ely last-minute decision to get married, and decided to have a celebration down the road. In this situation, we were nervous whether we would be able to find somebody flexible enough to officiate our micro-wedding on a few weeks' notice. We found Leslie through an online search and contacted her after reading her impressive reviews. From the first interactions, it was clear why Leslie is so acclaimed: Leslie was incredibly responsive, flexible, and went above and beyond to make sure that we had an unforgettable day. Leslie made a considerable effort to get to know us such that our ceremony could be tailored around our story as a couple, and written according to our preferences. All of our friends and family following along on Zoom were blown away by how masterfully and eloquently Leslie conducted the ceremony! It is worth emphasizing that Leslie did all of this during a pandemic, when many justices (understandably) shy away from doing ceremonies altogether. By contrast, we were able to work with Leslie such that the ceremony was safely conducted with COVID precautions and was an unforgettable experience overall. In short, if you are thinking about having Leslie officiate your wedding, look no further. Leslie truly goes above and beyond, even in unprecedented times!

e vs. her follow-through the day of. In retrospect, I realize that Leslie figured she could show up and "wing it" because I had informed her it was a very intimate gathering. Leslie was stumbling through her words throughout the ceremony, mispronouncing the groom's name even though we had gone through this numerous times prior to the day. She had her head stuck in her binder, and was pausing at awkward times throughout the ceremony. It was cringe inducing and distracting when I wanted to be in the moment and focused during the ceremony. I chose her over another justice because Leslie claimed to be a justice who doesn't use "cookie cutter" dialogue. However, I found nothing particularly creative about Leslie's work product for my ceremony. I had to ping her to get a final draft, which turned out to be a cut and paste (mixture of different font sizes, colors, basically sloppy) job. The content seemed to just be filler upon filler paragraphs of cheesy dialogue that she probably used in previous weddings to fill up time. I ended up deleting a lot of it. The best part of the wedding was when she left.

For example, she incorporated facts about how we met, and the connection we both have to literature, which was particularly appropriate, as the wedding was literary-themed. Her attention to detail and her language use were both exquisite, as were her recommendations about how and when to incorporate readings. We wanted to interweave a couple of poems (as well as a multidenominational blessing) into the ceremony, and were a little flummoxed in thinking about how to make the whole thing flow well—and not feel choppy or scattered. Leslie had terrific recommendations about where to place particular readings; in the end, the ceremony moved along effortlessly. Leslie was so considerate, composed, kind, and thoroughly professional. She went above and beyond in preparing and reviewing the vows—and in finalizing details with us before the rehearsal and the wedding day. I loved collaborating with her, and think so highly of the work that she did. I can’t say enough about her dedication to us as clients, her work ethic--and her graceful, thoughtful presence. I found Leslie through all of her glowing online reviews; the reviews are very well deserved.

She met with us in her home to review and even baked us a cake! Everyone commented on how nice the ceremony was and I was very pleased to work with Leslie, not once, but twice! She is very responsive and takes the information you provide her to write a personalized ceremony. She was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend her.
