Leoness Cellars

Our wedding was at Leoness in Oct 2022. A destination wedding, so we were careful in our selection. Reviews at the time were great & when we saw the venue, it was perfect! Experience was decent until 1 mo before the wedding. Leoness had multiple coordinators turn over in the 1 yr we planned our wedding. We worked with 6 different people over the course of that time & while we had to repeat much of what we thought was documented on their end, we had some unsettling surprises when the date grew closer & caused us to pivot in some plans. We were provided a new coordinator the month before our big day & felt like we had to let her know the info over the past 11 months all over again. I referred to past emails, the agreements made with previous coordinators, info from the contract, etc. & seemed like we were starting over. A few of the vendors we were working with mentioned that the changes in coordinators had caused issues on their end as well-delays in responses, miscommunication, etc. Fast forward to our wedding day. As we arrive to the ceremony space, I hear a live band LOUDLY playing on the patio which is next to the ceremony lawn. I immediately got nervous. Why is this music playing? The ENTIRE intent of starting my ceremony at 5pm was to avoid other events. We were assured this the day we signed the contract. I could NOT hear my ceremony music, I could NOT concentrate on our moment. I asked our coordinator Bernadette to get them to stop. She tells me “she tried” & that “they did not listen to her & there is nothing else she can do”. I was furious! She is an event coordinator-this is a wedding & no bride should have to walk down the isle to the Village People/YMCA. I asked her to try again & instead she opened the door to signal me that it was now time to walk down the isle. Everyone was looking at me. What I wanted to do was walk over to the band and unplug them, but my nerves were already shot & I felt defeated. I started my decent down the isle & the YMCA song overpowered my chosen procession song. I wanted to burst into tears. As the ceremony started, I nervously looked around. My guests were distracted & kept looking back to where the music was coming from. The band would NOT end! My husband broke the tension by doing the YMCA dance during our vows. While that indeed did break the guest tension, I was still heartbroken that our ceremony was ruined. The band played for ~9 minutes into our ceremony-about half of what the time left was at that point. I blanked out on many of the words that were said, the readings my girls gave & the special moment that it was because of that band. We also paid for security to ensure no one walked in front of the ceremony backdrop while it was going on. Instead, people walked right past & caused additional distraction. While our guests told us we made the best of the situation, we found it completely unacceptable & totally disrespectful. We have it on video to prove it. At our reception we noticed the silver chargers we paid for at every table were not silver-they were gold. We had no gold in my wedding colors & in our plan it was noted we ordered silver. Later, we stepped out to the patio & noticed the cigar & bourbon table we planned for (with a bartender) also was missing. We noted for this to be on the patio. Instead, the cigars & bourbon were inside at the main bar. Overall, we were more upset about the ceremony. We wrote an email to the mgmt company regarding the experience-never got a reply.

Leoness Cellars wedding department was so great to work this! My best friend's daughter got married there in October and it was so beautiful! I worked a lot with Bernadett and Victoria day of and they were wonderful! As well as their staff had great hospitality! I couldn't be more thankful of how everything ran so smoothly. We had a blast! :) Thank you to everyone who made her day so special!

Had my wedding here. Learn from my mistake and avoid. The only good thing about the venue is the view, which is stunning. Leoness has such high turnover with its wedding coordinators. We had 4 of the course of a year. On our wedding day, they didn't save my husband and me enough appetizers to at least each have ONE of each appetizer. The icing on top - we were told by the staff that THEY THREW OUT OUR WEDDING CAKE before we even had a chance to get a slice. When we told our coordinator, she said she would talk to the staff. No reimbursement offer or anything. Again, avoid.

