With our save-the-dates already sent, we suddenly found ourselves having to make more thoughtful choices about our vendors. From the very beginning, Laurie made us feel seen, heard, and truly welcomed. We knew we wanted an officiant who understood and respected our vision of love, unity, and family — and Laurie was exactly that. She was incredibly thoughtful throughout the planning process, ensuring our ceremony reflected who we are as a couple. Though we initially asked for a fairly traditional ring exchange, Laurie suggested adding a sand ceremony involving our families — and it ended up being one of the most meaningful moments of the day. We had asked not to preview the ceremony script in advance, and when Laurie delivered her words on the day, we were completely moved. She captured our relationship, love, and story so beautifully — it was beyond what we imagined. Laurie also helped keep us grounded. She could see when the stress of planning was weighing on us and always reminded us what the day was truly about: love and connection.
