I cannot imagine having booked any photographer other than Lauren Spinelli for my wedding. My husband and I found her after weeks of looking at portfolios that seemed so washed out. The photos were beautiful, but they weren’t “us.” We wanted bright, lively, candid, colorful photos – and that’s exactly what Lauren delivered. She was a joy to work with during planning and brought so much energy and fun the day of the wedding. If you’re thinking about booking her, don’t hesitate – just do it. She really made our day everything we’d ever dreamed of, and the photos reflect that – they are so happy and fun and full of life. We will forever treasure them.

Working with Lauren was an absolute dream! From our first zoom chat to the wedding day, Lauren was so communicative and organized. She helped share clear details on what to expect every step of the day and created the most comprehensive day of schedule that helped make the day run so smoothly. Not only did Lauren create the most calm, organized atmosphere, but she has the most beautiful photography style. It is the exact editorial, luxury wedding photos we had hoped for. There is SOOOO much to say about Lauren aka L.Spinel. Working with lauren was a dream come true. First she was our photographer, then our friend and now family. Ryan and I had met with several photographers before meeting with lauren and it just didn’t feel right. After our intro call/zoom with lauren we knew she was the right the fit. Lauren takes the time to get to know couples, make sure they are a great fit, and makes their photo dreams come true. I am very self conscious about photos and lauren put me at ease. To be honest I did not want to have the engagement photo shoot but ended up doing it so I could feel comfortable on the wedding day. The engagement photo shoot with Lauren was the easiest and most fun day- we bonded over Rocky, crazy cats, our love for Trader Joe’s, and Taylor swift. After the engagement photo shoot I knew I would feel comfortable and confident on the wedding on the day. Let’s get to the wedding day- lauren and kamila walk into the bridal suite and they immediately put me at ease and went to work. Lauren was exactly what I needed the day of- she kept me on track, on time, and made me feel comfortable. She got the best candid shots and traditional shot requests of family and friends that looked beautiful because of her guidance, directions and cues. Not only did Ryan and I love her our family, friends and vendors did too. I thought I was going to hate all our wedding photos but I am obsessed with them. I cannot picture our wedding day without Lspinel. As someone who is VERY organized, slightly controlling and reads every review, I have never been more happy and fulfilled with who we chose as our photographer. We trusted our gut and knew LSpinel was the ONE.

Little details like that can sometimes be overlooked and underappreciated, but so important especially in the chaos of the months leading up to your wedding. Lauren has thought through it all. No detail goes overlooked, and she was truly able to understand our vision and everything we wanted captured during our day. During our wedding day, Lauren exuded the highest level of professionalism and was so pleasant to work with. She has an amazing ability to be a sweet, calming presence, all while keeping everything moving and flowing. Most importantly, she made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. She has an incredible ability to melt right into the flow of our wedding day while still remaining right there with us every step of the way, capturing every big moment of the day that we will forever get to relive. Lauren is the absolute best!!!! She is so talented and such a pleasure to have on your wedding day! We hired Lauren for our engagement shoot and wedding day and it was one of the best decisions we made. She makes you feel comfortable while capturing beautiful moments. She truly photographed our wedding day perfectly and you can feel the happiness and laughter through the photos. I had a dream of getting married in December and not having a first look. That was going to maybe mean less time for daylight photos since it gets dark early but that did not stop Lauren. Working with Lauren was one of the highlights of my wedding planning experience. Not only is she incredibly talented and artistic, she is the easiest and kindest person to work with! Lauren creates the most beautiful, authentic, and timeless photos that my husband and I (and our friends/families) will cherish forever, and we had SO much fun during every session with her. We hired Lauren as our photographer for our August 2023 wedding and she was absolutely amazing. Lauren is particularly good at capturing candid moments which is exactly what we were looking for. It was also really important to us that we worked with someone who was good with people - we have a huge, chaotic family and received so many compliments about how relaxed she remained amidst the chaos. On top of that, we were also really impressed with Lauren's organization and open communication. She was always available to talk if we had questions, and had every photograph planned down to the minute. And of course, the photos turned out beautifully! We are so happy we hired her.

