Margaret and Olivia were really great to work with and the best communicators out of any flower vendor I connected with. I was on a time crunch to find a vendor after my initial vendor fell through, and I feel so lucky that we landed with Margaret! She was incredibly punctual and professional, going back and forth with me to ensure that we made the most of our budget but also ensuring to execute the vision. She was always flexible/adaptable and even though I asked a million questions, she never hesitated to respond on time or follow up. I loved that she sent me a sample of what the flowers looked like the day before my wedding, it got me so excited to see them the day of! If you have the budget for it, you won't be disappointed in Leaf & Petal's delivery. I loved my flowers so much that I got my bouquet preserved so I never forget them!!

I've heard great things about this vendor which is why I hired them without doing much digging - however, I was fairly disappointed with the flowers the day of my wedding. I sent her photos of woodsy evergreens (I had a winter wedding) with draping willows cascading down... and honestly it kind of looked like she trimmed some palm trees and bushes from outside :( I sent her photos of what I wanted and she completely missed the mark. Maybe she was short-staffed or maybe she didn't have the type of greenery I was looking for, but because so many others had reviewed her highly, I didn't even question when she asked me to pay in full beforehand. I also asked her to decorate a staircase at the entry and she only decorated it like 2/3 of the way up? So it looked totally unfinished. I also paid $50 for a bridal comb that was like 3 inches wide.. It was so small. Hopefully if you decide to use her (she was very kind and professional), you do an in-person trial of what materials you want to use beforehand.

Ever since finding Margarets work on instagram I was instantly obsessed. She went above and beyond and made my venue look like a fairytale. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. When ever I show people pictures they gasp. She has the most impressive techniques and she is extremely fast and efficient. Communication during planning was amazing, she was one of the nicest people to work with! I wouldn’t change a thing.

Flowers were one of the most important details to me. I had followed Leaf+Petal for a while on Instagram and really admired Margaret's work so she was on the top of my list for wedding vendors. She was luckily available as she books up well in advance! While Leaf+Petal is on the higher price end, I had a certain vision and knew I could trust Margaret and her team to deliver exactly what I wanted because she's just so dang talented. She did not disappoint! The floral style and color was spot on with what I had envisioned. We received so many compliments on the floral columns from our ceremony as well as the floral "swag" on our welcome sign and both made for great backgrounds in photos at the reception for guests. On top of her floral work being absolutely beautiful and creative, Margaret and her assistant were always quick to answer any of my questions via email and were clear communicators. Leaf + Petal did an amazing job on our personals. My bouquet and bridesmaids' bouquets were stunning and exactly what I had hoped for, and the bouts and other personals were lovely. She also made me a simple, small flower crown that was delicate and perfect. I didn't want to take it off! Margaret was also incredibly helpful and understanding with all the date changes and other tweaks, and was great to work with. I highly recommend L+P!

Margaret was amazing to work with. Her floral artwork went with the exact aesthetic we wanted for our rustic glam wedding. She went above and beyond to deliver florals and greenery for our wedding. I just had a large New Orleans wedding this past weekend. As a Bride that LOVES flowers, I did a lot of research before choosing a florist. One of the selling points for Leaf and Petal was their awesome communication. With each one of my questions (and there were a lot) Margaret answered quickly and made me feel very comfortable. Upon first meeting her, I felt so comfortable with my decision. She gives so many options to brides and is very informative through the selection process. She creates masterpieces for a wide variety of styles and works great with other vendors. She exceeded all of my expectations!

Margaret is a great person to work with. From the beginning, she was replying to my email inquiries and making sure responses were being given in a timely manner. We did most of our decision making via email since this was a destination wedding for us. And when we finally got a chance to meet in person, I had to re-schedule my meeting time last minute, and she was so understanding and accommodating. She new the vision that I wanted, made her suggestions, made sure any other vendors that she had took work with were communicated exactly what we had discussed. And above anything else, all my flowers both for the wedding ceremony and reception were beautiful. I would highly recommend using this vendor, especially if your from out of town and need a florist who knows how to run their business and design at the same time.

