Rolf was very accommodating in helping us create our perfect wedding cake. He worked with us patiently on the design and I was so pleased to see how beautifully it turned out on the big day - not to mention how great it tasted! Thanks again, would Definitely recommend!

Rolf was so easy to work with! I did have one image of a certain design for the outside of the cake. Rolf went out of his way to find this specific fondant to make it happen for me! The cake looked beautiful and tasted amazing. (We went with vanilla cake and cappuccino mousse filling - really delicious!). Rolf took care of everything. I dropped my cake topper off with him months in advance, I told him what types of flowers would be in my centerpieces and he decorated the cake. This was all included in the price, no need to spend another $100+ through your florist. He also gives the bride and groom a gift certificate for one year later (no need to eat a frozen year old cake, just go get a new one!!!) But really, Rolf was great and I would highly recommend him and Le Gateau Suisse.

Rolf was AMAZING to work with! I'm not a huge desert/cake person to begin with. Our cake would have been vanilla - super plain and simple. When we had our cake tasting, I joked around that I would love an Oreo wedding cake and he made it happen! Its been about a month after our wedding and our friends and family are still raving about our cake. All of them have said it was the best they ever had! I also spoke to Rolf about doing a groomsman cake for my husband - who DJs part time. I sent him images from Pinterest hoping he can match one of the cakes I found...I couldn't believe it. The moment we cut our cake was the first time I saw it - it was INCREDIBLE. My husband didn't even want to cut it. It looked like a real soundboard. Rolf exceeded my expectations in terms of how the cake tasted and how both our wedding cake and groomsman cake looked. Even if you're just looking for a cake for an event and not necessarily a wedding, I still highly recommend him. Not only is he amazing at what he does but he is so sweet and easy to work with. You won't regret it!

Cake looked amazing and tasted awesome! I used Le Gateau Suisse through my reception venue, the NYCC (awesome as well!) as the cake was built into the price. We met with the baker personally, tasted a few different flavors, and he even made us a (large) sample cake to bring home, which my husband ate over the course of two weeks and said it still tasted delicious, haha! We couldn't be more happy with how our cake came out! Thank you Le Gateau Suisse!

Decadent Cakes and Personable Service! I am so happy to have worked with Le Gateau Suisse for our wedding cake. Rolf was attentive to our requests and made fantastic suggestions we didn't even think of but would add to our ideas to make our beautiful cake!! As a bride I could not have been happier! If you want great service getting what you want and even more then I would highly suggest this bakery.

Le Gateau Suisse is an amazing bakery that we have used for family events for the past ten years. They did an excellent job on the Groom's cake and our wedding cake. Our cakes came out wonderfully and the taste was exceptional. Rolf is a spectacular baker and really took time to include my husband in the creativity of the design. I am forever grateful to Rolf for our lovely cake.

The cake was included with our venue but it was baked by Le Gateau Suisse. We met with the baker and tasted several cakes to choose which flavors we wanted. We also were able to pick our cake design. It was delicious and beautiful!

Excellent! Completely perfect experience. We were linked with Le Gateau Suisse via our reception location, the Ramsey Golf and Country Club. From the beginning, Rolf was helpful, attentive, and a true artist. He knew what looked good on a cake, and though our initial ideas were contrasting, he was able to provide helpful feedback. He made us a sample cake with different designs to try, and that helped our decision making process immensely. The price was EXTREMELY good. The cake looked EXACTLY as promised, and we got many compliments on both the look and taste. PERFECT!!!!!!

One meeting with Rolf and you know you are dealing with a baker who is passionate about his cakes. From designing, to tasting, to setting up, he is the best. This is a cake you can't eat enough of!

Rolf and his team at Le Gateau Suisse did an amazing job on our wedding cake. We had a very particular idea in mind for the shape and style of our cake, and Rolf worked closely with us on all of the details. He made us a sample cake so that we could see how different colors options would look with our design which was very helpful. And we did a tasting in the shop to pick out which flavor combination to go with which was tough- they were all so good! The flowers used on the cake were also beautiful and really fresh.