We are so grateful to have Lauren photograph our garden wedding. From start to finish, she was always organized, punctual, professional, and personable. My husband and I are not particularly comfortable in front of the camera but she did a great job directing us. The photos she delivered were absolutely STUNNING and beyond what we hoped for. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for Lauren! She was our third vendor that we hired and found her through her past work at our venue. After that, every time we mentioned to other vendors we were working with her, every one of them knew and raved about her! Throughout the entire planning process, she was well organized, checked in often, celebrated little milestones with us, and answered all the little questions that came up in between. She made us both feel so comfortable during our engagement shoot and the pictures came out amazing - she really knows how to capture a romantic, playful, New York City vibe. When it came to the day of the wedding, she was just the person this extremely type A bride needed in her corner. When she arrived the day of, I was able to relax and know that she would help move the day along, get the shots we needed, and make the portraits fun and that’s exactly what she did. Truthfully, she was more than just a photographer to us - she was a calming presence throughout the beautiful chaos leading up to and on our wedding day. Throughout our 6-month planning period, Lauren was incredibly professional, timely and organized. She met with us to ensure her creative vision was on par with ours, provided enhancements and not only did she worked in lock step with us, but with also alongside our venders to make sure it was the wedding day ran smoothly. So much so, when we ran into challenges she went above and beyond providing us vender recommendations saving us, time, money, and additional stress. She even jumped in when I got blood all over my dress and miraculously made it disappear. Day of, Lauren was unobtrusive but always present. Her team captured all the moments that were important to us, and then some, capturing both the candid, posed and ‘trendy’ flash moments. She really has a gift for capturing the love we felt that day and she was able to take photos that we most certainly will cherish for a lifetime.

I simply cannot say enough good things about Lauren. If I am allowed to write 100 reviews about her service I would absolutely do so. Lauren is the absolute best photographer you can find and you’ll totally regret it if you don’t book her for your special day! Lauren is super communicative during the entire process from day 1 and kept us posted during the entire process. She made sure the timeline was perfect and saved enough time for portraits before ceremony with family and friends. We loved the way Lauren utilized the natural lighting during our wedding day to create the modern yet hint of vintage atmosphere. I’m writing this review 2 days after my wedding and I’ve already received sneaks from her and the photos are stunning. My husband and I cannot wait until all photos come back!

In my search for wedding photographers, I ultimately found Lauren on Reddit while searching for recommendations and was initially attracted to her photography as it was romantic and I loved the colors and composition of her photos, especially the more intimate weddings. Lauren was ultimately an amazing choice for our small city hall ceremony with photos afterward at a local public garden near our home. She was super easy to get in touch with, straightforward with pricing and planning, communicative, and so considerate and flexible given I was 8 months pregnant at the time of our wedding ceremony and we had to change our photography plan last minute given city hall restrictions. We ultimately ended up doing outdoor photos on the hottest day of the year (106 degrees!) and she still managed to work with us and make us look amazing despite the sun, sweat, and heat. Lauren provided us with photos that we will cherish for the rest of our lives and we are so thankful!