My daughter found Leaf+Petal for her wedding in New Orleans after reading reviews and pouring over photos. Margaret designs the most extraordinary bouquets and floral arrangements, and I was beyond thrilled with her work. She is professional, very friendly, and worked with our budget. Her arrangements are gorgeous! The bridal bouquet was made with peonies, ranunculus, roses, and other floral buds. She made a large floral arch for the ceremony as well as arrangements for the guests' chairs at The Cabildo, and it literally transformed the place into an outdoor garden. The table arrangements at Marché were stunning and styled similarly to the bouquets for a seamless look from ceremony to reception! Margaret at Leaf+Petal was a perfect choice for us!

The flowers for the wedding were beyond PERFECT! Margaret did such a great job. I had seen her work and fell in love with everything she had on Instagram, so I gave her few details and she hit the nail on the head! Margaret has a unique way of understanding a vision and can easily transform it into reality. She transformed The Chicory into exactly what I had in mind with a combination of flowers, vines, cafe lights, and a variety of decorative candles. She and her team were easy to work with, easily accommodated our changes, and made time to do a final walk-through the week of the wedding to ensure that we had exactly what we wanted, and again, accommodated our change requests. Leaf + Petal did an amazing job and I highly recommend them.

I wish there were ten stars so I could double it!! Leaf and Petal was beyond amazing from the start! I had a Pinterest board and absolutely no idea where to start ... I basically know the names of three flowers total and they knew exactly how to guide me to what I didn’t even know I wanted! This was honestly the least stressful part of my wedding and I can’t recommend her enough!

Margaret’s work is amazing. I must admit that flowers were not one of my priorities while I was planning my wedding but my flowers ending up being one of my favorite things about my wedding. They were absolutely stunning. Margaret was the best! The flowers were exactly what I was hoping they'd be, which was amazing since I think I explained what I wanted in the vaguest terms possible. We got married the Saturday after Mardi Gras and even with the whole city shut down, she sent a shot of the bouquet on Ash Wednesday to make sure I didn't have any changes. Every bouquet and boutonniere was perfect, I cannot recommend her enough!

We even saved all of our flowers and greenery after the wedding, and they dried so nicely that we have them as decorations around our house. I cannot recommend Margaret highly enough. Of course the flowers were beautiful, but she was also just a dream to work with. We didn't have a huge floral budget but she never made us feel any less important than larger clients. And she was so patient with me as I went back and forth on a couple details! Due to our own last-minute scheduling changes, we had a friend set up our flowers at the church, but when she ran into trouble, Margaret immediately sent someone over to help. She clearly values both quality and customer service.

I can't say enough about Leaf + Petal, I wish I could give them 100 stars! I was probably the most unorganized bride in history but every single time I added a new item, they were so sweet and accommodating. And my bouquet!!! My GOODNESS, it completely captured my vision. Everything about L+P is wedding goals! Margaret is a dream to work with and if you've seen any of her photos, you know that everything she does is STUNNING! I remember telling her on the day of the wedding just to go with whatever she wanted to do because I knew I could trust her and literally the woman could never do anything that wouldn't look amazing. We had to make some modifications to the decor due to rain and tents, and Margaret stepped in and put greenery all throughout our tents to keep it looking cohesive and romantic. Super responsive and easy to get in touch with!

It was so great to work with Margaret and she really brought my floral visions to life! She helped transform our ceremony/reception space beautifully and even added greenery to our altar area (which was such a great surprise as I walked the down aisle). Everything was just how I had imagined it and my gorgeous bouquet is still going strong!

Oh Margaret and her gifts! Living 5 hours away from the city in which we were getting married required vendors that we could communicate with via email/social media. Margaret was responsive, understanding, and heard our ideas and ran with them! She did my bouquet for my bridal portraits and all of our flowers for our wedding day. Having to tweak and change things along the way, she was more than reasonable and worked with us the entire way. We couldn't have been more in love with how everything turned out!

