Working with Lena on our wedding was one of the best decisions we've ever made. She left us speechless! We have spent the last few months looking at our photos over and over and sharing them with our loved ones. Every single photo is absolute perfection and captures the pure joy we felt on our special day. We are truly amazed at how beautifully Lena captured our day and our love, and we are endlessly grateful for her talent and professionalism. Hiring Lena for our wedding was the best decision we ever made! She seriously exceeded every single expectation I had for photography, and was a ray of sunshine on our big (rainy) day. Not only are our sneak peaks from our August wedding incredible, but we received them just days after our wedding day. Chris and I are terribly awkward when it comes to taking photos, and Chris was unsure about the idea of an engagement shoot last year, thinking it would be awkward and posed. After meeting Lena for just an hour during our engagement session, he couldn’t stop raving about how amazing and fun the whole experience was! We seriously had a blast, laughed the entire time, and the photos blew us away. I can’t even count how many of our guests came up to me on the wedding day, saying that they loved her energy, and she was the most fun photographer they have ever met at a wedding. She was our ultimate hype woman all day, worked so well with our other vendors, and gave us the most amazing pictures we could have ever asked for. I had been following Lena for years, since before we were even engaged, because her work is so incredible. After working with her, I’m convinced there is not a single photographer on this planet that could give you a better wedding day experience or better photos. Book with Lena, you won't regret it. She was the first person we booked with after our venue because I knew I liked her photos.... but we got so much more! Lena was so helpful in terms of planning and just general counseling through the wedding process as well! Overall the BEST decision we made was working with Lena on our wedding day. We knew she was there taking photos but it never felt posed or stuffy. We were pleasantly surprised by how many awesome candids she captured that we didn't even see her taking. When we first started planning our wedding, Lena was the first vendor that we chose, after having seen her amazing work on Instagram. Throughout the planning process, Lena was consistently the most responsive, most organized and most professional vendor that we interacted with. From the beginning, her energy made us feel very comfortable - our wedding involved some non-traditional aspects that she never once made us feel awkward about, and on the day of, she was our cheerleader and kept everything and everyone moving smoothly. Neither of us are usually particularly comfortable in front of a camera or at the center of attention, but Lena helped us feel comfortable and confident - and just generally set us up to have an incredible day feeling good about ourselves and how we looked. Of course her professionalism did not end at the day of the wedding; all communication after the wedding was timely and we even woke up the next morning to some beautiful sneak peeks that we could immediately share with friends and family. When we were able to see the gallery a few weeks later, we were incredibly impressed at how beautiful the photos were, and how well they truly captured the spirit of the day. I don't even know where to start because you NEED to hire Lena Mirisola Photography for your wedding or elopement. Lena is out of this world phenomenal both in terms of her gorgeous artwork and in her beautiful personality and charm. She makes everything seem effortless because she is Just. That. Good. Her work is ridiculously stunning and she makes all of her clients feel like superstars. As a reserved person myself (who hates having her photo taken) she really makes the experience fun and makes even the most awkward person look like they are a professional model. If you want to have a genuinely fun time taking photos on your special day… hire Lena ASAP! She was hands down the most important decision we made for our wedding day. My husband and I chose to “elope” with a mini outdoor ceremony downtown Boston — and Lena provided us recommendations for other vendors (justice of the peace, hair/makeup, flowers, etc) to make the entire process easy and stress free. Day of, Lena’s energetic spirit made us all feel so comfortable in front of the camera (no small feat) and we are obsessed with the end result. Because she took the time to really understand our vision, we ended up with beautiful, fun, authentic photos that feel like us as a couple. Oh, and she was supportive of our dog being part of it all, too! I feel so incredibly lucky we found her and honestly couldn’t imagine our wedding day without her being apart of it. Choosing Lena as our photographer was the first and most important step of our wedding planning process. It also turned out to be the best decision we could have made—one that would mold our moods during and memories of our rehearsal dinner and wedding day. We stumbled upon Lena's brilliant work at the very outset of our wedding planning. At the time, we were thinking of getting married on Martha's Vineyard and were awed by the ease with which she captured the essence of the island juxtaposed with joyous couples. As our wedding plans evolved, and shifted several states, we worried that we wouldn't be able to engage her to travel. Luckily, those worries proved to be for not. When we first met Lena, she was more than game to travel to New York City for our wedding weekend. Moreover, she immediately put two women who have never felt comfortable in front of the camera at ease. She didn't just signal virtues of love and inclusivity—she lived them, as evidenced through the countless same sex couples she featured proudly on her website and our wonderful experience with her. As our wedding weekend arrived, and the inevitable nerves took hold, Lena was our calm within the storm. And we mean that quite literally—a last minute change rerouted our rehearsal dinner to a chartered sail around the New York Harbor during a rainstorm. Lena was unflappable, capturing candids of our friends and family as assuredly as if she was on land. Her good humor, excitement, and sheer professionalism melted away any wedding weekend jitters and let us finally relax. When our wedding day dawned (again, rainy), Lena was the consummate pro, scouting new locations for our first look while capturing dreamy flat lay compositions. She moved through our wedding and family groupings with ease, making sure that the perfect shot wasn't marred by an inadvertent yawn or closed eye. Our saddest moment on our wedding day? When Lena had to bid us goodbye from the dance floor. But that sadness melted away the second we got our sneak peek the next morning and when we received our full album in the weeks that followed. Anyone who has seen her work knows that Lena can capture an incredible image. But looking at our wedding gallery, we felt a sense of awe at Lena's artistry. She managed to suffuse every image with joy, love, and laughter. Looking back at our wedding pictures, we know there is no other photographer who could have done what Lena did. My husband and I got married at Boston city hall in August, and we had Lena as our photographer for the day. We loved her vision, her spirit, and her energy, not to mention her unbelievable talent. Where do I even begin? I had the opportunity to work with Lena on a September 2022 wedding at OceanCliff in Newport, RI. Lena was a true joy from our first interaction through the wedding day! She was a committed partner in mapping out all logistics on the photography front leading up to the big day as well as making the couple's photography vision come to life in the most magical way. She made the couple feel comfortable & extra special on one of the best days of their lives. Lena's energy is CONTAGIOUS and she will bring nothing but positive vibes. I'm so happy the stars (and moon!) aligned for Lena to be our wedding photographer. Our original photographer had canceled just a few months before our wedding. I immediately reached out to Lena to see if she was still available, she quickly hopped on a call with me to alleviate my stress and our contract was signed later that day. From the moment Lena responded, I knew we would be in good hands. You spend more time with your photographer than some of your guests, so it is so important you can feed off each other's energy (and energy is something Lena has!) and communicate clearly. Lena is a sweet, thoughtful, insanely talented, hilarious, hype-woman who can direct even those who feel awkward in front of the camera to capture the most amazing moments. She also goes above and beyond, from helping fluff my massive train to editing out the small details to perfect your photos (like your cousin's High Noon can, or an exit sign at the venue). We received about 40 sneak peaks the next day, and only had to wait a month for the full gallery of over 700 photos (which is unheard of, but SHE IS THE BEST). There were hundreds of beautiful photos, not only the classic portraits or formal photos, but all the details and candids that showcased the genuine emotion of our friends and family. Every time I look, I find a new favorite in the bunch. We are so thankful Lena was there to capture and tell the story of our day. If photography is a priority for your wedding, book Lena ASAP!

