The Lavandula Strings were simply amazing. They were a dream to work with, very responsive, and open to literally anything. I provided my goddaughter with their performance for the wedding. Strings naturally elevate any song, from pop to broadway, and their creative and tasteful mix of selections across the genres was beautiful and engaging. We absolutely loved having Lavandula Strings join us for our event last fall! They brought the exact quality of professionalism we were looking for, and exceeded our expectations with regards to their performance! It makes sense they are all highly classically-trained. I truly appreciate this group who beautifully decorated my best friend's special moments in her life! As a professional musician, it was extremely challenging to choose a music ensemble group for my friend's wedding. This is because most players did not meet my expectations and it was extremely difficult to find good players based on the experience and knowledge gained by participating in various life events such as weddings, engagements, anniversaries, and funerals myself since 2000. Most singers were vulnerable to outdoor events, and the woodwind quintet was unique but hard to hear and lack of impact. String trio (violin, cellos, and piano) often had to deal with a bad piano/keyboard condition. Brass quartet or quintet were fun to listen to but did not fit in well depending on the circumstances. After deep consideration and gathering lots of recommendations, I requested Lavandula Strings for my best friend's life event, and their performance and attitude toward the event exceeded my expectations. 1. Each of the performers' professionalism 2. Founder Joy's wonderful communication skills 3. A diverse and broad repertoire ranging from classical music to jazz and pop 4. Empathy and warm attitude toward an event 5. Great responsibility and perfectionism My friends and her family still talk about how wonderful the music was at the wedding and how pleased the attendees were. We hired Lavandula Strings to play for our ceremony and cocktail hour and they were absolutely amazing! From the beginning, Joy was so easy to communicate with and answered all of our questions. We've never hired string musicians before so she walked us through the process and what to expect. During the ceremony, the quartet timed our songs perfectly and I can say with full confidence, there was not a single dry eye in the room. It felt so special to hear the strings as I walked down the aisle. During cocktail hour, the musicians played as we took photos outside. Our guests absolutely loved it and they enjoyed dancing to their music, especially the kids. We had the chance to speak with Joy and the other musicians afterwards and they were all lovely people and very accomplished. They all had graduate degrees and had performed all over the world as classical musicians - they had even performed at weddings for celebrities! It really made our ceremony special to have them share their talents with us on such an important day! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional musicians that go above and beyond!

I knew I wanted to hire a classical group to perform at my wedding but I wasn't sure if I could afford it. Joy suggested a violin and cello duo to fit my budget and they were amazing! They performed the songs I requested with the perfect timing. They really made my day memorable and I would recommend them to anyone hoping to make their day special!

I first connected with Joy, the first violinist, in January 2019 after our wedding had been rescheduled twice due to Covid. Joy was so understanding and did everything she could to make sure our wedding ran smoothly. She wrote out a personalized transcription of my wife's favorite song and kept up communication as our wedding approached in August. The wedding went seamlessly and we received so many compliments on the string quartet's playing. They were also genuinely kind people! I would highly recommend them to any couple looking for a great addition to their ceremony!
