Photographer. My husband and I have always considered ourselves not photogenic and never know what the hell to do in pictures so we tend to dread any kind of picture events. Well, we obviously wanted to remember our wedding day forever so we had to get over that— Lauren is the reason we were able to get over that. I’ve had so many people tell me they felt like they just posed for pictures their entire wedding day and our experience was the opposite. While we did capture the posed pictures we wanted, we felt like we were fully present on our wedding day able to enjoy all aspects of it while Lauren was there capturing the whole thing without us feeling like we constantly had to pose. We loved her style, her way of telling us what to do and how to do it and obviously the outcome of the most cherished photos from our special day. xible nature made us feel so at ease. Lauren was a tireless trooper on the day of the shoot, exploring multiple locations with us in the Brooklyn area. It was really special to see how passionate she is for photography, using multiple camera lenses to play with light, and capturing so many special moments between my fiancé and I, and our dog Charlie. so long researching photographers to find the right one and am so happy we finally found Lauren. Lauren made the entire process from engagement photoshoot to wedding day so fun and relaxed. I was really nervous for our engagement photos because it was the first time that my husband and I were taking any kind of professional photos and I was so worried we’d end up looking so stiff and awkward. But Lauren worked her magic and the photos came back better than I could have ever dreamed. We did a mix of the more classic engagement photos and the more trendy full flash photos and I am absolutely obsessed with all of them. Lauren came up with so many great ideas and locations and was also so receptive to anything that we specifically wanted to incorporate (which included a full photoshoot in a dive bar in SF :)). I don’t know how Lauren did it, but the pictures turned out so much cooler than I could have ever expected. And Lauren was a DREAM on our wedding day! She is so calm and organized and makes sure to get all pictures done so quickly, but you never feel rushed. Lauren is also somehow everywhere the entire day. You spend a lot of time with your photographer on your wedding day and I am so so so thankful that Lauren was who I got to spend so much time with. She is kind, calm and fun and that made such a big difference on the entire vibe of the day for me. Lauren got us our pictures back SO FAST after our wedding! We got the gallery while still on our honeymoon and it was so magical to be able to relive the wedding day so soon. And I knew I’d love the pictures because I was so happy with our engagement photos, but they wedding pictures still exceeded my expectations. I could not be happier with them!!!!!! To say I am obsessed with Lauren is an understatement. I’m already trying to think of reasons to book more photo shoots in the future.

I am a very type A person and when I say after meeting once she knew my exact style and nailed it without me having to say a word, I mean it. I get chills from some of the photos months later. I only leave reviews for things when I'm blown away - Lauren will capture your day better than anyone. Lauren, you and your team are amazing!

day where she captures everything while sticking to your timeline. She’s professional, calm, friendly, patient and has a great eye to get the perfect shots - all while having fun. Her response time to emails, even during busy seasons, was impressive. As a bride who is busy planning, it’s definitely appreciated to get quick replies as you try to nail down the details. Lauren goes above and beyond by sharing ideas for design closer to the day - what you might want included in details shots, or other ideas for what could be memorable to capture on your day (i.e. bride and groom photos at sunset). She worked with us to develop a shot list and captured everything we requested - and more. We loved her attention to detail. The results? I couldn’t possibly choose my favorite photo because Lauren perfectly captured every moment of our day - posed formals, candid, details, and everything in between. She shared sneak peaks with us in the days following the wedding so we had a handful to hold us over until the full gallery was shared (which was also a quick turn, in my opinion). She’s incredible! She shot both digital photos and with film, giving us a portfolio that took our breath away (I haven’t been able to stop looking at the pictures, and I doubt I ever will!). Lauren arrived early to the venue on the day of our wedding in order to find good places for photos, and researched the sunset time and locations close to our venue months in advance. She was lighthearted and gave a lot of direction for how to pose, which helped us feel more confident. Having a Lauren Lee wedding was one of the best decisions we made, and led to a stress-free day that we can remember forever through stunning photos. Plus, we got our photos back extremely fast and without a hassle. Lauren is the best!!

I was super impressed during the engagement shoot and the wedding at how much she paid attention to the scenery in order to make sure we got the best photos possible. My grandmother used to be a commercial artist, and she couldn't stop commenting an how much of an artist Lauren is. As if this wasn't enough to sell you on Lauren, we were astounded at how quickly she got all of our pictures to us. We had our preview gallery from our wedding, which contained over 100 of Lauren's favorite pictures, 48 HOURS after our wedding. Our full album arrived only two and half weeks after our wedding. This was great, since both my parents' birthdays and Father's Day, occurred shortly after our wedding, which allowed me to order some canvas prints for them to celebrate these occasions. ALSO!!! Lauren gives you a very helpful magazine to help you prepare for your big day and make the decisions that need to get made. Please consider hiring Lauren to take your wedding photos!!! Her work is worth every penny.

Luckily, she had shot a wedding there before and was quickly able to send me over some pictures to look at. She was always so prompt and professional anytime I emailed her a question or concern I may have had. Fast forward to our engagement session. and how colorful everything looked. She did an engagement shoot with us and our wedding photos. The engagement shoot was way more fun than I anticipated. I thought it would be awkward because my husband is kind of reserved and quiet, but Lauren made him very comfortable and before long we were acting natural and having a good time. The photos themselves- stunning. Looking at our engagement photos was the first moment my husband started to get really excited about the wedding planning process. Lauren really 'got' us in the photos. We looked like us. And so happy and in love. We used pictures from that shoot on our Save the Dates, Invites, and Wedding Programs. They were so well done and fit beautifully with our theme! Fast forward to the big day. Lauren helped keep us on track with the timeline we put together. Part of that time frame included shooting some of the special details of the ceremony and wedding. We had a really involved theme (bookish/literary), and she absolutely captured it. It was so much fun going back through all the photos after we received our full library of wedding pictures to see what she captured and how she did it. Let me tell you, she didn't miss a thing. Our bridal party photos were so playful and fun. She captured moments of the day we didn't get to see ourselves, like this heartwarming photo of my husband's grandfather smiling at my husband right before I walked down the aisle. She helped stage a photobomb by my dad (a tradition) and so many other fun (but not cheesy) shots. But most importantly, she captured the emotion of the day. She was there when my brother saw me in my dress for the first time, and caught that look. She was there when my bridesmaids saw me the first time and caught it. And my mom too. None of those were planned by me, but as they happened she was there and ready. She caught the first moment my husband saw me during our first look. Seeing it gave me chills. It is absolutely priceless. She coordinated our sparkler send off to movie-still-esque results. She and her assistant were never in the way or obnoxious like some photographers. They were nearly invisible day of. How she shot some of the photos, I will never know. I had a lot of dark flowers in my bouquet and was a little apprehensive about how clear they would show up in photos (as they didn't show up well on my phone), but each picture of my bouquet is striking and crisp. So many of our photos look like paintings! She had a vision from the moment she surveyed our venue. Our venue had a decorated swing and the photos she took of us on it are magical. She utilized the glow of the sunset and knew what lighting would catch my gray wedding dress and my husband's burgundy tux beautifully. She has an incredible eye. Her artistry is unparalleled and I have been to my fair share of weddings. We got our photos back less than a month after getting married. We stayed up until 3am looking at each picture and going back over every memory. She captured each moment of the day and how it felt to be there. I am so glad we found her. It was an honor to have her and her assistant at our special day.
