Stay Away! Unfortunately, my husband and I had a terrible experience working with Danielle Leilani. Hiring her is one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made, and I urge any couple ...
reading this to reconsider. Pay attention to the other 1 star reviews! I wish I had.
Leading up to signing our full-service contract, Danielle Leilani was easy to get in touch with, friendly and communicative. After we paid, however, Danielle became increasingly more difficult to get a hold of. It was like night and day. She was slow to respond to emails, did not allow phone calls, and was completely unresponsive to many of our questions. She changed stipulations to our contract without notice. She rescheduled meetings at the last minute, cancelled or missed them altogether. She was not only non-communicative with us, but also with potential venues. In fact, her lack of communication with the venue we ended up choosing caused us to lose our preferred dates.
Overall, she misrepresented herself and her abilities, was unprofessional, didn't follow through on tasks, and didn't listen to or acknowledge our requests and questions. My husband and I began to feel as though she never intended to give us the attention of a full service wedding planner. After months of this, we realized we couldn’t waste any more time and had to make the decision to terminate her services, which is something no couple wants to do. It was devastating and caused major emotional and financial distress during what should be a joyous time.
We initially held off on writing this review to give her the benefit of the doubt, but seeing some of the other 1 star reviews, we realized that we should do our part to warn other couples so they don’t have to go through what we went through — and what we are still dealing with.
My fiancé and I filed and won a lawsuit against Danielle Leilani (Danielle L. Evans) / Leilani Weddings in Los Angeles county. We know that she also lost a previous lawsuit filed in Fresno, CA. In addition to being sued, Danielle Leilani was fired in 2022 by another bride who shared her experience on TikTok. These instances, along with some of the other negative reviews outlining similar experiences to ours, lead my husband and I to feel that Danielle will continue to swindle and dupe people as long as people continue to give her money.
There are plenty of great, genuine and trustworthy planners out there, including the team we hired after Danielle. It’s your wedding (or event) and you deserve to have a positive, honest and loving experience! I hope that this review will help to prevent someone from going through what my husband and I have had to endure as a result of Danielle Leilani.
scammer, cancels last minute and tries to keep your money…. Cannot explain the nightmare this person put us through…
BEWARE OF DANIELLE LEILANI and LEILANI SOCIAL: SCAM ARTIST
I am writing this to warn anyone considering Danielle Leilani and her company, Leilani Social, for their wedding plannin...
g needs. Our experience with her was nothing short of a nightmare, and I urge you to avoid her services at all costs.
From the start, Danielle made us feel completely unsupported and added immense stress to our wedding planning process. She essentially makes you do all the work by having you fill out a spreadsheet yourself, and she is utterly inaccessible when you need help. She instructs all vendors to refer to this spreadsheet and doesn’t communicate with them directly, leaving you to manage everything on your own.
Danielle claimed that her work would begin at the 6-week mark, yet she only started 4 weeks before our wedding, leaving us in a lurch. To make matters worse, she contractually promised four coordinators at our event but informed us at the last minute that we would have one less, and didn't take any accountability.
Her unprofessional conduct, poor communication, and unreliable service were appalling.
She CANCELLED our contract just TWO WEEKS before our wedding date without providing any valid reason and blocked all our attempts to contact her via email. Despite canceling on us, she refused to refund almost 3,000 dollar payment+ deposit, effectively pocketing our money without delivering any of the promised services.
Danielle Leilani is unreliable, untrustworthy, and more interested in taking your money than providing any real service. Her actions caused us undue stress and financial loss, which no couple should have to endure during their wedding planning.
In summary ,DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID! Avoid Danielle Leilani and Leilani Social at all costs.
Save yourself the heartache and find a wedding planner who is professional, reliable, and genuinely cares about their clients.
We had a vision for our wedding, and wanted something we felt would be meaningful and represent us and our lives, but also were on a very tight budget. With our venues in mind (our...
local public park for the ceremony, a patio at our HOA’s community center for the reception, and an after party at our home) and only 6 months until our selected wedding date, we went to Leilani Social to ask if they could help us make it happen.
Kim was assigned as our coordinator, and took the challenge in stride. Another team member worked with us and Kim as a designer, and soon they helped us develop a cohesive vision and start thinking about the logistics, securing vendors, and making the many dozens of small but critical decisions to make our wedding day feel like us.
Kim met with us many times leading up to the wedding date, coordinated all of the vendor communications by email, and always made time to address our questions and concerns--no detail was too small. She helped coach us through selecting rentals and the minute-by-minute plan for the day, and when we needed to pivot last minute to doing DIY flowers to save money, she supported us through that, too! This review would end up the length of a novel if I tried to cover everything, but just to give a couple examples: Kim helped us design custom drink menus for our reception, found alternatives for glassware and decor when we found out we couldn’t have glass or open flame at our venue, and made sure we got a refund from our rental company for the few small items that were missing (which we of course, never even knew about because the Leilani Squad just handled it!). The day before the wedding, Kim met with us and our bridal party to run an efficient and helpful rehearsal, exuding competence and kindness while making sure everyone was ready for the next day.
On the wedding day, four amazing Leilani Social team members were present to make it all happen. My day as bride started with a sound bath hosted by one of Leilani’s wellness vendors (the wonderful Stephanie with Soul Sounds Alchemy) for myself and my bridesmaids. To be completely honest, I was a bit skeptical at first (especially since it meant we’d have to start our day earlier) but it ended up being so lovely and grounding (thank you, Danielle and Stephanie!). My “lady-in-waiting,” Lulu, was amazing, and she spent the whole morning with us, keeping us on track time-wise and helping with all of the little things that came up, like steaming the skirt of my dress.
Kim worked tirelessly to transform our blank canvas venues into the magical settings we had envisioned together for ceremony and reception. Arriving at the spaces and seeing our vision realized was an amazing experience. But as bride and groom, our hope was to truly be in the moment and enjoy the day, and Kim, Danielle, and the rest of the Leilani Squad made that possible. They took care of everything, arranging our many DIY elements, receiving each of our many vendors, making sure our guests got from one place to another, and responding to the inevitable hiccups so that the two of us could just enjoy each other, our guests, and our beautiful celebration. As a note, Kim was the last to leave the reception site hours after we did, making sure everything was in top shape and transporting extra drinks and supplies to our nearby home for the after party. She was a champion, and went above and beyond for us.
It was truly the best day of our lives, and truly wouldn’t have been possible without Kim and the Leilani Squad. We can’t thank you or recommend you highly enough!
We recently used Danielle and her team for our wedding on 12/8 in Playa Del Carmen. We met with her in April to discuss logistics, and from that moment, we knew we were in great ha...
nds. She walked us through how everything would work with her and her team and what to expect and then gave us all the information we needed to fill out when we met again, six weeks out from the wedding.
Her timeline was PERFECT. Everything was mapped out to the minute, and it was incredibly comforting to know that this was the timeline that Leilani and all the vendors would follow. She is very experienced, so we completely trusted her and did not regret it. We couldn’t see the venue, vendor items, food, etc, in person before our wedding, but Leilani ensured it would go seamlessly regardless. She was available through text, email, phone, Zoom, etc, whenever we had any questions.
