Leah's Pralines is a candy company in New Orleans, LA, that offers homemade sweet treats as wedding favors. First established in 1944, this family-owned confection store works to provide each client with high-quality praline favors. They will make sure each guest leaves your receptions with favors as sweet as your love story. Founder Leah Johnson first opened her candy store in the early 1940s to share her delicious recipes for people throughout the French Quarter. The current team now uses the same recipes to share with guests of all ages. Leah's Pralines offers both traditional-sized and miniature pralines separately wrapped for easy sharing. They will customize your packaging logo to feature your names, date, monogram, or other unique design of your choosing. Whether you're curating gifts for all your attendees or for your wedding party, Leah's Pralines will strive to bring joy in every bite.

We had Leah's Pralines provide our wedding guest favors and they were a huge hit! We were able to add our custom logo to each one and they were absolutely delicious. We had guests coming back and asking for more.

The pralines were good, and the price was reasonable. I was very happy with them. The only reason for 4 stars was because they arrived a day late.

We ordered 100 pralettes as wedding favors and they were all gone by the end of the night. I think that speaks for itself. The guests LOVED them. The ordering was super easy and if I ever have another event in New Orleans, I would totally order these again. Also, the labels and packaging were beautiful.

We wanted a very New Orleans favor and Leah's Pralines were perfect. They tasted fabulous, and Susie made us a custom label. The customer service was wonderful, and the favors were a hit at the wedding.

I wanted a wedding favor that was unique to New Orleans (not your ordinary Jordan Almonds or M&Ms), and that wasn't something cheap and plastic that would either collect dust in someone's junk drawer or just be thrown away. That's how we got the idea to order pralines. Ordering from Leah's was simple and easy. Go to their website and it's easy to choose colors and the design of your custom label. Once you've decided what you want, you just have to call and leave them your credit info. And on the day of pick up, parking was a bit hard to find in the French Quarter. Just give them a call that you're on your way, and they'll even bring out your order to your car. The pralines were delicious and the custom made labels came out exactly how I wanted.

We ordered the regular pralines from Leah's pralines for our wedding as part of our favors and we couldn't be happier with the results. Although our wedding was in New York, my husband is from Louisiana so we wanted to ensure they were authentic...which they certainly were...and delicious! They were wrapped individually and sent very well so that none were ruined in shipment. They also offer custom stickers to apply to them if you'd like. The only note I'd give for those outside of the Louisiana area--if you want to have them shipped to you, they require over-night shipping to keep the product freshest. It was a great requirement to keep them fresh, but just note that while you're budgeting. Everyone I spoke to there was so nice and accommodating--even after a big storm hit their area and they were out of power for a while. I would recommend them in an instant.

I was very happy with the praline wedding favors we bought from Leah's Pralines for our wedding. They were delicious and we got pretty magnolia stickers on them with our names and wedding date, which went along with our wedding flowers (which included magnolias). They were a little pricey ($1.99 each) but everyone enjoyed them (and we have a bunch left that we froze and they are still good after having been frozen).

Very friendly staff and the pralines came out great. Our guests loved them and they were super cute. They even brought the pralines to my car so I did not have to worry about parking in the quarter.

I ordered about 130 of the Pralettes and wish I'd ordered more so I could have had some left over. These were delicious!

Leah's Pralines are delicious! I used them as my wedding favors. I got the 2 oz Pralines instead of the Pralettes, and was pleasantly surprised at how big they were. I was able to order them at my convenience by calling them, and was able to design my labels with the colors of my wedding! It was easy to order them, and besides parking downtown, easy to pick them up!

We got the individuality wrapped pralettes with the personalized sticker on them. Was able to leave a fabric swatch with them so they could match the color. They were all gone after the wedding so they must have been good!

Leahs Pralines first appeared in the New Orleans City Directory in 1933 under the name Cooks Confections. In 1944, Leah Johnson bought the business. While she originally kept the name Cooks, over the years the shop became known Leahs Pralines. In 1984, Elna Stokes, Leahs niece, bought the shop from her aunt. The store is still run by Elna and her family, making Leahs Pralines a 3 generation family business. Today Leahs family continues the tradition with the same recipes and standards of excellence started by their aunt all those years ago.
