Lauren is hands down, without a doubt, the best photographer we could have asked for to document our wedding day. From the very start of our wedding planning process, working with Lauren was a breeze. She is kind, communicative, timely, informative of her process, and incredibly fun! She is easy going and so creative during shoots; all of which helped us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. She also has a fantastic team around her for additional photography and videography. Equally as fun, kind, and knowledgeable of their work, we're beyond grateful they were all there to help us record the best day of our lives. Truly, we cannot recommend Lauren and her team enough!

We hired Lauren for our wedding in La Jolla and we are so glad we did! She was great to work with from the beginning. She answered all of our questions and helped us pick which package worked best for us. On the day of the wedding, she was so helpful and attentive. She made sure everything ran smoothly and we got all the pictures we wanted. She sent us a sneak peek less than a week after the wedding & we got all the pictures back in a very timely manner. The pictures themselves are absolutely beautiful! She did amazing work and really captured the day in a perfect way. We are so happy we hired her and highly recommend her for your event!

Lauren was super fun to work with! She was so organized throughout the planning process, helping us with timelines and shot lists. She also did a great job of keeping us on track during our wedding day and adjusting to any last minute changes to our timeline as needed! When we got engaged, my husband and I knew that a good photographer was the first vendor we wanted to select. We had a very high bar, especially knowing we weren’t going to have a videographer. We fell in love with Lauren’s work based on what we saw online, and from the first time we talked to her, she made us feel so comfortable! Neither of us have had professional photos done before, and we were both so nervous. Lauren made the process seamless and honestly, so very fun! The photos perfectly capture our personalities and love. Lauren was communicative, easy to work with, and just has the highest quality of work. We look back on our photos daily and have gotten SO many compliments on them. We would hire her again in a heartbeat. Thank you Lauren for everything!

Lauren was the absolute BEST to work with. She made our wedding day run so smoothly, and somehow seemed to be everywhere all at once while also not having photos distract us from being present and celebrating. We cannot recommend her enough, and someone planning their wedding would be missing out if they didn’t book her. We found her because she was one of the photographers recommended by our venue The Old Rancho, and after we FaceTimed with her and booked her, we learned that she literally did the photos on the brochure too! She did a great job during our engagement shoot- apparently right before a major back surgery, but you wouldn’t have known it because she was so committed to giving us a great experience. We were a little awkward at first and she knew how to give us different instructions for both specific beautiful poses, and for how to have more candid shots together. We got an amazing number of compliments on our engagement shoot and we can’t wait to see how the wedding shots turned out! If you can get on her calendar, book Lauren!!!!

Anita & Jen were AMAZING day of photographers! They were so easy and fun to work with, which was great for my husband and I since we both are not used to being in front of a camera. Additionally, not only did the photos turn out great, but Anita, Jen and Lauren were extremely helpful when I found out that my bouquet was lost. They jumped right in to see how they could help by tracking the last picture with my bouquet and even going as far as offering to check the venue - the level of care they have for their clients is unmatched. Lauren was extremely communicative and helpful for the whole planning process and did such an amazing job editing the photos! Lauren is fantastic! From our initial phone call to saying goodbye on our wedding night, she has been kind, helpful, personable, organized, and placed the needs of the bride and groom as highest priority. A friend of ours hired Lauren to do their wedding photos... we had so much fun with her taking pics of our group that Lauren was one of my first calls when my husband and I decided to get married. I knew she would be a great choice for our wedding photography, and we were right. I really appreciated the packages that she offered - the value was very high and it was great to get the exact hours of coverage we wanted. She was punctual, communicative, helpful, and captured some really fun shots. Lauren is amazing! My sister actually had Lauren photograph her wedding, so when it was time to plan mine, it was an easy choice to stick with Lauren. We did the engagement photos and wedding with her. My husband and I were very comfortable with her. She made it easy to have fun in front of the camera. She was also very quick in getting us sneak peaks of both sessions. Loved having Lauren capture these special moments. I still get so excited looking over the photos she took months ago because they were so good.

