Legacy String Trio

The Legacy String Trio provided music for my wedding ceremony this past April, and we are so happy with our choice of musicians! Communication was prompt and easy-going, and working out logistical things like cues and transitions went very smoothly. They played beautifully, both when it came to pieces already in their repertoire and the pieces that they arranged for our ceremony- the both of us almost started crying more than once! They gave us exactly what we wanted, and we couldn’t have been happier.

These beautiful ladies were beyond anything I could have ever imagined. Their talent is priceless!!

Legacy String Trio was one of the most highlighted parts from our guests on our wedding day. They have a huge list to choose from and even offered to learn a song if they didn't have it. It was a great way to add some personalization into the fun - Game of Thrones/Office theme songs (a few of the grooms favorite shows). Then I was able to have the traditional side for the ceremony. It was the best of both worlds. Only sad I didn't get to listen to them more!! Highly recommend!!

We were thrilled with Legacy String Trio’s performance for our July 2021 wedding ceremony in Providence, RI! If you or a loved one is looking to hire a string trio for a special occasion, I can adamantly tell you that hiring Legacy Trio was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Our wedding was January 25 (lucky, I know) at the Providence Public Library, and Annie and her fellow musicians truly made the space and ceremony magical. I had a very specific request when I reached out to Annie, which was that I wanted one of my very dear friends to sing me down the aisle and if it would be possible for the trio to accompany him. The answer was immediately yes and Annie assured me that all would be taken care of, I just had to connect them with my friend. Annie was incredibly responsive, flexible and clear about what they could do for our ceremony. We were given a helpful sheet to fill out regarding song choices and their repertoire which made it very easy for us to choose which songs we wanted to include in the ceremony. Watching through our wedding video, listening to Legacy Trio and my friend sing me down the aisle will never not have me in tears. The swell of the string instruments filled the beautiful space and elevated the entire ceremony. Truth be told, I heard them practicing with my friend just before the ceremony and I couldn’t even hold it together then. Their artistry as musicians shines through, they could not be more professional and their price is affordable. I had always wanted a string trio playing during my ceremony and the girls of Legacy String Trio made that wish a perfect reality. Annie is very easy to work with, professional, very responsive and very clear up front. We had them play contemporary selections before our ceremony and then more traditional during and all were done flawlessly. We got so many compliments on how fun and beautiful everything was that they played. It adds a beautiful, personal touch to your day and I cannot recommend these ladies enough.

Their music list was so diverse and included things that perfectly embodied my husbands and I's tastes. They were super friendly on the phone and in email and were always open for questions, for which I have many. I am not going to lie, I was so nervous and focused about walking down the aisle I did not hear the music but all my friends and family said not only were they friendly and nice but they played wonderfully. I found the Legacy String Trio online while starting to plan the wedding. In fact, they were one of the first vendors that we picked! I always pictured myself walking down the aisle while string musicians played Canon in D, and I picked Legacy String Trio to make that moment happened to me. They did so wonderfully! Legacy String Trio played at our wedding on July 29th, 2017 and they were amazing! First of all, they are VERY affordable (which is one of the most important factors for any couple getting married). Yet in addition to their affordability, they are extremely talented musicians, and accommodating professionals to the tenth degree. They worked with the organist at my church and expressed enthusiasm about every idea I had for my wedding. Annie is a joy to speak with and is so easy-going and kind. Annie with her trio are nothing short of fantastic! The trio played prelude, processional and recessional music at my traditional Catholic church ceremony in the North End. We might have had one phone call throughout the process, but she did offer to meet in person if I felt like I needed to. They performed a mix of classical and modern music - Clair de Lune and Electric Love by Borns were two songs. It was more beautiful than I imagined. The Legacy String Trio went above and beyond for our September 25th wedding in Narragansett!!! All three ladies are so wonderful and easy to work with, and I had absolutely zero worries when it came to my ceremony and cocktail hour music. I am a musician myself, so I had pretty high expectations for my wedding music, and these ladies far exceeded them! I had fallen in love with a piece that they had not played before, but they were so flexible and open to using the opportunity to add something new to their repertoire. It sounded amazing! I also threw the trio for a bit of a loop when I requested them to accompany two singers for a hymn that I had arranged myself. I definitely identify as a procrastinator, and I didn't even send the Trio the music for this hymn until very close to the big day. Not only did they play it perfectly, but they sent me a recording so the singers could rehearse with it! And of course, when the singers (who were my two best friends) began to cry (happy tears!) during the performance, the trio remained totally professional, and kept playing until the girls could sing again. When I asked for the Beatle's "Here Comes the Sun" for our recessional, Annie immediately said of course, even though it wasn't on their list. Basically, these extremely talented ladies can do it all, and are so willing to do whatever it takes to make your day what you have always imagined. They are professional, kind, seasoned, creative, and so beautifully musical. I couldn't have asked for a better ensemble for my wedding. If you are looking for unforgettable music to help paint the backdrop of your best day ever, do not hesitate to book these ladies!

We hired a duo for our ceremony. They have an amazing repertoire of songs they already know, AND learned a new song for our ceremony, AND coordinated with our wedding singer so she was able to practice to their music in advance. The women arrived on time and were professional the entire time. I would absolutely recommend them and will hire them again for future events as they arise! And their rate is a steal!

These ladies are fabulous. My husband and I used Legacy Trio for our ceremony music and cocktail hour for our wedding on June 3, 2016. We had requested "How Long Will I Love You" by Ellie Goulding which was not in their repertoire, so Emily (cellist) wrote a beautiful arrangement for us. Since I only had a few bridesmaids I wanted all of us to walk down to the same song. I thought it would be silly to have her arrange a whole song and only play 30 seconds of it. About a week before the wedding I was told by a third party that this was not the thing to do. I should have my own song, such as "Here Comes the Bride" so people would know when to stand. Being a week before the wedding I was a bit emotional, so I ended up talking to Annie (violinist/violist) about it. She said they could absolutely add music to the ceremony but it was ultimately my day and they would do whatever I wanted. She explained that there is no right or wrong way to come down the aisle. Everyone will know I'm the bride and I don't need a specific song to cue people. I ended up sticking to the original plan but I loved that she was so easy to talk to, flexible, and very professional. I would highly recommend them.

We had Annie on violin for our December 2015 wedding, accompanying the church's music director on piano. She is extremely talented. We asked her to do our wedding on short notice, and she played flawlessly. I had always dreamed of having Pachelbel's Canon in our wedding ceremony, and the addition of a violin was perfect. We recently used Legacy String Trio to play at our outdoor, August 20th wedding and were very pleased! We decided to go with the violin and cello duo to play a mix of contemporary and more traditional arrangements to fit our style. The girls were a great help in recommending pieces from their current repertoire list and even arranged an odd request (The Jurassic Park theme song) for the same price. My walk from the front of the Inn to the ceremony altar was very far so I was only able to hear the bridal processional that I chose (Can't Help Falling in Love) but our guests are still telling us how great the music was a month later. We would definitely suggest using Legacy Trio for any special event to add a classy touch.
