mom’s camera to take pictures of them. I moved on to dressing up my little sister in a pillowcase veil, again sneaking Mom’s camera. When she got tired of me using up all her film, she brought home several Bride magazines from the free pile at the library and I spend hours reading them, then pinning pages of beautiful wedding dresses on the ceiling of my bedroom. When “The Wedding Planner” came out in 2001, my fate was sealed. Two years ago my mom took me on a girls trip to Galena. She hauled an Aldi shopping bag all over town while we shopped, then at lunch pulled out a present for me--Dream Wedding Barbie--and took a picture of me crying over it. Full circle. Present day, I am a beetle driving, dog loving home school Mom. I spend my weekends on weddings and my week days shooting Engagement, Family, Senior, Newborn and Maternity sessions. I want to get to work with you for life, so get ready for a new best friend who just wants to follow you around with her camera! I am very excited to be doing more destination weddings. I have a bucket list of locations where I would love to shoot a wedding or elopement. If you are getting married at any of the locations on my list I will be stoked to hear from you! We had the pleasure of working with Kate, Lauren and Jenna for our engagement pictures and our wedding! These ladies REALLY know how to hype you up on your special day, capture all of the important moments and be ready to roll with the flow but also keep everything going the way it needs to! One of my favorite things about booking with Laurel Tree Photography is the sense of friendship I felt between them - I messaged Lauren MORE than a few times just to get some opinions on stuff since she knew my vision and she was always SUCH a pleasure to work with. I absolutely had a BLAST working with these girls and 100% recommend them! It's also amazing to see how each of their strengths reflects in their pictures! Each one has such an eye for making your dreams come true. I felt like an absolute goddess my wedding day and seeing myself through their lenses is just.. I can't say enough good things about them! Also they ABOVE AND BEYOND delivered photos to us. So many amazing ones to choose from!

Lauren is an absolute GEM to work with! She is so kind and creative and absolutely put my husband and I at ease in front of the camera during our first session with her. I live in a different state than where I got married and Lauren made the process so easy with video calls and was super responsive to every message I sent her. She was very timely in getting our photos back to us and produced the best quality photos. Our day went off without a hitch and Lauren did an incredible job capturing all of it!

Lauren is absolutely amazing to work with! She is so professional but yet, still so fun and outgoing at the same time! She is always up for new ideas and will always bring your ideas to life! Our wedding album is by far my favorite photos I’ve ever had taken, not only because they’re amazing but because they are everything I wanted and more! Lauren makes your day so special!

I cannot say enough great things about Lauren. Not only is she an incredibly talented photographer, she has a glowing personality that you can easily see through her shots! So personable and flexible with times, outfits, requests for poses. She really takes who you are as people into account for your photos. No run-of-the-mill stock poses here! Lauren is the person to pick if you want stunning shots that really portray the love that’s uniquely yours.