Leoness Cellars is a picturesque venue with the most gorgeous views at ceremony site and additionally a stunning barrel room for reception. The food from Temecula Catering was incredible and the guests raved. Additionally, the bar provided fast service with good hospitality. Similarly to other reviews, there was a lot of turnover in coordinators throughout our time planning the wedding. This did require some additionally effort on our parts in terms of ensuring that our timeline and details were accurate. We worked with Bernadette and Victoria on the day of the wedding and everything was very smooth and the day was an absolute dream. It is worth noting for future brides that bathrooms are limited for reception space (2 inside and 2 outside) and additional time and bar on adds are very pricey. Overall we are so happy with our experience on our big day

We loved Leoness and all it had to offer for our wedding! The views from the ceremony site are incredible and all of our friends and family commented on how breath taking it was. The barrel room is a unique setting for a reception! I would definitely recommend uplighting from your DJ though for when you start dancing. My reason for a 4 star review is we had 3 different coordinators from when we booked to when our wedding was. In this time I sent multiple emails to different people and I’m not sure they were ever put together. They day of our wedding, when I sat down to talk with the assistant coordinator one last time, who’d been there for 2 days and this was her first wedding, she had the completely wrong timeline along with other details that were wrong. Thankfully we were able to go over everything but had we not done one last check, I’m not sure what would have happened. The organization wasn’t the finest and after multiple emails back and forth you’d think it’d have been a little smoother. My other complaint was we paid for a champagne greet for each guest for 30 minutes prior to our ceremony and they did not start serving champagne until 12 minutes before our ceremony with only 1 waiter. But again the venue was great, food was great, wait staff was great and we had a fabulous time.

My husband and I got married 9/5 and it was absolutely amazing! Bernadette was our coordinator and she was Spectacular. She truly went above and beyond our expectations. From the Bridal room to the beautiful Barrel room and can’t forget the actual ceremony all perfect.. btw we also planned this wedding in 3 months and from the very beginning Leoness was so accommodating and helpful throughout the process. Thanks again for making our day special and especially to Bernadette for being so wonderful she truly made our day special and worry free!!! All soon to be brides this is def the spot 😊

We were married here on Saturday September 10, and it was amazing! Such a beautiful property for pictures, and the food was fantastic. As was the wine obviously. Shout out to our wedding coordinator, Bernadette! We had a difficult situation in that both rain and a fire affected our wedding the day before. The venue was under mandatory evacuation and our rehearsal had to be cancelled the day before the wedding, but Bernadette kept in constant contact with us throughout the day. Luckily we found out at 7 pm the night before the wedding that the evacuation order was lifted but Leoness did have a backup plan in case it wasn’t. Everything ran smoothly the day of the wedding, and Leoness stuck to the timeline perfectly. I would definitely recommend this to another bride. A few minor things that brought this review to a 4 star instead of a 5: -the barrel room was technically air-conditioned but the circulation wasn’t great. It did get very hot in there and most people moved to the patio for a large part of the night. -there is no wifi in the grooms suite Overall it was the perfect day!

Pros: Beautiful property, great wine and good food. Cons: literally everything else I got married here August 6, 2022. I was so excited when I booked it back in February 2021. Since we booked it we had 6 to 7 new coordinators each reassuring us of the day would go smoothly and beautiful. It did not! The morning of the wedding Alex let me know that it would be her last day and boy did it show. The whole day was completely unorganized and they treated myself my husband and the bridal party very poorly. I really started to go downhill once we actually walked down the aisle. They left the gates open to let guest bombard us even though they said that they would direct them in the right direction. My bridal party tried to help and when they reached out to Bernadette, the other coordinator she said “this happens all the time “. Instead of trying to make things right she constantly made excuses or just said straight up no. While my husband and I were taking pictures my bridal party was waiting without food or water in the heat even though they told us that that would be provided for us. When I asked about it she said oh it’s by the barrel room and did nothing to fix a situation. My photographer who said he usually backs up wedding coordinators said how trash they were. Our photographer was literally apologizing on their behalf. We had a famous basketball player at our wedding and were assured that we would have security. We even paid extra for an extra security guard. We did not realize that we did not have security until after we walked down the aisle and we saw onlookers from the restaurant peeping in to take a look at him. when we ask Bernadette to try to help situation she just shrugged her shoulders and sat down. My husband had to tell them to leave and it was embarrassing. Finally at the end of the night we were told that we had to pack up everything and leave. This would normally not be a problem if we were told before hand that this was situation. Their lack of communication made my guests and family have to scramble to help us pack things into our car. not the way we wanted to end our wedding night. Advertised it says that the barrel room has air conditioning. This is not the case. It was actually hotter inside the barrel room with the “air conditioning” than it was outside. We actually had to open up the doors to outside so that the barrel room would cool down. There is also a 20% service charge that they like to keep hidden. This does not include gratuity and is outrageous. These are just a few examples of the complete disaster it was. I hope another bride reads this so that I can save her from booking this venue.