She came to Mexico (for 24 hours!) to support us on our big day and efficiently handled each vendor. We never felt stressed or rushed because we knew Danielle had everything in order. She kept everyone aware of what was going on and what was happening next. It would’ve been a different and stressful day without her presence.
All of this is to say if you’re considering working with Leilani, DO IT. She will guide you through your wedding every step of the way with ease, professionalism, directness, kindness, and joy. We are so thankful we worked with her.
The worst, most unprofessional wedding coordinators. Do NOT use Danielle Leilani if you want your wedding day to run smoothly. We hired them for our wedding last month and our wedd...
ing was a logistical nightmare. 6 days before the event, we were told there was a schedule change and the coordinator we had been working with for months would no longer be at our wedding. Instead, Danielle Leilani would be taking over (without any prior knowledge of our plans for the day). The minute Danielle got involved, chaos ensued.
First she tried going behind our backs to change contracts with our vendors. She screamed at multiple vendors, demanding things that were outside of their scope. We were horrified to hear this, especially since we had such good relationships with each of the vendors we had selected for our big day.
Danielle and her team also managed to mess up even the simplest tasks like placing the table numbers on the correct tables that were all listed on a diagram. None of the table numbers lined up with the name cards at the seats, and my husband and I had to walk around and redirect all 90 of our guests to where they should be sitting.
During the reception, my husband and I got pulled off the dance floor by vendors on FOUR different occasions for guidance on things like where to set up and what needs to be done. The job of the day of coordinator is to quite literally coordinate these things on the wedding day so the bride and groom can enjoy their day and not worry about logistics, but this was not the case because Danielle was no where to be found. When our cinnamon roll tower “cake” was put out for dessert, her one job was to put out the plates and utensils for serving. That didn’t happen, so our guests were eating dessert with their hands and walking around with sticky fingers. Again, horrifying.
As one last final slap in the face, Danielle and her team disregarded our entire post-wedding cleanup plan and left everything sitting outside overnight, with my wedding bouquet squished into the bottom of a cardboard box.
Please do yourself a favor and book any other wedding coordinator/planner to avoid a disaster like this one.
I wasn’t sure if I needed an organizer to help with throwing my 50th birthday party, but I’m so glad I took advantage of Leilani’s services. From the first meeting, my planner, Ale...
xis, took so many burdens off my hands. Her organizational skills let me focus on the parts of the celebration that interested me and outsource the parts that didn’t. Alexis created a look book for the event, sourced vendors who were a good match for what I wanted, and handled all scheduling. I especially loved that she took on the duty of letting people know if they didn’t get the job, saving me that awkward phone call. In the end, my party was far more elegant than I could have imagined on my own, and I was free to simply enjoy the day and be present. I highly recommend Leilani!
It's hard to overstate how awful this service was - here's a quick summary - we had a rehearsal on the Friday and the wedding on the Saturday.
- 4 days before the wedding they text...
ed at night to say they weren't turning up and we needed to figure out an alternative
- the next morning they deleted their text and said they were figuring something out
- later that day they said they had it sorted, not to worry
- the Friday of the wedding weekend *without asking* they cancelled the rehearsal, moved it to Saturday, and moved all our vendors to fit this in - we found out because some of our vendors called us to ask what was going on
- we called them and told them to undo their changes, they told us they moved it as they could not be there on Friday, only on the day of
- the day of - 2 random people showed up (instead of 3) and we'd met none of them prior
- they completely randomized the per-table seating we'd worked hard on and made a lot of people awkward since they were seated with people they didn't know or with ex-s
- they did not hang our seating chart, they just put them on the ground for others to try to look at (see photo, it's the best photographic example of all of this)
After following up I confirmed they *never* had planned to be there on the Friday before as planned, it was the first time they worked with the coordinators and they had only hired them for the day of. We should have known this was going to be the case as they had previously done the same thing on the day of the tour - they said they would be there and then, day of the walkthrough, they cancelled.
I'm so disappointed and outraged how someone can be so blatantly dishonest, they knew we had planned this for months and spent a lot of money on the event. In the end our wonderful photographer and friends helped fill a bunch of gaps but I will never forget the negative impact these people had and how incompetence isn't enough to explain their behavior.
We loved our planner, Crysta, she was thoughtful, thorough, and focused on our vision. The wedding day is filled with challenges and our planner that day, Danielle, made sure thing...
s went as planned as possible while also making us feel calm and excited. We loved working with Leilani Weddings and we highly recommend their services! I wish I would have used more of their services, they have so many!
Last year I was in between jobs and was looking to stay involved in the event industry. I was so lucky and grateful to find Leilani Weddings’ Internship program and intern for them...
from December 2021 – February of 2022. The entire application process was smooth and straightforward which was much appreciated. Danielle and Sara were very organized and fair in dividing up work among all the interns. They provided guidance and help when needed and it was great being a part of a collaborative team. I assisted in social media campaigns and contributed to their blog as well. There was also room to grow and take on other tasks toward the end of the program. Unfortunately, I did have to leave the internship early due to a new job, but I wish I could have stayed through the duration of the program. Working with Danielle, Sara, and the rest of the Leilani team was an enjoyable experience, and I would recommend an internship with Leilani Weddings to anyone looking to get into event/wedding planning.
We chose Leilani Weddings to be our designer and help setup our venue before the wedding day began. Alex honored all our wishes and went above and beyond them. She arrived super ea...
rly the morning of to organize everything. I never worried about a thing because I knew Alex would make it beautiful. Very positive and reliable experience! Highly recommend!
We booked Leilani Weddings almost a year in advance for our wedding on Sept 2 2022. Danielle worked with us in the beginning to find a planning/coordination package that worked for...
our budget. We had access to their portal which had a bunch of great tips/resources, and my husband got a discount on his suit through their partnership with FriarTux! We filled out a very detailed and extensive Google sheet which was a bit time consuming but it's how they have all the information we need them to have so I'm glad we did a three month package so I could work on it over time. Although Danielle herself wasn't there on wedding day, she was on all of our calls and their head of operations, Crystal checked in with us weekly in the month leading up to the big day. Our day-of coordinators kept us on track with timeline and did so much set up for us. The day went smoothly and I wish I could live that day over and over! Very glad we had their team of capable ladies helping us out.
I cannot say enough good things about Danielle, the team, and Leilani weddings in general. My wife and I just got married this past weekend. We worked very hard to plan every detai...
l ourselves, but several of our friends insisted on getting a month of planner, especially since our wedding was a destination wedding. My wife found Leilani Weddings via instagram, and from the first consultation we knew Danielle was running a top tier operation. She has tools, spreadsheets, and information for everything you can think of, and things you had no clue to even consider. As soon as she stepped in 1 month out, everything was basically taken out of our hands, and ran like a well oiled machine. It ran so well, we actually got concerned at the lack of issues! On the big day, I can not express enough how well Danielle and the army of people did to keep everyone organized and on time. They were running the show and 2 steps ahead of everything, all while being incognito to the point where most of the wedding only knew the planning team was there because they met Danielle at rehearsal. The entire day went better than we could ever imagine, and no doubt it’s because of the Leilani weddings team. Out of all the vendors we chose for our wedding, by far choosing Leilani Weddings was our best choice of this entire process!