We were so lucky to work with Lauren! From initial outreach to our final wave goodbye, she was warm, caring, and the utmost professional. From the moment we saw her work, it was true she’d found her calling as a photographer. Having our engagement shoot and wedding day memorialized in such a beautiful way is such a gift! All emails and phone calls were always exactly on time and as scheduled, she never dropped the ball on any details, and was so helpful in the establishment of our timeline for the big day! (Don’t be afraid to invest in extra time for those gorgeous fun flash shots at the end of the night!) She was amazing with product turnaround for our sneak peeks and our final portfolios. Hiring Lauren meant we knew immediately we were in the best of hands and no stress or nightmares leading up to the big day! Whether we loved or feared the camera, she made us all look and feel our best all day and evening. But most of all - Lauren is just fun to be around. She is great to talk to, walk and laugh with, and she personally brings an energy and commitment to her work that is a wonderful addition to anyone’s big day. No horribly forced poses and moments with Lauren - she really captured the photojournalism tone we wanted for our event, and as a result our photos are just as fun to look at as they were to take with her! Investing in Lauren was one of the easiest decisions among our whole wedding planning process. If you’re on the fence, consider this your sign to stop looking - and pat yourself on the back! You’ve found one of the best in the business and you’re gonna have the BEST time ever.

My husband and I can’t say enough good things about working with Lauren or about our wedding photos (and engagement photos)! Lauren is so incredibly talented. Lauren was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding ! My husband and I got married just over two months ago in December and I cannot rave enough about how fantastic Lauren is. When we began the planning process, we discussed what was truly importance to us and having a photographer to capture the feel of us as a couple and our big day was a top priority! Lauren immediately made us feel comfortable when we did the initial consultation and her easy going and confident personality (plus being a cat lover) solidified our choice. We chose to do engagement photos only a couple months before the wedding which was a huge help. She made us feel comfortable and I felt beautiful in the photos she took. I am not overly confident in front of the camera so seeing those photos really helped me feel at ease during the wedding day! When it came to the wedding, Lauren worked seamlessly with our planner and vendors to create the day of timeline. She was efficient and captured every photo we wanted and more! It was raining that day and she really made lemonade out of lemons. The photos in the rain are hands down my favorite from the day. She captured our 185 person wedding easily, covered the dance floor, and gave us an array of artistic and classic photos. On top of all that, I got sneak peaks only a couple days after and the full wedding album in only a few weeks! I received so many compliments between the amazing engagement photos and artistic wedding photos. I cannot thank Lauren enough for being such a wonderful photographer and elevating our wedding experience!

I've had the pleasure of working with Lauren for my engagement, my (smaller) elopement, and my (larger) wedding. I've never looked more stunning in my life than in the photos Lauren has taken of me. Her approach to taking photos and how comfortable she makes everyone feel, results in the best photos I've ever seen of myself, my husband, and my family and friends. Lauren also creates a timeline and checks-in with you throughout the whole process, helping to create a seamless day of experience. I was so happy to have everything out of the way and for Lauren to take over, she made everything very easy and made everyone feel comfortable. Something that was really important to me was capturing photos of my family and my dogs, Lauren went out of her way to make sure I had candid photos of everyone, now I have memories that I can look back on for the rest of my life. Looking through all my galleries, I can relive the experience and look back fondly. Lauren helps direct you through all the photos as well, going through poses and where to put your hands (something I don't think about enough) and does it in such a nice, but clear way. The photos just show how skilled she is at not just taking photos, but directing. Lauren made my magical day(s) look even more magical, an incredible feat. After 3 sessions, I don't know if I'd ever go with another photographer. I'll be back for portraits!

Lauren was absolutely phenomenal to work with and her pictures show! She gave us the moody but dreamy pictures of our dreams and captured our day perfectly. We managed to snag Lauren rather last minute when we decided to elope to NYC from Ireland on relatively short notice. SO GLAD WE DID. It was nerve wracking trying to plan everything quickly from across the ocean, but she really helped us out, especially with timings for the Central Park ceremony so we could get that magical golden hour light, which I hadn't even thought of. It meant we changed our brunch wedding idea to an early evening one., which ended up being so perfect for us and our guests. Most of all, we're just thrilled with the final result. We're both super self conscious and awkward in photos, and to be honest it was the part of the wedding we were dreading the most. But Lauren got us through it and made us look like our best selves, and we're obsessed with the photos. She treated our Tuesday elopement with as much care and love as the biggest all-day event, and when it grew from a tiny elopement to a medium micro-wedding, she adjusted with us on the fly. We got so many creative shots and she captured all the special details of the day. Also: we got sneak peeks the very next day!! Highly recommended, no matter what kind of wedding you're having.

