Originally from Myrtle Beach, SC, my husband and I recently moved into the area by way of Oregon for work and loved New Orleans so much that we decided to have our wedding here. All the typical stress that comes from planning a wedding was with me everyday, not to mention our nearest family members were 13hrs away and we had no familiarity with the area, local vendors, etc. Margaret was so incredibly helpful and accommodating to my budget, timeline and vision. I went to several places with a photo I found years ago which was the inspiration for my entire wedding vision. I went to a few local floral places and they felt the need to point out how all the flowers in my photo were out of season and proceeded to talk me into a new floral concept entirely. Margaret was able to take what I wanted for my wedding and create something even more beautiful than i could ever imagine, affordable, season appropriate, and keep with the theme and vibe I was going for- and didn't insult me in the process as the other shops did. I wasn't just another customer. I bought roses from her in bulk to have my friends throw then in mini vases for me day of, and she OFFERED to stay and provide her services free of charge so family didn't have to work on flowers. I couldn't be more grateful or more impressed with her heart and the customer service she was willing to provide. DON'T MISS OUT ON SUCH A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! :)

I can't say enough about Margaret! Since I know nothing about flowers, I let Margaret be creative with bouquets and boutonnieres (I almost forgot about them, until my fiance mentioned it and Margaret was sweet enough to add them in). I sent over a couple of pictures and they turned out perfectly! Margaret is so nice, professional, creative, and efficient with her responses. I highly recommend her for any and all your florist needs!

Margaret was fantastic from start to finish! She is very helpful and creative! She does beautiful work! She is definitely willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect. All of our flowers, bouquets, and centerpieces were absolutely gorgeous and perfect!! I couldn't have asked for anything better! She is very trustworthy and she knows a lot about what she does! Leaf + Petal NOLA helped me out even though they had other weddings booked the day of mine, PLUS I contacted them only a month before my wedding after my previous florist cancelled on me. I cannot explain how relieved they made me feel, and how beautiful the flowers were! It was such a pleasant surprise to see when we got to our reception and saw how beautiful the flowers were. Definitely worth the 5 star rating!!!

Even though I know next to nothing about flowers other than what colors I like, she gave me many suggestions and worked with me to come up with something that adhered to both my budget and my preferences. She is very prompt, very willing to converse back and forth about ideas and price, and a visionary when it comes to choosing and arranging flowers. I had such vibrant, unique bouquets for my wedding, and I received countless compliments from my bridesmaids and guests. I wanted bright, beautiful flowers with natural turquoise accents, and that's exactly what she gave me. I had planned to diy my flowers and about 2 months out I went into a panic! (How am I gonna keep them alive, where will I store them, how will I arrange them, im gonna have to go to my venu on my wedding day and set all this up!!) I found Margaret from Leaf & Petal through TheKnot. I was pretty much in panic mode when I contacted her, and let me some from the start she took all that stress away! She never made me feel bad either for being so last minute, or made me feel like it was an impossible thing to accomplish. She took away all my worries. I told her the budget I would like to stay around, and what type of flowers I liked and she put me at ease. I met up with her a few days later to get a better idea of everything. And even though some of my favorite flowers were premium flowers- I didnt want big tall centerpieces so she was able to make it work amd stay around my budget. She was always easy to reach, anytime I would start to spaz out, or have a question, or wanted to add something she always got back to me right away -& would always assure me I wasnt the worst bride ever (lol) or that different from most. It was easy to communicate, and easy to make payments. When my wedding day came, thanks to her, I was able to relax and enjoy the day and have fun with all my ladies (& not be thinking about flowers). & when I got to the venue all our bouquets, flower girl crowns, boutonnieres, and petals for flower girl baskets was all awaiting us and everything looked so lovely. The handtied bouquets down the ailse and petals all over looked wonderful -it was just enough to make the ceremony feel special. And inside the reception looked exactly how I'd pictured but better!!! Everything was lovely and looked perfect. I am so happy that I found her, she really made my wedding that much more special!!! (Thanks Margaret )

I can't even begin to explain how professional this florist is! She was able to create something from just a few ideas I had, was AHEAD of schedule and even took some great pictures of me in the process! ( I even purchased additional floral crowns for another event I had) If you have any event big or small, you need to call her!