he has such a talent taking people and modeling them as well as put them in positions where they fit. The weddings I have worked so far have been a lot of fun but also rewarding seeing the success of beautiful celebration to go on as a hit and seeing the couples and guest so happy! Not only are the weddings beautiful but the other events Leilani Weddings put on and are apart of are unique and one of a kind, and that's what I love about Leilani Weddings!! LW Team are amazing bunch of ladies, I highly recommend hiring our wonderful team. If you're looking for a unique and up with the trends this wedding company is for you!!

once the internship has come to an end. Our tasks ranged from sending emails to vendors for
our brides as well as curating playlists for every bride's special day. Danielle gave us tasks that
require huge responsibility that must be handled diligently. Once we fulfilled our tasks I recall
feeling very accomplished because I knew the work we put in was well worth the results. Each
intern is delegated specific roles that play into the bigger picture of the Leilani Weddings brand;
from running social media accounts, finding vendors,to working with magazines to be published
in articles. It truly was a dream to see the work that we all put in, ultimately pay off to ensure the
most quality wedding planning. Danielle is a team player and is amazing at cultivating an
awesome workplace for everyone who joins the Leilani Weddings Team. I am very thankful for
my experience.

ork and everything she does is evident from the moment you meet her. She is the definition of HUSTLE and passionate. She plans everything down to a tee and she always plans for details and logistics that no one else thinks of. She never stops but it is because of her devotion and love for what she does. She was the absolute best person to learn from and my constant inspiration to follow my dreams. I only wish I had known Danielle 5 years ago so that she could have planned my wedding. I am constantly amazed by the systems and organization she has in place to ensure all of her events go off without a hitch. Danielle is the perfect balance of professional and fun! She gets the job done and goes above and beyond while also being a joy and positive light to be around!
It’s been very hard to consolidate all the great things I want to say into this post but I’ll try. We hired Leilani weddings because of all of the great reviews AND because we were...
trying to hire all black vendors for our wedding. We are so happy we went with Leilani and her team. To our little surprise, we actually ended pairing with Taylor as our lead planner. Taylor was and is absolutely amazing. I warned her from the beginning that I can have a bit of Type A personality tendencies to say the least. To add fuel to the fire, my husband and I are POLAR opposites and have very different tastes lol. So, it didn’t make things much easier when he wanted to be just as involved with all the wedding planning and design. She didn’t bat an eye, never made us feel like we were doing too much, and just always made sure we were happy with our choices. She has such great taste and even understood whatever crazy concept my husband was trying to put together for our wedding at any given moment lol. She somehow made both of our visions come together and look amazing.
As usual, our wedding planning did not come without hiccups. Unfortunately, about 4 months before our wedding, we had to abruptly switch venues due to negligence from the venue owner. We had already sent out save the dates, hotel & accommodation info, and secured all the vendors. It could have easily been a nightmare but Taylor went straight to work and found us an even better venue that accommodated our guest count, all of our vendors, and the aesthetic we were hoping to keep. This was all done within about a WEEK of finding out we had to change venues. So again, I cannot rave enough about her.
The day of our wedding really seemed easy. If there were any real issues, I had no idea. Even when I almost had a mini freak out regarding catering taking forever to feed the guest (I think I got hangry lol), she kept it calm and cool and assured me we had nothing to worry about. Seriously, Taylor is the absolute best. I cannot imagine our wedding and planning would have went as smooth as it did without her. I am secretly considering putting together another event, that I don’t need, just so we can keep in touch lol.
I had 80 people at the W loft in BK. Don’t hesitate and please book Pamela in NYC. She truly goes ABOVE and BEYOND. Every other event planning vendor I reached out to had terrible ...
communication and took so long to respond to my inquiries. Pamela reached out to me and made me feel so comfortable and well taken care of since day one. My wedding shower was amazing and Pamela made sure my vision came to life. Unfortunately, it rained so bad that day but she did what she had to do and I am so thankful for her. Pamela allowed me to be stress free on such a special day. Danielle was also amazing and you can tell she really cares about who her team works with. Thank you ladies!
Danielle reached out to me the night before my wedding. I planned absolutely everything myself and really didn't think I needed a planner for the day of the wedding. That night we ...
were able to plan every minute of my wedding day. What a relief! I was oblivious of how hectic it would be if I didn't have Leilani Wedding's extraordinary team. Danielle connected me to Pamela, who was a God send. Pamela was one step ahead of everything that needed to be done, from getting people seated to even the officiant paperwork. Having her present took a load off of my back and my day was stress free in regards to the flow of the wedding. I'm so very grateful and I highly recommend Leilani Weddings and her team for any event you may have.
