ne and even after our wedding continued to check in. Lazaretto was the first place we looked at in person and the last. Terri explained everything, gave us ideas and options, and to find a place as affordable, professional, updated etc that included linen, table centerpieces, cake, open bar, and catering- unbelievable! Needless to say, our friends and families enjoyed themselves to the fullest- we received many compliments on the decor and food. The lighting worked beautifully with our colors- (they have many colors to choose from). The outdoor ceremony on site was beautiful. The bridal suite is comfortable for our party to get ready in. There is ample parking. Many spots to get photos done by the Delaware river. Again we couldn’t be happier- Thank you Terri, the bouquet shop, the master bakers, and Capazolli catering we greatly appreciate you all making our day very special!

(Some were slow to get back, some were pushy, and only a handful were VERY responsive) The Lazaretto was one of the places that were very responsive. (It was also the first place we went and looked at) It was super easy to schedule a time to go look at the venue. We met Terri and she showed us around. She showed us our options for the onsite ceremony (indoor or outdoor) option, the ballroom, the bathrooms, the bridal suite, etc. She answered any questions we threw at her. My husband and I were super comfortable with Terri and the venue – so we didn’t look any further. Terri explained the process and what was included. As our wedding day was approaching, we met with Terri to go over the final details. I brought her all my day-of décor and she stored them for us until the big day. Fast forward to the day of! The day-of didn’t go as planned due to us girls running behind. We were originally planning on doing a first look followed by bridal party photos. Plan B approached quickly to where we were just going to do a first look. You can probably guess what’s next… Plan C! Plan C was to axe the first look and just meet at the altar. My husband was already at the venue, and he was communicating with Terri throughout the day with the change of plans. (And when I mean throughout the day, it was over the course of 2 hours. Plans changed quickly) And Terri went right along with it! She didn’t skip a beat. [As did our photographer – AMAZING!] Terri stayed throughout the cake-cutting and checked with us to make sure we didn’t need anything else. She made this process SEAMLESS! Oh! And let’s not forget about the staff and food! The staff was very attentive. They checked on my husband and I throughout the night, brought us drinks, and my guest even mentioned how friendly the staff was. The food – delicious! (Multiple guests talk about how delicious the food was!) I could go on and on with my review but was trying to keep it as short and sweet as possible without missing any details. To sum up my review… BOOK with the Lazaretto Ballroom. You will NOT be disappointed! -Happy Bride & Groom <3

n top of all that I can’t say enough fabulous things about Terri. She alone was the reason we booked this venue. Many places we looked at gave us the run around and we would leave frustrated and back at square one. After our first meeting with Terri we walked out knowing immediately this was the one . Any questions we had she was quick to respond. I always looked forward to our meetings because we could talk for hours like we’ve known each other forever . Terri and the staff at The Lazaretto Ballroom made our day everything we hoped for and MORE and I can’t thank them enough !

fter we got engaged (2017) and from the start we knew we were in great hands. We purposely picked our wedding date for May 2020 so we would have time to plan and enjoy the process. Little did we know Covid would push us back another year and a half. Terri was responsive through the entire 4 years. Every email I sent she would respond within hours, not days HOURS!! Terri and her team took our vision and brought it to life. We have gotten so many compliments about the food, the staff and the venue and how much our guests enjoyed themselves. Huge shoutout to Greg who made sure my husband and I were taken care of the entire night! He'd ask if we needed anything to eat or drink frequently and I can't tell you how much we appreciated that. The venue is beautiful. Terri and her team are amazing. We are so happy we picked the Lazaretto. It was totally worth the wait!

She made the planning process so much easier and was so patient and understanding. If I started to feel stressed (especially those last 2 weeks) she helped ease it all. The ballroom was decorated more beautifully than I ever could have imagined with so much detail thanks to Terri and her staff. The staff was phenomenal and were all so nice. The bartenders were great! The dance floor was more perfect than I could have imagined. All of my guests talked about how beautiful of a venue lazaretto was. It was TRULY the most perfect night and more than I could have dreamed of. I can’t say enough how happy I am to have had my wedding here.

We wanted to stick to a budget, and she never made us feel bad about what we did and didn’t want. Terri is an excellent communicator and any questions we had were always answered by either a return phone call or an email within the same day. Our tasting evening was wonderful. We couldn’t believe the amount of food we got to try at the tasting. We met with Terri probably three or four times throughout our entire planning process and each time it felt like we were sitting down with an old friend. About a week before the wedding, we dropped off all of our day of items and we really didn’t even have a plan for all of our decor, we just knew that Terri was going to make everything look beautiful! When our wedding day finally arrived, everything was absolutely stunning. The ballroom looked gorgeous and all of the food was delicious. Terri and the team definitely executed down to the tiniest of details. our wedding timeline went off without a hitch and we were able to enjoy many hours of dancing. All of the staff were so friendly and service oriented. Most importantly our family and guests have given us so many compliments on the food, the ballroom, and the service. If you are looking for a beautiful ballroom with affordable prices, delicious food, and great service look no further, the Lazaretto Ballroom is simply amazing! id have to reduce our guest count and take some additional precautions but the staff was amazing and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. It is truly a hidden gem! I was blown away when I walked into the ballroom and saw it set up on the day of our wedding. Terri is an ANGEL. She made sure to communicate with me every step of the way leading up to our big day and quelled my anxiety with her responsiveness and professionalism. She really took care of us during a crazy time and I couldn’t have asked for a better Coordinator. She was efficient, responsive, and so fun to work with—I could go on and on! Terri made us feel like family and I’ll forever be grateful that she was there for us for such a huge milestone. If you have any doubts about this place, rest assured that it is the right venue. The food was spectacular (even better than our tasting) and our guests raved about how delicious everything was as well as how organized and well put together our wedding ran. We visited a lot of venues and Lazaretto provides BY FAR the best bang for your buck. You won’t be disappointed!!