If you’re in the market for a wedding photographer, look no further. Lena was hands down the best choice we made amidst the sea of chaos that was our wedding planning. When we first started the process of looking for a wedding photographer, we were overwhelmed by the multitude of options. That said, being an artist myself, it was important to me that our pictures of our wedding day had a very specific look. I knew what it was in my head, but couldn’t quite put it into words. Enter Lena. We found Lena on Instagram and we instantly fell in love with her aesthetic, the artistic detail in each photo, and I remember commenting how each couple she shot felt unique, each post was absolutely aesthetically Lena, but I could tell instantly who the couple was by just looking at the pictures. It was also important to us to find someone who identified as queer, and or an ally to our community. So, we met Lena for parmesan truffle fries at our favorite dive bar, and the rest is history. Our planning was tumultuous. We had to cancel our wedding twice due to Covid, so Lena has been in our lives since 2019. While we couldn’t be more thrilled with our wedding day pictures (seriously every picture) – you hire Lena for the experience, for the sharing of recipes, for the Christmas holiday present drop offs, for the support of knowing you are hiring someone who doesn’t just look at her couples as a contract, rather as an integral part to both her artistic process, but more importantly her life. There is no doubt Lena will be in our lives for quite some time. Lena is by far the best decision you will make in your wedding planning. She is so helpful, kind, talented, attentive - I really don't have enough good things to say about her. She really listens to what you are looking for as a couple. She came to NYC to meet us for our engagement shoot, made us feel so comfortable - and on the actual day of the wedding, everything was a breeze. Our families loved her as well. the BEST!