We booked Leilani Weddings for day- of coordination and event styling and we were blown away by Charlotte’s professionalism and organization! She was beyond prepared for our big da...
y, reached out to all vendors, and worked side by side with our venue coordinator to make sure every detail was to our liking. Charlotte reached out throughout our planning process to discuss styling/ decor budget, and sticking to our budget as well. She ensured our timeline was maintained throughout the day, pulled our florals from the ceremony for repurposing during the reception, and made sure each detail was on display throughout the day. At the end of the night, she was even more kind to usher everyone out and line up for the grand exit while we shared a very special private last dance. Once we left the venue, Charlotte packed our car with all of our bought decor and made sure our rental items were returned the next day. We could not have been happier with her help and are so grateful for making sure we had the best day of our lives!!
I booked Leilani weddings for my wedding in October and they were amazing. We had to postpone our wedding twice. Once because my dad got sick and the second time because of the pan...
demic and they were SO understanding both times. It truly meant so much to me when my dad was sick back in 2019 to postpone so he could be there and they didn't charge us anything and let us move our deposit to the following year. Danielle ended up being my coordinator and she honestly took care of everything. We didn't have to lift a finger all day which was great because my husband and I really just got to enjoy the day. My lady in waiting was very attentive and made sure I had everything I needed. They packed up my car with all of our decorations, disposable cameras, etc at the end of the night and we're so nice to our guests. We even had a little wardrobe malfunction with my mother in-law mid reception (haha bound to be something during a wedding right!) and she stepped in and was in the bathroom with her helping! I didn't even know until the next day! Seriously they go above and beyond and helped set up everything for my reception. It all looked stunning. I don't know what I would have done without her!! Danielle even ended up snapping some photos throughout the day and she sent me a shared album which was so nice to have some pics to look through right away. She even created a fun little video for us as well of some moments she captured throughout the day. I love supporting women run and owned business and Danielle is so hardworking. You can just tell she knows what she's doing and she was everything we were looking for in a wedding coordinator!
Our experience with Taylor O was incredible! We hired LW prior to the pandemic and then everything changed. The pandemic took a lot away but it was the most fortunate coincidence ...
for Taylor to be our wedding planner, there was a change due to the pandemic in our original planner to Taylor. This was the best thing that has ever happened to us!! She is quick to respond, punctual, and willing to go above and beyond to make whatever needs to happen become a reality!
We went from a 400 person Indian wedding to a 12 person backyard to wedding and no one would know all the behind-the-scenes work it took to do that. Not to mention, we essentially only had about 2.5 months to go from the original plan to the new plan. LW's Taylor O made a whole inspiration board for our "new" venue, guest count and executed beautifully. All I had to focus on was being the bride!!
I still get compliments to this day on our wedding and most of it was not even seen in person! My parent's quaint backyard was transformed into my actual wedding venue and we couldn't be more grateful!
We're so looking forward to part 2 in 2022 and happy to be working with Taylor!
Let’s face it, Covid wedding planning wasn’t very fun. There was a lot of uncertainty and postponing. However, every time I talked to Taylor O, my planner at Leilani Weddings, I fe...
lt excited again. She was the perfect fit for me and made me feel productive and kept me on track! I knew from the moment I met Danielle, the owner of Leilani Weddings, that I would be in good hands. She is such a warm, bright soul who nailed our style in our lookbook. Then Taylor became my lead planner and my saving grace. I am the most indecisive, not very design oriented engineer but with a strong opinion and she navigated it so well and never made me feel bad about it! I bought A LOT of decor for my wedding at Temecula Creek Inn and while I knew where I wanted some of it placed I put full trust in Taylor for the design and decor and she killed it. I don’t know what kind of magic her and Danielle and their assistants have but everything was stunning and the best part was my family and I got to enjoy the morning and not have to worry about doing any decorating. It was a huge weight off my shoulders and my loved ones! She even helps box everything up at the end of the night to make cleanup go way faster so we could continue the party. Honestly Taylor was my wedding fairy godmother and I wouldn’t have had the most perfect, beautiful day without her.
We had the pleasure of working with Sara and the Leilani Weddings team for our wedding day. Sara helped us take care of all the last minute details leading up in the final days bef...
ore our wedding, and even helped me think of things I hadn't thought of to include. Day-of, Sara was there every step of the way ensuring that everything ran smoothly, that all our vendors were on the same page, and most importantly, making sure our big day was exactly how we envisioned it. Sara was professional and had such an amazing, can-do attitude - we knew we could count on her for anything. I'm sure there were a few things that didn't go as planned on the big day, but we didn't even know it because Sara handled everything so well. Would absolutely recommend working with this team!

