Juan and the Lekker team did an amazing job catering our rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour and wedding reception. Juan is down to earth and an excellent chef who truly enjoys the creative process of putting together an amazing spread. He takes pride in enabling an incredible celebration, and worked very well with our coordinator, Lydia from Catskills Weddings. We leaned into the fall flavors and local fare, which he advised us on to build our menu during the tasting. We appreciated his all-included and transparent pricing approach, and how he treats his team to get the best service and have fun while doing it. We opted for family style service and every guest was raving about the food -- saying the variety and flavors were incredible. We love that he sources most ingredients locally. The meal was served seamlessly, and Juan’s team put extra care into accommodating dietary needs (allergies & strict kosher) which we really appreciated so our guests could enjoy. We would highly recommend them.

Juan and the Lekker team were excellent! He took into consideration all of our requests (and different dietary restrictions of guests) for our 50 person wedding. He was also very friendly, down to earth (but also professional), approachable and an all around pleasure to work with. Mo and the rest of the Lekker team made the day go so much smoother than I thought it would go. They were professional, friendly, and timely. Most important, the food was delicious! We got so many compliments from guests especially for the Steelhead Trout with dill and preserved lemon, herb grilled chicken and mashed potatoes. I highly recommend Juan and his team.

Juan was great! He helped me so much and was so affordable. His food is so delicious and his team is attentive.

Planning our event with Juan was as easy as slicing through the buttery filet mignon that he served. He was flexible, supportive, and fair. His culinary intelligence is evident as he crafted a wheat free-vegan-carrot cake that blew our minds! Aside from great food, Juan brings with him a calm and cheery presence. Juan and the team at Lekker were AMAZING to work over the 2 YEARS it took to plan our wedding amidst a pandemic!! Juan is flexible, down to earth, and kind! Also, his food is some of the most delicious I've ever tasted. We used Juan for Friday and Saturday (wedding) night. For Friday, he brought his food truck, which is a very fun option for a more casual vibe! On Friday, his team saved the night when an unexpected storm forced everyone inside a little barn. They rushed all the food inside, probably getting soaked in the process!! Everyone said the food was incredible both Friday and Saturday.

Juan and the Lekker team made our wedding reception dinner absolutely spectacular and everything we hoped it would be!! From the moment I reached out, Juan was easy to work with, communicative, and supportive - we wanted a pretty pared-down catering situation, and Juan heard us out and flexed to our hopes and goals with grace and professionalism. He hosted us at his restaurant for a tasting and sat with us himself the whole time, telling us the stories behind his restaurant, his food, and his approach to hosting and celebrating. His generosity of spirit blew us away and confirmed beyond a doubt we'd made the right choice. If that wasn't enough, his food is INCREDIBLE. Every single thing we ate was amazing and we were extremely hard pressed to decide on favorite dishes. And the team delivered the same level of deliciousness at our venue, planning around and working with a reduced mobile set up that fit our setting perfectly. Our guests raved about the meal and thoroughly enjoyed each dish. I cannot recommend Lekker and Juan highly enough to weddings in the area or any celebration that is searching for a good-spirited caterer with unmatched professionalism and truly remarkable food.

I'm sure Lekker's food is as everyone says, but we will not have an opportunity to enjoy it at my daughter's wedding next June. After two weeks, three emails, and three phone calls asking for his ideas, Juan evidently did not have the time or organization to present us with a proposal. When I called him and told him this made me nervous about Lekker's future performance, he replied in an email declining to work with us at all and saying "It has become clear already that you are not the kind of clients with whom we here at Lekker Catering wish to deal with." Perhaps we're not, but I did find this reply rather rude and unprofessional. So, dismayed at not enjoying Lekker's food and catering, I guess the feeling will be mutual - Juan and his company is not the kind of vendor with whom my family wishes to deal with. Others may have different experiences, but lack of attention up front for such an important event does not speak well.

We wanted a breakfast buffet for our morning wedding, which is kinda hard to find. Juan was spot on with his first response to our inquiry, and easy to talk to with every follow up. The sample of our menu was delicious, and the wedding day was the same quality and generous quantity. I highly recommend Lekker Catering!

