Our experience in hosting our wedding reception at Le Meridien far exceeded our wildest dreams for what our reception would be! Ashley was indispensable in her role as our day of c...
oordinator on behalf of the hotel. She helped us ensure all of our ducks were in a row before the #bigday, and once the day arrived she saw to it that everything ran smoothly. We loved that they set up a separate room to enjoy a meal with just the two of us, and then they moved the sweetheart table into the dining room while we did our first dance. The food was a huge hit, from the passed hors d'oeuvres and cheese display to the dinner itself. They were even able to accommodate our vegan friends on relatively short notice. The bar selection was excellent, and they helped us design some delightful signature cocktails. The venue itself felt very fancy, and our guests LOVED dancing on the outdoor courtyard all through the warm summer night. They had plenty of rooms available for our guests at a great price for Boston in the summer, which was super helpful because most of our guests were coming from out of town. We had debated somewhat about whether to hold our reception in or out of the city, and we are so happy that we chose to get married in an area surrounded by activities for our guests as well as our ideal after party location (Havana Club in Central Square). It was convenient to take photos on the Common and hop over to the venue. It didn’t hurt that this was a Marriott property, so we received a ton of points that translated into some luxurious stays on our honeymoon.
Caitlin and Ashley were incredibly helpful in planning! Steve, Victor & their crew in the food/beverage service went above and beyond and were so kind. The hotel itself is beautifu...
l and was perfect for our small sized wedding. The staff were flexible and friendly.
The staff at Le Meridien were very accommodating. Our original venue has closed down with just months to spare for our big day. We reached out to as many spots in the Boston area a...
s we could, knowing that places like Le Meridien may have been out of our reach. Heather Schell responded right away and worked tirelessly with us to plan a wedding reception within our budget, but without feeling like we missed any of the important stuff. She gave us sound advice with food and the order of events, which was extremely helpful and crucial to ensuring a successful and dream-filled night. We didn't have to worry about a thing that night because Heather took care of everything. The staff were also extremely helpful, courteous and sincere. I am so happy to have met and worked with such a great crew!
We chose Le Meridien for our wedding because the hotel was beautiful and the ballroom was in a great location with the the rooftop garden right outside- perfect for a spring weddin...
g. The location was perfect for us living about 15 min away from the hotel.
When we chose the hotel, we were originally working with Megan, but she left just a few months after we committed. Heather took over and did an amazing job! We loved working with her- she responded to everything we could have asked for and really took the day-of set up completely out of my hands (which is what I needed!).
The week of the wedding, she let me drop everything off early in the week, which took a lot of stress off of me since we had several guests staying at our small condo prior to the wedding!
As for the actual day of- the reception staff were all lovely- the servers and bartenders were all great.
The only trouble we ran into was booking some of the guest rooms and check-ins. Since it is a smaller hotel, you may run into trouble if you have a lot of guests from out of town! Heather was more than happy to jump in and help whenever she could- and I was so happy with the results!
Overall- I would absolutley recommend having your wedding at Le Meridien- I am very happy with our choice!
Le Meridien is in a middle of nowhere section of Cambridge that is not too scenic overall, but the hotel itself is very glamorous inside. The lobby is stunning and the outdoor cou...
rtyard garden is gorgeous (we had photos taken in both spots). The guest rooms were very nice. We had a suite - not quite as well maintained as I would expect (a crack in the coffee tale in the living area, a broken faucet fixture in the shower, and cables from the flat screen TV hanging down in the bedroom), but in the grand scheme of things, that didn't matter at all. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and we had many, MANY people back to the suite late night after the wedding with no complaints from anyone. We had a total of 8 or 9 rooms booked by guests in addition to our suite, and they kept us all on the same floor/close together with no problems at all. If you're picky or snobbish about straight up glamour, you'll go somewhere else but also pay a LOT more money. They gave us a very reasonable rate (179/night) for the guest rooms as well as for our suite. For the price, you can't beat it with a stick :)
I could not have been happier with Le Meridien as the venue for my ceremony and reception. We used the hotel's awesome roof-top garden for our ceremony, the ballroom for our recept...
ion and Sidney's Restaurant for our morning-after brunch. The event management team, especially Elana Kaye, is phenomenal. The food was top-notch and all of our guests who stayed at the hotel raved about their rooms. Le Meridien and Elana Kaye helped to make all of my wedding dreams come true!