We loved having our wedding at Leoness! The ceremony location provides beautiful vineyard views and the Barrel Room reception area had such a cool atmosphere. The wine was so good that we had trouble choosing which ones we wanted. Living in the east coast, we had a destination wedding in Temecula. It would not have been possible without the help of the wedding coordinator Taryn! She was able to bring everything we discussed virtually come to life just the way I imagined. The day went so smoothly with her help. She took charge so we didn't have to worry about anything, but also made sure everything went the way we wanted.

Our wedding was an absolute dream thanks to Alex at Leoness! We could not have picked a more beautiful and breathtaking place to get married and all of our guests had the most fabulous time! The ceremony area overlooks the most gorgeous vineyard you can imagine. Most important, Alex was amazing to work with and truly embodies everything that a wedding planner/manager should be! We cannot thank you enough <3

We cannot recommend this group enough. They exceeded my husband's and I's expectations of what our wedding could have been. We found this place by accident by looking through wineries in Temecula after a last-minute cancelation with another venue. The team worked with us the next day. We had a great tour and wine tasting and, after a short discussion, quickly chose Leoness. During the following year, they did have a change of staff but stayed in contact with us and kept us in the loop every step. Alex and Taryn eventually were the people we worked with, and I could write a book about how amazing they treated us and ensure that their day went on without a hitch. Again, communication was vital here. They answered our questions quickly and professionally. They worked with us on selecting linens and keeping our vendors in the loop. FYI - they have a great list of vendor partners as well. The day of rehearsal and wedding rolled around, and they guided us through every step of the way. Jorge and I left everything we needed for the ceremony and reception at the venue on the day of rehearsal. Their staff set up the reception and ceremony site for us, and we brought extra supplies too, just in case. They outdid themselves, and it looked better than we ever imagined. Every staff person we had was just a pleasure to work with, from the bar and waitstaff to the 3rd party security team. Geuniuanly pleasant people to work with given that we had a bi-lingual party, it never was an issue. If you are looking for your perfect venue, you need to stop by Leoness and talk to the team.

We held our wedding at Leoness Cellars in September 2021 and we could not have dreamed of a more perfect venue!! My husband and I looked at nearly every winery in Temecula, and Leoness hands down has the best ceremony location overlooking the vines, and the most unique reception in the barrel room. The vines in September are so green and stunning, it is truly the perfect time of year! Our guests raved about our reception in the barrel room, and are still talking about it. The staff at Leoness is flawless. We planned our wedding during covid and they had some staff turnover during that time, so I was a little worried about how the day would go but it was perfect! The wedding manager Alex was incredible, as well as her team Taryn and Nicole. I decided to have a DIY dessert table and brought in all the food and decor for it, and the team did a wonderful job of setting it up, along with all the other decor we brought in ourselves! They truly made my vision come to life. Thanks to them our entire day went so smoothly, and I never once felt overwhelmed or stressed. If you want the perfect wedding with the best team, Leoness is the place to do it! Not to mention, their wine is incredible, our guests loved it!

We could not have hoped for a more perfect wedding venue than Leoness. With so many wineries in Temecula, it can be hard to choose- but the view from the ceremony lawn at Leoness made the decision easy for us. Absolutely stunning. After the ceremony, guests take a short walk through the vines to the barrel room for the reception. Our wedding was in August 2021 and the vines were bursting with green leaves and grapes- absolutely gorgeous! Our guests loved it. The only thing better than the view at Leoness was the staff. Alexandra Jones, our wedding coordinator, was extremely attentive, responsive, and so friendly from day 1 . Thanks to her, the day of was flawless. We had an absolutely perfect day, thanks to Leoness! We would recommend Leoness to anyone and everyone!!

