I am extremely disappointed not only in the quality, but also the professionalism I have received. First, before hiring Lauren to do my wedding photos one of the first questions I had asked was how she’s able to handle family photos and she sa...id that they were never an issue and is used to it. Before the wedding I had spent hours making a list of the different pictures I wanted with different family members and provided that to her. On the day of the wedding during the photos she did not have the list with her and kept asking me what was next. If I would have known she wasn’t able to handle it I would have printed out the list and had my mom in charge. Later when I asked her about it this was her response “ Due to being the only photographer it was a challenge for me to consult the list during the family portraits while trying to get lighting, posing, and arranging people while on a time crunch. I did consult you multiple times at the end of the family portraits to make sure we didn’t miss any and if we did I do apologize. “ Next, we were shot down many different times on photo ideas. But this one Bothered me the most. I had wanted the entire bridal party to go and take a picture on a bridge I thought it would be a great picture of all of us crammed together. But instead, I was told no and we would all fit. Again later when I had asked her About it she said “I just want you to know that I didn’t want your dress to get super muddy because I wanted the rest of your photos to look gorgeous. “ I have many issues with this as a response, but I’ll keep it pretty simple my dress already had mud on it and it did not bother me at all. I only get to wear that dress one day in my life I’d rather have the pictures to look back on than a clean dress. And a good photographer can edit the mud out. finally, I know the style is light and Airy I love that look I follow many photographers who do that look and their pictures turn out amazing. I just think that when you hire photographer and spend $1,400 you should look at those pictures and be like wow I look really good on my wedding day. A photographer should make you look better not worse. One example, I had a spray tan done and in most picture I blended in to the background I understand light and airy, but I should have stood out not blended in.(Am I the only bride who wants to stand out a little?) And trust me I know with this style I won’t look extremely dark, but it caught me off guard by being completely whitewashed. Her comment back to me being upset about being ghostly white in my picture was very unprofessional “I cannot help that a spray tan does not show up and if I change the color, you look orange.” Is this how you would want to be talked to as a customer on a day that cost more than it is to buy a car? Even through all the hassle it took and the rude unprofessional comments, she did fix over 100 of the photos and that which I am truly grateful for.