Margaret and her team were AMAZING! Each time I emailed her she responded quickly and was always willing to speak on the phone. Each time I had a concern Margaret addressed it and came up with a solution that stayed us within our budget. Further, I really let Margaret take control of what the flowers would look like aside from the colors I wanted. My MOH thought I was crazy for not showing her exact pictures, but she brought us flowers that were beyond anything I could imagine. EVERYONE complimented them, even the photographer said they were her favorite flowers in a long time! 100% would recommend!!

My husband and I got married at the Audubon Clubhouse and it is no exaggeration when I say that the best decision I made during wedding planning was choosing Leaf + Petal as our florist. Margaret is exceedingly easy to communicate with (very fast email responses), passionate about her work, and turned our venue and outdoor ceremony into magic. She's also very accommodating and delivered my hair florals and bouquet/wedding party florals to my hotel the day of the ceremony. Clear communication can be difficult to find, but Margaret has it in spades and also works very well under pressure, as I've come to understand. For our wedding ceremony outside beneath the oak trees at the venue, I had requested a floral arch. It was cast iron and had been carefully weighted with stones, but the weather was so awful, a very strong wind blew it over, effectively crushing the flowers affixed to it. My husband was outside and witnessed the whole thing. He said Margaret quickly sprang into action and within minutes, had flowers replaced and the arch staked into the ground so securely that it wouldn't budge even when she gave it a hefty shove to test it. Everything was arranged so beautifully, I didn't know about any of this until my husband told me the next day. The arch was flawless and if we hadn't decided to get married in the middle of a rainstorm, I'm sure there wouldn't have been any setbacks at all, but Margaret responded beautifully to the challenge and exceeded our expectations in her masterpieces outside and inside the venue. My primary tip concerning Leaf + Petal is to book early to make sure you don't have to pick a different vendor (these guys are amazing) and order the candle package. The extra glow is phenomenal.

Amazing! The flowers were consistently beautiful. The first wedding was early summer with vibrant colors. The second an autumn wedding with more subtle colorsnm Margaret did BOTH weddings because her work is excellent and she is a delight to work with. i did hire her twice.....and absolutely would do it again for my third daughter.

Margaret is such a joy to work with! I found Leaf + Petal through the knot and started following her social media (warning: all of her arrangements/flower walls/decor are so gorgeous it will make you WANT to blow your flower budget) and I could not have been more impressed with her level of care and service. She stuck to my budget and helped me make decisions along the way that would keep costs down without sacrificing any details. We loved her so much my mother-in-law asked her to help with the rehearsal dinner too - which was a perfect teaser for the big day!

Margaret put together such beautiful arrangements for our natural-toned wedding. I didn't know exactly what I wanted, just something simple and classic. She got me talking to try to get to understand what I liked and what I was trying to achieve. Her team even spray-painted buckets copper to fill over-the-brim with baby's breath, a simple touch for our outdoor patio ceremony aisle. Flowers were just gorgeous. Margaret really helped us out when the bouquet for the bridal portraits froze in the hotel fridge! She is straightforward and everyone is on the same page. We got married in the French Quarter in NOLA 3 weeks ago, and hiring Leaf + Petal was one of the best decisions that we made in the entire wedding planning process. As other reviews have said, Margaret is a total artist and professional - she knew our venues (Hermann-Grima and Broussard's) well and covered every detail in our first meeting, showing me lots of references to make sure she clearly understood my vision (and budget!) and even suggested ways to make it even better (as I'm not a big "flower person"). In the days before our wedding, she sent me photos of my bouquet and patiently addressed my (multiple rounds) of feedback based on my vision, what was in season and what she knew would look good. When the bouquets arrived on the day of, they looked SPECTACULAR. My bridesmaids couldn't get over how breathtaking the flowers were and how much they looked like all of the "inspo" photos that I had showed them over the prior months. I also had Margaret create a flower comb for my hair, which I absolutely adored (and matched my groom's boutonniere so well). I think it was my favorite part of my whole outfit! Margaret also put together an absolutely breathtaking chuppah for our ceremony, incorporating my late grandfather's tallis and more gorgeous flowers and greens. She also did an amazing job working with our budget to repurpose ceremony flowers around the reception venue and use candles/greens/terrariums to make the space feel warm, romantic and just a bit ethereal. Just perfect - we couldn't have asked for anything better!!