Lauren is literally the BEST! We booked her for both our engagement and wedding photos, and not only is she an amazing photographer she is also such a wonderful human. She has a very calm presence about her that is very reassuring. My husband and I both get very awkward in front of a camera, but Lauren instantly made us feel confident and comfortable! Lauren is literally the best. Our sneak peak photos just got back to us and we are so excited for our album. She had such great ideas during the photoshoot, she communicated the entire time and also, her sense of humor was the cherry on top. While we were taking our wedding photos being all serious, there were also so much laughter that came along with it. I'd recommend Lauren to anyone. :)

We hired Lauren for our wedding photography, as well as her husband for our videography. Lauren was extremely easy to work with and responsive. My husband and I are both very uncomfortable in front of the camera and need a lot of coaching. Lauren was sweet and soft spoken, and at first, I was worried she would not be assertive enough in telling us what to do and how to pose since we need a lot of help. Once she got started, it was clear that she knew exactly what she was doing. She knew exactly how to pose and position us in the optima angles and lighting. She is truly a pro. We felt so comfortable with her and she made us feel so at ease. Our guests and wedding party had only great thing to say about their interactions with Lauren. I would not hesitate to book her for your photography and videography needs. The photos and video came back timely and were better than we could have asked for.

Lauren was such an awesome photographer to work with! We booked Lauren for both our wedding and an engagement photo shoot because we wanted to be able to feel comfortable in front of the camera before the big day. She made us feel at ease and captured many amazing moments! Our photos look fantastic and are very “us.” We also have great photos of guests, which we’ve loved to share! I already know the photos will be beautiful. Aside from Lauren’s obvious talent, she is a gem of a human being. I was so stressed the day of my wedding, due to so many events leading up to it, but Lauren was so calm and kind and reassuring. Incredibly sweet and enjoyable to work with. I had the pleasure of collaborating with Lauren on a wedding at a private estate. Lauren was our photographer for our 9/9/2022 wedding. The weather was not what we expected, but she was able to get some great shots out in the rain. We initially had plans to get some beach photos and then go to another area, but she was prepared with alternative locations due to the weather. She is creative and had us take some fun photos and we received our sneak peeks quickly. We are very excited to see how the remaining pictures turned out.

Lauren and Toby were a dream team the day of our wedding. We had a great time shooting with them and they put us at ease on our big day. She handled all our family picture mishaps seamlessly. Picking Lauren to be our photographer was an easy choice and I would do it all over again.

We haven’t had our wedding yet, but just got sneak peeks of our engagement shoot with Lauren. First off, leading up to our shoot, Lauren was so wonderful with communication, answering all my questions promptly and kindly. At our shoot, she made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and helped us to get into poses that were flattering but not overly staged. We did our shoot at the beach on the WINDIEST day, and I was so nervous that with all the wind I wouldn’t like any of the shots, but even just the previews she sent were stunning! So excited we have someone with her talent and congeniality to photograph our wedding!

Lauren was absolutely amazing. She captured all the love on our wedding day. So many beautiful photos and she was so professional and on it! I have a big family and she was able to keep us all on track and focused! On top of it, she was so sweet! If I ever have any photographer needs, I'm calling her! First, just WOW! Lauren was by far the best choice we made for our big day. From the beginning she was responsive to my millions of questions, quick on addressing any concerns, receptive to ideas but also creative in supplying her own. She made us feel like absolute rock stars and cannot thank her enough for capturing all of our special moments. Lauren went out of her way to snag photos from all angles (deep in the bushes people!) and showed up early which is always a concern when sticking tight to a timeline, but she was there and ready and willing! Lauren's style was really cool too. Her photos of us caught some posed, some candid and every where in between. It was really special some of the moments she captured with my husband and I as she didn't make us feel like she was intruding on our moment, rather just a hidden camera capturing us in our element. Also, one of the COOLEST things?! We had HIGHLIGHTs within hours of our event. We didn't have to wait weeks for the sneak peeks, we legit crawled into bed exhausted from our day to find a cute email saying, here are some sneak peaks, and by some I mean 30ish! It was AWESOME! Then I could really feel like I got to see from other's eyes. She did a phenomenal job and when I say I will use her again for some other photo worthy event, I mean it. BOOK HER. Prices were very fair and I got just under 800 photos for 6 hours of work. Like incredible. It was hard to choose photos to show case because I loved them all! We didn't do a traditional wedding nor wedding party, so really Lauren was able to capture the essence of a lot of the elements without making it feel too staged. We loved her. Thank you Lauren!! P.S. The editing that she does on the photos in my opinion don't make you feel fake and truly I appreciate that, quality and unique at the same time! Thank you!!

