Based out of Grand Rapids, MI, Lavender Locks offers hair and makeup services for weddings and other milestone occasions. Owner Lauren is happy to travel to couples getting married outside of her local area and is available to work on site. Lauren credits her love of hairstyling to her big sister. She taught Lauren how to curl her hair, and Lauren instantly fell in love with the work, eventually leading her to open Lavender Locks. To return the favor, Lauren took care of her sister's hair and makeup on her own big day. Lavender Locks can start the wedding hairstyling process with an initial trial session. At this appointment, you can work with Lauren to decide on your dream look, whether you want loose, romantic curls or a classic updo. Lauren is also happy to create unique braided looks, and can finish the look with fresh flowers or other accessories. She's able to cut hair, too, if you'd prefer a more drastic change before the big day. This professional's services are offered to the wedding party, including flower girls and mothers-of-the-couple, so that everyone can look their best.

Lauren provided hair and makeup services for my wedding. She did a FABULOUS job from trials to the actual wedding day. She was timely, flexible, and I couldn’t have been happier with my hair and makeup for my wedding day. She is also so sweet! Lauren is great! My hair looked beautiful and stayed put all night, despite being dancing, jumping, running and being thrown in the air multiple times. I probably was not the easiest to work with as I kept changing numbers (sorry!) but she was sweet and flexible and we all were finished with plenty of time. I'm so thrilled with how things turned out and I would recommend Lauren to everyone.

Lauren did my hair and makeup for a styled photo shoot and she did an amazing job! My updo was so secure and lasted all night and so did my makeup. On top of being so sweet, she is very talented and I would love to have her do my hair and makeup again.

Lauren was absolutely amazing and nailed my bridal updo the day of my wedding with no trial beforehand even! It turned out perfectly gorgeous and looked beautiful even with the blizzard and wind in the outdoor pictures! Highly recommend her for all hair styles you need!

As a recent father of the bride I must say Lauren’s work on each of my 5 daughters as well as the other bridesmaids and the most gorgeous mother of the bride was beyond stunning.