You cannot beat the beautiful vineyard views that Leoness Cellars provides. The backdrop to the ceremony location is just stunning! I still have guests raving that Leoness Cellars was the most beautiful wedding venue they have seen. This venue also provides the unique experience of walking through the vines to get to the reception area, creating a fun photo opportunity for the guests during cocktail hour. The Barrel Room is the perfect setting for the reception. It really immerses you into feeling like you're in the wine production room and brings the winery theme full circle. Just have some up lighting around the room and that's all you'll have to do since the room is already so stunning. Alex and Louise were our coordinators and what a great team! They made us feel comfortable and confident going into the big day. I did not have to worry about a single detail being incorrect or the timeline going astray; truly a wonderful, professional team. Thank you Alex and Louise!

Leoness Cellars was the most beautiful venue and perfect location for our wedding! The ceremony spot overlooking the vines is so incredible and breath taking! And the barrel room makes for an incredible evening with your guests and loved ones. The ceremony spot is so beautiful it really doesn't require much of anything in terms of decorations. You will feel like you have been transported to Europe. The catering company used for dinner service (Temecula Catering) was exceptional. We had so many comments that the food was the best anyone had ever eaten at a wedding! We completely agree! The wine at Leoness is also so good! The staff at Leoness on rehearsal and wedding day were incredible! So attentive and made sure everything went smoothly! One of the other nice things about Leoness is that it is not as known as some of the other wineries in Temecula and is one of the more affordable wineries in the Temecula area. We would highly recommend this picturesque winery for your wedding!

If you were looking for a venue in Temecula - look no further! This is truly the best venue! Every aspect from the ceremony lawn, walk through the vineyard to an outdoor cocktail hour and then dinner and dancing in the Barrel Room - was magical and felt like we in our own personal vineyard. The view from the ceremony lawn is absolutely stunning. Most importantly the event staff at Leoness is honestly amazing. They were incredibly helpful throughout the planning process (without being pushy or overbearing). During the rehearsal & wedding day, Mary and her team helped keep everything moving and on schedule without feeling rushed. I can't recommend this team and venue highly enough!

Wow, I can’t say enough about our daughter and new son-in-law’s wedding at Leoness Cellars. It was just perfect! Early October is a great time to have a vineyard wedding. The vineyard ceremony lawn is a beautiful setting. The reception patio and Barrel Room are lovely. The Bridal suite and Groom’s room were terrific, and so close. The catered meal by Temceula Catering was delicious! Many thanks to Mary! With her assistant, Sarah and staff every detail was taken care of. Anything we needed or asked, they took care of. Everything ran so smoothly. They helped a lot to set up and then at the end to help pack up our things. Our family and friends loved the wedding and reception, so did we.

Where to even start with Leoness & their wonderful event staff. We were beyond blessed to have such an amazing team to help create our vision of our day. It was perfect & beautiful. The venue itself looked gorgeous in photos and when we went to visit it we were totally taken back by the gorgeous rolling hills of the vines, the barrel room, and the overall elegance that Leoness presented. It was our dream wedding venue and we were so excited to book it. As a wedding planner myself you would think I would be totally stressed but I was completely put at ease through the whole process by Mary, Lindsay, & Sarah. Thank you so much for all of your work and dedication, it truly shows! Our day was flawless and we wouldn't have changed a thing! My daughter and son in law had their wedding ceremony and reception at Leoness Cellars. It was so beautiful and the staff went out of their way to make sure everything ran smoothly for them. The service was outstanding, the staff was great and our whole experience was top notch. It made the wedding even more beautiful to have such a great experience. There aren't enough words to express how perfect our wedding at Leoness was. You just cannot get a more picturesque setting for both the ceremony and the reception. The staff at Leoness also made the day of run as smoothly as can be. It is really all the little touches that make a difference, like the fact that they made sure we (bride and groom) got to actually eat dinner! And had reached out to make sure we had a glass of the wine we wanted waiting for us at our sweetheart table! I would especially like to thank Mary, Britney and Lindsay for their help with making sure this day was better than I could have wished for. Leoness was the venue for our son’s wedding. We found the venue to be ideal. The wedding staff were very helpful during the rehearsal and carrying us through the event that day. They provide a wonderful place for the bride and her party to get ready and a great guy cave for the men. The wedding setting was beautiful as well as the reception barrel room venue. Our guests loved it and so did we.

