What also sets Carlos apart is not just his ability to curate the perfect playlist, but his seamless coordination with our vendor team. He is a preferred vendor at the Ebell at Long Beach, where he has been the DJ for decades, and his longstanding partnership was evident in the flawless execution of the music and directions he gave as MC to create the most enjoyable party. For our day, we had several complex components that required detailed coordination, including a money dance, table group photos, full wedding guest photo, and various line dances, and he worked with us and our wedding coordinator to plan out how it could all flow. Carlos then executed all of them with the given time frame without hiccups. So many friends and family said it was the smoothest wedding they've attended and we got to truly enjoy everything in the moment.
Carlos also set up the lights that synced with the music, and we had opted for the additional photo booth which came in a vintage exterior that fit with the overall decor, and are so glad we got to capture the various shenanigans of our friends and family throughout the night.

and especially his honesty. The other DJs convinced us they basically double as a wedding coordinator since they will be familiar with the event schedule. But Carlos was honest and reminded us that the DJ's main responsibility is to get the guests engaged with great music and fun crowd work, so they can't be running around checking on other things. They are also not responsible for set up and clean up of the venue. This may seem obvious now, but as a bride to be, with no clue how much goes into planning a wedding, this was very informative. We booked him and from that first consultation until the day of our wedding, he was responsive and incredibly comforting. Why comforting? Because our wedding was taking place during the week of a rare Southern California storm and I was really worried. We had our call the week of to go over details and Carlos really convinced me that no matter how the weather will be (because it's out of our control), we will have a blast during the reception. His energy and attitude perked me right up and made me really excited again. And day of?? Well he definitely delivered! On our wedding day, Carlos and his team did such an amazing job facilitating our wedding ceremony and reception. So many people commented that they loved our music and the way that Carlos hyped everyone up! After giving him just a couple songs we liked, he was able to curate an amazing playlist for us and our guests that kept the party going all night long. Our guests also had such an amazing time in the photobooth. They loved getting printed photos, as well as utilizing the fun props Carlos provided.

He did a telephone walk through with us a week before the wedding to make sure everything was covered and we had no questions or concerns. The actual event was spectacular. He didn't miss a beat with the music for our ceremony. The reception was equally as good. His transitions from song to song are seamless. The selection of songs he played were excellent. DJ Carlos was able to get our guests pumped up and keep them on the dance floor until the night was over. He even took some time to get all our guests on the dance floor for a photo. I never would have thought to get a photo of all of our guests at once. I haven't received the photographs yet, but I'm sure I will cherish that photo.

With the way they handled our music, all of the pieces we had discussed on our call in the weeks leading up to the wedding were taking into account. Our suggestions were taken and the branching they did kept the dance floor busy with many happy guests. Weeks after the wedding guests were still saying how much fun they had and the music was done very well.

They played the songs we wanted and had flawless transitions between them (everyone was commenting about how smooth they were)! You even get a "Do Not Play" section of songs which helped a lot for those songs you personally don't like but you know people will request. on the phone we could tell Carlos was passionate about what he does, was very excited to be a part of our day and ensured us he would do everything he could to make it a success. Carlos supplies us with a list for us to fill in for the songs to play for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. He was very easy to work with and was easily able to mix in both modern hits, classics and Hispanic music into the setlist. On the day of the wedding, our timeline for eating was delayed a bit due to weather and Carlos saved the day by working with our day of coordinator to keep the party moving and the dance floor packed. We can honestly say that if it weren’t for Carlos our wedding wouldn’t have been half as successful as it was. Additionally, Carlos is very willing and able to accommodate special requests (playing certain parts of songs for example) and we were very happy with his services and we got many compliments from our guests and other vendors about how great Carlos was.
