Laurelyn Savannah Photography

We found Laurelyn through photos she'd taken of another wedding at our venue, the Schlitz Audubon Center in Milwaukee. Her images won us over on our venue, so we knew we wanted to book her to capture our wedding day. From the beginning, Laurelyn was easy to work with and made us feel like we were in such good hands. She traveled down to Chicago, where we live, to take our engagement photos—and even brought us a bottle of wine! The engagement session gave us a chance to practice poses, and Laurelyn was a natural at giving clear direction and helping us laugh along the way. Months later, as our wedding day was approaching, Laurelyn helped me pull together a timeline for the day—something that was not required of her nor was technically her job. We was so incredibly grateful that she was willing to go the extra mile to help us out with that aspect of the planning process. She even attended the final venue walk-through with my mom and wedding planner to scope out prime spots for photos. When you book with Laurelyn, you're not just getting a photographer who shows up on your big day—you're getting someone who truly cares about the process and is willing to go above and beyond for her clients. When our wedding day rolled around, Laurelyn and her assistant were there every step of the way—from getting ready in the morning to hitting the dance floor that evening. She's calm and collected, which totally rubbed off on the bridal party and our immediate family, allowing us to feel like we could really enjoy our day. We knew she was in the background catching every single special moment and detail. We recently got our photos back and we're so over the moon with her view of our wedding day. She was able to capture elements of our wedding that we didn't even get a chance to see. Beyond that, she made us look and feel amazing. For my husband and I, photos were one of the most important pieces of the puzzle, and looking back, I honestly can't imagine going with anyone other than Laurelyn. my worries. From weather on a possible engagement picture day to stressing about the timeline she was comforting with her level of experience and personality. While on the wedding day she took charge and told everyone what to do or where to be which helped me relax. I loved our engagement pictures, there are so beautiful to show off to others. At our engagement session she caught so many moments we were just smiling, laughing, and being ourselves. When I suggested a location through a picture she knew the park's name and had previous shot there. At out wedding again she captured so many candid shots that we will cherish. She remembered every picture I had on my must list, more than I remembered. Laurelyn knew I was concerned with the timeline and the first look; she quickly and adequately got beautiful shots, we were actually early to the ceremony! During the ceremony she was out of sight but got beautiful shots. After she took charge and got all of the family shots so they could enjoy cocktail hour. During the bridal party shots she listened to suggestions from me and the bridal party. Words cannot describe how impressed I am with our pictures! Everyone has complimented Laurelyn and asked for copies of pictures. The pictures are everything I could ask for and more. Laurelyn has such an artistic eye she caught so many breath taking pictures. We did go ahead and get a second photographer. Our family had questions about who the second person would be and I wasn't sure about that process because I didn't ask Laurelyn I trusted her. When I meet the second photographer (female), she was hired to shoot one of the groomsmen' wedding! The second photographer was a great second to Laurelyn. I would and will recommend Laurelyn to everyone! We cannot wait to use her in the future when we have a family.

They really paid attention to all of the details that went into our special day and made our interaction with them feel very personal. The reason I picked Laurelyn in the first place was because of her interesting perspective and innovative way of documenting such a huge, life-changing event.