Lauren was an absolute blast to work with for our wedding! She showed up early to scope out the best spots to take different sets of photos and helped us plan our first look. Her originality was amazingly helpful in deciding on what to do, and her dedication to her work could be seen throughout the day. Lauren was our wedding photographer, and she captured all our love story beautifully. Leading up to our wedding, Lauren was very communicative and made me feel comfortable as an anxious upcoming bride. Lauren arrived at our venue early and immediately began filming “details” shots while the bridal party was getting ready. Once the family portraits and bridal party portraits began, she took charge (in a positive way!) to ensure that we were getting all the shots we needed and that we were sticking to our timeline. Following the wedding, we received a photo “teaser” and our entire photo gallery in a timely manner which we could not wait to share with family and friends who agree that Lauren is very talented! My [now] husband and I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to be photographed by Lauren.

Lauren is amazing. She did our engagement shoot and was the photographer for our wedding. I have already recommended her to multiple people and they all had great experiences with her. She was so much fun to have as our photographer and the photos are beautiful. Having Lauren as our photographer for our wedding was just was the best decision we ever made! Like the reviews say she will definitely make you feel so comfortable! She’s so sweet and she makes magic happen with every picture she captures!

My husband and I were really happy with Lauren. Not having had a chance to meet her in person prior to our wedding day, she made us feel so comfortable and captured the most dreamy and memorable photos. We cannot thank her enough for capturing our special day and helping us feel at ease, not having to worry about a thing, and delivering such amazing photos!

I don't have enough wonderful things to say about Lauren. As a photographer, as a person, as a businesswoman - she is fantastic! She never seemed intrusive during our wedding, yet she managed to capture all of the best and most intimate moments with all of our favorite people. She arrived early as I was still getting my hair and makeup done, so she just scoped out the property to find great places as backdrops and captured little details. She kept the wedding party (a wild bunch) laughing and involved, which we truly appreciated. As if her wonderful personality on the big day wasn't enough , once we got the photos - HOLY CRAP! She's a magician. She captured everything I wanted and more and the photos are stunning. I told my husband it's all downhill from here. She was also quick to reply to our emails (check your spam folder if you're not seeing them) and the turnaround time for photos was exactly as she promised (3 weeks - though she gave us a couple ones early). If you're able to book her, DO IT. You won't regret it.

Lauren is one of the first vendors we hired. From the outset we loved her photos and found her to be super personable. She was not pushy at all and was flexible in terms of customizations to her packages based on what was most important for us. We found her to be more affordable than most photographers in the area. Her communication and flexibility was appreciated throughout the planning process (especially when we were planning a CA wedding from NYC) and the day of the wedding. The second photographer was her husband Toby, he also shot our engagement session (the day before the wedding), he was also personable and great to work with! The day of the wedding, we had some transportation issues that pushed back our photo timelines. She made sure she could fit in all of her shots without being pushy, and was efficient, so that we could get back to the party! We haven’t received all the photos yet, but received a few teasers a few days after the wedding which were beautiful, we are looking forward to seeing all of our photos! Thank you!

I hired Lauren for our wedding in November 2022 and we met her last weekend for our engagement shoot. I was really nervous about being in front of the camera, but Lauren took the lead and did such a great job of making the experience fun and easy! Looking forward to working with her more!