rnship if you are interested in the wedding planning world! Through my 3 months I learned so much about this industry by working at a few events, having weekly meetings to stay in tuned with what was going on with the company, and learning so much about social media and the concepts behind it. I worked closely with Danielle and Alaina who went above and beyond on involving us in learning the behind the scenes of this exciting industry and what takes place to really make people’s dreams come true and all the hard work that comes with it. I recommended Leilani Weddings to anyone who is looking for a planner to assist all of your needs and come up with some of the most amazing ideas to add on the final touches to your perfect day!
I previously completed a 3 month internship at Leilani Weddings. Working with Danielle was thrilling, fast paced and fun! I learned a lot on how to conduct vendor research, profess...
ionally communicate with potential vendors and all about the work that goes into styled shoots, weddings and baby showers. She was always available to answer any questions and help with whatever I needed done. Her assistant, Alaina, is also pretty amazing! If you decide to book an event with Leilani Weddings, even if you do not get Danielle as your coordinator, her team is hard working and dedicated to make your dream event come to life. I got the chance to work with Taylor O. and Charlotte. They are extremely professional and pay attention to all of the fine details in making an event perfect for their client. Highly recommend booking your next event with Leilani Weddings!

I wouldn't change a thing, and when I look back at pictures, I still can't believe that was OUR wedding. Thank you, Danielle, for designing and executing a wedding beyond our wildest dreams. It is still the highlight of our lives so far and you helped make that happen. Couldn't recommend the Leilani crew enough!

BEST TEAM FOR THE BEST DAY EVER!
I hired Leilani Weddings for my month of coordination. From the first phone call with Danielle, I knew right off the bat that Danielle knows her ...
stuff and that I needed her on my team. I was a little nervous about my budget, since I didn’t want to actually hire a wedding planner for the month of/day of. Especially, if I was already going to be planning most of the décor myself. My now husband ;) listened in on my first call with Danielle and was just as impressed as I was. He convinced me that it would be worth it to spend a little extra on our wedding planner to ensure we don’t experience any stress on our big day and so that things could run as seamless as possible. BOY WAS HE RIGHT!
After my initial call, I didn’t hear from Danielle or her team until the month of the wedding. Which was expected. (I did reach out once or twice prior with questions and did receive a prompt responses.) We had a conference call the first day of my month of planning, they provide an excel google doc that is very detailed and includes information such as, vendors, bridal party, family, most importantly the day-of-timeline. I made an error when filling out the google doc and saved it to my desktop rather than saving on the google doc. Danielle and her team took care of correcting my mistake and re-entered all of the information for me, they ensured the google doc was up to date at all times, and they updated the day of timeline as necessary. After this call, I already knew I made the right choice. There was a change, in my leading wedding coordinator, and I was a little worried at first. However, it ended up being a BIG blessing. Taylor Oyebadejo was assigned to be my leading coordinator, and she was so professional, very SWEET, easy to work with, and would recommend her to EVERY couple!
Leading up to the big day, Taylor & her team did help with making suggestions on additional décor items and helped with the purchase/rental of items that were still needed. She constantly checked in on me during the month of my wedding, she made sure I wasn’t worried about anything. On the big day, Taylor & her team were there on time, they set up ALL of my personal décor items, (which included hanging up a neon sign, putting together the party favors, and much more) organized the wedding party, and worked effectively with all of the vendors. They too had nothing but good things to say about Taylor & her team.
There were also little things that Taylor & her team did throughout the day that meant so much to us, like: 1. Making sure I had a drink & appetizer right after we said I do! (Very Important LOL) 2. Grabbing our coats when we were cold. 3. Holding my lipgloss & purse, also helping me touch up during pictures 4. Checking in on us to ensure we were ok! 5. Bustling my dress.
They made me feel so reassured and confident that they would take care of everything. I literally handed everything over to them after our first month of call and trusted that they would take care of everything. And they DID, seamlessly and exceeding all expectations. I cannot thank them enough for being there on my big day. I was actually emotional the days following my wedding, I felt like Taylor and her Team were my very SUPPORTIVE friends LOL.
In summary of my long but very much deserved review, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. It was an amazing experience and I was SO blessed to have Taylor, Danielle & the Leilani Team on my side.
If you're second guessing getting a wedding planner - STOP. And hire Leilani Weddings' expert team! I started working with Annie in January 2019 and got married in August 2019. BES...
T DECISION EVER. The entire planning process went smoothly. I could always count on Annie to be there for me when I wanted to obsess (yay) or talk me off a ledge when I was stressed. She introduced me to vendors I never would have come across or considered on my own - and I had an AMAZING group of vendors (A++). When my wedding finally rolled around, I was able to surrender and relax (as much as any bride can relax) because she, Danielle and their team handled everything. They're chill, trustworthy, fun and creative geniuses. NEVER could have done it on my own. I wish I would have hired LW to plan every other event in my wedding weekend too - hindsight is 20/20! WORTH IT.
We started working with Danielle in 2017, planning for a 2019 wedding. Through the wedding planning journey, our venue changed three times due to unforeseen circumstances; construc...
tion and wild fires. I'd also like to add that when we booked her our wedding was set at an all-inclusive venue and we ended up at a venue where we literally needed a vendor for EVERYTHING!
Danielle handled each transition with so much poise and confidence. She was very resourceful and accommodating. Towards the end of the wedding journey I must admit I got really stressed out with the last minute details but she assured me everything would be ok.
The big day finally arrived and our day was everything and more!!!! The vendors that Danielle had lined up for us were all amazing, professional and just a dream to work with. The "Man in Waiting" that was assigned to me as the bride, Charlie, went above and beyond to ensure I felt like a queen! (Def ask for him, he will make your day 1000x better). Our guests were really impressed at how smoothly everything went considering our church ceremony was in Burbank and the reception was in Malibu.
Thank you Danielle, Charlie, and the entire Leilani squad for your time and dedication. Thank you for executing the wedding of our dreams!!!

