Very professional and thorough. So easy to work with and reasonably priced. Showed up on time. He has a list of questions that really helped us plan the event. The music was just what we wanted at a volume appropriate for the ages of the guests. With the pre-reception prep that we did, the whole thing ran flawlessly. I were lucky to get him and I would highly recommend him.

At the heart of the Legacy Jazz Band are vocalists Monte and Aubrey Slaver—the only professional father-daughter jazz vocal duo in Texas. Their rare musical bond creates an authenticity and emotional connection that audiences instantly connect with.
Picture your guest arriving for the cocktail hour while live instrumental jazz is playing in the background. Once the wedding couple is ready to join the guests, the band would play a specially chosen song for the introduction. Once the couple is safely in the room, the band would transition to vocal jazz and play through dinner. One of the highlights of the evening will be the couples first dance. We are happy to accommodate any requests for this dance. When dinner is finished, it is time for the DJ to crank up the energy and get the dancing started.
We feature classics and duets made famous by legendary artists such as Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole, Tony Bennett, Louis Armstrong, Michael Bublé, Billie Holiday, and many more.

Monte got his start in his early 80’s hair band. This journey has taken on many evolution's, covering everything from heavy metal, 50’s/60’s, R&B, Top-40, and eventually growing roots in a place he has found perfectly suited for his natural crooning voice. Dallas became his home after touring the United States and Canada in various bands. Over the span of his career he has performed with AC/DC, BJ Thomas, The Shirelles, Lenny Welch, Lou Christie, Frankie Ford, Danny and the Juniors, Trini Lopez.
