Perfect Wedding Combination-Live Vintage Jazz & DJ

Legacy Entertainment offers a unique wedding experience that combines two popular wedding preferences. The sophistication and elegance of live vintage jazz music, and the ability to accommodate all music genres with the benefits of a mobile disc jockey. We strive to preserve the timing, swagger and traditional style that made these songs so memorable. Our arrangements are just like the popular versions you are used to hearing. We feature the music of Frank Sinatra , Bobby Darin, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole and Michael Buble, just to name a few. Picture your guest arriving for the cocktail hour while live instrumental jazz is playing in the background. Once the wedding couple is ready to join the guests, the band would play a specially chosen song for the introduction. Once the couple is safely in the room, the band would transition to vocal jazz and play through dinner. One of the highlights of the evening will be the couples first dance. We are happy to accommodate any requests for this dance. When the special dances are finished, it is time for the DJ to crank up the tunes, and get the dancing started. We not only provide the live jazz and emcee, but also provide the direction and assistance in the planning process. We do this by providing a detailed wedding planning guide that is designed specifically to integrate the live jazz and DJ elements of the day, as well as inspire creativity, embrace individuality, and spark imagination. This wedding planning guide includes a flash drive with all the song suggestions mentioned through out the planner. When it is all said and done and everyone has gone home, what will you and your guests remember? The cake? The food? When you look back, what will most influence the memory? The answer will most likely be how much they enjoyed the music and dancing. Our wedding package will add the “WOW FACTOR” that is sure to make your legacy event memorable.

Very professional and thorough. So easy to work with and reasonably priced. Showed up on time. He has a list of questions that really helped us plan the event. The music was just what we wanted at a volume appropriate for the ages of the guests. With the pre-reception prep that we did, the whole thing ran flawlessly. I were lucky to get him and I would highly recommend him.

Monte was great! He was flexible, schedule ended up changing a little bit at the wedding and Monte was great and very helpful. Music choices were great and so were the lights. He was responsive with his emails and has an in person meeting with us before the wedding.

I couldn't have been happier with Monte and Legacy Entertainment. He kept the evening running smoothly and the dance floor going all night. I got so many complements during the evening. He was such a such a big help through the planning process, which gave me lots of comfort along the way. Highly recommend.

this band is marvelous!!! I don't stop to have a full of complements for a such good taste as my guesses said. All my friends enjoyed so much the jazz , as for my , the night was my dream come true. the style that Mr Monte Slaver is unique. definitely the best desicion choosing this band.

I used Monte as the DJ for my wedding reception and highly recommend! He truly cares about your special event and does so much more than play music. He wants to set the right tone, assists with the timeline/flow, and is quick to adjust as needed. I didn't have to pay attention to the clock or worry about what was supposed to happen next. Monte took care of the whole evening. I only wish we could have partied longer but in Covid times, it was the best reception one could hope for.

We absolutely loved Monte and Aubrey! Their planning guide made laying out the reception timeline a breeze (even while planning from afar). We were absolutely blown away by their talent the day of! We still receive compliments about the band, and it was the first thing our guests mentioned to us the day of. Our venue had another wedding on another floor the same day, and we heard the other band...Legacy was infinitely better! Monte was also an amazing DJ, so definitely book them!!!!

We got married a year ago and we still talk about how perfect our day was, including Monte and The Legacy Jazz Band! Monte was amazing to work with and made the entire process a breeze!!! He met with us multiple times during the planning process to get to know us and what we wanted. He was very professional, organized, and had great attention to detail. He helped with the timeline and music leading up to the wedding reception and worked with our planner to run the show on the night of; our night would not have been as great as it was if we didn’t have Monte! We had the band perform during the first 2 hours of the reception and Monte DJ for the last 2 hours of the reception; this was a perfect setup! If we could do it all over again, we wouldn’t change a thing. Highly recommend Monte and The Legacy Jazz Band!!!

Everyone at my wedding raved about how wonderful Monte and his band performed! We decided to split the evening between live music and DJ, both of which monte and his band were able to accommodate. We hired the seven membered jazz band during cocktail hour and dinner. The band very talented and was able to learn new songs for our walkout and first dance. The songs were very romantic and provided the perfect atmosphere. Additionally, Monte was the perfect MC and was able to keep the flow of the wedding as he announced dances, toasts, and cake cutting. When dancing starting, we switched to DJ and every song drew a huge crowd of dancers. My husband and I could not be happier with the band and we highly recommend!

Monte was a god-send for our wedding! Our wedding was pretty non-traditional - including our music choices, and he nailed the execution of it. He is incredibly professional and personable - and the music went off without a hitch. Everyone told us later they had never been to a more fun wedding - and a lot of that had to do with the music!! I would 100% recommend him.

Monte was awesome! He pretty much ran the show, and he played great music!!! I sent him a list of songs I thought would be fun to dance to during the dancing part of the reception, and he played every single one of them, so that was great. He also let a whole bunch of us do some Karaoke songs, which was a blast. I would definitely hire him again for another event, should there be a need.

Monte got his start in his early 80’s hair band. This journey has taken on many evolution's, covering everything from heavy metal, 50’s/60’s, R&B, Top-40, and eventually growing roots in a place he has found perfectly suited for his natural crooning voice. Dallas became his home after touring the United States and Canada in various bands. Over the span of his career he has performed with AC/DC, BJ Thomas, The Shirelles, Lenny Welch, Lou Christie, Frankie Ford, Danny and the Juniors, Trini Lopez.