d, sweet, fun and got stuff done!! She went above and beyond what I had asked. She executed everything perfectly on my wedding day. I have total confidence in her and would 100% recommend her!!
We were fortunate to have had awesome vendors on our wedding day. Unfortunately, Leilani Weddings was not one of them. Throughout the entire process, my wife and I found them unpro...
fessional and unorganized.
Leilani was part of a package deal with our venue: coordination services were scheduled for the month before our wedding. Imagine our surprise when one month before our wedding, we were assigned a new coordinator, Nikki. Via our contract, we were to get a month of coordination, but in the e-mail alerting us of our new coordinator, we instead saw that we would hear from Nikki in the "next couple of weeks." It took initiative from my wife to explain that our wedding was "in the next couple of weeks," and that we should speak with Nikki in the next couple of days. She set up an initial call with Nikki, but Nikki failed to call, and blamed it on her own phone, but also on my wife's voicemail not working. We found that strange, because we waited by my wife's cellphone for 30 minutes on the day of the scheduled call, and even sent out a follow-up email and text during that time.
Leilani Weddings requires you to fill out a Google document to track vendors and other wedding information. It took my wife 3+ hours to fill it out. The Google document disappeared when my wife tried to access it at a later date. My wife tried to help troubleshoot by explaining that it could be in the trash, but they insisted it was completely lost and blamed it on a server issue on their end. My wife once again spent 3+ hours filling out a new document. Later in the process, my wife noticed important information about our vendor count was changed. She contacted Nikki, who was noted as the last editor, and asked why things were changed; Nikki was evasive and unapologetic and offered no reasoning for this.
During our final meeting with the venue and Nikki, we needed to make a few changes to the timeline. As we voiced our changes, Nikki openly disagreed with our changes and we felt her attitude turned hostile. This was our wedding, and I feel that Nikki should be listening and working with us, instead of undermining us. We tried to explain why we opted to change the timeline, but she seemed to not be listening.
During the meeting, Nikki said that she would be reaching out to all of our vendors to confirm their services and let us know when they confirmed. After a week and a half of getting no confirmations from Nikki, I reached out to all of our vendors and half of them said they hadn’t heard from her.
The morning of the wedding, breakfast was to be picked up by Nikki and delivered to the Bridal suite at 10:00 AM. We specifically chose a breakfast place across the street from the venue that opened up at 9:00 AM. My wife received a text message from Nikki at 9:30 AM saying that she would be arriving at the Bridal room at 11:00 AM instead, due to the place not opening up until 10:00 AM. I would have hoped that she did her research to see that the location closest to the venue actually opened up at 9:00 AM. This unnecessarily stressed out my wife as she had to contend with texting Nikki about breakfast being late instead of enjoying her morning.
On a positive note, one of the assistants, Alaina, made sure that my wife’s dress looked perfect in all of our pictures. I felt that she went above and beyond.
If the one month of coordination it didn't come with our package, I would have fired Leilani Weddings and looked for another wedding coordinating company.
I have nothing but amazing things to say about Nikki and her team with Leilani Weddings. If you’re on the fence… let me be the one to say BOOK THEM! It was the absolute best decisi...
on I made for my wedding without a doubt. From the minute I booked with Nikki up until the very end of my wedding she was there to answer any questions and I had and give advice when needed. She was the BIGGEST help day of. She took care of things without hesitation, she helped us where needed, it was more than I could have asked for.
I know she does and has done the big, beautiful, elaborate weddings and because of this I was unsure how my wedding was going to compare for her. I didn’t have the biggest budget but I put as much heart as I could into making the details as beautiful as I could.
Come wedding day when Nikki did a grand reveal of our reception space I could not believe it. Even writing this I am getting emotional. She took what I gave her and turned our space into a complete dream. I can’t tell you enough, her eye for design and style is what makes this girl so special. I would over and over again hire her for any wedding or special event. Nikki is sweet, so kind and truly treats your day as it is the best day ever… she is the absolute best and we can’t thank her and the team enough for all they did for us! The hard work did not go unnoticed!
Nikki, Taylor and everyone who was apart of our big day from Leilani weddings… thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my day truly the best day ever!

duals were because our wedding went seamless. Annie is someone who takes a vested interest in her clients and im so thankful for that. For anyone who has planned and wedding or is planning one, knows the mountain of stress that piles on, Annie gave us reassurance and confidence that things would go smoothly, and it did! Thank you for everything Annie and Leilanni weddings! Highly recommend!

ding by ourselves. We used a handful of her vendor recommendations who were absolute rockstars. She was very helpful before the wedding with our our day-of timeline and advising on the flow of events since we removed a bunch of traditional things. It was such a huge relief to hand off all the vendor communication to her. Now for the day of, Danielle and her team literally went above and beyond for us and we can not thank them enough. We had a rainy, windy and cold day at an outside venue which we didn't exactly plan for but the wedding was as perfect as it could be because of Danielle and her team. We had to shuffle events around, change the layout due to the weather but none of our guests could even tell. Her team offered to pick up our florals and she perfectly executed all my decor. It was so gorgeous and exceeded my expectations. I remember the wind knocking down all the decor and her team constantly putting things back up throughout the day. I know there were many other challenges that day we probably didn't even know about because she handled them for us. She kept her cool and executed with so much grace that only a pro would have been able to do. One of my vendors texted me to tell me how impressed he was with Danielle and her team and that it inspired him to jump in and do everything he could to make our day so special. We received so many compliments from our guests on our day despite the weather and it really couldn't have happen without Danielle and her amazing team. She went above and beyond with her services for us. THANK YOU, Danielle!

