We lucked out so much with hiring Monte and Legacy Entertainment!! Not only did we get a stellar band and dj combo (which was rare to find in all my searching) but Monte helped us plan the day and make sure it was organized and everything we wanted!! After our first meeting I knew we were in good hands. Monte has so much experience and he is such amazing human! We got so much positive feedback from our guests about the band. I would HIGHLY recommend Monte and Legacy Entertainment it’ll be the easiest and best decision you have to make!!!

If you are looking for that vintage jazz vibe that creates a sophisticated, timeless impression, the Legacy Jazz Band is a wedding band in Plano, TX, that delivers an unforgettable experience. Inspired by the elegance of the old Hollywood swing era, our performances bring style, romance, and musical excellence to weddings and luxury events throughout Texas and beyond. At the heart of the Legacy Jazz Band are vocalists Monte and Aubrey Slaver—the only professional father-daughter jazz vocal duo in Texas. Their rare musical bond creates an authenticity and emotional connection that audiences instantly connect with. Picture your guest arriving for the cocktail hour while live instrumental jazz is playing in the background. Once the wedding couple is ready to join the guests, the band would play a specially chosen song for the introduction. Once the couple is safely in the room, the band would transition to vocal jazz and play through dinner. One of the highlights of the evening will be the couples first dance. We are happy to accommodate any requests for this dance. When dinner is finished, it is time for the DJ to crank up the energy and get the dancing started. We feature classics and duets made famous by legendary artists such as Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole, Tony Bennett, Louis Armstrong, Michael Bublé, Billie Holiday, and many more. Legacy Entertainment provides clients with a comprehensive wedding planning guide, including curated song suggestions and expert guidance. This ensures every detail is thoughtfully planned and every moment flows seamlessly. Monte and Aubrey are perfectly suited to perform for your wedding reception, corporate event, community event, anniversary party, festival, grand opening, or holiday celebration. Our presence elevates any event, creating an atmosphere of elegance, authenticity, and lasting memories.

assists with the timeline/flow, and is quick to adjust as needed. I didn't have to pay attention to the clock or worry about what was supposed to happen next. Monte took care of the whole evening. I only wish we could have partied longer but in Covid times, it was the best reception one could hope for.

eeze!!! He met with us multiple times during the planning process to get to know us and what we wanted. He was very professional, organized, and had great attention to detail. He helped with the timeline and music leading up to the wedding reception and worked with our planner to run the show on the night of; our night would not have been as great as it was if we didn’t have Monte! We had the band perform during the first 2 hours of the reception and Monte DJ for the last 2 hours of the reception; this was a perfect setup! If we could do it all over again, we wouldn’t change a thing. Highly recommend Monte and The Legacy Jazz Band!!!

Everyone at my wedding raved about how wonderful Monte and his band performed! We decided to split the evening between live music and DJ, both of which monte and his band were able...

to accommodate. We hired the seven membered jazz band during cocktail hour and dinner. The band very talented and was able to learn new songs for our walkout and first dance. The songs were very romantic and provided the perfect atmosphere. Additionally, Monte was the perfect MC and was able to keep the flow of the wedding as he announced dances, toasts, and cake cutting. When dancing starting, we switched to DJ and every song drew a huge crowd of dancers. My husband and I could not be happier with the band and we highly recommend!

Monte was awesome! He pretty much ran the show, and he played great music!!! I sent him a list of songs I thought would be fun to dance to during the dancing part of the reception,...

and he played every single one of them, so that was great. He also let a whole bunch of us do some Karaoke songs, which was a blast. I would definitely hire him again for another event, should there be a need.