Our wedding planner found Lekker for us and we knew at our first tasting that they were the ones for us. Not only was the food delicious, it was plated with thoughtfulness and care. The owner, Juan, took our numerous dietary restrictions and preferences seriously. Throughout the planning process Juan was communicative and paid attention to every detail. When my (now) husband and I arrived at cocktail hour we were greeted with cocktails and our friends and family were already raving about the hors d'oeuvres. We had a plated dinner and the food service was efficient and seamless. All personalized requests were met and the staff was attentive throughout the meal. We had a dessert table that was set up next to the dance floor without detracting from the event. Their attention to detail even included plates of dessert being placed on our sweetheart table. Not something we requested, but very much appreciated. Even now, a week after our wedding, friends and family are still talking about the amazing food. Overall, Lekker did a fabulous job catering our wedding and we would hire them again without reservation.

Great food, my husband and I are vegan and Luc, Juan and their team provided a fully vegan menu from start to finish! Dessert was amazing!

We just got married at Handsome Hollow in Long Eddy, NY this past weekend and used Lekker as our full-service caterer. We were one of the first weddings to have the hand-off from former owner, Luc, to the new current full-time owner, Juan Romero. Admittedly I was very nervous because Luc and I had previously agreed on a whole custom food & drink & rentals package for X dollars, and naturally some details and specifics were lost when Juan took over. Luckily, we had the opportunity to meet in person, and Juan continued to be very responsive with phone calls, texts, and email. On the day-of, the food and cocktails were delicious - we got so many compliments. Juan and his staff juggled everything so well. He responded to every question and executed everything as smoothly as we would have ever hoped. Every little thing we asked for - like my favorite food of pesto grilled shrimp, a family-style feast of vegetarian Mediterranean food, using zero plastic (like straws and cups) to be more environmentally conscious, bringing donuts from a local bakery for dessert, etc. etc. - he did with zero hesitation. He even added things on after the final menu was set (like His & Hers cocktails when I remembered those were a thing, and watermelon for a late-night snack) with zero fuss. Our wedding ended up being perfect in every way, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Lekker Catering to anyone.

Luc and his team delivered one of the most delicious and fun dinner experiences we’ve ever had - and all within our budget limitations - but we must be honest it did come along with a bit of risk and anxiety. Communication from him was spotty and required a bit of nudging, and information he provided was at times incomplete. But we realized that Luc had a looser, more casual way of working with his clients, and we needed to trust his expertise, creativity, and adaptations to local/seasonal availability. Having said all that, we went to Woodstock to try his food and were totally won over. He was willing to work within our budget while coming up with a fun & fresh menu to honor both our mixed heritages. He also incorporated his tiger orange food truck (complete with sound system & disco ball) to serve one of the dishes from the window, while guests could pour their own draft beers from their built-in taps! Our guests raved about literally every single appetizer and dinner option (most a far cry from typical wedding fare), and the servers and bartenders were friendly and accommodating. We would totally work with Luc again, but just be ready for a more laissez-faire experience.

Lekker was the perfect choice for our wedding. From the moment we met Luc and tasted his food, we knew we had found the right caterer. Luc was super easy to work with and extremely helpful with suggestions when we decided to have a mostly vegetarian wedding. On the day of the wedding, his staff was so polite and worked hard from start to finish. They were quick to adapt when the wind started blowing a little harder than we wanted. It was easy to relax the day of the wedding; they took complete control and made everything run smoothly. They even had a staff member assigned to us who brought us appetizers, drinks, and dessert while we were too busy mingling to get anything for ourselves. Everyone raved about the food and drinks, even the non-vegetarians. We absolutely recommend Lekker for anyone's event or wedding.

Overall the food was delicious and everyone was catered to at our wedding. We received many compliments on the food and flavors we selected to serve. Luc was very accommodating when it came to switching some flavors and styles of dishes. We were both open minded when the dishes came together. We were able to incorporate our own flavors from our Spanish culture, seasonal summer dishes and texas bbq. Everything was done in a timely manner. Check out their restaurant A&P. He also makes great dutch apple pie!

We are so happy we went with Lekker for our wedding. The food was absolutely delicious and exactly what we wanted. Everyone was very happy. And people loved the pie! Many thanks to Lekker for helping to make our wedding special.

