essional as we laid out our rather lofty plans for a rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception for over 100 attendees not to include the bridal party. This may seem like an everyday occurrence in this industry, however our timeline was 5 weeks. Not a flinch from anyone as we described our somewhat unusual rehearsal menu and extravagant reception menu. Theresia simply smiled at us and said, “not a problem”, and proceeded to discuss linens and flowers. We felt so at ease with everyone throughout the following weeks as the staff touched base with us regularly to see if we needed any help. My daughter and I sat at the clubhouse for breakfast just days prior to her wedding and watched all the linens, centerpieces, and flowers arrive. People bustling everywhere with specific missions to complete. Alexandra spoke of how special they made her feel, as if watching all of her youthful dreams of a wedding coming true. I will never forget her face when she saw the end product for the first time and how it took her breath away, tearfully whispering, “it’s perfect mom”. The staff was amazing as the bridal party readied themselves for the wedding, showering them with fruit, cheese, beverages, and any other assistance needed. The ceremony was organized flawlessly, even with Mother Nature’s cruel humor. Not one guest noticed the changes being made behind the scenes and not one drop of rain touched a single person as Theresia was prepared with umbrellas and staff to escort us. The food was impeccable and could have shamed any of the upscale restaurants in downtown Charleston that I have dined in. I never worried about anything that day, and apparently neither did my husband who seemed happy with his wallet! I will be using Legend Oaks for several upcoming events in our family and look forward to knowing that the same expectations and standards will remain. Allison and Alexandra

Southern plantation wedding, but without the price of one. The entire site is so picturesque. The road leading to the clubhouse is lined with beautiful, old, oak trees. The ceremony site is in the shade of live oaks. It’s peaceful and beautiful. The staff was amazing, particularly on the day-of. We did opt to pay the (very reasonable) extra fee to have Theresia (the event coordinator at Legend Oaks) coordinate our rehearsal and wedding day, and it was worth every penny. She knows exactly what to do and how everything should flow. She made sure we all knew where we were supposed to be, and our ceremony started precisely on time. Theresia went above and beyond by making sure our cake was stored in the fridge until dinner so that it wouldn’t melt in the June heat. The staff was very attentive to not just the bridal party, but to our guests as well. There is so much stress when you plan a wedding, and so many details to think about – the last thing a couple wants to do is stress out about decorations, set-up, and take-down on their wedding day. Basic set-up and take-down was part of our package, and the ceremony and reception areas looked better than I could have imagined. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. The food was excellent as well, and I really liked how much control we had over the bar package. The last thing I wanted was a surprise bar tab at the end of the night, so we were able to put a dollar cap on consumption. My husband and I are so happy we chose to be married at Legend Oaks. Our guests loved the venue as well and we had several say it was the nicest wedding they’d ever been to. It was perfect, and I can’t wait to see our wedding pictures!

The kids made new best friends out of Lori & the young lady working the bar who provided them with endless Shirley Temple's, Roy Rogers' & Maraschino Cherries. Our 3YO daughter starting calling her, her "helper" & she was so sweet & obliged her every desire. Theresia surprised us with 2 beautiful gold chairs for our sweetheart table, which was so kind & thoughtful. These are just a couple of examples of how they will go out of their way to make your day more amazing than you could have ever dreamed of. God blessed us with the ability to be able to have our wedding here & if you are in the position to do so, I would recommend that you have yours here as well.

I was really stressing and this was a nice surprise from the stories I have heard from friends who have been married recently! I was able to get dressed onsite. The staff was friendly and helpful to the bridal party and our guests. The ceremony site is beautiful and the food was delicious! Theresia handled the entire event and took care of all the timing on events with the photographer and the DJ. The bartender was awesome she handled it just the way we had discussed with Theresia so our tab was the amount we were expecting. A quiet cozy venue just outside of Charleston, perfect for a festive, September evening outside under the stars, surrounded with huge gorgeous oaks draped with Spanish moss; with family and friends. And Legend Oaks' event coordinator came along with the magic! Cannot say enough about this beautiful person, Mrs. Theresia Ware. She put her heart into each and every detail, as if it were her own daughter's wedding. We brought in our pieces, shared our vision and she made the venue even more beautiful than imagined. No detail was missed or insignificant. When the hen and rooster went missing, someone was out there to rescue...truly! Theresia was pleasant and helpful during planning with emails and phone calls. Legend Oaks is actually in Summerville- suburb right outside of Charleston- where we were able to have my dream outdoor reception and even get more for our money (being outside of the city a little and having their own equipment). Theresia Ware is the Event Coordinator at Legend Oaks and is in one word, amazing. She decorated everything beautifully with what we brought her to display or use in our celebration and no detail was too small or considered "unimportant" if it was important to me. She went above and beyond to help with any and everything she could that Wednesday through Sunday ("Wedding Week") and was right there with us through the entire reception... I have a feeling that isn't the norm and many places are only concerned with the block of time you're actually "paying for." I can't say enough good things about Theresia- she was an angel to us. Legend Oaks also has delicious food- we chose the shrimp n' grits and the beef tenderloin with a garden salad, mashed potatoes, and seasonal veggies- EVERYTHING WAS SOOOO GOOD so no need to even consider bringing in another caterer. The bar tab very reasonable (I had done a LOT of research on bar tabs) and they were very flexible as we made last minute decisions on length of time to stay "open-bar"...they were so willing to accommodate whatever we wanted to do. The guys enjoyed Groomsman Golf the day before our wedding and loved the course. I highly recommend Legend Oaks if you're planning to have any sort of celebration in the Charleston, SC area!!

Theresa communicated with us frequently with e-mails and amazingly it all came together just right. I rented the Tudor Oaks Bed & Breakfast which was the only onsite place to lodge. That was a lifesaver putting all the girls in one place close by the day of the wedding. The decorations were put up just as we envisioned and all the staff treated us like we were VIP's. I got many compliments on the food. It was delicious. Theresa managed the ceremony down to the last dance seamlessly . I never had to worry about a thing. The guys played a round of golf that am and Theresa arranged it all to the wishes of the groom. It all went by too fast. We had a videographer and a photographer and the location with the beautiful trees and the golf course made beautiful pictures. As far as a destination wedding it was perfect for my daughter thanks to Theresa and her amazing staff . I would definitely recommend Legend Oaks to anyone who wants the beauty of the Charleston trees and Southern hospitality

In the hours leading up to the ceremony we were allowed to use two plush rooms on the second floor of the clubhouse to dress and prepare. Theresia was nearby and kept checking in on us to make sure everyone was relaxed and our preparation was on schedule. The ceremony setting under the Oak trees was visually stunning. Our guests were comfortable and wanted for nothing. The reception area set-up was beautiful. The food was delicious and well-presented. Legend Oaks staff who worked the wedding were smiling and cordial the entire time. The event, from beginning to end, was implemented professionally and ran flawlessly. I highly recommend Legend Oaks Golf Club as a wedding ceremony and reception venue with Theresia Ware in charge of the wedding planning. I couldn't be more happy for my daughter and son-in-law, or more satisfied with their choice to use Legend Oaks and Theresia Ware for their wedding.
