We had planned on having an outdoor ceremony but had to move it indoor due to weather and I'm so happy we did. We had the ceremony in the living room of the mansion and it ended up being SO BEAUTIFUL! I would highly recommend it, even if the weather is nice. Doreen (the coordinator) was also a pleasure to work with and was very accommodating to all of our unique/custom needs. The tent for the reception was great. It looked amazing (we chose to have the strings lights in the ceiling for our wedding which I recommend) and was not too hot for a wedding on 09/01 which I was a little worried about. And the photos we got in and around the mansion were amazing! I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding.

shy of moving a mountain to help make our day perfect. 2 months before our wedding, we decided to change venues. I called Eddie Bauer in a frenzy, asking for help, hoping he could somehow squeeze our wedding in. Sure enough, within hours I had a phone call from Mary calming me down, and making me believe this wedding was not only going to happen, but be better than I originally planned. For the first time in over a year, I felt like someone was on my side and wanted us to have the perfect day. Mary and Eddie made our wedding day a dream come true. My husband and I wanted to have an assortment of Greek and Italian desserts, so Eddie met with multiple bakers to sample their desserts until he found the perfect baker with the right price. Mary and I were in constant contact from the moment we booked until our big day, and even after. She really felt more like a wedding planner and friend than anything else. We were married on 4/28/18 and still get feedback from our guests that the staff, venue, and food were wonderful. Our drinks were never empty, nobody could tell there were any issues (myself included), the food portions were huge (and delicious!), and the staff was so sweet and helpful. At one point the staff even came out and joined us on the dance floor! Mary, Eddie, and the entire team at Lehmann Mansion felt more like family the day of, which only made it even more special. I feel so lucky to have found Lehmann Mansion and the Bauer Catering family/staff.

ng will probably cost more with all the upgrades than a 125+ guest wedding. Bauer's is phenomenal, but it seems like most of these policies are coming from the Village of Lake Villa & they are not very flexible with some of them.

The permanent white tent which is attached to the Mansion is also beautiful with a white fabric draped material on the ceiling and historical chandeliers which creates a romantic ambience! It's truly a hidden gem! Our cocktail hour with served hors d'oeuvres was on the entire first floor of the historical Mansion where our guests could roam from room to room and in the adjoining courtyard. Then our guests were escorted into the attached permanent tent for their sit down plated dinner and dancing! We had a wonderful experience from beginning to end! Doreen Johnson helped to make our experience memorable in every way! Doreen was wonderful to work with and attended to every detail! She was always available and made sure our event ran smoothly! Eddie Bauer was the Caterer who provided delicious hors d'oeuvres, entree's and late night snacks! The presentation was beautiful as well! Eddie was very nice and accommodating! He has a great selection to choose from. The entire Staff was wonderful! They are all very friendly, knowledgeable and professional! We couldn't have been more pleased with our daughter and son-in-law's wedding at Lehmann Mansion!

s it. Our on site coordinator Doreen was extremely helpful from day one with our large guest list, a 9 piece band, and all the little details in between. Our per plate cost covered the cocktail hour appetizers, open bar, salad, dinner, cake, linens, uplighting in the tent, and obviously the facility. We also had some optional add ons including a hotdog cart as a late night snack. The food was terrific and all the staff were so helpful and kind. We loved being the only wedding there. I wanted to be able to just show up for the reception with nothing to worry about and Doreen and her team made that possible. I would highly recommend the Lehmann Mansion!

e grounds are expertly maintained. The place is clean and bright!!!! They even waited out the weather to the very last minute. I got my outdoor wedding!!!!!! It was fabulous!

They were responsive and very helpful with questions. The house is really pretty and there are lots of opportunities for pictures. We just did the reception here but the grounds would be perfect for holding the ceremony too! The tent was a much nicer setting than Cuneo (which we also checked out). They also provide gluten-free and vegetarian meals which I appreciated as someone with Celiacs. The cake vendor also provided a delicious cake option too that was gluten-free!

arty dressing rooms on the top floor were both roomy and private. This place also has lots of places for guests to go and explore so this is anything but boring. This is TRULY a wonderful venue and I would recommend to anyone.