Above all else, I wanted our cake to taste amazing. Our cake was by far the best cake I've ever had at a wedding, and our guests couldn't agree more. We chose what the bakery is known for - a chocolate layer cake, with white chocolate and dark chocolate mousse filling with raspberries, iced with buttercream frosting. Aside from the cake tasting amazing, it looked beautiful too. We met with Rolf and discussed many design options in our first meeting. A few weeks later, we were able to pick a sample 8 inch cake that was decorated in 4 different ways. Each quadrant had a different design, and half the cake was frosted with buttercream with the other half frosted in fondant - and every bite of it was delicious. I met with Rolf again to discuss our final design decision, slightly changing one of the designs we were given. I had a specific accent color I wanted to use and gave him a fabric swatch to use as guidance. He matched it exactly. On our wedding day, the cake looked flawless and tasted wonderful. Too top it all off, the cake was WAY below budget and you would never know we got it for such a steal based on the amazing quality. In addition to all of this, we will receive a free 8 inch replica of our cake on our one year anniversary. We can't wait.

They ruined my wedding cake! I would rate them zero stars if I could. The outside of the cake looked ok (though he apparently forgot the color for the icing that we had decided on weeks before and made me choose btw 2 other colors), but the inside was wrong (even though we had told him several times what we wanted for the filling) and he forgot to put our topper on (which we specifically purchased cross country and flew home with bc it had sentimental value to us). He claimed he never received it when the girl in his shop personally took it from us when we brought it over. Long story short, it was returned to us AFTER the wedding (after he admitted it had indeed been sitting in his shop the whole time), but it does us no good now. They ruined this part of my wedding for me and for that, I wouldn't rec. for anyone else to use them. Go with a bakery you can depend on to give you the wedding cake of your dreams. Oh, and the baker does NOT take calls. I tried calling several times the week of the wedding to ensure he had received the topper, that we were set with what we wanted in terms of colors, the filling, etc., and each time I called I was told he was busy and the shop girls told me it was all taken care of. I also tried emailing but got no response back. It apparently wasn't taken care of as it was all wrong! They are as unprofessional and unorganized as they come there.

Rolf the owner is wonderful to work with, he did an excellent at his job! Our cake was beautiful and delivered the day of the wedding. Got a free sample cake to make sure we liked his work as well as a free 1 year anniversary cake!

Working with the baker at Le Gateau was a great process. It's clear from the beginning that the baker is very much into his work and wants to make sure you have a cake you love. I spoke with him a few times throughout the process and while I picked the flavors and colors he offered additional suggestions about how the flowers would look. They also offer an anniversary cake gift certificate where he will make us a small cake on our anniversary instead of freezing the top layer since it often doesn't taste good in a year. The cake was beautiful and it actually tasted delicious. We went with two flavors in alternating tiers: red velvet and chocolate cake with canoli filling - covered in a butter cream exterior. Can't wait for the anniversary cake!

Not only did our cake look great, but we were told by more than one guest that it was the best tasting cake they ever had!

This bakery doesn't get mentioned all too often on here because he is located in NY right by the Palisades Mall. Rolf is the recommended bakery of Ramsey and it is clear why Micahel continues to use him. Rolf has a tasting where you sit down and go through pictures and ideas of what you want your cake to look like. From there a few months later, I picked up our sample cake, which is a 7x7 cake which Rolf decorates in a bunch of different ways. He does half fondant, half butter cream, and then all different designs so you can pick the one you like best. Also included with Rolf's cake is an anniversary cake, so this way you can eat the top of your cake at the wedding and it helps with cost. I also ordered a grooms cake which was a simple 12" round cake, which Rolf still decorated amazingly, and I fell over when he told me the cost ($40!!) you can't beat that! Rolf then amazed one more time with a birthday cake that my mom ordered for me. Rolf was incredibly reasonably and an awesome guy to work with! Oh and the cake tasted AMAZING! He's known for his chocolate and white chocolate moose filling. DH's cake was chocolate cake with cannoli filling.

When we met with the baker at Le Gateau Suisse for the first time we were very happy! He made us feel very special and wanted to be sure he gave us the most perfect wedding cake!! HE DID! He is an artist and bakes the most delicious cakes!! My husband and I were so happy with our wedding cake and it truly looked beautiful! We were very pleased with the service and with the taste of the cake as well. It looked awesome and tasted awesome too! ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I highly recommend this bakery to anyone who wants to have a beautiful cake and one that tastes really good too! I will be going back to this bakery for cakes for other occasions as well!! DELICIOUS!!! THANK YOU!

The cake is by far the best wedding cake I've ever had. Guests were drooling over it and swiping more slices. It was that good. White & Milk chocolate mousse....what's not to love! He also got fresh flowers to match our regular flowers for the cake and it couldn't have looked any more perfect...would've never known they were from someone different.