Lauren was such a pleasure to work with - the best combination of professional and personal. The phots she took were all stunning and a great mix of posed and candid. Lauren. Oh my goodness. There are not enough words in the English dictionary to describe how AMAZING Lauren is. To preface, wedding photos were one of my top priorities for our wedding. I grew up in a family of photographers who put a lot of emphasis on capturing intimate moments and creating memories from them. That being said, Lauren was by far one of my absolute favorite vendors throughout my entire wedding process. Communication & Friendliness: Lauren was recommended to me by another photographer friend. During my first call with her, I knew she was THE one. Honestly, I interviewed probably over 10 photographers, and I didn’t vibe or click with any of them as quickly as I did with Lauren. She is SUCH a gem. She’s incredibly responsive to emails and really personalizes and tailors her packages to each individual couple she works with. She was familiar with our venue and was able to share several galleries that she shot in different weather situations to give us as much information as possible. She was even super helpful in choosing outfits /locations for our engagement shoot- what outfits photographed the best and what areas would capture the vibe we were looking for. It was like talking with your BFF, but she had all the hidden secrets about how things would translate in photos. On top of that, communicating with Lauren is super seamless. She’s very responsive to texts and emails, and if she’s shooting an engagement or wedding, she still responds within 24 hours. Her portal is very organized, and she’s pretty much thought of everything you can imagine - family photos (and if there are any awkward situations), bridal party portraits, general vibe, special ceremony or reception traditions, etc. She covers it all and makes sure to capture your special day so you can sit back and enjoy the moment. Lastly, she’s great at communicating with other vendors such as our venue, DJ, etc as well. I could completely trust Lauren to be on top of any logistics. Photography Style & Editing: When looking for a photographer, I really wanted to find someone who could capture genuine emotions and intimacy. I wasn’t a fan of overly posed portrait styled photos. Lauren is absolutely amazing at capturing candid shots and even making my husband and I (who are completely awkward in front of the camera), look incredible. She gives short prompts to help you loosen up and be yourself and then lets you behave naturally. It is truly an art the feelings and emotions Lauren is able to capture with her camera. Her instagram is a great representation of her editing style and aesthetic, and I highly recommend checking it out! Timeliness: Engagement Session previews we’re delivered within 24 hours. The full gallery consisted of 150+ photos and were delivered electronically in ~1 week. Lauren texted me about 10-15 wedding photo previews the next day, and had approximately 100 sneak peak photos within a week. The full gallery was delivered electronically in approximately 4 weeks (she generally estimates 3-6 weeks, depending on how busy she is)! Seriously - you cannot go wrong with Lauren. I cannot recommend her enough.

You should definitely hire Lauren as your wedding photographer. We are so happy with our wedding photos, and with the fact that our wedding day felt authentic and not like a photo shoot. In addition to taking the most gorgeous documentary style photos, she's also SO easy to work with. Both Lauren and second shooter Erin were great at rolling with the punches and dealing with complicated dynamics on the big day. Lauren was on top of communication during every part of planning, always proactively reaching out. I was never once worried that Lauren had dropped the ball or going to miss a detail. Also our photos are beautifully edited and came back SO FAST. Book her immediately, you won't regret it.

Our first meeting with Lauren was over FaceTime and immediately felt a connection and sense of comfort with her. We first did an engagement session to get a sense of working with her. We’re not the mushy type but she made us come alive in photos with her little tricks to capture all the moments (and also make us laugh throughout the shoot). She was also very patient while our 4-legged baby stole the show of the engagement shoot. Leading up the wedding, she put together timelines and helped coordinate the series of events for the day, guiding us on how much time we would need for everything. The day of the wedding, she was punctual, calming, and captured some many special moments we’ll have forever.