I love my wedding bouquet! The colour and flower choices were spot on and I couldn't have pick them better myself. Margret was super easy to work with! She coordinated with all my vendors to have the ceremony site and the restaurant beautifully setup. The greens around the chandelier was so whimsical! All the flower arrangement were so beautiful, the design were out of magazine! I wish we could've take them home to New York with us!!

I had such a particular look in mind when thinking about my bouquet, and it was like Margaret plucked it out of my head and put it right in my hands. I only got my bridal bouquet here (I did the rest of the flowers myself), and I was worried I would be overlooked a little since I wasn't a big customer - but those worries were totally unfounded. I knew nothing about flowers, and they were actually kind of a “ok I know I need to get this done” thing, but she made me care about them, and I was so blown away by how beautiful her creations for my wedding were. I booked Margaret 18 months in advance, but not a single detail was looked over or forgotten. I am so, so happy I found her!

There are no words to describe how much joy my bridal bouquet brought me on the day of our wedding. It was the most gorgeous bouquet I have ever laid eyes on. Margaret did the most incredible job of infusing my personality into the bouquet right down to the choice of greenery and the magical touch of jasmine, rosemary and bay leaves. I would recommend Leaf + Petal NOLA over and over again! Margaret created all of the flowers for our ceremony -- bouquet, boutonnieres, and corsages for our mothers. I met with her once to go over our vision for the flowers. She created absolutely perfect arrangements that incorporated all of the things I loved about the photos I had shown her while adding her own personal twist. The flowers felt unique and personalized! I received a TON of compliments on my bouquet -- and the beautiful pops of color that added to our color scheme. The flowers were delivered directly to my hotel room on the day of the wedding with plenty of time before the ceremony started. Margaret sent me a picture of the bouquet the night before the wedding, so I knew exactly what I would receive on the day of the event. I really appreciated the outreach on the day before and the flowers were even more beautiful in person! Margaret is really great to work with! She is quick to respond to emails and very adaptable. I actually added additional boutonnieres and corsages about a month before the wedding and Margaret was able to accommodate that need. When I told her that we'd be having a vintage wedding at the Federal Ballroom, she offered a variety of suggestions to help us plan out the rest of our non-floral decorations. She is a wealth of knowledge and very clearly passionate about what she does! On top of all that, I found the company to be reasonable priced. Margaret worked with us to make sure we stayed within our budget. We were incredibly happy with outcome. I would recommend Leaf + Petal to anyone!

Margaret met with us to help plan our destination wedding to New Orleans on 2/11/17 and brought so many ideas for my natural and architecturally designed wedding. Our wedding was a “flip” where the ceremony room was flipped to the reception during our cocktail hour with seating for 150 people. The guests were blown away that the room had been transformed into this romantic, candlelit reception with greenery trailing down each table and beautiful florals throughout. I completely trusted her from the first time I met her because she is so knowledgeable and talented. Absolutely gorgeous. So easy to work with, prompt responses, and the most beautiful bouquets I have ever seen. We did just personal floral (bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, and a ranunculus hair comb), and they turned out so beautifully. She worked with us within our budget, and helped us to put together a package that worked out so nicely. Would 100% work with her again!