Lena is supremely talented, professional, responsive, hilarious, warm, compassionate, and is someone who you can tell was called to their profession. A photographer was the vendor we were most picky about, and we picked Lena because her style speaks for itself and her personality was the perfect fit for us. We loved how her photos cover the spectrum, ranging from fun, loud moments popping champagne, to the quieter moments with our family, to capturing our real essence as a couple. She made us feel like the best version of ourselves and both our engagement shoot and wedding day were so much fun. Hiring Lena is the best decision you can make during the wedding planning process. She isn’t just supremely talented, she will make sure you have FUN on your wedding day. You don’t realize just how much time you and your spouse will be spending with your photographer, and one of Lena’s most valuable attributes is that you actually want to hang out with her – if she wasn’t our photog, I’d have had her as a guest! She brings amazing energy and a great sense of humor, which ensures the smiles she’s capturing are genuine – nothing feels stiff, posed or awkward. We had a blast with Lena during the looooong period between our engagement shoot and our wedding (thanks to a COVID postponement), and we really feel like we gained a friend in the process. She had our entire wedding party and families laughing the day of, and let me tell you, she is an ace when it comes to keeping you on schedule. We were running close to 45 minutes behind for our first look and pre-ceremony pictures, and Lena wrangled everyone with such efficiency that she got all the shots she needed and wrapped up 15 minutes AHEAD of schedule. Most importantly, the final result is outstanding. Our wedding album was delivered so quickly – 900+ perfectly edited shots that were so gorgeous and natural, and truly captured the joy, energy and emotion of the day. Many of our family and friends have asked to watch slideshows of the album with us, and every single one has paused at some point during the show to comment on just how incredible our photographer was.

Lena was a really amazing wedding photographer and our guests still tell us how impressed they were by her professionalism. She took us through the photos we needed in a really relaxed manner and she was so excited when she got the shots she needed! It was really fun working with her to take photos before the ceremony started. During the ceremony and reception, she and her second shooter were always available if we wanted to get a picture with a certain guest, but they were never being obtrusive or in the way. They were both a pleasure to work with and we would definitely recommend going with Lena for your photography needs! You can really see the love" is something we hear all the time when people look at our wedding photos. How do you even begin to describe the many talents of Lena Mirisola? Funny, outgoing, high energy and with a talent for making everyone feel so comfortable in front of a camera; before you even know what has happened, Lena's engaging personality disarms and takes charge and photos are taken before you know what happened. Behind her casual fun attitude is an amazing talent with an eye for the perfect shot. She is a gifted and talented photographer who takes stunning photos equally matched by her one-of-a-kind personality who bring joy and love to her work. Our wedding took place as the world began to slowly emerge from Covid so not only was our day a celebration of love, it was a celebration of life and opportunity for our most important friends to gather and reunite after nearly 2 years of separation. Every photograph from Lena is a punctuation of joy and with her amazing talent we are able to be transported back to that very moment of our day. And while some of our family could not come from Ireland for our wedding because of travel restrictions, thanks to Lena our family was able to share in our wedding and experience our wedding as if they were there. We knew from the very beginning that we wanted Lena for our wedding. She is invested in every couple and takes the time to get to know them and their story. She is more than a photographer. Lena is simply the best of the best. I found her by googling about Boston elopements and set my calendar until we could hire her. She is incredibly responsive during the planning stage and her website is very informative. On our wedding day we had 12 guests, all of whom raved about Lena for days. We were all amazed by her energy and how she made everyone so comfortable. We got all of the family photos we wanted in a short amount of time, so we could spend the rest of the session alone which was perfect. Lena sent us the most gorgeous photos the next day and the rest of our photos less than two weeks later (magic!?) I may be biased but they are the most beautiful photos I have ever seen. Lena was the only "must have" for my wedding day and I am so glad we found her!