I truly do not even know where to begin. Lauren is ridiculously talented but is also an amazing human being (which I found very important when looking for awesome female vendors for my wedding). My husband and I only spoke to Lauren before knowing we wanted to hire her for our wedding and we are so glad we did. When we had to push our wedding a year because of Covid, she was so accommodating and kept in contact the entire time. She is ridiculously organized and the documents she sent over as well as the portal she uses helped to keep me on track. When my husband and I decided that we actually did want engagement photos done two months before our wedding, Lauren squeezed us in and took some amazing photos of us and also chatted with us over beers after the shoot. She made us feel so comfortable and because I'm a photographer myself, I found that Eric and I never had nice photos together because I was always the one behind the camera. After the engagement shoot, I had so many precious images to choose from and we were so happy. Lauren created a timeline for the wedding day and included a checklist of items I should have ready for her to photograph which I loved as a Type A list and schedule person myself. The day went so smoothly and although I knew Lauren was getting amazing photos, she really let us enjoy our day and she honestly blended into the background because of how wonderful and candid her imagery is. She sent us a batch of images the next day so that we could post right away and then a large sneak peak a bit later. We were stunned when our final gallery arrived weeks before we imagined and are in love with every single image. She captured us as the laidback couple we are with our friends and family who have surrounded us for over a decade. I am so grateful to Lauren and would scream her name from the rooftops/highly recommend her to anyone looking for a fantastic wedding photographer. I wish I could get married again just to hire Lauren again but I know for sure we'll be passing her name along to every engaged couple we know. If you're looking for beautifully saturated and contrasted wedding imagery that looks like it belongs in an editorial, book Lauren immediately. She made us look cooler than we actually are and we love her so much!

We booked Lauren in 2019 prior to COVID. She did an INCREDIBLE job on our engagement photos. She understood exactly what I was looking for. When COVID hit, she was MORE than accommodating. We loved her so much we used her at my Shower as well. Fast forward 2.5 YEARS of engagement and it's finally my wedding day! Lauren CAME THRU!!! No one can believe how truly beautiful these photos are - from the layout to the coloring she is such an artist! They are unique and so tastefully done. We hired Lauren to photograph our wedding back in May and she was truly amazing. Lauren did such an unbelievable job capturing every moment on our wedding day! Lauren is incredibly talented! We just received our engagement photos and WOW they are absolutely stunning - they turned out amazing! We decided to do our shoot around the streets of Manhattan and while we were walking, you can see Lauren eyeing every street we pass to see if it was a potential spot to photograph. Lauren did our small wedding and a separate engagement session and was such a pleasure to work with -- we could not recommend her enough! In addition to providing us with stunning (she is very talented and knows what she is doing!) photos of our special day (with a fast gallery turnaround time and sneak peeks the next day), she was professional, communicative, and organized -- with helpful emails and fast response times -- as well as warm and enthusiastic, and we felt very comfortable with her. At the end of our wedding, I spontaneously decided I wanted to jump in the pool, but it was dark and the shots wouldn't be as good, so she offered to come back first thing in the morning just to get shots of us jumping in in our wedding attire, which was a really nice touch. Lauren is amazing! We hired Lauren for our wedding and she was referred to us from and friend. From her first email, we knew she would be professional and so fun to work with. I can't say enough good things about Lauren! She was the perfect combination of chill and fun. She was able to organize blended family for all the different combinations we needed for portraits while seamlessly dodging NYC tourists. She went above and beyond- even helping suggest new venues in the city when our original place closed during the pandemic. Hiring Lauren to be our photographer for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. Our plans changed due to covid, so we pulled together a smaller wedding in the span of a few months. Truthfully, Lauren came as a recommendation from another photographer that was unavailable on our date, but I chalk up my inability to find her on my own to limited knowledge and poor Instagram search skills on my part.. because (and I can't express this enough) we couldn't be happier or more relieved that it was Lauren!