We chose the two-week coordination package, and worked with Danielle. She has a lot of energy and really seems to enjoy her job. She built us a day-of timeline from setup to tear ...
down including tips and advice such as a suggested photo list. It was nice to have a coordinator to take care of last minute details and day-of orchestration. Danielle is really passionate about design, so she offered to put together a few finishing touches if there was room left in the budget. Two weeks out from the wedding it was a huge relief to pass this over to her! She proposed custom signage, extra florals, upgraded linens, and pretty little rentals for our sweetheart table for $500-750. Three days before the wedding she sent me quotes that added up to over $1500. It was all gorgeous, but I wish she had listened more to my needs.

m. Nikki was our wedding coordinator and was so professional, easy to work with, and exceceeded all expectations from organising the wedding party, to the decorations, to the end of the night surprise in our room. We can not thank them enough for everything that they did! I would 100% encourage any bride to get a wedding planner and make sure it is the Leilani team!!
If you guys are looking for a wedding planner, look no further !!

ddings to help us with our big day. We initially were just looking for a day of coordinator to help with the stress of the actual wedding day, but Danielle and Nikki went above and beyond to help us with EVERYTHING. I mean everything, every single detail you can think of they were on top of it. Even details you didn't even think of; they are there to help. I seriously do not know what i would have done without them.
They helped prep so much prior to the wedding, with phone calls, emails, and everything else. My actual wedding coordinator was named Nikki and she is seriously the sweetest!
She made sure everything was perfect and that I didn't stress one bit. Anything that was even the slightest of issues she had it under control. She helped me when I was stressing over one of my bridesmaids leaving the ceremony early, and was seriously such a genuine beautiful soul. I am forever grateful for you guys making my wedding day perfect!

Leilani Weddings. From the first call with Danielle I instantly felt like my wedding day would be taken care of. I ended up booking the 2 week coordination plan as I had already done much of the legwork myself. My coordinator was Taylor Decker. She did an amazing job throughout the entire process. Although the time we spent together wasn't very long, I felt like she really made an effort to get to know me and I really enjoyed the few calls we had together. The parts I was most nervous about for my wedding was the timeline and small details so having her to talk me through any questions or ideas was such a blessing! She handled everything for me in the last stretch (coordinating with ALL my vendors) which brought me so much peace in the days leading up to the wedding! If the timeline was adjusted throughout the night, I had no idea due to the flawlessness in execution! Thank you for making my wedding day so amazing. Would definitely recommend. I didn't spend much time with the assistants but I would also like to give a shout out to them as well! These gals also played a huge role - setting things up and even small things like holding the train on my dress or seeing if I needed water, calming me down before walking down the aisle, to name a few... thanks to all on the team for the role you played on our big day! Michael and I appreciate all your hard work.

e and we decided since I had all my vendors booked and the design aspect done already, I only needed the month of coordination. My coordinator was Annie and she is so professional, so nice and on top of it!! She is the ultimate type A as well as being a friend throughout the whole process. I met her in person to go over the details of the wedding, she also emailed me and texted me to remind to do certain things as the wedding approached. She also asked me small detailed questions that I wouldn't have thought to address myself and she calmed me down a lot (that in itself, was worth it!) My family all commended her on her ability to run the wedding seamlessly and I couldn't agree more. She truly wants your day to be perfect and she coordinates her team efficiently and professionally. I would recommend Annie to anyone!!! She's a rockstar <3 <3

ent on our wedding. From the first time we talked to her we knew that she was going to be able to handle anything that came her way, and she went above and beyond what we expected out of a month-of coordinator. She and her team took care of us so well, and when something went wrong with one of our vendors at the wedding she fixed it immediately. I highly recommend Danielle, she's amazing!!!

ddings was offered as one of three options. In hindsight, I’m surprised such a premium vendor was included in the wedding package. Overall, Leilani Weddings handled our big day with great attention to detail, guided us with the flexibility of making the wedding whatever we wanted it to be, but they also gave great advice on what is typically expected/what extras we could consider. I’m somebody who has a hard time letting go of control, but the high standard at which Leilani Weddings operated made me confident that they were going to stay on top of everything. I was able to let go and hand things over much more easily that I expected.
We were on a very short time frame, trying to plan our wedding in just a few months. We contacted their website and were thankful to see an email response from Danielle within a few hours. She was warm, very clear and thorough, and made us excited to start planning. Danielle then sent over another email with several attachments with great level of detail about the planning process. I was excited to read through everything so I could finally feel like I knew what I was supposed to be doing to put this wedding together. Danielle arranged for our first phone call and sends out calendar invitations for every phone call we schedule. Although she had to postpone our phone call by about a half-hour, she made sure to give us a heads up. During our first phone call, we talked through all the details of the email attachments and what we could expect from her moving forward. I felt reassured and relieved that our short time frame was not going to be a problem.
Unfortunately, I must mention that we had one snag while working with Leilani Weddings, but Danielle swiftly intervened to correct the situation. Understandably, Leilani Weddings only trusts certain florists to carry out their brides’ vision with style and we were connected with Will Zipperer. Long story short, Will severely lacked accountability (without explanation, failed to show up to scheduled phone calls or respond to my emails multiple times), we had to let him go, leaving us suddenly without a florist a month prior to our wedding. Leilani weddings promptly cut ties with him and immediately reached out to other florists to step in.
Our month-of coordinator was Annie Lee. We don’t even know where to start to do her justice. She was simply AMAZING. FLAWLESS. So much fun to work with, patient and proactive in everything that she did. So personable throughout the whole process. Above all, we really appreciated how she advocated for us in moments when we did not know how. She definitely looked out for us and effortlessly adapted to the demands of our wedding day. My husband was particularly impressed by how Annie always stayed one step ahead, asking the right questions to help us double check our plans. Just as we had hoped for, we were able to just sit back and truly enjoy being the bride and groom while Annie took the lead. Her two wonderful assistants, Jessica and Michelle, also helped ensure our day was perfect.
We understand that it is hard to decide on who to entrust your special day. Any vendor out there can put together a wedding, but if you’re looking for a team that will undoubtedly enhance your wedding experience, we HIGHLY recommend going with Leilani Weddings!

le and her team have it all! My husband and I just got married on March 31st, 2018 and our day couldn’t have been any more perfect. It was truly a dream come true and seeing my wedding vision come to life was magnificent! Danielle, thank you for being there for me as not only your client but also now a friend. When I unexpectedly and tragically lost my Father in August you showed up as a my friend and was there for me through the toughest time of my life. Planning a wedding is hard enough and grieving the loss of my Father is unimaginable. Your professionalism, eye for design, and attention to detail made made trusting you and your entire time team easy through some of the hardest months. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Leilani Weddings is the best!