We cannot say enough positive things about Lena. She is amazing, talented, organized, repsoinve, and maybe the most enthusiastic person we have ever met haha . When researching wedding photographers, we pretty quickly zeroed in on Lena after looking at her prior work at our venue and scrolling through her impressive Instagram account. In our first phone conversation, we were immediately drawn to her energy and inclusive mindset. Within minutes of ending the call, we formally booked her. Neither of us are super into getting our pictures taken so it was really important to us that we had a photographer that could make this entire experience fun and painless, and that’s exactly what she did! Lena and her second shooter, Rachel, provided an incredible range of photos from your planned posed combinations to candids to amazing decor/scenery images. Some of our favorites are the intimate moments they were able to catch when we thought no one was watching. Lena not only captured the joy of the day but also turned around the sneak peek by the next morning. WHO DOES THAT?! We were able to show our family/friends at the send off brunch and everyone commented how they had to wait weeks/months for any pictures at all. We love our photographs so much and can't help but look at them everyday. Book Lena while you can!! You absolutely will not regret it!

What drew me to Lena (beyond her obviously beautiful photography) were the seemingly endless reviews about her positive energy. After our first shoot with her, I can confidently say that this hype is real. Lena can take nerves and other gunky feelings and wash (or at least distract!) them away. In doing so, she captures magical little moments that are special and unique. Seeing ourselves through her lens was pretty wild because our feelings were visible – we weren’t just cheesing for a basic picture. Her talents are worth investing in, especially if you’re looking for someone to perfectly capture the most meaningful moments in your life.

Lena is an AMAZING photographer (check out her insta, swoon!!) and an even better human! We knew from the moment we looked at her insta and other photos that she was the one for us. Her photography is simply stunning! She is so talented, energetic, and fun, and will bring the best best best energy to your wedding! She goes above and beyond for her couples! She makes you feel so at ease and like you're going to have the best photos ever for your wedding (which you will, duh, I have mine back and OBSESSED). Lena was extremely reachable and responsive, and extremely ORGANIZED! She created a shot list for photographs we wanted to get so nothing was missed. She was organized and in charge on the day of the wedding. She made me and my husband (and all of our wedding party and family!) feel so at ease while we were taking a million photos. I've been in weddings where its a sh!t show coordinating photos, and Lena was the complete opposite. She even provided a list of other vendors she has worked with and was impressed by, incase you needed any other suggestions!! We got our sneak peek photographs back so early the next morning and were in AWE! I die. Gorgeous! We were able to get our entire album of photographs back in an extremely fast and reasonable time. Lena is an incredibly talented photographer who takes gorgeous photographs and an absolutely amazing, one-of-a-kind person who will bring so much joy and energy to your wedding, and you should (metaphorically) run, not walk, to book her now. Seriously, stop reading this review and go book her now. I found Lena’s website after Googling “how to elope in Boston,” which has a whole section dedicated to all the nitty gritty details for eloping in Boston. Her vivacious energy leaps off the page, her photo galleries are absolutely stunning, and I immediately knew that we had to have her as our photographer (we even changed our date so that Lena could squeeze us into her August schedule). I knew the second that Lena responded to our inquiry that we had picked the right person—she made me feel like we were already good friends and was so helpful in providing all the information that we needed to put together our elopement package. She made the entire process so easy and stress-free and her communication was always timely and incredibly helpful (honestly, she was like a mini-elopement planner, which was exactly what I needed because I had no idea what I was doing). For the day of, we met Lena at the Boston Public Garden and even though this was our first time meeting in person, I felt like I had known her forever. I was feeling awkward/nervous about traipsing around Boston in a wedding dress, but that melted away instantly once Lena started shooting—she somehow managed to make it feel like that was the most natural thing in the world to be doing on a Thursday afternoon. Further, neither myself or my now-husband are very natural in front of a camera and Lena made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. Finally, it was a sweltering 95 degrees (105 heat index, anyone?) and we were absolutely dripping in sweat the entire time and yet you cannot tell, at all, from the pictures (Lena is that good). In the end, we had an absolute blast taking pictures with Lena in the heat and it stands out as one of my favorite parts of our wedding day—Lena is just fun to be around (and absolutely hilarious). And in case you need any more testimonials, our respective families could not stop talking about how amazing Lena was for the rest of the evening and into the next morning at brunch. Four months later and we’re still talking about how amazing the pictures came out and what an absolute TREASURE of a person she is. Again, I cannot recommend Lena highly enough. Book her and I promise you will not be disappointed.