We had our wedding at Leoness, and it was terrific! We wouldn't change a thing. Sure there were a few bumps, but Mary, Brittney, and the staff at Leoness helped us through. Our wedding was beautiful and we will have terrific pictures forever.

I recently got married at Leoness Cellars and it was absolutely perfect. From the beginning, the events team was very helpful and informative. Mary, Britney, and Lindsay were all wonderful to work with - their attention to detail made things very easy for me! Everyone there is super nice and excited to help make your day special. The location is stunning. The ceremony site is right next to the vines and sits on a hill, which gives an amazing view. The guests are able to walk through the vines to get to the reception site, which I thought was a unique feature to Leoness. Couldn't recommend this place enough! Can't wait to go back!

My husband and I recently got married at Leoness and we are confident that it will be a wedding that is not soon forgotten or talked about. We started the wedding venue search in January of this year, and it was an easy decision once we compared spots of where to have our wedding. Leoness really has it all. Vineyard views, spectacular wine and food, affordable, AND our amazing planner Mary and day of coordinator Alex who we now feel like we will be mailing Christmas cards! Mary made the process so easy. She was responsive and was there for us the entire planning process. When it came to the day of, I felt like I was a holiday celebrity! They have weddings so dialed in, that I did not have to worry about a thing. When I wanted wine, wine appeared. Food? Cheese and crackers would be there waiting. Private car? Sure! All the way up to the ceremony site and throughout the vineyard to take pictures. Our wedding was absolutely magical. For me, releasing control of planning is not an easy task, but with Mary and her team at the helm, I was at ease from moment 1. Not to mention THE WINE! Many of our guests told us they thought that the wine was the best they had tasted in the region. So much so, we had a group of friends go to Leoness to taste and for the lunch the next day. Leoness has not just become where we got married that one time. It is somewhere we now have friends and will visit for many years to come as a happily married couple. You will not regret choosing Leoness as your perfect winery venue!

I couldn't say enough about this incredible venue. I fell in love with it when I was taking tours in the area. I walked in without an appointment, on a whim, and knew immediately it was the one. Mary, Alex and the whole team at Leoness are stellar and so professional. They've even made a ton of upgrades to the area so there's great value in choosing Leoness. They were worth every penny. People say that your wedding is the best day of your life... and I didn't believe it until I had mine. I had both my ceremony and reception at Leoness and it felt like a fairy tale. My wedding coordinator (Mary) who works for Leoness was so helpful and attentive to my questions and needs. Everyone raved about the ceremony site and the unique reception area in the barrel room. I never thought I would want to get married at a winery but on the big day and reflecting back on it now I really couldn't picture having it anywhere else.

When we began looking for wedding venues, I pictured a vineyard. As SD residents, I knew Temecula would be the destination. After doing my research, and visiting countless wineries, Leoness stuck out above the rest. Unlike other venues, I knew our wedding would feel intimate and private. I loved how Leoness only allowed one wedding per day. (If you're looking at Temecula venues, that's something I would definitely inquire about...). After booking our wedding with Leoness, I began working with Mary, the site coordinator. She was amazing. I loved how quickly she communicated through email. She was always available for us to meet at Leoness, and always very knowledgable and assuring. I'm slightly sad our wedding is over, because I won't see her as much. She was so kind and easy to work with throughout the whole planning process. Unfortunately, there was projected rain on the forecast. Mary was so quick to send me updates and alternative options for a rainy forecast, even on her day off. Luckily, it didn't rain...and our wedding was incredible. Our guests loved it! My husband and I felt like we were in a dream. There is nothing like that ceremony view on that hill. It's gorgeous... and the barrel room. It's so romantic. Our pictures and videos turned out so beautifully. We are extremely happy we chose Leoness. I couldn't have pictured the happiest day of our lives anywhere else!

