I am Amy Hoyt, owner, and fine artist with over 20 years experience in creation and portraiture. I'm a full-time firefighter in Whatcom county and am very thankful to be able to serve my community. I love all things outdoors, and specialize in adventure elopements.
My artistic passion is capturing organic moments with dramatic perspective. I love movement and emotion, (preferably simultaneously). Past clients have stated that getting photographed by me feels effortless and fun.

ition to our wedding experience. Amy photographed our wedding and captured the most stunning candid moments, and built an immediate partnership with the videographer (who she hadn’t ever met before) so they could work in tandem throughout the day. She was seamlessly a part of every event transition and worked quickly on the family portraits so we could enjoy the reception as much as possible! We also did a post-wedding photoshoot with her which was so much fun and super high energy. I didn’t have a professional available to do my hair, because I tried to re-do the wedding day style myself it came undone right before the photo session was supposed to begin. I was at a loss for what to do but Amy was unfazed and went straight into problem solving mode. She sat me down and literally styled my hair in 5 minutes using a set of pins she had in her car! It looked like it had been done by a professional. As for the shoot itself, it felt like we were shooting a magazine cover for non-traditional weddings! We even got in the ocean in our wedding clothes and Amy and team were wonderful at directing us but also just letting the vibe unfold. The photos turned out so lovely and we will treasure them forever. She had second photographers with her for both shoots and they brought such amazing energy and even got my husband, who openly doesn’t love his photo being taken, to truly enjoy the experience. elaxed despite having never done a professional photoshoot. We knew from our first conversation with her that she would bring the positive energy we wanted on our wedding day, which is important given how much time you spend with your photographer. For our initial photoshoot, we chose to do a first look and private vows. She hiked with us up to Winchester mountain and even helped carry our heavy wedding outfits. It was incredibly special and it felt like we had a friend there with us, who also happened to be an amazing photographer!
Her eye for detail, storytelling through photos, and capturing real moments is what set her apart from the other photographers we considered. We loved her approach - she treats every wedding as unique and adapts her photo editing style to match the colors, vibe, and personality of the couple, which came through beautifully in our photos.
For the wedding weekend, she brought her adorable and talented kids who also took fantastic photos. I lost track of how many times her daughter helped me with my dress! The guests were also so impressed with them and their eye for detail - they were a really sweet addition to the day.
Amy took every photo on our shot list, and also remained flexible and relaxed as the schedule inevitably changed. She also surprised us with gorgeous photos of our rings and other wedding details that we hadn’t even asked for. We received our photos insanely fast, months before most other photographers we considered. Thank you, Amy!!

I flew to AZ for a secret unconventional "boudoir" shoot for a surprise wedding gift, she took me into the desert and shot me ON TOP of a C-130s plane!!
I told her we wanted break-taking views of our Venue that captured all I love about beautiful AZ and she has blown our minds once again. On our wedding day her& her team tirelessly worked for 11 hours in a record breaking early May heat wave, it was 108 degrees ( 20+ degrees warmer than it should've been)we were melting & in my 40lb dress I was melting faster, she wasn't phased one bit, she brought her amazing energy and this vibe that kept me smiling &calmed me instantly. She and her team were so prepared even brought me my fave drinks to cool off with & touch up makeup ( thank god because my makeup girl forgot my touch up kit) and were just much SO fun to work with. I cannot express how much I adore Amy- not only is she an amazing photographer she is an amazing person & friend. The lengths to which she will go to get the shot & make and capture your vision are just incredible.Nothing will stop this Unicorn photographer from getting the shot. She worked seamlessly with our vendors.She was always available to talk, I think we talked more than I did to my bridesmaids LOL. I continue to get compliments from all of my guests& vendors not only on our pics but about how amazing she was &the energy she brought to our special day and I cant wait to work with her again!

was the person for the job. She has a huge personality, very upbeat and high energy. She listened and took notes during our first meeting so we could make sure we were on the same page. She even checked in with me a couple of times beforehand to see what we were going to wear and answer my questions. We shot our engagement photos in downtown Phoenix. Amy was on the ground, up on a step latter, in the middle of the street and even had a helper to carry around lighting. We got different perspectives, action shots, and plays on lighting and textures. We walked around Phoenix and she helped create on the spot moments which is a skill in and of itself. She's professional while also being fun and energetic. She also uses high quality equipment so the images are top notch. I saw a sneak peek of our photos and am already in love.