I live in Boston, MA and got married in New Orleans, LA. The majority of my planning happened on The Knot. Luckily, I found Leaf + Petal NOLA, and it was one of the best decisions I made in terms of hiring. Margaret is a true artist! I was immediately attracted to her natural and unique style in her photos. Not to mention, I spoke with Margaret on the phone for a while before I hired her, and she was the sweetest person and made me feel so comfortable about the process. She is not pushy. She is calm, collected, and makes gentle suggestions if you have no idea what you are doing (I had no idea). She explained the many different options out there, and though I was initially lost in the process, she made me feel confident about what I was doing. Margaret is responsive and very organized. Margaret is AMAZING and I cannot recommend her enough. She is creative and full of ideas, even for a bride like me, who wasn't sure what I wanted. Her Instagram is full of beautiful flowers and believe me, she'll make your bouquet just as stunning! For our wedding, she made a flower crown for the rehearsal, 7 bridesmaid bouquets, a bride bouquet, and a boutonniere for my groom. After first contacting her and talking with her on the phone, I knew she was the florist for me. I gave her my price range and sent her a couple photos and she immediately understood the look/vibe I was going for. She was extremely communicative, prompt, and friendly. She even squeezed me into a busy weekend while I was visiting New Orleans (i was an out of town bride) just to touch base and meet face to face. The moral of the story is jump on hiring Margaret. She's very sought after and you won't regret it. She's wonderful and your flowers will be too!

Margaret did an incredible job!!! Not only did she make our venue look like a stunning, romantic garden, she was amazing from day one. She did such a great job about walking us through everything, working with the budget we needed to keep and being so great about working with us long distance. I had a destination wedding in New Orleans and I wanted to have all local vendors. I never was able to meet Margaret in person until the day of the wedding. I let Margaret know the colors and wanted and gave her free reign over the flowers ( I wasn't picky). Once my bouquet was delivered, I was amazed at how beautiful it was! She also did mini arrangements down the aisle. Once I walked into my dinner reception room, I was in awe at the gorgeous garland Margaret had made for the long table. Margaret from Leaf and Petal was wonderful to work with did a beautiful job with our wedding flowers and decor! Margaret was the absolute best and a pleasure to work with! Our flowers were gorgeous and you could genuinely feel how excited she was for our event. As an out of town bride she made the planning process as easy as could be. Her work is beautiful and I feel lucky to have had her for our event.

I gave Margaret a really vague idea of what I wanted - "Frida Kahlo at Studio 54 in the tropics." Boy did she deliver! My bouquet was this amazing fecant, tropical forest! The venue was decorated beautifully and she even managed to integrate all the weird decor I gave her. She was also super responsive and great at suggesting ideas to make things pop. Can't recommend her enough, especially if you are going for a more modern, bohemian aesthetic.

I had such a wonderful experience working with Leaf + Petal NOLA. Margaret is so easy to work with. I sent her a picture of a bouquet that I loved and she really brought it to life for me. Since I was coming in from out of town, I wasn't able to stop by and meet her in person, but that wasn't an obstacle. She sent me a picture of the bouquet the week of the wedding to see what I thought, and she had completely captured my vision. Originally from Myrtle Beach, SC, my husband and I recently moved into the area by way of Oregon for work and loved New Orleans so much that we decided to have our wedding here. All the typical stress that comes from planning a wedding was with me everyday, not to mention our nearest family members were 13hrs away and we had no familiarity with the area, local vendors, etc. Margaret was so incredibly helpful and accommodating to my budget, timeline and vision. I went to several places with a photo I found years ago which was the inspiration for my entire wedding vision. I went to a few local floral places and they felt the need to point out how all the flowers in my photo were out of season and proceeded to talk me into a new floral concept entirely. Margaret was able to take what I wanted for my wedding and create something even more beautiful than i could ever imagine, affordable, season appropriate, and keep with the theme and vibe I was going for- and didn't insult me in the process as the other shops did. I wasn't just another customer. I bought roses from her in bulk to have my friends throw then in mini vases for me day of, and she OFFERED to stay and provide her services free of charge so family didn't have to work on flowers. I couldn't be more grateful or more impressed with her heart and the customer service she was willing to provide. DON'T MISS OUT ON SUCH A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! :)

I can't say enough about Margaret! Since I know nothing about flowers, I let Margaret be creative with bouquets and boutonnieres (I almost forgot about them, until my fiance mentioned it and Margaret was sweet enough to add them in).
