This was a destination, multi-day wedding, and Lauren went so far beyond the role of photographer that it’s hard to put into words. Her ability to speak Italian was an absolute lifesaver. She seamlessly communicated with vendors, venues, and locals, helped coordinate guests and timelines, and stepped in whenever something needed organizing. In moments where things could have felt stressful or chaotic, Lauren brought calm, clarity, and solutions. She is also one of the hardest-working professionals I’ve ever encountered. Because of her energy, flexibility, and generosity, I was able to offer my guests mini photo shoot sessions throughout Italy which was something that made the trip unforgettable for everyone. One couple even got engaged during the trip, and Lauren captured it beautifully. Those moments alone were priceless. Beyond her incredible talent behind the camera, Lauren is kind, intuitive, and genuinely invested in the people she works with. She didn’t just document our engagement and wedding; she elevated the entire experience for us and our guests. and went far beyond the job description of photographer. The resources and advice she gave us were helpful from everything from finding our other vendors to making a day-of timeline. It was very important to us to find a photographer we felt comfortable since we would be spending a lot of time with them day of and wanted to be able to enjoy the experience as well as look relaxed in front of the camera, and we certainly found that with Lauren!! She gave us the perfect amount of prompts/guidance to help us break out of our shells and get good photos but still feel very natural and ~us~. She had scouted our location ahead of time, so she was able to efficiently take us between the best backdrops. We got married on our undergrad campus and thought we knew it pretty well, but one of the building backdrops she chose was something I’d never noticed before so we certainly benefitted from her artistic eye! I was amazed at how patiently and effectively she corralled our family members for portraits, which was like herding cats under time pressure – but she got it done and the photos turned out gorgeous! Similarly, we wanted a group shot of us with all our guests and she made it happen seamlessly and kept it fun (one of my guests commented afterwards “your photographer is so cool!”) She sent us sneak peeks MUCH more quickly than I was expecting, which were so fun to go through on our honeymoon! When we got our full gallery back (also in record time!), I was absolutely floored by how gorgeous her photography is. The way different she used different lighting throughout the day and in different settings to convey different moods is incredible. The photos turned out better than I ever imagined, and it is so wonderful to have them capture the memories and feelings so well and to get a glimpse of guest reactions and moments that I didn’t catch day of! We didn’t anticipate ordering a wedding album but now are 100% going to, because the photos are that high quality and make us feel like models and we want to look at them all the time and show them off to everyone ;P THANK YOU LAUREN!