As long-time Woodstock residents my (now) wife Patty and I are huge fans of Oriel9 and Yum Yum. Luc, who started both restaurants (and recently sold them both to start Lekker) is hands-down the best, most creative and most thoughtful caterer you could hire for your wedding. Our “European with a Twist,” five+ course meal featured everything from watermelon with jalapeño salt to perfect Chilean Sea Bass and fall-off-the-bone Korean ribs. But it wasn’t just the meal itself, or the Lekker late night food truck, which showed up around 10pm and served sliders, grilled cheese sandwiches and fish tacos to a line of about 30 guests who still couldn't get enough. It was the care and thoughtfulness Luc and Michelle put into the entire experience, especially since my fiancee and I didn’t have a wedding planner and no real idea of how a wedding, especially one hosted on our own property, was supposed to work. First, Luc and Michelle put together a 15-course tasting menu for Patty and me to actually taste each potential dish on our wedding menu about three months before the wedding. Then Luc came out to our property and ended up spending about two hours helping us figure out everything from where to put the tents to how to light the trees – even details on the timing of the ceremony. The fact that Luc and Michelle also know everyone in the industry is incredibly important, especially for us, given our lack of a wedding planner. Details that may have been overlooked were figured out well in advance, many of which we never even knew we should have been worrying about. Finally, it really comes down to the type of people you get to work with. We never felt any pressure working with Luc and Michelle. In fact, they made us realize how much fun this whole experience can be, and they did it while creating one of the most memorable meals of our lives.

Impeccable edibles! Lekker catered our wedding and it was simply mouthwatering, fresh, local ... and what's more, a beautiful spread! We worked with Lekker on a locally-inspired menu served family style to capture that "farm" vibe. Everything was as fresh as it would have been at a dinner for two. Michelle and the team were incredible to work with, taking all feedback quickly and deftly. The staff was perfect and integrated seemlessly and subtly into the event. I had a little moment at my wedding where I needed some help and the staff rushed to my side to make sure I was ok, which speaks to the kind of people they employ. Also would highly recommend incorporating their food truck into your event! We had late night nachos and our guests still rave about that touch. The food truck is great for places -- like barns and farms -- where you may need to bring in all your own equipment. It all comes with them so you don't have to worry about extra rentals. We loved Lekker and would recommend them and their team in a heartbeat to make your special day delicious!

Lekker did the catering at my friend’s wedding. Awesome! The food was well prepared and very tasteful. The professional staff organized all very well. From welcome drinks till late night snacks all went smoothly. This experience will make the choice for the catering at my wedding very easy!

From the moment we met Michelle and tasted Luc's food, my husband and I knew we found the right caterer. We met in Woodstock, having already stuffed ourselves at a previous (and inferior) caterer. It was hard to not devour every bite, the food was so good. Michelle made everything super easy in terms of planning. Lots of flexibility, lots of guidance. Execution was everything we could have hoped for. We didn't need to worry about a thing. The food was delicious and fresh and family style in all the right ways. Another reviewer mentioned food being brought out one dish at a time, but that was not our experience. We had the food served family style, in courses, with the dessert being offered at a table later in the evening. They packaged our leftovers up and guests were able to continue eating as they wished -- and then the food went back to the hotel for late night snacking. Guests raved. We were happy. Let's do it again :)

Unfortunately, we had high hopes for the caterer after the great reviews our kids had at the tasting. I will say the cocktail hour and food served there was excellent. We had some specific requests like no champagne toast and found the tables set up with chapagne flutes and servers pouring. Also, we had pies and ice cream for dessert. The small wedding cake was for picture and ceremony only and the new couple wanted the cake to take home. Unfortunately the cake after the cutting was cut up in small pieces and added to the dessert table. I am not sure why those requests were not honored. Michele was so lovely to work with although it was difficult to connect with her as we were planning. But she was very open to the last minute changes in numbers as guests change their original number needs to be adjusted. When one thinks of family style, I think all the food on the table and passed among the guests. I was shocked that one food choice came at a time. Our courses began with asparagus...alone...which was overdone and mushy. Next came chicken o we put a piece of chicken on our plates. The trout came next, and it was good, as was the chicken. Finally, the braised short ribs came, which were good, but our end of the table had two on the plate for about 4-6 people. We were never offered more. Last after all was done, came the roasted root vegetables. They were not done enough, very hard and as with all the other course, odd as a single tng on our plates. If family style means one at a time...they should make that clear. I would never had agreed to that. The killing blow wS the following day when we returned to the barn to be asked what to do with all the leftover food when no server at our table ever offered us more and guests went home hungry. I think Lekkarvhas potential, but it was completely unrealized at our wedding and I am afraid could not recommend them to anyone else.

Our food at our wedding really was delicious. Michelle is absolutely wonderful and worked with us throughout the whole process and managed every issue and question. The food was served extremely quickly for only having two workers serving the buffet, we did notice that it did take longer for plates to be cleared after dinner because of the lean staff. The hors d'oeuvres, dinner and full bar were perfect.