Before googling wineries with barrel rooms in Temecula I had never heard of Leoness Cellars before. I am so glad I did! This venue is absolutely breath-taking and everyone at the venue was so amazing and helpful! The ceremony space with the vineyards in the background was so spectacular and the barrel room is so romantic and beautiful. I loved every minute of my wedding and thank you so much to Mary at Leoness Cellars for taking such great care of us!

This winery is really spectacular. Unique and off the beaten path in Temecula. We were able to provide our guests with multiple transitions throughout our event. Started outside for our ceremony, then moved down the hill at an outdoor patio for cocktail reception, then a walk through the vineyard before heading to the barrel room for our reception. Amazing. The challenge we had was the inflexibility of the venue with regards to set up time. They have a very strict contract with no room for negotiation of even 30 minutes extra or dropping off of equipment before your allotted 2hrs before event start. Be aware of that and be really sure your vendors can work under that timetable. Our Leoness coordinator, while great to work with in person, was not always responsive over email or to phone calls. It took multiple times to get a hold of her. It also took them 4-5 weeks from the signing of the contract to confirm and cash the deposit check. That was problematic, because it delayed further planning until the exchange of money and confirmation happened. We also got a wine club membership (to lower the cost) and that took several months to process. However, on the day of, the staff were amazing. If anything was an issue, I didn't see it, which is the way you want it to go down. We got nothing but compliments on the service during our event. Recommend the venue, but be ready to send constant emails and don't expect speedy responses during the planning process.

Leoness went above and beyond to make our wedding a fantastic day. They had great communication leading up to the event and were very flexible with our plans. The onsite coordinator made the difference and ran things flawlessly. We even forgot a case of wine keys and they shipped them to us free of charge. Fantastic Venue!

I had the wedding of my dreams at Leoness! The property is breathtaking and the ceremony site sits on a hill overlooking all of the vineyard. We were the only event on property so it was as if we rented a winery but didn't pay for it! The Day of Coordinator, Mary was great as was the rest of the staff. We absolutley loved Laura, the manager, she took great care of us from beginning to end. Laura and her team gave us such an amazing experience, we will cherish for the rest of our lives! I can't thank them enough!!!

I was in awe from the moment I saw the view but it wasn't until I met Laura, the wedding manager that I knew I had to be married here. She was so knowledgeable and organized and wasn't pushy like the other places. Laura seemed to really care about our wedding and was so helpful throughout the whole process. She always had a hug for me, which every stressed out bride could use. The entire staff that day was amazing. The winery is gorgeous and the food was great too! They exceeded my expectations. Truly phenomenal!

I was recently married at Leoness and I would highly recommend it to everyone! I was in awe the moment I saw the view but it wasn't until I met Laura, the wedding manager that I knew I had to get married here. She was so knowledgeable and organized, never pushy like the other places. Throughout the whole process she was amazing and so helpful! The entire staff catered to our every wish. Gorgeous location, great food and attentive and friendly staff! This place is phenomenal and I couldn't be happier!

We were married at Leoness and loved everything! They were so flexible and went above and beyond our expectations. The Manager was a doll and didn't mind working almost exclusively with me (the groom)! All of the staff was attentive and friendly. I can't say enough great about this place! I would highly recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I were determined to get married at a beautiful wedding. We went on TheKnot and used their resources to compare venues and found Leoness Cellars on the way. We went to look at the venue and it happened to be pouring rain on that day but we couldn't think of anywhere else! The staff was friendly, the venue BREATHTAKING, and we knew it was the one. We didn't have to see it anymore and we knew. We couldn't have been more happy with our choice. Everyone loved the venue and commented on how beautiful the area was. It truly is worth looking at, even in the dead of winter!

The venue was absolutely beautiful!! August/September are definitely the months you want to get married here. My husband and I just got married here on 09/17/11 and the winery was just breathtaking. There were grapes on the vines and it was green everywhere. Our guests could not stop raving about the location and many of then told us it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been too. And as the bride, I got to rid up the ceremony on a horse &amp; carriage who then stayed to give our guests rides after the ceremony! The one negative though was their event coordinator. We had some problems with her responding to our calls/emails and letting us have what we requested for the wedding but in the end, it was all so worth it. Definitely recommend this!!