We had a ton of fun and spent most of the time laughing!! We also dealt with gale force winds during our family photos. Lena took charge and helped us get them done as quickly as possible, reassuring me that she could photoshop my hair into place (which she did!). When my husband and I were traveling home the day after our wedding, we were surprised to get a ton of "sneak peek" photos from Lena. I mean... So. Fast. It was so fun to get to relive everything the following day. Lena then turned around the final album soon after. They were absolutely amazing. I have no words. We love them!! There wasn't a detail she missed. We're so happy we have them forever to look back on. Working with Lena was worth every penny. Thank you, Lena!!!

The first thing you need to do before picking date, venue, or anything else is see if Lena is available! When we got engaged we thought we were going to get married on Cape Cod and found Lena on Instagram and fell in love with her style and energy. Plans changed and we decided to get married at home in NYC and asked Lena if she would be interested. We are so lucky she said yes! Lena is the absolute best at what she does and was the most amazing hype woman throughout our entire engagement. For months she reassured us and made us feel so special - not just a client among many. When we were finally able to meet her at our postponed engagement shoot in Central Park we knew we made the right decision. She made us feel relaxed, comfortable, and excited for the big day! She was available for panic phone calls / texts / DMs, and did her research on areas we might want to take pictures and poses that would suit us as a couple. When the wedding weekend began it was like meeting up with an old friend. We were lucky enough to hire her for both our rehearsal dinner and our wedding. Her capture of our rehearsal dinner was like receiving an additional wedding album. Lena was able to identify family members, friends, and get those special shots we dreamed of. Her ability to get the entire family and wedding party to relax and engage is unparalleled. We have both been in a lot of weddings and trust us when we say, LENA GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND. One thing that we were a little worried about was the unique (dark) lighting in our venue space, and Lena didn’t bat an eye, saying simply “oh I got this” and she was right. Also, despite never seeing our church before in person, she had researched the best angles - yet another thing she took off our plate. The day after our wedding we woke up to our sneak peak in our email and the full album was delivered soon after (around four weeks post wedding), even during this crazy fully-booked 2021 wedding year! LENA is everything you need in a wedding photographer. She is your ULTIMATE HYPE GIRL!!! While planning our wedding I came across her and her inspiring photos of so many happy elopments. Despite the pandemic and the fact that we had to switch plans a few times; from Boston City Hall elopement to Boston Micro Wedding to ultimately eloping in Hawaii. Sadly she could not come with us to Hawaii but we really wanted to meet her. So we met up with her for an engagement photo shoot. Meeting for the first time in real life and having a stranger take photos of you can be intimidating and awkward. But Lena's bubbly personality and charisma made us feel like we've known her for years. She was accommodating and made the experience extra fun and special. I would also like to add we had just gotten a puppy named Mango and wanted to include her in the photos. Of course Mango decided to break her leg the day before the photo shoot. Long story short, Lena got some awesome photos with Mango and her amazing boyfriend Paul went above and beyond and made sure she was taken care of during our time together. Lena was very communicative and supportive through out the whole process. We not only found a photographer but it feels like we also got a new friend.

You need Lena!!! The first thing my husband and I looked at and booked for our elopement was a photographer, and I am so thankful I found Lena's website. She is amazing! Not only are your pictures going to look so good that everyone is going to message you and ask who your photographer was, but you get a super supportive, extremely sweet, hype woman/best friend for the day. Lena makes sure that everything goes great, you get all the shots you want, AND she makes walking around Boston in full wedding gear seem normal! My husband does not like being in front of the camera, but Lena made it easy peasy! He said that he never felt awkward about being in front of the camera at all that day, which is a huge surprise. But just goes to show that Lena definitely has superpowers! Lena is also very responsive! She keeps you in the loop about timing for the ceremony and pictures, as well as answering any question you have as soon as she can without making you feel like your questions/concerns are stupid (even if you feel like they are). Every time I look at our wedding gallery, it's like I'm reliving the day all over again. Lena was able to capture every single emotion we had throughout the afternoon, and it is amazing. Working with Lena was an absolute dream, and if you can, BOOK HER ASAP.