ERYTHING was perfect. I was a nervous bride was at times under stress, and Terry - was so amazing and helpful. covered every detail and put my mind at ease. She's become a friend and a someone near and dear to my heart. if you're looking for an awesome, one stop shop- look no further!

s so understanding. Anytime I had a question she responded back in no time. Not once were we ever pestered for money or told that something was impossible. She has an answer for everything. She's a God-send! Also the staff is wonderful too. They were so accommodating to us and our guests. One of our guest didn't feel well prior to the cocktail hour, and Terri actually let him lie down in her office until he felt better. Also a waiter went out of their way to get my nephew something different to eat at the reception. The food is out of this world (were still hearing about it from our guests), the venue is large and the location couldn't be more convenient. Not to mention you won't find a more affordable place with the total package than the Lazaretto. We had our centerpieces, cake, bridal suite, food, bar, linens, chair covers, and taxes all included! The food tasting was incredible and we even got to take so much home to enjoy again and again. All of the recommended vendors were also spectacular! We had our dream wedding thanks to the Lazaretto and to Terri! Would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you guys so much for making our day special! We love you!

riginal venue cancelled on us!... We didn't know what to do! Just when the despair was setting-in, Mike Sr., from the Lazaretto called us and told us we just had to come in, that his Event Coordinator, Terri, was going to 'put a smile on our faces.' With nothing to lose, we arranged a meeting... We were so happy to find that the Lazaretto not only put a smile on our faces, they helped us have the most amazing wedding we could have ever dreamed of! The property around the Laz is historic and beautiful and having access to the waterfront is just wonderful for pictures. The ballroom is spacious and gorgeous, and can be customized to fit whatever needs or vision you may have. The food is delicious! They completely outdo themselves. The best part of our experience though, was the customer service. All of the staff are polite, hard working and helpful. But, the real star is Ms. Terri Wright. She went above and beyond! She made us feel like we were not customers, but family. She was quick and consistent, great with communicating with us, and she gave us great suggestions when we were struggling with ideas. She is incredibly knowledgeable and well organized. We affectionately began to call her our "Terri Godmother." She made us feel comfortable and confident about how our reception was going to turn out, and she was absolutely right! Our wedding reception was beautiful! Our guests had a great time, too! Everyone we've talked to has raved about how beautiful our reception was and just how much fun they had! We look forward to having a party there again in the future! We strongly recommend the Lazaretto Ballroom for any special event!

re able to get a preview of the venue and food at their annual Italian Night. The room was beautiful and the food was remarkable. While dancing to our own wedding song, we knew we’d found the perfect place to start our lives together. We met with Terri Wright, the sales manager, and began the process of planning our wedding. We both know people that have planned a wedding, and to a person we were warned of the stresses, arguments and drama that come with every decision. We are thrilled to say that we did not once have any issues throughout the entire process. Terri held our hand from day one and assured us that there would be no problems. There were times when we started to worry or were waiting for the other shoe to fall, but it never happened. As a matter of fact, we had 90% of the wedding done and ready for the big day a whole 10 days before the actual wedding day, which is a huge relief. Thank you for the exceptional work you did for us, Terri, Capozzoli Catering and the Lazaretto Ballroom. On the day of the wedding, our room , which we had planned out with Terri, looked great and was exactly how we had pictured it. The staff provided excellent service and were both friendly and efficient. As for the food, we are both foodies who notice every detail. To the head chef and the kitchen staff, we simply say “bravo.” Each appetizer, hot or cold, from ravioli to shrimp, was a great way to start our party. We are also both steak lovers, and the dishes that were served to us were nothing short of perfection. Our wedding day was a day we wish we could relive every day, and The Lazaretto Ballroom played a major role in that. Thank you to everyone, from management to staff to the kitchen. The party you threw for us was the best way to start our journey as a married couple.

coming from an Italian family is not easy task. The price was fair, especially on a Saturday evening. Would highly recommend them for any occasion. They even do catering offsite!

erfect, they accommodated allergies, illnesses, everything one could imagine PLUS altered the package to our needs. The food was spectacular AND knowing they include many things in their package made everything easier for us in the long run.

Liz was so very helpful, keeping us on track and making sure everything went smoothly. We couldn't have asked for a better reception. We'd love to do it all over again.