Love love love Lauren's work. I got married in San Diego on November 5, 2020, and the planning process for the whole wedding was hectic! I found Focus on Love Photography while scrolling through SO many photographer listings on The Knot. I hesitantly reached out to learn more, and I'm so glad I did! Lauren is so sweet and fantastic at her profession. Communication with her was prompt and efficient, she collaborated with my wedding coordinator while keeping me in the loop, and she addressed all of my concerns. On the day of, she and her second shooter (her wonderful husband) arrived early to scout and set up potential photo scenes. Lauren was like a fly on a wall - she took amazing shots while being non-intrusive! During the ceremony I don't remember even SEEING Lauren - She's that good (and I was probably too excited to notice). After she guided us to an impromptu photo shoot by the ocean, which turned out AMAZING. Even with the caution of distance and Covid19, she was able to gently guide us through poses and positions that turned out beautiful. For the Reception, Lauren kept checking in to make sure she covered all the scenes and poses that we wanted. We even had to make sure she took a break to eat - She's so dedicated! At the end of the night, she made sure to check in before leaving to ensure there was nothing else we missed. That was so wonderful of her. Overall Focus on Love Photography was professional, attentive, and wonderful! We received sneak peeks the NIGHT OF the wedding, and promptly received our portfolio of photos in a timely manner. Lauren was one of my favorite people to work with leading up to and during my wedding. She is just what you need when everything starts to get stressful in planning a wedding. There was a certain level of uncertainty planning a COVID wedding and I can't say enough about how easy it was to work with her through any changes in plans. From the initial call, to first meeting for our engagement photos, to having Lauren with us to capture our Wedding Day... I was so impressed with her ability to make us feel comfortable while capturing each moment and our individual styles PERFECTLY. (Toby was great, too!) She was helpful with all of my questions along the way and provided guidance as appropriate but my favorite part is that her calm demeanor allows you to enjoy the day and forget she is there until you see your photos and realize she had the perfect vantage point the whole time. We have received (unprompted!) compliments from our friends and family who recognized and appreciated Lauren's polite professionalism and how she and Toby helped everyone feel comfortable in the spotlight during our Wedding ceremony and reception.

I absolutely recommend Focus on Love Photography! Our local San Diego engagement photos are amazing! Lauren is such a great person to work with. She was able to take two people who are typically awkward in front of the camera and create some truly amazing memories for us. She did a great job working with the location (Sunset Seat and Torrey Pines State Beach) as well! The photos are dynamic and really highlight the natural back drop. Lauren was also very accommodating to our changing schedule and changing location! Lauren is wonderful! Even during the covid she was masked ready to go and professional! She took our engagement photos at sunset cliffs! She knew exactly where to stand to get beautiful shots of us and the scenery. She also helped us out a little bit and told us how to pose. My fiancé and I are a little awkward but she made us feel 1000% comfortable. My fiancé and Lauren planned the proposal so it could be a beautiful experience for me! She gave us some pics right after to send to friends and family and then sooooo many edited to perfection after! Book her you won’t regret it!!!

Focus on Love Photography is great! I was nervous to be getting married during these strange COVID times, but Lauren was able to ease my mind! We had to change our date and she was very flexible. She is a great communicator, helped me with my timeline (even more than my coordinator did!!) and most importantly - we LOVE LOVE LOVE our photos! Lauren was amazing! Throughout the entire wedding planning process, I found myself relying on Lauren to answer majority of my wedding planning questions! I absolutely loved having Lauren as our wedding reception photographer. She responds quickly which was helpful for smoothing out details beforehand. She has a great fun vibe that makes her blend right into the party! **What I know brides care most about - Lauren delivered four sneak peek photos THAT NIGHT and ALL of our photos within two weeks of our event!!!** * Lauren made sure we got all the photos and poses I had requested but was also creative and fun directing us to do additional poses that we LOVED! * Lauren was incredibly flexible - we pulled her in so many directions and she worked with any location, lighting or number of people we threw at her! * Lauren was GREAT with lighting! Night time, sunsets and low lighting -- especially with high energy events -- are hard to capture. Lauren did a phenomenal job, she is truly a talented photographer. I will say that the colors in the portfolio photos are almost all crisp, clear and bright. Our photos include more that are a muted palette but still with good contrast that is artsy and beautiful, but good to be aware of. Likewise most of our portrait photos turned out being wider shots, rather than as many closeups as on the portfolio. Just another point to be aware of. Overall Lauren did a phenomenal job capturing our fun, gorgeous, romantic evening. I would absolutely request her again!

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Lauren for our one year anniversary photos. We originally had a family member take our engagement photos and I just wasn't in love with them. I can't speak highly enough about her professionalism, creativity and ability to capture such beautiful moments on film.
