Lauren Wood Photography is a wedding photography company based in Lansing, MI. I established my business in 2014, which started as a side hustle and kept growing into something I now have the privilege to do full-time! I originally began my photography journey as a photojournalist working for newspapers and a lifestyle magazine. Love is my constant companion and a limitless source of inspiration (my birthday is on Valentine's Day, so I have always loved love!). It's thrilling to see couples and their families and friends coming together in celebration and sharing moments that no one present will ever forget. I am so grateful to be entrusted with the preservation of some of life's most precious moments, and you can rely on me to be there for you every step of the way. I'll be your extra bridesmaid, cheerleader, and number one fan. Lauren Wood Photography offers a choice of collections and packages that begin with 8 hours of coverage. Hourly packages are also available if you are having an intimate wedding. You are more than welcome to message me if you would like to set up a FaceTime chat or grab a cup of coffee. Lauren Wood Whitmore

I'm a MI native and went to school at MSU (go green!), but made my way down South for 8 years where I started my photography business in 2014. I spent those years as a newspaper and magazine photographer, and that has strongly influenced my photography and how I approach a wedding day. I relocated back home to the Lansing area in 2019 with my husband and two pups (and added our son to our family this year!), and I have loved being back in Michigan! When I'm not taking pictures, I'm probably baking, watching The Great British Baking Show or dreaming about the next trip I want to take!
