With over 11,000 square feet of available occasion space, this venue can comfortably accommodate a maximum of 200 attendees. There are a number of elegant rooms available to host a heartfelt wedding ceremony here. Both the Jackson and Sims spaces can seat up to 120 guests in a theatre-style layout. Each of these rooms can also be partitioned for your convenience. The Armand room can seat 80 ceremony attendees, while the Brays and Greens event areas can seat a maximum of 60 people each. For a spectacular open-air drinks reception, look no further than the rooftop bar and lounge. Here, guests can marvel at the panoramic city views that surround them as they mingle and sip champagne. ing my wedding reception - just by looking at pictures. I scheduled an appointment that same month with their Director of Events, Lily Davis. She was so kind to bring us to the hotel during a wedding setup, so we could have a better visual how the room looked decorated and put together. The Grand Ballroom is just simply gorgeous and has a contemporary/modern city vibe with panoramic windows capturing the Downtown Houston skyline. We both loved it and of course I wanted to go ahead and save our date, but my husband suggested we look at other venues as well. After a few weeks, my heart was settled on Le Meridien and we were under contract by mid-April for our February 2022 wedding.
Lily has all the traits you want in a event coordinator; she is knowledgeable, experienced, organized, transparent and importantly communicative! I was at ease from the start and she made the entire planning process very smooth and timely. We were always in touch via email and also scheduled in-person meetings to review the dinner menu, guest count, ballroom layout, reception timeline, etc. What I also really loved was being able to get ready in the Bridal Glam Suite - it was very spacious and had 3 makeup vanity's with lighting, which was perfect for my MUA! Lily also upgraded my husband's and in-laws rooms to a suite...how great is she? My husband and I definitely recommend Le Meridien as your venue! ed out to several, including some hotels, for pricing. After a couple of weeks of emails, phone calls, venue visits, Lily actually reached out to us via email and I got in touch with her. It was a breath of fresh air to speak with her. She was kind, friendly, DIRECT, and very helpful! We went to see the ballroom at Le Meridien, I don't think it was too long after that we were under contract.
Throughout the entire process of planning our reception at the hotel, Lily was always so responsive and always gave us very helpful advice in terms of logistics and planning. We had our food tasting with Lily, brought our coordinator with us, and they worked with us to create the perfect appetizers and meals for our guests (everything was delicious, lots of compliments from guests!). We had several hours between our ceremony at our church downtown, Annunciation Catholic Church, and the reception - Lily helped coordinate to have our dinner brought to us before the reception so that we would have more time to mingle with our guests as they ate dinner.
We also had access to the rooftop for pictures - absolutely LOVED the ways those turned out! Such beautiful views of the Houston skyline all around. We also reserved the Glam Room for the ladies in our family and I to get ready the morning of. Such a cute room with several vanities. I stayed in the room the night before our wedding, it was the perfect relaxing night before our big day!
BOTTOM LINE: There are so many small details I could go on and on about. Lily was unbelievably helpful, very responsive, always on top of things, very professional, and made sure we were happy and comfortable with everything before and on the day of our wedding. We could not have been happier with hosting our reception and guests at Le Meridien!

en it came down to a decision, we went with the Le Meridien Hotel in Downtown Houston. The hotel is new, well kept, and has sleek, modern finishes. While the ballroom has a nice city view and is a beautiful space for a wedding, what made our decision easy was the people. When we went to visit the hotel the 1st time, it was not even open yet. However, Special Events Manager, Lily Davis, made sure we were well taken care of. She arranged for a valet just for us, and introduced us to both the GM and the Head Chef. Everyone was so kind and we really felt like they rolled out the red carpet for us. There were several places we visited where the events coordinator left us with the impression that we would be so lucky to have our wedding there. But Lily really made us feel like they would be lucky if we were to be married there.
For any request we had, she always started from the mindset of how to make it happen. I am someone who asks a million questions, and she answered them all, right from the 1st phone call until the champagne was poured at our wedding. She really went the extra mile for us, and we were really pleased with the whole staff. Her colleague Daniel would run room reports for me whenever I asked (which was every week), the Chef made heart shaped pimento grilled cheese sandwiches for our event at our request, and everyone from the valets to the bartenders could not have been nicer or more accommodating.
There are a few really big purchases you make in your life, and it’s always good when you feel you made a good decision on those. Both my wife and I feel great about our decision to have our wedding at Le Meridien. I will be sure to call Lily and the folks at Le Meridien again for future events.

ll questions immediately and resolves obstacles with ease, and she really goes above and beyond to make your day special. She truly poured her heart into making our day one that we will remember for the rest of time. We love her so much and recommend her hands down!!!!! As for the venue- Le Meridien is such a beautiful hotel. The ballroom has 360 views of the city and the rooftop bar is outstanding. The food is incredible and the staff are so polite. We recommend to book your wedding reception here immediately!! And invite us!!!!!