Lena was the first vendor I booked after seeing an absolutely beautiful shot she took for another couple. We used her for our engagement shoot and wedding. She is worth EVERY. PENNY. First things first - she simply has a gift. We are not huge photo takers because we both don't love how we look in pictures. Lena's personality helps with any awkwardness or jitters. We are *obsessed* with how the photos came out. Beyond the quality of her work, she has the process down to a science - getting through photos quickly, without creating stressed or a rushed feeling. She is also willing to answer any question you have (even if not directly related to photos), which is extremely helpful if you're not working with a wedding planner. She was super patient with us as we tried to create a new plan post-postponement. Even if I was annoying, she never made me feel that way and I really appreciated her willingness to help. Last - you'll feel like you gained a friend through the process. Lena is an absolute blast to be around. Everyone at our wedding raved about how awesome she was. We feel very lucky to have worked with her!!

Invest wisely and choose Lena! Real talk: my partner and I had been, literally, following Lena for a couple of years, dying over her amazing photos. We thought about the price, knew we could find someone who could do our couples photos cheaper. So two years ago, we went with a lower quoted price and we totally regretted it! From that shoot we didn't get *any* pictures we liked, all of them ending up in the digital trash. After that disaster, we booked Lena without reservation. You totally get what you pay for. You know when you have a friend that gets married and then they talk about how the day goes so fast and they can’t stop looking at their photos and you smile politely and kind of roll your eyes....Well it totally does and I seriously can’t stop OBSESSING over the photos Lena and Genevieve took of our day. She calls herself a hype-woman and I think that is an understatement if possible. From the moment Lena walked into our hotel room she was a total boss and was snapping away. Oh and the best part, it was low key snapping not in your face. Sure she uses you like a prop now and then to get that killer shot with your dress, but 90% of the time you will end up looking at your photos and thinking...How did I not see her there!!?? We picked Lena because her candid shots of guests pulled us in. You can really feel the emotion and energy in her photos and it is clear she is passionate about what she does. She is awesome to be around and can get genuine laughter out of you with her immeasurable enthusiasm. BOOK HER - if you can! We were given Lena's name by a family friend who works with her frequently, and we were lucky enough to get her for our date! Once we looked at her work we immediately gravitated to her photos over the others we were considering. Everyone just looked like they were having fun, which is all we wanted! She was so easy to work with and responsive to questions. We've all heard the horror stories of wedding photos gone wrong, especially not getting them back for months. Not with Lena! We got a bunch of pictures the next morning and then our photos were ready in less than a month after our wedding! Not only did we get a ton of pictures back so soon but every single one of them is gorgeous! As someone who does not love their picture being taken, Lena was the perfect person to make us all feel comfortable with her amazing upbeat energy. She was also fast and efficient making sure she got each shot! Despite the excessive heat of the day, none of our pictures look like we are feeling it! So grateful to have her photos to capture all the beautiful memories of that day!

Standard weddings can be stressful on their own, but we were planning ours during covid and dealing with strained family relations- Lena was amazingly supportive and always came up with creative ways to address our concerns. The process of planning our engagement shoot and wedding day with her was so pleasant. My husband and I are both pretty introverted so I was worried about the awkwardness of posing, but with Lena awkward does not exist. The pictures are all so amazing and she captured us in such a beautiful, authentic way. We hired Lena for our engagement pictures after a friend referred us to her, and we are SO happy with our decision. Lena was amazing! Truly the best photographer to work with. We had an elopement at Cambridge city hall and she had everything planned out perfectly. It was really important to us that we had a photographer that could make this entire experience easy and painless, and that’s exactly what she did! She coordinated all the pictures to make sure we didn’t miss anything and everything was done in about an hour. We got a sneak peak just a few hours after we finished and all the pictures came out amazing! The time and energy she put into everything was apparent. Hiring Lena to photograph our elopement was the best decision we made!