Great group of people. Easy to work with, very professional. Our wedding day went exactly as planned. Couldn't have pulled it off with out their help!
On 3/2/18, my fiancé and I hired Leilani Weddings, specifically, Danielle as our full-service wedding planner to plan both our wedding in California and our engagement party in Sea...
ttle. Danielle misrepresented that she would personally lead our wedding planning and design task. She also misrepresented that she would perform all tasks outlined in the initial agreement including researching and recommending engagement party and wedding venues and vendors. In reliance on this information, we agreed to Danielle's $8,500 service price.
In less than 24 hours after I paid $2125, I learned that Danielle had no intentions of fulfilling her end of the contract or delivering the services. On 3/3/18, Danielle sent me a purported report of research she completed on venues and vendors for our engagement party. The report included insufficient information. I realized through a quick Google search that this list was found on a website unrelated to Leilani Weddings. None of the information followed the guidelines we gave Danielle. Many of the vendors were out of the Seattle area – as far as Idaho – which would require extensive travel fees. I contacted Danielle and learned that the report was completed by an intern and she agreed it was incomplete. Danielle apologized for not supervising her intern or reviewing any of the work. Danielle stated that the quality of the work was so poor that she terminated the intern. Based on my concerns, Danielle and I agreed to void the initial contract and negotiate a new one.
As part of the new terms, Danielle asked that I check her references and reconsider finding another planner. On 3/7/18, via telephone, Danielle agreed to pay me $2125 if I decided to no longer retain her and not sign a new contract. Danielle made this agreement but didn’t intend to pay the $2125.
After speaking with her references, on 3/13/18, I spoke with Danielle to follow-up. I let her know that I would consider partial planning because I planned my engagement party on my own and I researched and found my own wedding venue. Prior to our call, I planned a trip to Cali to view the potential venues and meet Danielle for the first time.
After the call, Danielle sent me a new contract for $6,000 for partial planning. I called and let her know that $6,000 was more money than the $5,500 initially quoted. She said that her partial planning package is for 12 months and that she was charging me extra since my wedding was 17 months away. She said she did not want to meet with me in Cali or start any planning until I signed a new contract. She suggested that if I wanted to pay the lower price, we cancel our in-person meeting in Cali (that I had already paid a plane ticket for from Michigan) and wait to meet in Sept., that way it will be 12 months of planning.
At that point, I was disgusted because she had already took $2125; however, not knowing when I would be able to fly back to Cali, she didn't want to meet when I would already be in Cali because of a difference in $500.
That night I demanded the payment of $2125.00, and offered for Danielle to invoice me for any services, she may have completed in the one day of service. Danielle refused and ceased all further communication. I can't imagine any reputable business owner thinking it's ok to keep $2125 when they didn't even start working yet and knowing that didn't live up to any of their promised services. I have no plans of ever hiring another planner after this experience.
If I can give Danielle 1 million stars I would! I would even buy her a real Star!! That's how great of a person she is! But in all seriousness, what can we NOT say about Danielle a...
nd Leilani Weddings? We met Danielle a year and a half ago and my husband and I instantly connected with her. We told her we wanted a music festival/Coachella themed wedding and she knew EXACTLY how to do it and ran with it. Throughout the year and a half planning process, she was on top of it. From the mood boards, the vendors she recommended, answering our questions, and the million email threads (I would get emails from her at 4am. She never sleeps!) She’s organized, friendly, professional, and KNOWS WHAT SHES DOING! Wedding planning and Danielle are like peas and carrots. They are so perfect for one another. If you’re like me and don’t know anything about weddings, she will DEFINITELY take care of you. I didn't know what a charger was and had to google it! The week before my wedding she called me and explained we had to use a different florist. She went through 2 florists before deciding on one. Any other person probably would have settled on the 2nd florist and called it a day but Danielle knew it wasn't up to par and didn't want to let us down. Never once did I lose my marbles during the floral fiasco. I had full confidence that Danielle and her team would go above and beyond, and she did! I don’t want to be cocky but our guests have said our wedding was the best they have ever been too. I’m not saying that because I’m writing a review but because it’s fact and it was THE BEST WEDDING EVER! My husband and I wished we were guests attending our wedding. So much detail, thought, and hard work were put into our wedding and it truly showed.
Knowing and working with her for so long it was very hard to say goodbye to her.
Knowing all the calls, emails, and text messages would be over was depressing. We even teared up at the end of my wedding saying how we’re gonna miss working with one another. I’m so proud of Danielle for what she has accomplished with Leilani Weddings and I have NO DOUBT in my mind shes gonna be more HUGE than she already is in the very very near future! She has the vision, she has the drive, and she has the personality to get the job done. The relationship she has with vendors is amazing. They respect and love working with her. Not only the vendors but also her Leilani staff. Her team keeps growing and all respect her, and witnessing that says a lot about a person. Danielle loves what she does and lives for her clients reactions! Leilani Weddings is her baby and she will make sure she does a jaw dropping job and you will be left speechless when you see her work on your big day! So I say congratulations to you for hiring Leilani Weddings as you will have the best wedding ever!
